Let The ONT begin............

Quotes of The Day

Quote I

Many of the qualities that come so effortlessly to dogs - loyalty, devotion, selflessness, unflagging optimism, unqualified love - can be elusive to humans. -John Grogan

Quote II

Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A 'you can do it' when things are tough. -Richard M. DeVos

Quote III

Hell hath no fury like a bureaucrat scorned. -Milton Friedman

Quote IV

If we love our country, we should also love our countrymen.- Ronald Reagan

A message to the unhinged temper tantrum throwing "adults" from a man your age.

I’m “The Man” to you racial activists. I’m the idiot who joined the military because I “wasn’t smart enough” to go get a liberal arts degree like you know-it-all 20-year-old college dipshits; and for some reason you hate me for that. I’m that guy with the rifle who signed on the dotted line for $24K a year so that you budding Marxist fucksticks could have the freedom to complain about me and the manner in which I provide it. I have a little message for you.........

*****

On this day, January 22, 1973 Abortion is legalized in the Roe vs. Wade decision.

So if the child is fortunate enough to make it out of the womb does the left care for that child? When it comes to education? NO! The left cares more about their pocket books than they do about poor children.

There's something perverse about an ideology that views the disposing of an unborn child in the third trimester of pregnancy as an indisputable right but the desire of parents to choose a school for their kids as zealotry. Watching President-elect Donald Trump's pick for education secretary, Molly DeVos, answer an array of frivolous questions this week was just another reminder of how irrational liberalism has become.

Democrats often tell us that racism is one of the most pressing problems in America. And yet, few things have hurt African-Americans more over the past 40 years than inner-city public school systems. If President Obama is correct and educational attainment is the key to breaking out of a lower economic stratum, then no institution is driving inequality quite as effectively as public schools

On a brighter tomorrow note, January 23rd is National Pie Day.

Kentucky_Chocolate_walnut_pie_slice.jpg

The ONT wishes that kale, tofu, etc tasted like pie. Don't you? Maybe after this latest study we should just continue to eat pie and skip the damn veggies. Salad: The Silent Killer?

Despite all the schizophrenic diet advice consumers hear on a daily basis, one thing has remained consistent: vegetables are good for you. But no more. Now, salad’s a killer. According to a new “study” (produced by researcher who must have looked around and said, “There’s nothing left to demonize! How will I make a name for myself?”, salad is making you feel anxious, depressed, and unable to fall asleep, among other disturbing outcomes. According to the Daily Mail:

“Internist Dr. Svetlana Kogan explained that she sees scores of her patients coming in with very non-specific symptoms—shakes, jitters, sleeplessness. But they may not realize that it could all be coming from something they believed to be healthy.

Everybody is blessed with special gifts and abilities at birth. Some people work hard, develop those skills, catch a little luck and become famous. One of these famous people would be one Shia LeBeouf. Instead of using his fame and wealth to help the country he has decided to be divisive for at least 4 years.

The actor's latest art project asks passersby to stop by the Museum of the Moving Image and say "He will not divide us" in front of a mounted camera.
On the morning of President Trump's inauguration, Shia LaBeouf kicked off a protest of his own in the form of yet another art performance.

The actor's latest project launched Friday at 9 a.m. ET with a camera installation set up at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. Passersby are encouraged to stop before the camera and participate by repeating the words "He will not divide us."

LeBeouf's stupidity on full display.

Take a look at this election map of 2016, Maybe LaDouche LaBeouf is the divider and not President Trump

election-2016-county-map.png

Mr. LaBeouf It appears the citizens of America are fed up with the Democratic party.

Surroundings. Observations and carelessness. The Day I Wished I Carried A Gun…and my five biggest take aways from this experience.

I’ve been in precarious and dangerous situations before but this one truly shook me up. If the lone gentleman had decided not to tell me because it was “none of his business” I would have innocently walked back to my hotel none the wiser.

Back at the hotel room I breathed a sigh of relief.

And I cursed myself for being so careless.

Tucker Carlson has come a long way. From the bow tie days of being Bob Novak's sit-in on CNN's Cross Fire to hosting his own prime time show on Fox News.

