The Morning Report 6/16/17

AndtheDifferenceIs.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thank G-d the weekend is here, although insurrection and terrorism never sleep, right? As the events of the last 48 hours have unfolded, what has struck me, and many of you based upon the comments in yesterday's threads, are the parallels between the tactics of the Democrat-Socialist Left and the Islamist movement. Kind of ironic, though, how the PLO started out (and continued) with acts of terrorism and then switched to international politics, but over here the politicians who were defeated are now switching to terrorism. While not everyone on the Left will resort to physical violence, far too many will openly cheer it while an even greater number will accept it and think "well, they had it coming." But the one individual who has the morality and character of a reptile, along with the shoes, handbag and skin to match, is Nancy Pelosi. Not even one day before faking "kumbaya" she goes to the microphones and blames the GOP for the violence she and her comrades foment, instigate and support. When you call for "Resistance" you're not invoking Ohm's Law, sweetheart. You have blood on your hands (there are a couple of stories in the links of more Democrat-inspired terrorism). And that is all I have to say on the subject. I'll let the photo up top do the talking. The other major story is - as if we didn't know - it is apparent that Robert Mueller is now the instrument that the Deep State is using to impeach oust President Trump. If there is any "resistance" that should be formed, it is that of We The People against what is in effect a seditious, traitorous coup. The latter is more or less soft but certainly the shooting is not and both I fear are going to get a lot worse. Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

It is possibly worth noting that the SKS rifle used in the assassination attempt is a Russian/Soviet design in the hands of a Democratic operative in an attempt to kill a Republican leader.

Just sayin'

16 anyone mention this already? Kurt Schlichter (Townhall) on Mueller and Comey:

Mueller needs to resign -- that's what a guy with unimpeachable integrity
does when he realizes his personal relationships give the appearance of
impropriety. It's also what someone who conforms to the applicable
regulation does. That regulation is 28 CFR 45.2,
and it says that Justice Department employees cannot participate in a "criminal investigation or prosecution if he has a personal or political
relationship with... Any person or organization substantially involved in
the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution."

All Mueller can do, from my reading, is refer his findings to the House, who could then begin impeachment proceedings. Or not.

The democrats want to keep stirring the pot, I can't see that as getting them to 51% in any elections. Far from me wanting to help them win an election by offering advice.

Sure, it could keep their base excited. But their base does not get them to 51%. It's gonna require a bunch of people in the middle ground that might just take assassination attempts as something especially abhorrent and reprehensible.

23 Just read the China article. Chilling.

We should be, instead of boosting green technology, using those funds for a "strategic stimulus", to make sure we're getting a leg up on all of the industry we need going into a war (lead, steel, copper, tooling, etc.)

Government has a duty to provide for the common defense, and the Chinese are not our friends. We don't want to be relying on a probable enemy for strategic materials.

Rush touched on a point a few days ago that is salient, and worrisome. He did not want to embarrass the pundit but he read a column from someone putatively on our side who said, in effect, "Could it be that this whole Russia collusion thing and obstruction is all a myth?"

As he read the piece, it turns out it was written by Jazz Shaw, sooper gee-nee-uss. If that is the perception of a supposed deep-thinker, what must the average GOP congress critter think? And they already dislike PDT.

40 Well, I, for one, woke this am thinking that now would be a good time to start up a private security company. It seems to me that there will be a demand for private security in the aftermath of recent events. People will demand security, and many will pay to have it. So get into the private security business while you still can.

Unfortunately, I then found this on the dark web; the web where you have to know the address of the unregistered, unregulated server.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Common Sense Proactive Security

I think that we can all agree that what this country now needs, in this time of crisis is a common-sense approach to homeland security. Rather than overreacting to the events of the last few days and leaving personal security in the hands of private individuals, and private, poorly regulated, companies what we need to do as a free nation is re-examined our national security infrastructure and rebuilt our security assets to a higher standard.
What we need is a Federal Security Force to protect our communities from radical extremists who carry out these all too common violent attacks. By Federalizing our common security concerns, we can bring the resources of the Federal Government to bear on this seemingly intractable problem. By setting Federal Standards, and hiring the very best men and women, supplying them with the very best training, and equipment, we can create a Federal Security Team that will significantly reduce the risk we all face in our daily lives.
With these expanded resources, we will be able to proactively engage the hidden problems before they become horrific headlines in the news media. By expanding our security teams, we can investigate potential terrorist acts before the terrorists have time to put their plan into action.
What we need is a proactive security force, not one that merely reacts to events as they happen; consisting of the best-trained men, and women with the highest skill levels possible, who can keep our country safe. I call upon Congress to enact legislation to create a National Security Team of law enforcement, working with the Department of Homeland Security, with the counter-intelligence assets necessary to put an end to these horrific acts of violence by a few, a very few, deranged individuals.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Looks like the Federales are already working on a solution.

