Iran might also decide to pay a visit to the Gulf States and the Norks to up their blackmail game.
Needless to say America would gain almost nothing out of such a move.

Well, possibly true, but the real truth is that most of the "opposition" to Obama for the first year was peaceful Tea Party protests. The anger and resentment did not ratchet up until the first true ACT of opposition, committed by the liberal state of Massachusetts, sending Republican Scott Brown to put a stop to the Obamacare BS.
After that, the people actually elected Republicans to democratically put a stop to the Obama agenda. First the House, then the Senate, and along the way, 2/3 of the state governors and their legislatures as well.

The CIA was pretty weak from its inception. The OSS did some interesting things, but I can only really remember one CIA success during the whole cold war - when they blew up the Soviets fast eastern oil pipelines under Reagan.
They were involved with some other successes, like Chile in 73, but that was really just supporting the plans of local anti-communists.
The KGB's record stands as a pretty serious indictment considering their level of success during the same time period.

True. He's the first guy I've dated in ages that is shorter than I am. His legs are short but he has a long torso, so when we are seated we are close in height. So it is not too big a hindrance.
I think a lot of the dating shorter stigma for women is that they think men need the ego boost of being taller. And some men do. We love each other so we've let our egos go about height. More important things to worry about!

I would hope that would be true, but based on my experience with these types, just a few soil the batch. They aren't honorable foes. They are sneaky, backstabbing, vindictive shites who say yes, and pretend to grovel, all whilst plotting their revenge. Eh, it's a little murky. As I said, it was reported today that Flynn knew the call was being tapped so I think that might hurt any claim of being secretly listened to.

I think the core of the Neocons have an assimilation problem. Remember, this movement started from a small community of European Jewish intellectuals that relocated from Eastern Europe to New York City in the 20th century. They established their own magazines and talking shops where they waxed forth on political theory, art, literature and so on, mostly just among themselves. For a while they were Marxist, but eventually flipped to support market economics.
But what they carried back from the Old World was the lens through which they viewed society, reflecting their own particular history and circumstances, and having little to do with the USA. When someone can nonchalantly and unselfconsciously toss out a comment in a public forum that it might be best if the American white working class were simply replaced by people brought in from other countries, and who believes that non-democratic rule by a cadre of elite globalists would be preferable to having a president whose main agenda is to revive industrial jobs for Americans and keep Americans safe from illegal immigration and terrorism, then I suggest we have someone who is only weakly assimilated to our country.

Here's the thing about political coalitions: They end up containing a wide variety of people who believe different things all claiming the same label.
If we're going to get a party that's as Conservative as we want, then it'll take literally decades of work to topple the big government Republicans from every tier of the party. The Tea Party's efforts to do that have already born significant fruit, but as we all know, we still have a long way to go.
You want to knock those people outside of the Conservative Label? Then you have to make sure that they are actually so far off from the center of that label that no one would take the label seriously.
We may sit back and say, "Neo-cons are really conservative", but there are very large swaths of the Republican Party that say they are. We need to alter those numbers so that the Party leaves them, and they don't leave the Party.
The front lines of that fight is really at the state and local level. As long as there are governors and state legislatures that would agree with Bill Kristol and continue to support Lindsey Graham, then the next generation of Republicans is sure to come out just like them.
We're most likely not going to change Lindsey Graham's mind. We're also most likely not going to knock him out of the Senate (as much as I would like). A more productive use of our time and treasure would be to make sure that the person who takes that seat from Graham when he retires is chosen from a source of Conservative Republicans more like Ted Cruz than Graham.
You want to fight a real fight? Fight state Republican Party's that are Republican in Name Only. It will take literally years to bear the fruit at the federal level, but it will bear fruit, and it'll pay more dividends than another abortive primary campaign against John McCain.

I dream of a Super PAC, started by the Horde, that's designed to knock off centrist Republicans in state districts that are generally much more conservative than their representatives. The sort of district where Republicans automatically win no matter what and the representative has gotten really soft. But, it's at the state level so almost know one knows who their representatives are, much less than the normal rate for a U.S. seat.
We pick a state per cycle, throw in a few million dollars, and take out about 10% of the Republican office holders, replacing them with much more conservative options. We then move to another state, trying to make our presence as unknown as possible as late into the game as possible so it's always a surprise.

The yuuuuge problem with your argument is that it is the SECOND, not the first, generation of neo-conservatives that comprise an establishment alienated from the experience of normal Americans.
Irving Kristol had a fully sympathetic view of the middle-class, of the workers and farmers that the Left was spitting on as "hardhats" and "rednecks." Bill Kristol? Not so much.

Don't give them too much credit. Did you ever see their war plan from the late 50s? The post-communist Czechs declassified them. Basically it was to nuke the everloving shit out of everything of significance in western Europe at the outset, then roll between the craters in sealed tanks. Nine days to the English Channel, was the plan. Guess they didn't want us fighting our desperate holding action and bringing in reserves and materiel.

Heck, that's even true *within* some states. I swear that if the Beverly Hills or Bel Air neo-con crowd just drove over "the Grapevine" and spent a week moteling in say, Bakersfield, it would open their eyes a bit.

I left early and went to the Moon Pie General Store. Since it was right there, I also went through the open air market. They have so many pretty things. Too bad I don't have unlimited funds!
I was able to get back to the room much earlier than usual, so I'll have a laid back evening.

But the point you are raising is not uncommon in contemporary immigrant communities. Often the first generation has more of an affection for the new country. We see this with Hispanic immigrant communities where the crime rate is higher with the second generation and they are more open to La Raza radicalization. We see it with Muslims, take Major Hassan as just one example.
But I think there is a different dynamic going on here with Kristol et al, I don't think it's a first generation - second generation thing at work here.

Yeah, but the actual bureaucracy isn't in govt unions. GS-14, 15 SES or even professional GS11 and up aren't in govt unions unless they're blue collar.

It worked for them because conservative saps like you worked to hold everything together while they tried to rip it down. If you haven't noticed they're more than willing to bring down the temple if they down get their way. They will not do you the service you did them. There will be no conservative "long march".