Tucker Carlson's on-air confrontation with anti-Trump protester is beyond wild. Then comes his confession.

Wynton Marsalis. A musician with class.

The ONT Musical Interlude

On this day in 1994 actor Telly Salavas passed away. Did you know that he had a Number 1 hit in the U.K. in 1975? Well, he did and here it is. And it isn't very good. What's worse? You decide.

Glass_of_beer_MONGO.jpg

Here is one of these stories that renews The ONT's faith in young people. Instead of majoring in Queer Gender Studies, Organic Fashion Design; Beer brewing on the moon.

A team of University of California, San Diego students are competing to send an experiment aboard a spacecraft built by Indian startup TeamIndus, which received a million bucks as part of Google’s Lunar XPRIZE competition. The students, like all of us, want to know whether yeast can survive to ferment beer on the Moon.

The proposed experiment starts with wort—malt and water mixed together, prepared on Earth and placed into a special experimentation vessel. The vessel would allow the fermentation process, where the yeast turns sugar to alcohol, and the carbonation process, of getting the bubbles into the beer, to occur simultaneously without releasing any excess carbon dioxide.

The isolation of Antarctica on display.

Concordia Station is a remote Antarctic research center jointly run by France and Italy. It is staffed by dozens of scientists and technicians who work in near isolation, with the next closest station hundreds of miles away.
It is so remote that in order to replenish its supplies, a convoy of containers pulled by a tractor must make a 10 day, 600-plus mile journey across inhospitable terrain dubbed “White Mars.” A recent image from France’s Pleiades space satellite captured the journey, the convoy a tiny black scratch in a massive white expanse

Not only am I a Moron I guess I'm an angry white man as well. To the 'ettes, are you angry white women?

When we’re not beating up our wives and girlfriends or killing Meskin illegals with our concealed-carry Glocks purchased at the Tactical Knife and Gun Wholesale Megamarket in Lumberton, North Carolina, we’re pretty much leading normal lives hanging around the Waffle House so the process server can’t find us and extradite us to southern Alabama to face charges on the 47 months of back child-support payments we never paid because we “just forgot, Your Honor.”

News tips, loose change and remote batteries can be sent here. Or here, petmorons at gmail.

20 Well, Pooky's first conjugal visit-er, weekend pass went fairly well. I picked him up yesterday morning, his family got here yesterday afternoon, and we celebrated his birthday a week late. (Piiiieeeee!) They left last night with Pookette in my care, and other than constantly calling me "Grandma" when she wants something, she seems back to normal. Today we got him again for another 6 hours, and he inhaled the "wife food" I made for him. He missed Pookette, and the feeling is mutual-she gave him a huge hug when she saw him for the first time in two weeks and she's not a hugger. A good weekend, although his family is overwhelming.

I just watched the monologue from a Johnny Carson rerun. 1992, and I was laughing just like it was yesterday. The jokes were about Bush I throwing up on the Japanese Prime Minister, Gennifer Flowers, and etc. Again, just like yesterday to me.

And I just noted how far late night comedians have fallen since Johnny. There's no comparison.

I only wish Johnny were still alive to see Trump as President. I can only imagine. And it would be funny, really funny, unlike the idiot punks of today.

Interesting about Benny Hill.

Despite being a millionaire many times over, he continued with the frugal habits that he picked up from his parents, notably his father, such as buying cheap food at supermarkets, walking for miles rather than paying for a taxi unless someone picked up the tab for a limousine, constantly patching and mending the same clothes even when the balance on his account at the Halifax Building Society reached seven figures.

In her defense, she went to a steakhouse to get something to eat. She was alone, so she sat at the bar. Closing time in Indiana is 3am, but I'm guessing a restaurant bar doesn't stay open that late.

Good point about the law with guns and bars. But, it appears like Indiana is one of the few states that do not prohibit carrying in a bar. However, the owner of the business can prohibit firearms if they choose.

I'm sure it wasn't at all funny, but you made it sound that way. Glad you're o.k.

