Khizr Khan Changes Story Again

He originally claimed that he didn't attend a speaking event in Canada because his "travel privileges were being reviewed."

A US citizen for more than 30 years, Mr Khan, a lawyer, was notified on Sunday evening that his "travel privileges had been reviewed," according to Ramsay Talks, the company behind the talks, based in Toronto and hosted by Bob Ramsay.

That claim came from the company announcing he had withdrawn from the speaking engagement hustle, but Khizr Khan backed it up with an attached statement:

"This turn of events is not just of deep concern to me but to all my fellow Americans who cherish our freedom to travel abroad. I have not been given any reason as to why."

When questioned about this hard-to-believe story -- as a US citizen, he can't have his "travel privileges" (which isn't even a concept in American law) cancelled -- he refused to comment further or explain his curious claim.

Khan himself is doing little to clear up the confusion. An email sent to the KM Khan law office, which lists Khizr Khan as an attorney, on Monday was returned with a brief response: “I have no comments." It's unclear whether it was Khan himself who replied. Multiple media outlets, including The Washington Post, Reuters, McClatchy, and Politico, reported that Khan declined or did not respond to additional requests for comment.

Khan himself is doing little to clear up the confusion.
William Stock, an immigration lawyer based in Philadelphia, professed his puzzlement about Khan’s account. “Mr. Khan has not provided any details that would allow me to figure out what the heck he’s talking about,” said Stock.

Well, now Khizr Khan has decided to make "comments," and the comments are, apparently, that he was not telling the truth the first go-round.

He now says the people reviewing his "travel privileges" were not the US government, but... just he himself.

Khan changed his story of what happened last week.

In a March 17 email to a Richmond, Va. radio station, Khan said that it was his own decision not to travel abroad.

"I did not want to go through the hassle of uncertain rules and capricious implementation," Khan told WCVE's Hawes Spencer.

Agitators of all stripes are given to creating hoaxing to advance their political agendas. The leftwing media is always suspicious that any right-leaning actor is just making stuff up, but tends to believe every damn claim coming from a lefty.

That didn't happen here, though -- Khan's claim was too silly for even our corrupt and incompetent media to believe it. They repeated Khan's claims, but were by and large skeptical.

But now he's confessed this was all bullshit from the start -- and I don't see anyone in the leftist media reporting this.

Why did the Wiklileaks dump of DNC e-mails not include a single e-mail to or from Hillary? Word is that all Hillary e-mails were held back. If so, why?

I used to travel frequently with the CEO and we both hated waiting in airports so we would wait until the last second before leaving the office. Our record was something like 14 minutes from leaving the office to boarding.

He's in flip flops, shorts, and t-shirt with his military backpack with a change of underwear and his iPad.

He goes thru the nude scanner, gets the full-body pat-down, and has his hands swabbed for explosives (they've done that to me). They searched his bag, and finally sent the three of us to the gate (after patting me down thoroughly).

He was fuming. The gate agent announced military could board, and he was one of several young Marines in shorts and tees who got up to board. He was pulled out of line one more time to go through his poor, worn-out backpack.

But Comey also confirmed that the FBI had warned the DNC it was being hacked back in August 2015 -- presumably not a sophisticated Russian APT 28 and APT 29 hack -- and the DNC did nothing. And Podesta opened the doors by yielding to phishing.

Also, if the Russians have Hillary's missing 33,000 e-mails and wanted to hurt Hillary, why wouldn't they have used them before the election (as Trump joked), unless instead they expected her to win and were going to blackmail her after? Another Projection at work here?

260 BTH, not sure that particular change (dropping provision related to checking applicants for tax credits as to immigration status) is really that important - it could/would be *reasonably* challenged as to germaneness on a reconciliation bill, I think.

Said it before (last thread), say it again:

* repeal, in reconciliation, the parts enacted via reconciliation in the first place

* immediately move a full repeal through the House, placing the entire onus for *not* fixing this mess on 10-12 Senate Dems from Trump states who are up in '18

Basic, obvious, screaming-at-you-hey-dummies-remember-how-politics-works? politics.

In a previous era no aspect of the GOP's handling of this would have been conceivable. It is literally refusing to engage in politics, on a one-sided issue, the biggest open door any faction ever had in front of them to push on, in our history. Astonishing.

Posted by: LizLem at March 21, 2017 06:58 PM (hvf9s)

Eh, there are nicer things one can bring back from Hawaii. You can get chocolate-covered macadamias pretty much anywhere. Some real Kona coffee is a good one. Handicrafts from the swap meet. Cutlery and cookware from Chinatown; I've been using the same carbon-steel wok for ages and it's got the best seasoning on it, plus some hilariously sharp chef's knives and cleavers that will hone to a very good edge.

The best-kept secret of Hawaii though? The mahu. If you ever make it out there, be sure to take a bus to Waikiki at night and ask for the biggest, freshest mahu around.

Ugh, that's all the way up the H2. I'd rather fish for mahu along the south leg of Kam HWY than take that boring-ass road.

True story - the SO's cell phone got dropped, and Iyou couldn't hear him talk.
He called and after the first set of two beeps to my questions I said, "Shit, are you doing a Captain Pike because I can't hear you talk?"He said he knew I was the one because I sussed it out so fast.