Because as far as I can tell, we don't have any kind of cogent goal and I'm no longer down with generic oh it will help stop terrorism. Now, the plan will go out the window almost immediately because the other side gets a say too but if we have a plan to start with that means we can that adjust the plan.

On the leaks thing, Insty had a fantastic point that these leaks are all illegal. Thus the prosecutor's office, and he is a prosecutor, is breaking the law itself.

66 Trump could replace Rosenstein maybe, but yeah, it is optics. But there is cause for Mueller to step down since he is close friends with Comey, a prime witness in all this.

Normally it is the AG that can pass out immunity, not the FBI. But one article says that special "prosecutors" have special powers, and can grant immunity without the AG. Mueller was "special counsel", whatever that means.

But if Mueller can pass out immunity to his buddy, that gives Comey a lot of ability to trash Trump with all his "made me uncomfortable" crap, as he did to the nation in his testimony (where he admitted committing what sure sounded like criminal leaks).

So Mueller can continue for 8 years, attacking Trump with this witch hunt based on a Democrat fabrication. Selective prosecution, selective leaks, fascist deep state and the globalist mafia in control.

Trump does have to counterattack, not just stay silent letting these damaging leaks dominate every news cycle. But maybe he is already completely marginalized ... he seems to keep choosing deep state players ... maybe there is no other kind in DC.

The target of the investigation is not necessarily Flynn; it's Donald J. Trump. Does a pardon stop the whole thing? I have no idea.

Again, the optics of that are hideous, but given the fact that the media is about as trusted and loved by the majority of Americans as bathing in raw sewage, I'd say go for it. In fact, only Donald Trump could do it and survive unscathed. Hell, his approval might even jump.

I agree. I know a gentleman who has been a slight left leaning independent his whole life who told me recently he identifies as a conservative now. As he put it, "intellectually speaking, there is no place else to go." My younger relations are more right leaning than I was at their age (out of neccessity perhaps), but what does the democrats offer them? A worthless education and tougher job market financed through debt and heavy taxes?

At first I thought this was a possibility and gave it some consideration.

However I have ruled it out for two reasons. The viscous language in the letter and the fact it was sent to her neighbors as well. That type of menacing inanity tells me this was no fake, only a lefty nut job could come up with that.

117 That, however. might send the "Hate has no home here" people completely off the rails.

Speaking of those signs I remember something from decades back. I had a friend in high school who was a major talent in nearly every sport. He married right out of high school to his high school sweetheart. Call her Jane. Behind her back we called her Plain Jane. She was nice enough, but thoroughly plain. My friend eventually made it into baseball for an exceptionally short period of time. I believe they stayed married.

Anyway, that's not the point. I read once of a major league baseball player, not my friend, who was in the process of divorcing his childhood sweetheart, because she was not a 'major league wife'. Apparently he had decided, upon looking at his teammates wives that she no longer measured up to that standard. Make your own judgments on that.

To finish this overly long story, the neighbor down the street has a 'major league husband' in his looks and earnings, while she is not even backwoods minor league farm team. She is the one responsible for the 'Hate Has No Home Here' sign being on their lawn. I'd like to have a crystal ball to see how long that lasts.

Sorry for so much scroll worthy content.

The Left's ideology has made them willfully blind. You could put ironclad evidence in front of their nose, it wouldn't change their mind. It doesn't comport to their worldview, therefore it doesn't exist.

What passes for leftist thought tells them that if they just believe hard enough, the diversity thing will eventually work. They don't do cause and effect, or reason. It's all about feelings and "fairness", where every idea, no matter how mindbogglingly idiotic, is equal and has a 50/50 chance of working.

