Chris Cuomo: Saying "Fake News" to a Journalist Is The Same As Calling a Black Person the N-Word

Oh, yessss. Nailed it!

You must have a background in carpentry because you sure are good at nailing things deep and flush.

What. A fucking. Imbecile.

"Fake news is the worst thing you can call a journalist," he added. "It's like an ethnic disparagement."

"Wait, Ace!" I can hear the commenters I don't like very much saying. "You said he used the 'n-word.' All you've given us is 'ethnic disparagement.' You're giving us fake news, hypocrite."

You were warned, you had it explained in the headline, and yet you persisted. Keep your skirt on Sacajewea, I'm not done ripping off the DC Caller yet.

...

Cuomo repeated his claim during an interview on Sirius XM POTUS' The Michael Smerconish Program later on Thursday.

"The only thing that’s bothersome about it, is that I see being called 'fake news' as the equivalent of the n-word for journalists, the equivalent of calling an Italian any of the ugly words that people have for that ethnicity," he explained. "That's what fake news is to a journalist."

This is among the stupidest motherfuckers working in cable television, and there's an awful lot of tediously stupid motherfuckers working in cable television.

Now this functionally brain-damaged toad is on his inevitable apology tour.

"I was wrong," Cuomo tweeted in response to the backlash stemming out of his comments on CNN and Sirius XM radio. "Calling a journalist fake -nothing compared to the pain of a racial slur. I should not have said it. I apologize."

These stupid status-panic motherfuckers are forever droning on about Trump's ego and how he takes every slight as a vicious attack, but what are these dullards and Legacy Admission students doing but "thinking" with their bloated-but-brittle egos, defending the Privileges and Immunities conferred upon them by nothing except their delusions?

More from Bre Payton at the Federalist.

8 You can see him thinking:

1. Saying fake news is the meanest thing you can say to a journalist.
2. Saying the n-word is the meanest thing you can say to a black person.

That's it!!!! I'll just say fake news = the n-word and then I can imply they'r all raaaaaaaaacists! #Winning!

113 I wonder if ANYONE in their profession realizes that when the First Amendment was written there was no such thing as "real journalists" and "wanna-bes"; no such thing as "credentials."

"Freedom of the press" meant "anyone - ANYONE! - who owns a press and wants to disseminate info to the masses.

In the 18th Century, everyone with a press was basically an independent blogger.

114 Blumenthal received five deferments, from 1965-1970, before enlisting in the Marine Corps Reserve, though he was never sent out of the U.S. During his six years in the Reserve, Blumenthal was stationed in Washington, focusing on a slew of local projects, such as a Toys for Tots drive.

During his political career, however, Blumenthal frequently walked a precarious line, often framing his service just ambiguously enough to give the impression that he had spent time fighting in Vietnam.

"I served during the Vietnam era," Blumenthal said in 2008. "I remember the taunts, the insults, sometimes even physical abuse."

373 I will not be Willowed:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but all of this is over the temporary stay of
the EO created by the TRO? And then the issue of the legitimacy of that
stay was taken to the 9th Circus? So basically, the matter goes back to
the District Court for a hearing on the merits while the stay is in
effect (we all knoe how THAT will turn out)? But if Trump pushes this to SCOTUS, and say, the whole Court
hears it, it splits 4-4 and the District Court is upheld?

So why
not either 1) reissue the EO; 2) allow it to go back to the District
Court, take every step to harden immigrant monitoring, and if any terror
attacks happen, lay that shit VERY PUBLIC-LIKE directly on the Judges
while waiting for Gorsuch to take the bench?

It's a fucking joke we've come to this, but I fear putting this in front of the SCOTUS a man down.

i live reviewed 50 Shades Grey here. It was a fairly tame ripoff of Secretary. It was not so awful that it was actually fun to goof on. It was just sort of there. Not exactly terrible. Not even close to good, but not terrible in that special way that makes a bad film enjoyable to discuss.

not either 1) reissue the EO; 2) allow it to go back to the District

And specifically point out all the terror acts committed by people from those 7 countries.

417 If journalists and the Media in general weren't so loathsome, I could feel sorry for them.

They're between a rock and a hard place. They've lost the trust of the general public and will never have it back, unless they do one thing: report on Democrats with the same thoroughness with which they report on Conservatives.

But if they do that, no Democrat will ever be elected to any office, ever again.

As I said, I could almost feel sorry for them, if they weren't almost entirely responsible for the destruction of America through their selective reportage.

But I don't feel sorry for them. I hope they die in fires, or jump from buildings, or are murdered by the very jihadis they champion.

Not sure if you could tell or not, but I really hate them

Yes, repudiation of the judiciary's malfeasance and lawlessness is the only course that prevents grievous damage to the already near-collapsed constitutional balance. But we're unlikely to see that. Unless 9th en banc or SCOTUS crushes this, Trump faces a decision on whether to accept a gigantic turn of the ratchet (in the area least violated by judicial lawlessness, to date).

