Yeah, in fact there's a point at which being huge actually can hinder your ability to fight. Its not like some people think where you lose mobility (you can, but only if you're not athletic at all and never move except to lift), but that weight added on slows you and fighting is about skill, not raw power.
There are limits, of course. All that muscle makes you harder to hurt, and being stronger means you have to use less energy for the same results someone smaller attempts. A really well trained 120 pound girl vs a slightly trained 280 pound monster is going to get flattened almost every time.
But training makes a huge difference, and strength not as much as one might think. At least, in my observation.

Yes, but the nature of those rules prevents certain acts which would disadvantage the woman, and stylistic rules that tend to advantage her natural abilities.
In other words: all it tells us is that in a tournament a girl can beat a guy. Not that a girl can win a real fight against a real man. Having seen several attempts of the sort, it tends to go like this:
-Girl really mad starts hitting the guy
-Guy tries to stop her and restrain her as she gets increasingly insane.
-Girl keeps hitting the guy doing basically no damage
-Guy eventually gets fed up and one punches or body slams her. She gives up or is out.
And that's when neither one is trained.

When I was in college I had a job working for a tree surgeon. One of the "arborists" (read not a climber or saw guy) was a judo guy. I forget what level but he was pretty advanced.
He would always clown around asking someone to spar with him. He was after me one day and I was sick of listening to him so I picked him up and dumped him head first into a dumpster.
I get your point but I'm not real surprised that when you remove strength and aggression and replace them with style and finesse that smaller people can perform well against a bigger person.
I'm pretty sure if that chick tried to steal my beer I could take her too.

Mass counts for a lot in a fight. Technique can skew things, so can meanness. But mass means inflicting more damage when you hit and being able to absorb more in return. That's why weight classes are so narrow. 10 pounds is a huge difference between trained fighters.

Not disagreeing with you, but when women really fight, they fight mean and crazy. If you're trying to handle them without hurting them permanently, they're a pain. When I was working the door, I'd usually end up getting their girlfriends to get them outside rather than deal with a flailing, scratching, biting, ball-grabbing b*.

If someone offered to pay you at your current salary to train for a month and do an MMA fight, would you? You'd be paired up against someone in your weight class, also an amateur, and you'll have access to a quality trainer and coach during your training time.
I'd think that somewhere between half and 3/4 of men either would say yes or would have said yes if they were younger.
Add paid recuperation time and I'd do it. Yeah, pushing 60 and several bum joints. But I can summon my inner "don't give a fcuk" when needed.

Trump was talking to business and labor and saying he'll slash regulations yugely and that there isn't going to another 10 year delay to build a factory. They're going up in 18 months, tops.
How that gets around state regs I don't know, but it's a start.
What I suspect will happen is that red states that don't bury companies in bullshit regulations are going to get the lion's share of the new plants and companies.

Agreed - I'd go up against another amateur in my weight class to win my annual salary - I can take that beating if I don't actually win, odds of permanent damage are real low - but Tyson in the heyday? one punch to the head, and boom - I can't enjoy a multi-million payout from the coma ward or a coffin.
