No, John Lewis Isn't Making an Unprecedented Stand by Boycotting Trump's Inauguration.
He Boycotted Bush's Too

And he also claimed Bush was illegitimate.

This racist is boycotting all presidents with skin colors not his own.

Republican campaign events to those featuring George Wallace, the

As I stated a few days back in the sidebar and this morning, whatever good John Lewis did by letting fellow Democrats crack his skull in SEL-muh has been more than offset by a near half-century career in the House keeping his fellow negroes in virtual chains and in effect committing a form of genocide against them via the Leftist policies of the Democrats that destroy lives.

He is scum.

44 ok.

I'll repost it.

----

John Lewis is a shithead.

He is a leech on the taxpayer's dime. His district is a crime-ridden shit-hole. He is a paid performing clown who would suck his own dick in public if it meant that he could keep his Congressional paycheck. He and his ilk are the godfathers of every Commie Obama clone that have come down the pike since the days that he and Jackson and Sharpton ran out of causes and money and decided to rouse the rabble and "organize the community" for a living.

And what did they do then? They allied themselves with the very same political party that fought for Jim Crow just to keep his wallet fat and his fat head in the papers.

He is a fugly, useless POS who did something good once and stood next to a far better man ( who was himself a serial adulterer) and absorbed the collateral praise.

Currently, EEO regulations force white kids to get in the back of the bus for college selection process. Unfair race-based hiring and college admissions are rampant.

Does Pruneface start screaming about THEIR civil rights? No. He sits on his cushy ass with Maxine Waters and the rest of the CBC racists and forces the world to pretend that he is wonderful or face allegations of Fake Racism(tm).

Whatever he and Martin Luther King did is officially not worth spit. John Lewis is a racist asshole who will not be missed or mourned.

Trump was dead right.
Move over asshole. History's coming. And you're in the way.

Lewis, when the Dems ran the House from 2006 to 2009, was the Majority Whip, IIRC. When they lost their majority starting in 2010, he was pushed out of that post by Steny Hoyer, who surrendered the Leader post (albeit Minority) to Granny McRictus.

Of course a great hue and cry was raised that this "disenfranchised" Lewis and blacks, so the Dems created some sinecure "leadership" position that let him maintain the fiction that he had the chops to lead. Affirmative action in action -- the ratchets never let one fail downward, even if you are incapable of functioning in the rarified air at leadership lecels.

60 Earlier today I was searching to remind myself of the radio spot Lewis co-voiced back in 2008 for an ally who was running for the Fulton County Commission. Found it, via the NYT:

"On Nov. 7 we face the most dangerous situation we ever have. If you think fighting off dogs and water hoses in the '60s was bad, imagine if we sit idly by and let the right-wing Republicans take control of the Fulton County Commission."

Concluding the ad by urging listeners to vote for his friend, he added, "Your very life may depend on it."

That's right: Your very life. On which party holds the majority of the county board.

I admire the hell out of his stand during the Civil Rights era. He was genuinely brave where and when it counted. But this is...cheap, and tawdry, and disgusting.

258 Brave people do brave and courageous things. It's good and appropriate to honor their courage. For 50 years, Lewis has been honored for the stand he took in the 60's. I have no quarrel with that.

What I do quarrel with is the fact that we turn the brave person into an idol. An idol who lives off his legendary moment at the expense of the taxpayer. The courage of the 60's becomes the racial brow-beating of 2017. It's not that Lewis did no good thing. It's that he stopped doing good things. And we are not supposed to notice that. We aren't supposed to say it out loud.

John Lewis' net worth is, reportedly, under $100k.

He's been in Congress for 30 years, now making close to $175,000 a year.

But he lived through a time when he couldn't drink out of the same damn drinking fountain as a white person, when young black girls got spit on while they were trying to go to school, and plenty of mother fuckers thought bombing churches was just fine as long as they were black churches.

The problem is he uses that record of 50 years ago as a shield to protect himself from being criticized and then wielded against any all critics in return.

