#FakeNews: In Thirst to Embarrass Trump, New York Times Puts Out Bogus Story About Crowd Size at NE Patriots Visit to White House

Jonathan Turley explained the media's attitude towards their visceral, nearly sexual desire to Get Trump: he quoted Oscar Wilde's quip that "The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it."

If #FakeNews to #GetTrump is wrong, the media doesn't want to be right.

37 It doesn't matter how contrived, manufactured, deceptive or downright slanderous NYT/WaPo/CNN product is. Their true believers slavishly lap up every rancid drop and then share all over the internets.

By the time the factoids are corrected, the LIVs have another meme to add to their Urban Legend of Illegitimate Preezy Donald J. Cheeto-head.

Posted by: kallisto at April 20, 2017 06:47 PM (kD8Fh)

38 Allysn Camerota is now claiming that with O'Reilly's departure, that there is "more to come" regarding all the sexual harassment claims.

She is gleefully sitting at CNN, a network no one believes, talking in hushed tones about how she worked at Fox and she knows the culture there and there was nothing you could do about it because Roger Ailes was the end of the line for complaints.

I will say this. You cannot have your female staff dressed the way the vast majority of Fox's reporters and on air personalities dressed, and not end up with either unhappy women believing they are simply sex objects on air(hello, why do most of you think you were hired) or having compliant females who find the dress to their liking because they want to use those attributes to advance themselves. And when it doesn't happen, boom, out come the accusations, wrong or right.

Every one of these complaintants, including Camerota , worked at Fox for years, accepting what they now are complaining about, until their contract was up.

This is why I'm not distraught over BO'R leaving. He represents the Old Guard. As you know, there is an entire population of younger folks, aided and abetted by some of us older heads - who eschew the alphabet soup propaganda and use the internets for their news.

78 For media types with short memories (BIRM), Tom Brady endorsed Trump before most of the Horde did.

Reporters at the time tried to press him on the reason for his bold political stand. "Because he's a friend of mine".

Brady is not a political human. His main interests are dating supermodels, knocking up B-list actresses, answering fan mail from Adonis, and eating the living entrails from his victims.

He's pro-Trump. Robert Kraft is pro-Trump. Trump called Kraft once a week for a year after his wife died just to make sure he was ok.

I still don't particularly like Trump, but he has a strong tie with the top Patriots because they actually know and like each other.

95 78 For media types with short memories (BIRM), Tom Brady endorsed Trump before most of the Horde did.

Posted by: Bandersnatch at April 20, 2017 06:56 PM (gIRsn)

This made me laugh because it is true. I'm still disappointed that Brady bent the knee over Giselle being a rabid Anti-Trumper. She must be a real handful when she gets pissed off for Brady to back down. This speaks volumes.

98 New York Times ... that was that company that Carlos Slim bailed out once, right?
Posted by: Mortimer - Finish Her!

When I think of the New York Times..... I think of

Mexican Radio

I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
And the touch of a world that is older
Turn the switch and check the number
Leave it on when in bed I slumber
I hear the rhythms of the music
I buy the product and never use it
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can't understand just what does he say?

I'm on a Mexican radio
I'm on a Mexican radio

I dial it in and tune the station
They talk about the U.S. inflation
I understand just a little
No comprende--it's a riddle

I'm on a Mexican radio
I'm on a Mexican radio

I wish I was in Tiajuana
Eating barbequed iguana
I'd take requests on the telephone
I'm on a wavelength far from home
I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
I dial it in from south of the border
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can't understand just what does he say?

This was often co-ordinated through the White House with Favreau and Rhodes calling the tune, with Obama and Jarrett directing. 199 Gee whiz! For years I have been collecting mp3s to flesh out my own personal music library, suited to my own eccentric taste. I have them organized by decade/era. I had pretty much gotten every song I ever wanted from the 1976-82 era. But there as always a vague uneasiness in the back of my consciousness that I had left out some band that I used to like...but I couldn't remember anything, so I dismissed the vague felling as baseless.

And then suddenly, just a couple of hours ago, it occurred to me out of the blue what I had forgotten: Cock Sparrer!! (Slaps forehead.) Duh!!!

So now I have just added "Working," "I Got Your Number," and "England Belongs to Me," and AT LAST I have gotten rid of that nagging feeling that had dogged me for years and years, and my collection feels complete. Ahhhhh.

Interesting side note: It is only now, after rehearing them for the first time, that I realize that Cock Sparrer and definitely Brexit supporters, and are at the sort of central nexus/core of the "working class patriot" early punk ethos.

Never mind that on that last point the Medicaid budget goes up every year. Check the recent agitprop in the mouthpiece.

He also posted a wedding photo yesterday of his parents, whose anniversary was...yesterday. His mom has been battling cancer. The only game she made it to last season was the SB. She is spending time with him and family this week. Sounds more like he wanted to spend their anniversary with them because maybe there aren't many left. Priorities in order, etc. There is always more to the story than what the media wants us to believe.

This seems prudent. Except 7,000 square feet is too small. With that kind of money, even the bathrooms should be 300 square feet minimum.

In the late 90's the CEO/CFO of the company I worked for arranged for us to be 'bought' by some .com with 1% of our market capitalization. Our stock tanks 22% the day the deal was announced. Eventually it fell though and we bought out our CEO/CFO for $25,000,000 (10% of our annual profits).

Turns out they had clauses in their contracts that paid them buco bucks if they could get our company bought.

At the time I was telling my co-worker that i'm Italian, I know people who could have them killed for a fraction of that. I was mostly kidding.

Look how he starts that article --referencing Trump's "short insecure fingers" Instead of admitting he was utterly and laughably wrong about Trump and wrong for advocating for Hillary to be elected --and what's more, in fact, Trump kicked his guy's ass in the primary and beat Hillary, not because Hillary was so bad, but by out campaigning her and going over the media directly to the people, Miller wallows in his fantasy that Trump is the insecure guy with a small dick.

353 I wouldn't make a good Uber driver, because I don't know where anything is outside the few routes I drive frequently. Get me outside of them, and I'd be hopelessly lost.

355 Hi Hogmartino, Hi Jane!

I think we need to have the NoVaMoMee this year, just to keep the planet spinning on its axis, and I would not be averse to a MichiMomee as well. Alton, are you in?

357 I've always thought Sgt. Pepper was overrated, but I can see how it must have sounded revolutionary in 1967, what with all the sound effects, orchestration, and so on.

Revolver is my favorite Beatles album. The 14-song British version, that is. It rocks better than Sgt. Pepper.

Posted by: rickl at April 20, 2017 08:15 PM (sdi6R)

Agreed. Revolver was far more the boundaries. The first time I heard Sgt. Pepper I could imagine what a the fuss was about. Trying too hard to be trippy

There is a lovely five-acre island off Tarpon Springs for 600K.

If I sell everything, I'm a few hundred K short. But a man can dream.

360 Five acre private island for $600k? Is it a deadly spider preserve or actively on fire or something? That's an amazing price.

So ... one of you fucks are going to cock-block me on this - but here it is. And like I said - I'm about four $100 thousand stacks short anyway.

For sale by owner (Dr. Moreau).

We're always joking about buying our own Horde redoubt (okay, it's always me) but this sounds doable.