465 >>>Takes place in Seattle, right? I think I remember reading a review that said the author had clearly never been to Seattle. The descriptions didn't match reality. Obvious shit like a character "looking south out of XYZ building and seeing ABC" and, of course, that's physically impossible.

um, that was me reviewing it. (I reviewed the Kindle sample.)

It baffled me that she set in Seattle, a city she clearly did not know and could not provide any interesting details about (her idea of a telling detail is name-checking the hIGHWAY that runs around the city, a fact that can be picked up from Googlemaps) rather than setting it in a city she DOES know -- LONDON.

Now, London has a lot of character, right? And it's an international city. And one of those cities people dream of, right?

And she KNOWS IT. She LIVES THERE.

But, whatever, this is a Bella/Edward porn fan-fic, so it has to be Seattle.

Incidentally, it would have worked better if "Grey" was a creepy dissipated ENGLISH nobleman and the girl was an American Innocent Abroad, too. That way, she'd be physically disoriented on on his turf and at a disadvantage, which plays into the whole dom-sub theme anyway.

It's expensive for a day pass so I spent a good bit of time there - in addition to my normal workout I took a swim, and I shot some hoops. I haven't played basketball since 6th grade, when I was a decent shot. I missed my first 7 3 pt shots then hit a couple, and I ended shooting about 70% from the FT line and 25% from 3.

Barry 'the totes super good athlete' missed 21 (!) shots in a row and he supposedly shoots hoops often.

His point was that when you're (a) a billionaire and (b) a *famous* billionaire who's on the teevee constantly, plenty of women not only consent but also actively invite crude advances which would be instantly spurned had they come from an unknown working stiff.

The first rule of female hypergamy is that you're not supposed to talk about female hypergamy. The second rule of female hypergamy is that you're not supposed to talk about female hypergamy.

506 The Seattle Underground, the buried remnants of the original central city:

http://www.undergroundtour.com/about/history.html

Speidel ultimately did find the remains of the city consumed in the Great Seattle Fire of 1889, a town founded on mostly soggy tideflats whose streets would, whenever the rains came, bloat deep enough with mud to consume dogs and small children.

After the fire, which destroyed some 25 square blocks of mostly wooden buildings in the heart of Seattle, it was unanimously decided that all new construction must be of stone or brick masonry. The city also decided to rise up from the muck in which its original streets lay.

It was this decision that created the Underground: The city built retaining walls, eight feet or higher, on either side of the old streets, filled in the space between the walls, and paved over the fill to effectively raise the streets, making them one story higher than the old sidewalks that still ran alongside them.

Building owners, eager to capitalize on an 1890s economic boom, quickly rebuilt on the old, low, muddy ground where they had been before, unmindful of the fact that their first floor display windows and lobbies soon would become basements. Eventually, sidewalks bridged the gap between the new streets and the second story of buildings, leaving hollow tunnels (as high as 35 feet in some places) between the old and new sidewalks, and creating the passageways of today's Underground.

Eight years after the fire, in 1897, the Yukon Gold Rush brought 100,000 adventurers through Seattle en route to Alaska. The resultant financial boom brought to Pioneer Square all manner of entrepreneurs, including barmen and gamblers, con men and madams. When the rush was over 10 years later, these slippery people stayed on and gave the area a bad name. Reputable businesses moved uptown, and Pioneer Square was quickly forgotten.

...

now in a movie about subterranean sexual stirrings don't you think that should have been included in 50 Shades of Grey? Like a private S&M party in the hidden sub-city beneath the city?

whatever

557 537 I stepped out into the New York city streets, which were swarmed with busy New Yorkers, all walking quickly to go to high-profile jobs in the magazine and architecture industries.

In front of me, I saw the Empire State Building, which for many years was the tallest skyscraper in the world. King Kong once climbed it.

Off to the west, or the east, whichever, I saw the spires of the Brooklyn Bridge. Wait, are they spires? Whatever. The things that go up. Many New Yorkers in New York cabs bustled across the proud and mighty bridge, to go watch the Yankees, who famously play in Brooklyn, or wherever.

As I headed down the bustling at all hours New York streets, I stopped in for a bagel. It's a New York thing. I picked up a copy of the Times (it's just the Times here) at a corner bodega. Bodegas are the thing in New York. Everyone says so.

Up ahead, I heard car horns honking and raised voices. Oh the cabbies of New York, nothing like them.

As I walked through Times Square, I could already hear the birds chirping in Central Park.

The only thing larger in New York than the University is New Yorkers passion for their football team, the New York Football Giants. I don't know how they can fit a football stadium big enough to hold all these people in a city like this, but if any place could do it, New York could.

As I continue through downtown New York, I notice that it's true, you can buy anything here. Why, several nice young men came towards me from an alley offering to sell me kitchen knives of all things! I declined to give them the money they were asking for them and continued on my way through the greatest city in the world.