When an actual leftist, whose social posting are terrifying because of how common they are, tries to ASSASSINATE republicans, we get the f*cking NYT claiming this was less political than a democrat politician being shot by an insane person with ZERO connection to conservatism or the republican party. The term for this is fellow travelers. The left targeted education, the media, and Hollywood exactly for this reason--to control the culture. It is the air we breath. But it took Trump's outrageous and unexpected win to peel off all the masks. This is what they are. 134 By June, that frustration had reached a boiling point, largely fueled by Giacalone's resignation months earlier. Frustrated FBI personnel were beginning to question the pace of the case and believed their intelligence gathering and analysis were beyond strong enough for a referral to the Justice Department in early 2016, sources said. Agents were left to wonder if their dogged research would ever see public eyes. There was a fear creeping into the case that perhaps the investigation was being politicized, that FBI and DOJ brass were trying to run out the clock, or "slow-walk" the case, on what should be considered an easily warranted criminal indictment prior to November's general election.

Suddenly, Giacalone's retirement in Feb. was starting to make more sense to FBI grunts who didn't have the seasoning and street smarts of the retired New Yorker to digest the landscape, months prior, of the probe's downward trajectory

"The window here has almost closed," a federal law enforcement source told True Pundit in June. "Clinton should have been interviewed months ago. There is no longer enough time to refer it to DOJ, vet the case with AUSA's (Assistant US Attorney's), the AG and her staff, prepare the case, call a Grand Jury, and put the case on."

Officials in June reiterated that all those elements in the legal process, if expedited without delays or legal snags, would put a grand jury decision to indict in late September or October, just weeks before the election.

"Can you imagine the uproar if she was arrested weeks before the election?" a federal law enforcement source said. "There was a window we were shooting for and we could have made it but everything is so slow now. I mean, she hasn't even been interviewed. It's incredible."

Work out what it is by the day. Put up a sign in the press room: Day 10? 12? with the figure--no other comment--and update it daily. Post it at rallies, too.

People who have to be careful with money aren't happy when it's being wasted.

Yellow Journalism is also another good thing to call it. They still teach about that in the schools. Use it, and it's like a shortcut to getting people to seeing the man behind the curtain.

The shoe fits. It's pure manufactured BS, for the sake of driving up ratings and pushing a political agenda.

I told him, among other things, that Sanford had been around the block and he knew darned well how to handle the press. I sensed that Sanford was hearing from a lot of people.

I think it's important to pick up the phone. And when possible talk to someone or leave a message.

164 " Mueller have been as close as Abbott and Costello for decades that he does not recuse himself.
I'm apoplectic over that, let alone this whole insanity." JJ

yeah, it is a bad indicator that Rosenstein ever appointed him, against all legal standards. How was that arranged?

The whole thing looked like a coordinated plan, hatched by Deep State (Podesta?) and coordinated with the media. With no evidence, no crime, they appoint special counsel before Trump is even out of the gate. And since it is the campaign, they push Sessions to recuse and BAM ... there is old Mueller marching into extraordinary untouchable unelected power for the next eight years.

And besides the corrupt Comey connection, Mueller has many other skeletons that point to a globalist agenda, antagonistic to America First. And the "global governance" players (Cronkite/MFM, Hillary, CFR, and so forth) are all antagonistic to our Republic. Our sovereignty is being sacrificed on their "New World Order" altar.

215 "Chinese Opera"

I once saw a Chinese Opera in Hong Kong.

I enjoyed it, though it's definitely an acquired taste.

There was a famous Chinese opera singer (I assume a woman) in one of the main roles.

She had this way of ending her "arias" that must've been her signature cuz every time she did it-

she'd step forward and get a standing ovation and cheers. Which she did several times during the opera.

For awhile, I got a lot of laughs by annoying the lovely and tone-sensitive Mrs naturalfake,

by randomly inserting that finishing song bit randomly into our conversations.

OK, one more post before I leave...

You could really consider what Congress is contemplating doing to be the "coup", they're just too damnably stupid to get the support of the military first. Trump leading the military against it would then really be a counter-coup.

But that's getting a little too close to "winner/spoils" territory for comfort....

