Meet the Generals Leading the Intelligence Community's War on a Duly Elected President

Mollie Hemingway recaps the intelligence community's many illegal leaks against Trump, and rounds up the usual suspects who should be asked closely about their participation in the leaks.

Let me suggest this: The very fact that the media won't ask these men closely about the leaks suggests to me the media knows that one or more of them are leaking -- one doesn't rake one's own source over the coals on television, after all.

The media has asked Russian officials if they "hacked the election," and then cast snarky doubt on their denials.

Why aren't we getting any of that with the US intelligence community leakers?

A plausible answer, it seems to me, is that the media is protecting the sources it knows damn well are the leakers.

8 Willowed from last thread:

234 Okay, not every input. But you start with a 95%+ complete idea of the internal stresses and then, I assume, put in some assumptions about likely external stresses and then design it to be 25% stronger than needed.

I guess my point is, a building model is essentially complete minus some randomness due to weather, earthquakes, settling, etc. Same with car engines and other closed mechanical system models.
Posted by: Moron Pundit at January 17, 2017 11:40 AM (xeeHA)

You're close enough to what happens when a building is designed.

And I agree with what you're saying. And where I think the climate modelers are failing is: does our model match with what's happening? If your model doesn't predict what's happening, then it's not modeling things correctly.

Remember kids: IF THE MODEL RESULTS DON'T MATCH WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS, THEN YOUR MODEL IS NOT CORRECT.

29 Within all of Catherine Herridges's excellent coverage of Hillary's email scandal was this: they type of classified docs that Hillary was passing around went beyond stuff that she had access to as SoS.

Hillary was getting her hands on stuff she was not read in on. In at least one case it was within hours of it first being presented. There was also highly classified docs that Blumenthal sent Hillary - indicating *he* has well-placed people in intelligence.

So...safe to assume that there are people currently in our intelligence agencies that were happy to spy on their own agencies to assist Hillary, and be happy to continue to do this in order to undermine Trump.

102 Years ago I called a mid-level at FEMA to float the idea of an article on its use of GIS technology. I usually go though the PR gatekeeper first but I was just exploring the idea and had came across a paper with direct contact information.

I was treated to 30 minutes of this person begging me to do an expose on how the dud political appointees come in every 4-8 years and waste time and resources and generally screw with their ability to do their job.

His bitch was that they always want a signature project for their resume that ends up mainly being make work crap for the actual worker bees. Now, of course, these political hacks are trying to use their power as a weapon. One though on why their efforts seem so weak at times is that without the worker bees to do the work you just have political hacks whose best attributes are ass kissing and officiating.

I wonder why Democrats seem utterly incapable of admitting they ran a truly dreadful campaign. I mean how can they deal with it if they acknowledge it? It's kind of like recovery from alcoholism starts with the admission of alcoholism.

1. The location of the museum is a bit sketchy.

3. In the bookstore I found books on the Nazi death camps side by side with books on the internment of the Japanese in the US.

142 Among military supporters outside the military there's this misconception that everyone in the military is a hero. It's far from the truth. There's a boatload of bureaucratic bloat, especially in staff positions, cozy offices far from grunt life, which is where a lot of senior intel guys end up. These people are profiteers, same as anyone else, and know where their bread's buttered. Defining everyone as disabled, maintaining the existing defined benefit plan retirement, bitching about pay raises when they have ridiculous benefits, so on and so forth... much as they might allege to like guns and hate commies, their outcomes are based on government largesse. They will resist anyone who tinkers with their expectations, even if they know deep down their expectations were designed around the irresponsible policies of an unsustainable 50-year bubble.

In the name of a balanced budget, and debt reduction, every federal agency should have their budget cut ten percent. Real cuts where this year's spending is less than last year's spending by ten percent.

No one tell Al Gore. The sequel to An Inconvenient Truth will be playing at Sundance this year, I bet it is chock full of those models.

I just realized something. Al Gore will most likely be in Utah for Sundance. Wherever Al Gore goes, that place gets record snow or rain. Utah is getting record snow levels the likes we have not seen in 50 years or so. Snow pack at 200% or above. Park City is asking residents to park IN the city parking terraces, for free, so they can get cars off the road to attempt to plow.

Conclusion, he is causing our unprecedented snow!! The science is settled. What research group do I fill out a grant at to study this and get all the sweet money?

While it's a cynical ploy, it looks like that mentality has sunk into the heads of the people pushing it. They are captives of their own ideology.

And there will be a pool of assholes willing to wield that power. I wish Lerner and Koskinen could content themselves by defecating in the halls, like the EPA.

Bloodless for now. I doubt it stays that way.

I hope ... in whatever comes next ... that we figure out how to deny so much damn influence to two political parties.

Think about that. Government ... which influences just about every aspect of our lives ... is largely controlled by two entities who compete for control but collude to prevent the entry of outsiders. The Mob would be envious.

286 Obvious problem with the Gloria Allred sexual nonsense lawsuit, right from the start: What they are alleging is a criminal offense in most jurisdictions, right? Inappropriate touching is at least some level of sexual assault, by definition.

So why not file charges? There's certainly no lack of sympathetic DA's in California and NY. Obvious answer - there is no actual evidence and no witnesses, it's just a she said, he said story, that can never be proved either way. The accuser's only hope is that the accused will be ashamed and try to pay to make it go away, but I don't think Trump is gonna play Allred's game on this one.