One time my husband was changing his oil or fixing his car in a supermarket parking lot (he was about 20 at the time) and some guy pulled up in a really fancy car and asked him if he wanted to make $400.00 a week. This was in the 70's-a lot of money. He said "No thanks" and the man drove off. I said, "If you had said yes, you might be a drug kingpin by now and we'd rolling in the dough." It was either drugs or prostitution. Obviously I was not serious, but it was one of those weird stories from his youth.

Oh god, two long stories here.

Me and several friends ( all upper teens or lower 20's) just got out of seeing "Phantasm" at downtown Asheville theater. We were parked a couple of blocks away from the place, so a foot race began to see who would get shotgun. Driver just took his time.

We rounded the corner where the car was to come head on to a couple of cop cars rolling up on us, and the cops jump out with guns drawn.

Turns out there had been a break in just a bit earlier not far away.

Driver came around the corner. From what he told me later, he almost turned around and walked back the way we came.

After some discussion, the cops decided that we were OK and let us go.

And thank god they did, because before we had gone to see the movie, we'd all been out target shooting. Under some blankets in the back of the car were various rifles and shotguns...

170 This is actually a good point. Even if she had had a gun, it is a damn good thing that the guy told her what the guys had been saying. She still should take the cab. Now she might feel more secure, but it should have played out the same.

Although one might point out in a theoretical society (call it 'Texopia') where every man knew that that little lady who was sitting at the bar had a 90% chance to be packing, how much more genteel and mannerly the menfolk at bars would become.

well, dense as she was the attacker would have gotten her gun, attacked her anyway then shot her with her own gun when he was done, leaving the police to ponder that mystery.

I absolutely hate the fact that all women are required to want to murder babies in order to be real women. Like I'd let these murdering whores decide whether I am really a woman or not. Why do only the idiots get held up as "proud" women?

This is one 'ette who won't go quietly into that dark night, I can tell you that.

A real woman knows what makes her strong, and what her true value is. A real woman knows that the "choice" a woman makes happens before conception, not after. A real woman wants her man to take charge, knowing full well that she married a real man, not some limp-wristed douchebag who thinks a woman can hold two jobs to support his sorry ass while raising the kids, cleaning the toilets and telling him what to do every day.

I have my work, and he has his, and together we are a family, which is more important in every way than my supposed "empowerment" to kill babies.

189 @52 We are studying the book of Job in Sunday night service. I remember right after my dad died, I raged at God, demanding to know why He took him, a good man, while scumbags walked around healthy. Suddenly a thought popped into my head, "Your daddy was ready. Those people are not." It was a great comfort and makes Job relatable to me.

That was one of the messages in C. S. Lewis's 'That Hideous Strength'. A lot of good people die as a result of a "natural" disaster, and the note is made that these people were essentially ready to pass on.

not even five minutes later the manager walks over to are table and says "what the fuck is wrong with you? we had no idea what he was so upset over. he went on to say that "the minute you idiots walked in here everyone noticed you did not belong and started making plans for you." he had some bouncers walk us outside, put us in a cab.

we just wen back to the hotel bar.

so not every place in boston is Beacon Hill, apparently.

yeah, you have to be careful in unfamiliar places. when I was fresh out of college I was on a business trip to boston. some of us decided we would hit up a "gentlemans" club. hopped in a cab let him know where we wanted to go and off we went. he dumped us of at some club. we went in and got seats.

not even five minutes later the manager walks over to are table and says "what the fuck is wrong with you? we had no idea what he was so upset over. he went on to say that "the minute you idiots walked in here everyone noticed you did not belong and started making plans for you." he had some bouncers walk us outside, put us in a cab.

we just wen back to the hotel bar.

so not every place in boston is Beacon Hill, apparently.

Hey, a protester at one of Milo's speeches actually shot and critically wounded another man. The idiot thought he was shooting a Trump supporter - he actually shot another protester, a Berniebro.

This may be awful, but I was relieved when I found out it wasn't a conservative who was shot. The leftists would be giving other high fives over that.

Milo went on with the talk because he said stopping would be caving in to leftist violence.