223 Mark Sanford is proof that Washington ruins people.

He was first elected to the House in the class of 94 I believe. The Republican wave election class. He came in as a real conservative and vowed not to let Washington ruin him. He didn't even get a place to live in Washington, he slept on a cot in his office. (Later, I think, he moved to a crash pad with another Congressman).

He voluntarily honored the Contract with America term limits, and left the Congress after 6 years. He ran for governor of SC and was re-elected, then had his famous/infamous walkabout and resignation from office followed by a very ugly divorce that ended up being bigtime local news.

Fast forward to Tim Scott being appointed to a Senate seat, and Sanford ran to replace him - it was the same district he had represented from 94-2000.

And here he is pinning some of the blame for Scalise's shooting on Trump.

Bah, humbug. With friends like these....

Now I realize there is a lot stacked up against him, and if there is a man for the job, it is him, but it's quite possible the forces of tyranny are so powerful, the cards stack so much in favor of the opponents, that playing the hand dealt you perfectly is the only way to win.

236 Andy McCarthy is a good and decent man according to a couple of my brothers who have known him since high school (Card. Hayes in the Bronx.) So like most of us here, I pretty much trusted everything he said.

He came out very strongly in favor of Comey throughout the campaign period and then when he did finally start to question Comey's actions, it was only in the mildest terms. After Comey's most recent congressional testimony, I fully expected Andy to denounce him strongly, but that has not happened as far as I can see.

Very disappointing.

237 Chinese Opera - Part two

There is a few seconds of, for real, Chinese Opera, in the movie "Raise the Red Lantern".

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101640/

To the ears of a westerner like myself, who had never heard anything like it, it takes the brain several seconds to recognize the sounds as a human voice, and as 'singing'. It is not until the dialog between the singer, who is somewhat hidden by the set design on an upper balcony, and the main character on a lower floor, center stage, explains what those sounds were.

A serious WTF? is that moment.

239 Hello everyone!

Thanks JJ for your stalwart service in keeping us on top of things.

I owe the crowd an update on my issues. I've been continuing therapy and while I have my criticisms about the whole Psych field, it does help to be able to talk about things to a neutral person. So from that aspect its helping. I'm still avoiding the medication route for the time being...I want to see how this talking stuff works first.

Main thing for me right now is to find a passion, ideally something positive. My work has been it for a long time, though since that has had some changes (I won't bore everyone with specifics) there is a hole there in my life that needs work. Challenge is to find something to fill it.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the support I've been shown. I'm not going to let anyone down. We need everyone, especially in the days ahead. I don't want to be missed, but more importantly...I don't want to be *missing*.

240 My comment from ONT which fits here.

There is something which makes it easier for me to get through the days news, every days news recently.

All
the "news" stories get sourced to "anonymous officials." And within
days those same stories turnout to be total or mostly works of fiction
designed to push a narrative into public discourse and dishearten people
like me. However.

These "anonymous officials" are not really
anonymous. Their names have to be known to the NSA for one and since
they are leaking classified information there is a reason to unmask them
and those who they are calling. The head of the NSA seems to be the
only Intel head wasn't an Obama-snake. Actions done by him and by the
Trump transition team make it appear that he may have given Trump a
heads-up that he was being "wiretapped."

Real and serious
investigations don't show up in public until arrests are made and people
are arraigned. I pray that there is a serious, ongoing, investigation
of the leaks among other things. Things like Hillary's server, which was
what the old Podesta/DNC email thing was used to drive out of the news.

Like Rosenstein said, we, the public, don't even know what country, government, agency, planet even that these "sources" are from. They, like "Climate Change," "Russians hacked the election," could be ghosts rattling around in the minds of crazy lefty journalistas. Writers as snipers.

Hobbies are good. Especially good is donating time to some charity in which you might have some abilities to offer.

Oxytocin* is a helluva naturally produced feel-good drug. Naturally produced during sex, and helping others, and a host of other bonding type activities.

* Not to be confused with oxycotin -- whose manufacturer should be ashamed for giving it that name. One is good and free, one is addictive and costs a fortune.

282 WitchDoktor - good to hear.

A few things: I have been pitching people who are dealing with severe stress to read a couple of books - Scott Adams latest, "How to Fail at Almost Everything...."

and a book by Shawn Achor titled "The Happiness Advantage...."

