USAA Will Begin Advertising on Hannity Again

Okay.

Well, Hannity's audience, which includes a lot of veterans (I'd guess), probably counter-pressured USAA to resume advertising.

However, given that USAA targets servicemembers for their services -- it's time, I think, to demand that USAA stop running ads on CNN, Kathy Griffin's most prominent employer.

Given that she urges the assassination of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, mimicking ISIS -- the US military's enemy -- in a mock beheading.

And if they don't, it's time to for patriots to cut ties with USAA.

If these are the rules of the game, then let both sides begin playing by them.

Corrected: I garbled the words in a sentence that was inelegant to begin with and said, wrongly, that USAA employs Griffin, when I meant USAA should not advertise on CNN, which features this ghastly hag every New Years Eve.

72 MS did a little trick to trick users into agreeing to the upgrade. They changed they default behavior of the upgrade nag pop up.

Before, summarily closing it would say "no". Then they changed it to where summarily closing the box/popup was saying "yes". To say no, you had to explicitly click something.

The way to handle that was to uninstall the Windows 10 upgrade thing, which was delivered as an automatic update.

I did that, and was never bothered with it. After the free upgrade period expired, I thought that was the end of the upgrade nagging.

I later installed it clean to play with Bash on Windows, the WSL subsystem, and discovered the free upgrade was still working.

I've always done clean installs since way back. Upgrades are too problematic. Something would always go wrong.

A quick Google. If that windows 10 update nagging is still going, you want to uninstall update KB3035583

And, then hide it in Windows Update so it won't try to install it again. Of course, you need to have automatic updates turned off and set down manual, ask to download and to install.

122 Hearkening back to another epic corporate misstep, it turned out that the entire giant fiasco at Target regarding transgender bathrooms hadn't ever even gotten up to the CEO level.

The actual Target CEO had this shitrain descend upon him out of the blue, and wipe out an enormous amount of shareholder value, and he ends up blamed for it all, when he wouldn't even have approved it if he'd been asked in the first place whether it was a smart idea.

The original brainstorm to go all in on transgender restrooms had actually come from Target's (deep breath) "Chief Corporate Social Responsibility and External Engagement Officer and EVP", Laysha Ward.

Ward is, needless to say, and just as you'd imagine, an SJW in a suit. One of Sheryl Sandberg's "Lean In" legion. Sporting a BA in journo-list-ism and an MA in "social services administration".

You have to wonder if a similar dynamic has prevailed at USAA, where some affirmative-action leftist flunky saw a chance to pull the virtue-signal lever really hard, grabbed it, and did a whole lot of damage to the company brand before the boss and the board even had an inkling of trouble.

Yeah, that's a load of horseshit. The CEO says that NOW. What was he saying then?

Cornell, appearing Wednesday on CNBC's "Squawk Box," confirmed the company would not be reversing its policy. He called to mind the civil rights movement of the 1960s by evoking Target's past in using African American models in its advertising when it was socially unpopular to do so.

"We've had a long history of embracing diversity and inclusion," Cornell said. "A couple of weeks ago, one of our team members sent me a note reminding me that if we went back to the mid-60s, our company was one of the very first to use African American models in their advertising. And back then, you know, it wasn't well received. We had a lot of tough feedback, but sitting here today, we know we made the right decision."

JFK was a rapist adulterer who owed his career to a far more talented staff, RFK liked encouraging terrorism so much that his end was outright karmic, and Ted Kennedy seemed content to act like Dorian Gray, except without the wit and superficial beauty that made an evening with the character seem tolerable. And of course, the rest of their rotten clan possess talent in inverse proportion to their entitlement.

As for Kathy Griffith, I do not honestly care. Letting her hang out there is a friendly reminder: if the Second Amendment was abused as roundly as the For I is a these days,, Americans would have about as many guns as Australia now.

There is a difference between judging someone, ala Christ and that big final deal, and being judicious. Today I saw a trailer for a new movie with Judy Dench. It's about Queens Victoria's friendship with a poor man from India.
Of course, you just know that
1) they must state that he is a muslim.
2) he's the nicest and wisest person on earth.
3) Queenie loves him above all else.
4) it's based on a true story.... so the filmmakers say.

All I could think when I saw it was," Oh, right, taqiyya!"

Since the Koran doesn't seem to have a prohibition against grown men marrying underaged girls, maybe sexting with a teenager isn't actually a deal breaker.
Although being a registered sex offender is gonna play hell with his being "primary caregiver" for their little boy.

OMG, what is wrong with that woman?? "Strong role". That must mean most of the time, so that she can be elsewhere.