Not an electrician, but there is a big market for that sort of thing. Here is but one link of many:

http://www.electricgeneratorsdirect.com/stories/36-How -to-Pick-the-Perfect-Home-Standby-Generator.html

How is your water well powered now? If it gets power from your home or one of the outbuildings, you should be able to situate your backup generator to power it as well. If it has a separate drop from the utility, with it's own meter, it might need a separate backup generator. You might be able to simply use a small, manually-started generator and a manual transfer switch for that...walk down to the wellhouse, throw the transfer switch, and pull the recoil cord on the genny.

They really really hate those two."

Gee, I wonder why?

I am nowhere in the same universe lookswise as those two, but I don't hate them for being beautiful. I don't hate Palin for being pretty either.

I'm convinced that one reason Wasserman-Schultz looks so frumpy most of the time and Hill and Mooch were seen in such ugly outfits is because they know liberal women will get jealous and spiteful if they look too good. I've seen both Michele and DWS made up to look pretty good (at the conventions) but they didn't maintain it.

307 I know it'll be harder because the house is old.

Nah, power comes in at one location. We did it to our 1800's farmhouse.

Posted by: t-bird at January 22, 2017 11:34 PM (/wWB4)

308 If you want a whole house backup generator, you'll want about 25kW or so (less might do it, depends on the load, which depends on the size of the house).

You want an automatic transfer switch. This thing monitors the line and when powers go out, it starts up the generator, then switches over. It's a big double throw switch, essentially. Cheaper is a manual transfer switch, where you will have to start the generator and manually throw it over it. Proper wiring here is critical -- you don't want any possibility of backfeed to the utility supply. Anyone competent will know what's involved. Avoid jacklegs on this.

Another cheaper way is to have a smaller emergency load thing -- the generator doesn't run the whole house, only a smaller subset of critical loads such a fridge, furnace, freezer, well pump, etc, etc. You put these on a sub-panel, then have a smaller transfer switch feeding that. When the power goes out, the generator powers the smaller loads.

The larger the load, the more money it will cost, and the more fuel you'll burn running it.

It's just a question of how much money you want to spend.

Generators need to exercise, so they'll be ready to go. To this end, they have automatic transfer switches that will automatically fire it up every so many days, according to some programmed schedule. You'll also have to maintain the engine, just like any other. Change the oil, maintain the radiator fluids, etc, etc.

A large 200A or so auto transfer switch will set you back a few thousand bucks.

Again, it boils down to how much money you want to spend. Spend a lot, and you'll have large capacity and automatic operation.

If it were me, I'd probably go manual, to save money. But that means you'd have to do the changeover when the power goes out and all that.

Neither the one for the well, nor the one for the house should be "difficult". The backup generator connects to the power line entering the house from the outside, so there should be a minimum of disruption to the house itself.

If you have natural gas service or LP gas on your place, that would be the logical choice for fuel. Of course, if you have Diesel on hand for your farm equipment, that's also easy. But both diesel and gasoline can deteriorate when subjected to long storage, so that is a concern.

I think it's "I can dress and act like a slut, and you don't have the right to rape - or even criticize me."

I agree that nobody has the right to rape anybody else - but if you walk into an inner city bar at 2 am dressed like a slut, someone in there might have other ideas.

I think Camille Paglia had the right analogy: If you go to a park and leave your purse on a bench and run around and play for a while and then come back and find your purse is gone, if the thief is caught, he or she should be arrested and charged. The thief did not have the right to steal your purse. But people also have the right to say to you, "That was really stupid behavior! What did you think was going to happen if you did that!"

The feminists don't want anybody to say to them "That was stupid behavior."

No, they are monkey see, monkey do. The left has built an edifice on the premise that there is a vast monoculture out there and you are being oppressed by it in both large and small ways. In order to get cred in the liberal culture (who still pitch the idea that they are the cool counter culture) is to protest against the vast monoculture of their fantasy.

Another component of this liberal play is that you do not just have to 'be yourself' you must make others approve of your activities. It is not enough for someone to say "I don't give a shit what you do.' They must actively approve. This seems to drive a lot of the displays that Zombie reports on and the slutwalks Mike H was talking about.

