Reports: Trump May or May Not But Probably Is Considering Gang-of-8 Style Amnesty Plan

Trump's made many -- or as he would say, "many, many, many" -- conflicting statements about what he would do with the rest of the illegals once he has gotten rid of the "bad hombres."

According to Joe Manchin, he said a Gang of 8 style amnesty did not "sound like amnesty" to him.

Here's the thing, dude: It is. It always has been amnesty and it always will be amnesty.

The thing that scares me about Trump is the possibility that the left will figure out how to Trump-Whisper to get most of what they want out of him. What he seeks is respect and approval, or at least the outward deceptions of them.

When the left attacks Trump, it makes me happy, because I know there's only one place he can go to get the respect and approval he craves (us).

But I'm very scared that someone on the left will figure out the way to get him is to have celebrities (or even just Joe Manchin) offer him superficial "respect" and thereby get him to do anything.

Coworker's wife was amnestied a couple years ago. It took some time and a bit of inconvenience, but the end result is that she has a green card, and on the way to being naturalized.

Her husband got amnestied back in 1996 when he was a kid. The government can make a lot of money this way, I don't see why Trump admin isn't pushing for the current amnesty process.

This guy was a military vet, don't know if that factored into getting his wife a green card.

I don't necessarily think that length of time here is the only determinant of whether someone gets fully vested as U.S. citizen. It would have to be on a case by case basis, which is how these applications from illegals are currently handled.

He paces our anger over border security and cracks down like crazy. Then he "leads" us to amnesty (under a different persuasive name). Personally if he builds a wall (which is basically a bribe for conservatives) then he has in some way earned the right to do limited amnesty. IMHO

77 Trump isn't a rock-ribbed conservative, obviously. The leftists probably could push through quite a few things they like, but fortunately they are idiots and keep pushing harder and harder against him. I doubt he'll soon forget how they aligned themselves against him as enemies, though.

In any case, Trump is already on pace to accomplish a lot more than could have been expected of any other Republican candidate, so even if he eventually softens up a bit there will be plenty of good to show for it.
