EMT 01/21/17 "" edition.

Look, I'm happy the inauguration took place, and all the right people are mad and/or sad, but I'm a little disappointed that Trump hasn't sent me my brownshirt and jack-boots yet. I suppose the delivery was intercepted by those with a more traditional need, judging from yesterday's "mostly peaceful" "protests" by "activists" and "good citizens" "concerned" for "their" safety.

Fascism, to borrow a phrase, is always descending on the right, but landing in the progressive left.

The root issue, if I may be so bold as to offer my opinion, is that the left, generally bereft of the ability to enjoy life as it is, finds its greatest sense of spiritual fulfillment in the pursuit of life as they deem it should be; of their idealized conception of a higher humanity.

Pursuit of a world of "hyperhumans", as it were.

1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, January 21, 2017, the first day of a new Choom-Free era. On this day in 1950 Alger Hiss was convicted of perjury. He could not be prosecuted for his real crime which was espionage for the Russians. To this day the liberals have all denied that he did anything and it was part of the fake commie "McCarthyism". Other evidence which the FBI later declassified and revealed said he was guilty as hell.

4 Trump is wasting no time in getting rid of regulatory crap. His first executive order was issued yesterday telling federal agencies the ease the burden of Obamacare. He also ordered all new "regulations" in the pipeline to be frozen.

5 Fox quotes the NYT on Trump being forced to give up his Android "with all his email addresses and phone numbers" in favor of a government encrypted Blackberry. I guess Fox thinks it will increase their credibility by quoting the NYT. The fact is that he is not giving up his email and phone numbers, they are easily transferred to the new device. And a Blackberry IS just another Android type device. In fact it is the "original". It's use among the public though has severely declined because it is overrated and overpriced. But that is normal with government stuff.

7 Washington police arrested over 200 people yesterday who poured into Washington to "protest" the Trump election. They were mostly peaceful protestors marching down the street rioting, throwing things at cops, breaking windows, and being the normal hooligans you see at these kinds of things. Most of the damage was caused by the group who called themselves the Disrupt J20 which is said to be a Soros funded Marxist anarchist offshoot group who want to destroy capitalism.

What we have been seeing lately though isn't just the normal lefty idiot. These Soros funded communist anarchist groups have pretty much taken over all the large urban protests (that aren't BLM). Their aim is not the general leftist trope. They want to tear down all capitalism and replace it with a communist style dictatorship controlled by them of course.

45 What I would have like to have seen is the DC cops send in an Army unit with 3 foot hickory batons to administer "haircuts" to all those J20 rioters.

These people are just the same people who go from city to city doing this shit. There is always a few "inside" ring leaders who instigate the riots then drift out of the mob to move on to the next target. The city arrests the "rioters" and then turns them loose the next day with a "go home to daddy and don't do this again".

On this show, 3 locals describe a restaurant they like and why. Then they talk about it. Not great TV, but an interesting way to find a good restaurant. The JEF was talking about someplace that he and Mooch went to and was trying to describe the meal. He couldn't remember the names of the stuff they ate, and when he tried to describe it, it was all ums, ers, and I can't remembers but it was good.

So his career as a restaurant critic is on thin ice.

Yes Trump could, might, is planning to, as early as next week, sources who are close to the president say, will begin implementing his policy goals as laid out in numerous campaign policy speeches, as he promised to do.

And will direct Federal agencies to, as much as possible, reduce the burdensome regulations, where they can, to make government less intrusive into ordinary daily life of the voters, if possible.

Obama was better than his speech writer, smarter than his cabinet members, and just basically an all around genius.

99 I've been wanting to say this here for a long time. I admit that I did not at all get the point of Trump's candidacy. While I was not #Nevertrump, I did NOT like him, going back several decades, and I was VERY unhappy he was the nominee.

Still, not being a complete idiot, I did vote for him, though that vote was not made happily.

All I can say is that I am VERY happy now that I made that vote. Moreover, I was happy with it within 12 hours of having made it.

My reservations re Trump had to do with my fear that he would go the Ahnold route, i.e., that he would talk tough until he met any resistance, at which time he would go full RINO.

Yeah, I don't fear that any more. He has utterly floored me with the propriety of his moves since his election, and I now declare myself a deplorably tardy Trumpista.

Please forgive my slowness on the uptake.

In a former life, I would ask our up and coming leaders what the mission of the Navy was, as defined in Title X of the U.S. code.