What is funny about this is that the left still believes it is the 1950's. But hell, I would wager that the 50s was not like the 50s. How could you have the 60's and the resultant craziness unless there was something bubbling under the popular culture.

But many of the extreme pro-abortion fanatics are motivated by a purely trangressive impulse. They adore abortion BECAUSE it is evil, not in spite of it. They get a thrill of "empowerment" by elevating what moral tradition has always considered repulsive to the level of a sacrament. They are spreading feces on the Madonna and crowning the Medea.

356 That UCSD student project for space beer brewing seems appropriate. The craft brew thing here shows few signs of slowing down.

Last year (at a craft brewery, it so happens) I talked with an engineer whose design/build firm had decided to switch - entirely - to brewery business (they had done a wide variety of food and biotech/science work for a long time). I asked him if the market studies showed *that* much steam in that particular engine, and he said yes (obviously).

Anyway, just hit #38 and #39 last night. That's just local, not counting places up CaliGirl's way (central coast CA).

There's even one (one of our favorites) that has a very dubious, scary ownership, apparently - they have 2nd Amendment nights, and their brews almost all have gun-related names (Old West themed).

361 348 Most pro-choicers want the option for themselves, in case of emergency. They also want undesirables to stop breeding so much --- although they wouldn't admit that. They see abortion as a rather unfortunate necessity for their personal convenience and the "betterment" of society.

I want the whole house one that kicks on automatically. I looked at the generac website and I think we'd need a commercial one.
I have a 48 inch fridge, huge wine fridge, 3 fridge drawers, 3 other refrigerators, chest freezer, 2 sets of washer and dryers, pool, with electric cover, 3 dishwasher drawers, dishwasher, other dishwasher, 7 tankless water heaters
And our heater is a boiler, it's gas but it needs electricity to work.
We have a lot of stuff when I checked off the list.

Posted by: Aetius451AD at January 22, 2017 11:43 PM (92kX2)

The Beatniks came before the hippies. But since the 19th century there has been an artistic counterculture - the pattern was for young artists to run away to Greenwich Village or the Left Bank of Paris (there was always a cheap section of town where they lived - not any more - the artsy fartsy sections of cities are all expensive as hell) where they slept around and drank a lot and smoked opium or pot. Some of them never did anything but that, but the more talented ones who earned success often matured and moved out after they were no longer young.

What happened in the 60's was that bohemian lifestyle spread to society at large. Suddenly middle class kids were living the lifestyle once restricted to jazz musicians, budding novelists, and artists. And it was a disaster because while a few creative souls thrive in that sort of chaos, it's not conductive for a happy, productive life for most of us.

I know some pretty dirty laundry locally about abortion. One happened back in the 90s. There's a neighbor around here, was big in church. Had a son with a wife who was real big in the local church as well. They had a granddaughter in high school. They were all vocally pro-life.

Until the girl got knocked up. They didn't want to ruin her life, so off she went for an abortion. They tried to keep it quiet, but you know how that goes. Some of the girl's friends spilled the beans and it got back to all of us.

They kept it from the grand parents, and there was a spectacle of hearing them vocally still denouncing abortion while many of us knew. Someone finally couldn't stand to see the poor couple make such fools of themselves and persuaded the son to tell his parents.

They didn't say another word after that. Not one word about abortion.

That taught me a little bit about high principles. They failed the test.

Posted by: publius (not Breitbart publius) at January 22, 2017 11:57 PM (DW+jj)

373 So to wear a proper man-bun, do you have to grow your hair longer on one side of your head?

Yep. But the hipsters are phoney bohemians, because the counter-culture is now the Establishment culture and they are conformists, not rebels. One thing about the old beatniks and the 19th century artists living in attics in Paris - they really were poor. Some of them gave up middle class professions to starve and write symphonies or novels.

Today's hipsters might look ratty, with their man buns and stupid wool caps, but Hipster Central is Brooklyn, which is very expensive, as is San Fran. They're rich trust fund kids playing at being poor and oppressed and "creative" although any art they produce is shit - because they're not original, they have cookie cutter minds.