Sorry, dear. Just like McStains, what he did in the past may be noble and brave. But we are in the here and now and what he is doing and has been doing since his time in the 60s has been absolutely destructive to the nation.

You're reasoning is nice, but you are allowing what he did to temper justified indignation and criticism against the man. That is his stock and trade. Like Obama he uses his pigmentation to attack anyone and anything as racist that dare disagree with him, and thus by doing so, silence criticism.

Sorry, but honky don't play that no more.

Here's the thing, my dear. What the hell difference does it make today, in the here and now? Nothing, not one whit.

By dwelling on it and making it part of the argument - when it isn't - it diminishes/deflects any legitimate criticism of the man. That's the problem.

As I said earlier, whatever good John Lewis did is FAR outweighed by 50 years of destroying the lives of millions of fellow blacks and the rest of us.

Screw John Lewis. Period.

Something about Trump has a rally in a Left city and of course the usual retards CAN'T LET THIS STAND and show up to break a buncha shit (helpfully assisted by some Righties who join in just to get the ball really rolling) and presto chango Da Justice Department under Sessions hits the Hard Left foundations and support streams with RICO indictments.

Oh and for good measure Trump refuses to offer federal money to fix the damage thus leading to other cities to crack down on any potential left wing rioting.

513 If someone does a heroic thing early in life, that deed isn't undone by what he does later in life, but it can be overshadowed if he goes on to behave dishonorably. In fact, it is a great betrayal just because that early heroic act gives a person moral authority, particularly if that person becomes famous as a result.

Benedict Arnold fought very bravely for the American revolutionaries and then became a traitor. Everyone remembers his later dishonorable actions which were far worse, precisely because of his early valor and the trust placed in him by Washington, than if Private Joe Smith had decided to desert to the British side.

757 Two Jewish members of Congress announced on Monday that they will not attend President-elect Donald Trumps inauguration ceremony this coming Friday, Haaretz reports.

The first announcement came from Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), who said that Trumps conduct is a threat to the institutions and values of our democracy.

He also cited Trumps continued failure to address his conflicts of interest, to adequately divest or even to fully disclose his financial dealings.

The second congressman was Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN), who announced that he would not attend the inauguration due to un-presidential remarks by Trump. He did not elaborate.

From our award-winning wines to memorable events to our world-class accommodations, there are innumerous ways to experience the magic of Trump Winery. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia, Trump Winery's stunning 1,300-acre estate lies just a few miles from James Monroe's Highland and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, the birthplace of American viticulture.

If Melville had been black...

Posted by: Insomniac at January 16, 2017 09:50 PM (0mRoj)

784 This stuff about using chemical warfare to obtain political ends is nothing new. I was a photojournalist on assignment during the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. I was freelancing for McGraw-Hill and an editor and I had an early morning appointment to photograph Hubert Humphrey and his campaign manager during a breakfast meeting in Humphrey's suite in the Hilton Hotel on the day the convention opened. As we were leaving, the hotel was beginning to fill with an odious smell from stink bombs that had been thrown into the elevator shafts.

That night, as I returned on the press bus, the riots were well under way in the park across from the hotel. The rest is history. Nothing has changed except that the "yooths" who caused so much trouble back then are now much older and probably more dangerous, in keeping with the axiom that "old age and treachery beats youth and enthusiasm". In Act One they were youth, now they are the treacherous ones. Fortunately, we are also old and probably even more dangerous than they can ever imagine, once they attract our attention.

Sadly, our 'friends' on the left have yet to comprehend that race, religion, sex, or political orientation does not preclude one from being a raging asshole. That's why 'group politics' is a major fail.

Because everybody's an asshole occasionally. Most of us try fairly hard not to be one most of the time.

But there are some who relish the role of full-time asshole. As far as I can tell, this is irrespective of any other possible categorization you could make regarding their "tribe." But the SJW's have attempted to make it an art form.