Usually I would get some kind of feel good answer that had nothing to do with the actual mission. And I would ask them how they intended to support, lead, and in some cases develop and put forth plans and policies if they had no actual understanding of what it is that the Navy does for a living.

The message released yesterday from the SecDef to the DoD tells me that Mattis knows what that mission is.

Remember all the talk in 2009 about Obama, as a black man, would of course be an assassination target by raaaaacist voters who couldn't stand the thought of a black man in the WH? Yet he and his wife were able to walk down the street in the inaugural parade without any problems.

Eight years later, and not one attempt was ever made on Obama's life. Meanwhile, Trump needs all kinds of extra security at his inauguration, because of all the leftist nutjobs rioting and burning cars in the streets of D.C. And there probably will be an assassination attempt made on Trump's life within the next year.

177 "The plan is to destroy every starbucks along the march route. After the march ends they meetup at a starbucks 20 miles away, drink 10 dollar cups of latte and talk about how cool it was to destroy a starbucks."

Ah, but you're leaving out a critical, crucial part of the plan- at the starbucks debrief, the members of the selfie platoon will share all their product. so that the brave and noble smashing of the starbucks can be virtue douched on all the facebook sites!

This revolution won't be televised- it'll be selfied, yo.

178 The root issue, if I may be so bold as to offer my opinion, is that the
left, generally bereft of the ability to enjoy life as it is,
finds its greatest sense of spiritual fulfillment in the pursuit of
life as they deem it should be; of their idealized conception of a
higher humanity.

My take: Half of humanity (the left) wants to control the other half (the right) which mostly wants to be left the fuck alone.

179 I'm trying to figure out the best timing for the executive order defunding PP. Right before the three hours of speeches start at the Pissy Pants Parade (Women's March), or right after? Which sends a better message?

I'm thinking right after, as if to say, "You can have your Pissy Pants Parade and it still won't make a difference."

180 If this doesn't blow you away, I think you need a defibrillator for your imagination:

Let me remind you that this guy is a lefty. Way left. Bernie supporter. And I don't agree with his politics. His observations however... you'll see.

The left and the right in this country hate each other because we are told to hate each other. If this guy is any kind of an example, we agree on many, many things. We disagree massively on many things. Just exactly the same as friends and family that we have - we agree on some things, not others.

The bullshit about us having NOTHING that we agree on is... well... bullshit. It's a real head scratcher about how we aren't able to make common cause about anything when we don't even talk to each other.

Here's another good recent video by this guy:

https://tinyurl.com/gt3msab

We - everyone - should start thinking for ourselves about things like politics, instead of letting others do our thinking for us. In fact, we should possibly think about thinking about things through other than a political perspective. How about a rational perspective for a change?

181 "And there probably will be an assassination attempt made on Trump's life within the next year. "

Clinton family friend arrested down in Florida(?) the other day because he threatened to kill Trump at the inauguration. Zero Hedge has a post about it.

Because love trumps hate, you see.

184 66: Her name was Suzanna Gratia Hupp and we Texas Concealed Carry Holders owe her and G.W. Bush the fact that we can have a CCW Permit. I saw her say that to Schumer and I couldn't have been prouder of her. She couldn't have picked a more repulsive or deserving orc to say it to, either.

One more thing, and I am obligated to say it as both an American and one of Ace's Morons: "At last, on January 20, 2017, our long national nightmare is finally over."

May God damn to Hell both that criminal he replaced and the one he defeated to win the Presidency. America very narrowly dodged a fatal bullet on November 8. I hope all of you are appropriately grateful in your prayers.

See the link I had above. He is reinstating an old rule that RR started that prohibited foreign organizations from giving money to NGOs here in the US. This one will stop PP-International from sending money to PP here.

As they imagine it should be yes, higher no. They seek a life where they are in charge, stamping a boot in your face forever.

194 The left loves outing Trump supporters and publically shaming them, so let's turn the tables.
I say post the anarchist's names and mug shots in the papers.
Fuck these guys. They're just there to break things and hurt people. Show the world who they are and let them return to their jobs and classrooms.
If they are employed or in school.

Posted by: Hamilton at January 21, 2017 12:21 PM (sCjDS)

195 The Left's greatest spiritual fulfillment in life is that if they cannot enjoy life, then neither can you. "Equality" and all that, I guess.

Like that old motto "we're not happy till you're not happy."
