Sorry about the link, but it is illustrative of the lack of intellectual rigor on the Left. The writer freely admits that the facts do not match a "hate crime" charge, but suggests that it is one anyway, because of FEEELZ!
Nabra Hassanen's death may not legally be a hate crime, but it sure feels hateful

A hate crime, as we understand it, fits into a tight, legal narrative. It's a crime motivated by prejudice -- whether it's based on race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
And so far, investigators do not believe Nabra was picked out, targeted and killed specifically because she was a Muslim wearing an abaya, walking to her mosque. And it seems that she was not killed simply because she was a young woman walking outside in the darkness.

So I guess we are done here!

But no....the writer dips into the fetid swamp of stupidity that is the current state of journalism.

But her mother said detectives have told her that Nabra was struck with a metal bat.
There is no doubt that hitting a 17-year-old girl with a bat and dumping her body in a pond would be an act born of hate, which is rage's twin brother.

A Fox doctor said the "assault" rifle ammo were more deadly bullets. I doubt he used "frangible" ammo ... (and they are not assault bullets). Isn't it mostly the higher velocity that causes most of the fragmentation? I'm guessing part of the reason handguns "need" the higher caliber is because they have less velocity, for one thing.

The actual surgeon said there were hundreds of fragments ... which surprised me. I thought a hollow point was a hollow point, (mostly, some variations), whether shot from a handgun or rifle. just curious.
