Me three. After 40 years of getting up at 3:30 AM, old habits are hard to break even in retirement.

I do enjoy the sound of the birds in the morning though.

And coffee.

16 Repost from the dead-

An update from yesterday when I mentioned the terrible crash at Indy by Sebastien Bordais -

Multiple pelvis fractures and a broken hip. If you've not seen the replay of the crash, watch it at regular speed. Slow motion doesn't do it justice.

That he's still alive is truly amazing. The worst head on racing crash I've ever seen. Traveling somewhere around 230 mph when he hit the wall.

I don't follow racing, but it amazes me that with all of the restrictions and rules that they place on the cars to make them "safer" and slower, the cars keep getting faster and faster.

24 Cord cutters. Now I see that Youtube is offering a TV service with live TV available in limited markets for now. They plan on expanding the live service. The better news is that they have a pretty robust sounding DVR service included. Right now it's only available on your IOS, Android devices, and chromecast. Might be worth keeping an eye on it though.

If "they" don't figure out a way to slow the cars down at tracks like Indy, somebody's gonna get killed and the drivers will stop.

I think it should be called the 'Cowards Coup'.

I mentioned yesterday in something unrelated, that the ability of our nerve cells to fire off information to our brain, then back again to our hands and feet is restricted to a speed estimated at 200 miles per hour.

Expecting humans to be able to achieve results bordering on the physically and mentally impossible hour after hour, is simply waiting for the horrific to occur.

A phrase we need to use more often to describe all of these "anonymous sources": Yellow Journalism.

Despite how debased the history curriculum is these days, they still teach about yellow journalism. If you use those words to describe the globalist media and their tactics, it'll have a lot more credibility than "fake news", because they know it's a thing that actually happened before.

Just getting the reflexive, disinterested, habitual left to question their sources will win more recruits for our cause than anything else we could do.

Yes, yellow journalism is exactly what it is.

In another time and place the practitioners might have been shamed into stopping the practice. But the entire concept of 'shame' has been entirely rejected by the left.

Any method they can employ in furtherance of the cause is now acceptable.

I did a lot of hiking in the mountains, before the gambling casinos big and tiny took over certain towns. Nice little towns in the mountains, kind of touristy. Was back in those hills 10 years ago, couldn't believe how the "quaint little towns" with gambling were now nothing but slots, and more slots, and probably pot shops.

118 I work for a large chemical company. One day, I asked our HR person in CO how the pot legalization had affected our business. She said it was now incredibly difficult to find temps and lower paid employees for the plant for two reasons. 1) even though pot is legal, since we still do drug testing, pot smokers don't want to work for us and 2) we're in competition with the stores that sell the pot for the same employee pool. They can work at the pot stores, which apparently are popping up on every street corner, and make a higher hourly wage plus, they don't have to worry about drug testing.

Let more states do this and the fabric of our country will continue to slip away.

148 Here is a recent note from a pastor friends church newsletter:

"When things get worrisome, as they sometimes do, I like to play a game with those I'm with. It's called "The Good News Is....." One of us starts, and has to complete that sentence, "The Good News is....,I am alive and breathing." Then it's the others turn: "The Good News Is, we've been in this situation before, and we've come through." And we go back and forth until the exchange feels complete. It's a great way to turn things around when we find ourselves surrounded by negatives. The Good News....actually the Great News-is that, in God, we live and move and have our being. God surrounds us everyday, His love is never far away. His possibilities are endless. His goodness is ours for the accepting.

Friend, can you think of three ways to complete the sentence, "The Good News Is...."? I invite you too try it and turn your day around.

O.K. I will:

It's a beautiful day outside. I have people in my life who love and like me. In a few hours I will be on my way to spend a couple of days with clergy friends at a meeting where-besides business, we will share prayer, Holy Communion, worship and some laughs.

You know, it would be funny as hell if some enterprising families got their kiddos together in a classroom setting and produced -

a parody video of the kids all mindlessly singing/chanting as they did for Obama,

except about-

"Donald J Trump Mmm Mmm Mmm"

Like so:

"When strange women came to play
He grabbed they pussy
Right Away
Donald J Trump Mmm Mmm Mmm

He made us free
And that's no lie
He'll make Obamacare squirm and die
Donald J Trump Mmm Mmm Mmm"

He'll build a Wall
And Make us safe
Can the Air Force now the border strafe
Donald J Trump Mmm Mmm Mmm

He saved us all from Hillary's hell
Can he now do something
About Hillary's smell
Donald J Trump Mmm Mmm Mmm

That would be awesome!

The explosion of heads would be glorious!
