Darwin Martinez Torres was charged with the murder of Nabra Hassanen on Sunday in what police are describing as a road rage incident, Fox 5 DC reports. Torres got into a dispute with a group of people early Sunday morning after they left a sleepover at a mosque in Sterling, Va., according to Fairfax County Police. After Torres drove his car at the group, he chased after them with a baseball bat and struck Hassanen, police said, before taking her away in his car. A group of forensic psychologists at GWU examined Seth Rich's murder and concluded that it was not a random shooting, robbery gone wrong, or any of the other theories offered in the media, but was most likely either a targeted killing, or a serial killing.
Didn't read the entire thing, but it includes some interesting details that I didn't know, such as the fact that Seth Rich was conscious and talking when police arrived at the scene, and that he did not know he had been shot.

There are reports that this guy did not just randomly come upon this group of teens on the road and "have a confrontation." He apparently was in contact with them earlier at McDonalds.
I believe that there was some prior connection between the girl and the killer. Could be that he was dating either this girl or one of the girl's friends. And this guy was mad at her for some reason (she dumped him or convinced friend to dump him). And he followed her and attacked her to kill her.

From what little has come out about the injuries, it doesn't sound like it was a .22 or an airgun, but a typical handgun caliber.
Suppressed handguns come in around 125-140 decibels or even louder. (including subsonic rounds)
On an open street, Shot Spotter would almost certainly pick that up.

There are reports that this guy did not just randomly come upon this group of teens on the road and "have a confrontation." He apparently was in contact with them earlier at McDonalds.
I believe that there was some prior connection between the girl and the killer. Could be that he was dating either this girl or one of the girl's friends. And this guy was mad at her for some reason (she dumped him or convinced friend to dump him). And he followed her and attacked her to kill her.

It was covered locally as missing young girls in danger (the lurers), because they didn't come home for a few days, separate story from the body being discovered in a park.
Very dramatic on the news, when one of the teens walked into her house while the mom was giving a tearful plea for her daughter to come home, via interpreter.