I used to have a collection of Paris Review interviews with famous writers - everyone from William Styron to William Faulkner - and one thing that struck me was that, whatever their personal politics happened to be, they were very, very disciplined about their work. Everyone had set hours for working, although some were up all night writing and went to bed at dawn and others treated it like an office job - at the desk at 8 am, write until 1, edit in the afternoon, knock off work at 5.

And they forced themselves to write even during writer's block period, even when they thought everything they were writing was shit.

Not one of them was, "oh, I just sit and wait for inspiration to strike me."

422 382: Yep. Again, it's just how much you want. And there'll be labor involved too, to install everything.

Just the equipment is going to eat up $10K easily, maybe $15K if you really go all out. And then the labor on top of that.

Again, manual transfer would give you a given capacity cheaper.

Understand these things don't work like a UPS. There will be a delay before the generator comes on. It has to start, get up to speed, and voltage output and frequency to stabilize.

Once you commit to a generator start, you have to go with it. You don't want to commit for little glitches, little power blinks, so about 10 sec delay is standard. The generator will not commit unless the power is off for 10 secs. Once it commits, there will be more seconds to wait for start and "power good" before transfer is initiated.

Then, you want to run for a while before you kick back over to utility. And there will a brief power outage when that happens.

To get whole house UPS like behavior, well you would spend some money shore 'nuff. Probably as much as the whole house itself cost. :-)
I've seen some of these large UPS systems. They are impressive. And shit loads of money involved.

It is how one deals with those bubbles that is the difference.

"When I work with other photographers, there are no conversations where
I'm required to gasp with sheer delight at certain photos that they
point out. There are no "Take a look at this photo, now this one, now
this one and tell me how much you love it" conversations."

Excellent show. I just wished it had gone further into the Cold War as that story arc was really looking interesting. The actress who played Christopher Foyle's driver had a name I always laughed at: Honeysuckle Weeks.

The Brits can do crime/police procedurals well. There was one on a PBS station here called 'New Tricks'. It had a current inspector, a woman, heading a cold case squad of 3 retired male detectives (retired for at least five years), so it had the younger woman boss-older men subordinates as a plot device. The interaction between the characters could sometimes border on tear-rolling laughter. One of the detectives is played by Dennis Waterman who, in real life, was married at one time to Rula Lenska, who did Alberto VO5 commercials here touting her celebrity. Most were like, Rula Who? Johnny Carson made Rula Lenska a running gag on The Tonight Show for a while.

I struggled mightily at the beginning of my second marriage, since I'd been divorced and on my own with no one to account to for 10 years. Plus, the first hubby was not the man that I could place my trust in. Oh, on some things, sure - but I generally felt that I needed to oversee him. I was miserable with this.

#2 was a different story. He would NOT be managed. Even though I understood that I didn't want to be in charge, it took effort and prayer on my part to get with the program.
This alpha male drew lines in the sand and held me to them. I can't tell you how much I respected that. Learning to submit was the most liberating experience of my life. I'm so grateful that he was the man that he was, and that I had the great honor of being his wife.

That thing will suck diesel down like you wouldn't believe. You don't want that much at all.

You should pick out a couple of rooms that you want to have power in, and then make sure your freezers and refrigerators have power. If you are somewhere it gets real cold, your heating source.

Only the necessities should be powered.

I worked at a radio station that had a 40KW generator at one transmitter site and a 25KW generator at another transmitter site. 4-5 gallons per hour is what they burn.

Most of the engine/generator sets will come with their own little prefabbed outdoor enclosure. Basically, you pour a slab to mount it on, and don't have to bother with building a little house yourself. Ventilation for the radiator is important, and the prefabbed enclosures have that worked out.

History of Yodeling

Have you ever wondered where and how yodeling began?

Many years ago a man was traveling through the mountains of Switzerland.

Nightfall was rapidly approaching and he had nowhere to sleep.
He went up to a farmhouse and asked the farmer if he could spend the night.
The farmer told him that he could sleep in the barn.