626 They call New York the City That Never Sleeps, and I realized how apropos that was as a I downed my sixth cuppa joe ("joe" means coffee in New York) at an after-hours Diner on the corner of 57th and Tribecca. Outside there was a guy playing the drums, just like the guy who played the drums outside the diner in Taxi Driver.

It was 5am, and I had no obligations and no one waiting up for me. I decided to take a chance -- a New York style roll of the dice, like in the hit Broadway play "Guys and Dolls." (Broadway is a major thoroughfare in New York -- one could say it is "quintessentially New York," but a new York cabby would just say "Awww, fuggetabowddit!!")

So, deciding to take a chance on what life has to offer in the small hours, I did what New Yorkers do -- I went home, nestled in my bed, and watched six hours of Orange is the New Black on Netflix.

659 "I spent a couple of weeks in Seattle in 1979."

That decade was not kind to that city. Today's high-tech sector there had not yet come into existence. Boeing was at the time the largest employer in the area. And Boeing's board having in the late 1960s made their famous double gamble on the 2707 SST supersonic airliner and the 747 widebody.

The enviroleft killed the SST with regulatory lawfare, and the 747 launched into the teeth of a combined recession and oil crisis that wasn't kind to big jets with a hearty appetite for fuel. Boeing cratered. Massive layoffs.

That's when a local realtor put up the infamous billboard at the city limits which said, "Will the last person leaving Seattle please turn off the lights?"

After 6 hours of Orange I was still rarin to go from my previous java infusion. But what to do? Head down to Rockefeller Center (named after that famous New York family, the Rockefellers) and go ice skating like in all the movies? the city is under 15 feet of water. Seattle flooded so much they declared the first level of the city to be the new basement of the city, and roads were lifted up the second level, and the second level of buildings became ground level.

True fact. I think. I saw it on the Internet.

Posted by: ace at February 09, 2017 09:22 PM (8rNrN)

Not quite that way, but close. The hills were so steep that you would take a long set of stairs down to the street from the first floor of one building and another long set of stairs down to the first floor of the building across the street (1st Avenue mostly). You can take tours of it under Pioneer Square. The old building entrances are still there.

The area around the old Kingdome (site of both stadiums now) used to be flood plains and they literally washed the hills down to fill it in and extend the waterfront out about 2 blocks. That's why they've had so much trouble digging the Alaskan Way tunnel - it's all that washed landfill and anything else people decided to throw in there.

Ok. I saw a lot of that shit last week at the metal fest. Hung with a tall Swedish chick with nice melons. Looked a lot like Natalie Portman. For some reason you see a few people walking around with strange costumes. One chick was dressed like Xena, looked like her too right down to the rack..impressive really. Saw another dressed like some ancient greek goddess, had some thin white sheet looking thing that barely draped across her overly pushed up boobs.

But then later I saw her, the tall Swedish chick, she was wearing a black cat woman style mask with a jeweled perimeter, a really low leather top and some tall boots with buckles all the way up to her knees.

She walks up and says,"you recognize me?"

To which I answered "parts of you"..

702 When did politicians, police chiefs, etc. need a whole phalanx of people standing next to them on the podium?

What kills me is that every police chief in the nation seems to wear four stars, because police chief is pretty much the same as being Patton.

Here's a review of Fifty Shades Darker. He notes that the actress is talented, the actor is talented, and even the director is talented (directed Glengarry Glenross) and yet they've all combined to created an awful shitty movie.

705 No, Seattle wasn't in bad shape at all in 1979. There was still a banking industry then, and the downtown was what you'd call "bustling."

I had dinner right outside the old Kingdome, which wasn't all that "old" then. Big fish market, lots of upscale seafood places. I liked it.

I wonder, is that big drill rig still stuck in the tunnel?

I knew the loathsome 9th Circus was going to uphold that lunatic district judge's stay.

And the fucking Supreme Court is now a 4-4 tie.

This is one of the most ridiculous rulings ever. The "political branches" have plenary power over immigration. Plenary means near absolute. The Supreme Court has ruled on this before. It's a no brainer.

And POTUS has inherent Article II powers on this in addition to statutes passed by Congress.

Either way, the Judicial Branch has only extremely limited powers on this. I don't really know of any power they do have over this, actually, but this case is clearly not one of that limited review power they have.

But we've got a 4-4 tie, and the 4 leftist wackos, Ruth Buzzy, Wise Latina, Fat Ass, and Breyer don't care, and will side with their fellow leftist wackos.

He been a pretty independent thinker over the years, it would be great to have him on "our" team.

Posted by: Coast Starlight Washroom Jones at February 09, 2017 10:45 PM (ry6W6)

720 I don't think it's "ignorant" to name your daughter Dakota. It's a pretty-sounding name, with a lot of history behind it. I've known of girls named Cheyenne and Cherokee and Shawnee, too, and I'm okay with that.

There are Indian tribes whose names would not make good girl's names, like Potawatami and Algonquia and Arapahoe.

But if it sounds nice, why not?