I think they go along with what you wrote here - "Main thing for me right now is to find a passion, ideally something positive."

I won't write a thesis on the books but a quick takeway - maybe you don't need one big passion, but a number of smaller ones to fill in under the curve. (not actually in either book, but a synthesis of what is in there.)

I had the opportunity to see Achor speak in person and it was a good reminder for me.

Something that is expressly in both books - you can rewire your own brain, it doesn't necessarily require meds.

http://preview.alturl.com/fszsk

One other thing that Achor stresses - personal connections are the strongest predictor of health outcomes. That being said - invite for beer still stands!

Thanks very much. I appreciate your thoughtful support and agree with your assessment of Amazon. I expect that my husband wasn't the only person his supervisor had to fire this week. There was a woman-maybe not quite as old as he-but probably in her late fifties who kept telling FenSpouse-"They're probably going to get rid of me soon." I can't think this is good for Amazon's if enough people are complaining. I certainly intend not to order anything from them again if i can get it someplace else. Yes, I'm one person, but they have thousands of employees there-many of whom are unhappy and who are probably looking for something else.

But the left always projects ... and when they speak of Trump being tried for "treason", the truth is there is a lot of anti-American activity going on in deep state and the Hillary/Podesta campaign, who have the real ties to Russia.

WitchDoktor - good to hear.

.... "Main thing for me
right now is to find a passion, ideally something positive."

- maybe you
don't need one big passion, but a number of smaller ones to fill in
under the curve.

Starting small helps. I was in a similar place. That whole what makes you happy thing used to drive me crazy. One day I got the answer -- dogs. Dogs make me smile. And gots one of those so you are a head of the game.

Also Army brat loner kid here so reading was a passion. But I was told I needed something else. Remembered as a kid I loved paper dolls. So, went out and got paper dolls. Cut them, colored them, made up story. Stupid, but it broke the cycle and made me laugh at myself and just feel good.

Also, lesson learned. I had a heck of a lot more patience as a kid. Lots of those paper dolls were missing limbs, heads etc...but hey, it worked. Be well.

There are several books on the Taylor murder, Anna, but I'd recommend two:

A Cast of Killers by Sidney Kirkpatrick. It's based on notes and interviews from director King Vidor, who was thinking of doing a movie on the Taylor case. Experts say it's riddled with mistakes, but it's a cracking good read.

Tinseltown by William J. Mann. A long, but excellent read on the Taylor case and Hollywood power brokers.

When I was just a kid -- working four part-time jobs -- I had the greatest car stereo of the time. 8 track with four channel sound. Not many groups recorded in four channel, though. I remember Santana was one, and Billy Paul.

It was pretty damn awesome to have four distinct sounds coming from every speaker and some of the music was engineered especially to highlight the effect. If I was a dope smoker I probably would have spent my life in that car.

Anyway, Billy Paul had this awesome 4 channel tune - War of the Gods - that was especially good from every speaker. The lyrics weren't half bad either...

♪ The time has come, for bad things to end
The time has come, for life to begin
The time has come for the War of the Gods ♪

435 Has there been a firm determination on what causes autism?

The latest thinking of what autism IS is that, during a child's development, they reach the point where, normally, a large number of brain synapses die off, leaving the structures that the child has developed over the first 18 months or so of experience.

This leaves an autistic child with an over-circuited brain, which can manifest as sensory sensitivities, cognitive or speech difficulties, and developmental problems.

As for actual cause of that failure to trim the excess brain circuitry? I have no idea.

Otherwise they will keep this up until they get what they want. And they have made it clear how they would treat us and our families.
Our choice has now become: Do we sit around twiddling our thumbs as they kill us or Do we strike back hard now while we have at least some advantage.
I say we go for the first strike now and knock them back on their heels and then finish them off while they are down.
Will it be messy? Hell yes it will be very ugly and messy but always keep in mind the alternative will be just as messy and ugly only with us on the receiving end of things.

Well, no. Not really at least. This sentence is a bent nail.

He was them. They are him.

He didn't need a horrible life event to push him over the edge. There was no layoff or kid lost due to an overdose. There was no hateful divorce or even an argument with a neighbor. He decided to do what he did after thinking exactly what Leftist think. No more, no less.