As the story goes, the farmer's daughter asked her father, "Who is that man going into the barn?"

"That fellow traveling through," said the farmer.
"Needs a place to stay for the night, so, I told him he could sleep in the barn."

The daughter said, "Perhaps he is hungry."
So she prepared him a plate of food and then took it out to the barn.

About an hour later, the daughter returned. Her clothing disheveled and straw in her hair.
Straight up to bed she went.

The farmer's wife was very observant. She then suggested that perhaps the man was thirsty.
So she fetched a bottle of wine, took it out to the barn, and she too did not return for an hour.
Her clothing was askew, her blouse buttoned incorrectly.
She also headed straight to bed.

The next morning at sunrise the man in the barn got up and continued on his journey,
waving to the farmer as he left.

When the daughter awoke and learned that the visitor was gone, she broke into tears.
"How could he leave without even saying goodbye," she cried. "We made such passionate love last night!"

"What?" shouted the father as he angrily ran out of the house looking for the man,
who by now was halfway up the mountain.

The farmer screamed up at him, "I'm going to get you! You had sex with my daughter!"

The man looked back down from the mountain side, cupped his hand next to his mouth, and yelled out.....

Portable light plants are very common here in the oil patch. Many of them are mounted in ocean shipping containers (sea cans). With the doors shut (ventilation is provided), the sound nearby is not bad at all. Modern Diesel light plants are very quiet compared to the old Deutz air-cooled or Detroit Diesels of a generation ago.

As the owner of a business, he was salaried So, yeah.

But taking that thought one step further, I have a feeling Trump will destroy Barry's legacy in another way, too: His work ethic. His campaigning schedule, even using a private plane, was exhausting to me just to read about it. 3 stops in one day in 3 different states when Crooked Hillary! couldn't do 3 campaign stops in a week. I'll be curious if the Fake News Media compares and contrasts Trump's vs. Barry's golf outings while in office. Probably not as they rediscover 'historic milestones' in the death of soldiers in Afghanistan, as well as rediscovering the homeless problem, the unemployment situation, home foreclosures and all the other economic metrics that would have made Barry look bad.

Trump is 70-years-old and I honestly don't think I could have kept up with him even when I was in my prime back when I was in my 20s and early 30s. The man is simply a force of nature.

Trump played a variety of organized sports as a prep school kid, including, baseball, soccer and wrestling. I'm sure he's put in a few running miles when training. Apparently, as a youngster, he was above average at baseball, playing catcher and being a right-handed power hitter. They say his golf game is better than average, too. Trump will never have nicknames like King 4 Putt or President Hook and Slice. I'll definitely be watching when he throws out the first pitch at whichever stadium. I have a feeling he can bring the heat as opposed to President Mom Jeans throwing worse than a six-year-old girl.

560 557. Remember, when Barry and company went to strike ISIS tanker truck convoys, they leafletted them and gave them plenty of chances to clear out beforehand. We were never serious about fighting ISIS there. The sheer number of targets the Rooahians nailed once they showed up - and the resulting defeat of ISIS in its strongholds and loss of territory - proves it.

I have an ex for slightly different reasons. But one reason is one of those 'crossing the Rubicon' statements that is not easily forgiven. One time, we were talking about imaginary vacations and where we'd like to go. This was around 1990. Out of the blue, she said, 'I don't want to go overseas with you because you look too American.' I exploded. I asked her, 'What the hell is wrong with me looking too American? I AM an American.'

Some people change as they get older, and that change can be nasty.

613 I think it's a mixture of things. Yes, it's about birth control and abortion-which they feel are threatened but apparently some women feel it was energizing for women to get together. I get the sense that's what the 33 year old seminary student I work with does and I don't want to question her about it, because while she probably supports abortion that wasn't the reason she went. After all, she just found her self unexpectedly pregnant with a baby and she decided to her the baby. Maybe I should ask her about it.

it comes down to organization. logistics if you want. leftists can and do summon hordes with legal representation on a regular basis to engage in violent actions which they then get away with. the right can only muster up the occasional loner who is immediately disavowed.
