Apparently a friend of the alleged murderer contacted the paper to protest that the alleged killer (who was also charged with injuring another person in an attack) did not employ his actual biologically-correct pronoun "he," but preferred the nonsensical plural pronoun "they."
The local paper decided that "misgendering" an accused murderer was just a crime too far and rewrote the story using the pronoun "they" for this dude. Murder shmurder, but commit an Assault by Pronoun and all of society will rise up to put that evil down. By the way:Gomez has worked at the Alliance for Climate Education, a climate alarmist activist group. In 2014, he spoke at a climate event with Governor Jerry Brown, billionaire climate change activist Tom Steyer, and University of California system President Janet Napolitano, former governor of Arizona and Homeland Security secretary under President Obama.

IIRC, as little as 100 ma through the heart can be fatal. Paradoxically, larger currents can be less lethal because they stop the heart, so a swift blow to the chest can restart it if it's basically healthy.
OTOH (again IIRC) smaller amperages tend to jolt the heart into fibrillation.
This might be crap, but is sort of my recollection.

My sister had friends who named their daughter Isis - about a year before ISIS hit the big time. They finally changed the name after a couple of years.
Personally, I thought it was a retarded name to begin with. Egyptian gods and kids' cartoon characters aren't really the way to go with naming. But .... it wasn't my kid.

That said, you'll see wild variation. Two men around here that I knew somewhat have been killed by high voltage distribution lines, 7200V to ground.
It would be a long story to describe each one, but on didn't have a mark on him, and it took an investigation to confirm electrocution was the cause of death. The second one, well, the coroner was putting the remains in 5 gallon buckets. He fried hard, causing the water in his body to boil and tissue burns and all that. I think he sort of exploded and scattered tissue all over the place.

Contrary to popular belief, the "let-go" threshold is much higher for DC than low frequency AC. How this is all measured has a lot to do with it, and it varies, but DC let-go values are about 4x AC.
The ventricular fibrillation threshold is also a good bit higher for DC.
There is also much complication in how a current disrupts the muscles. Changes in current have some additional effect. And there is more than one effect and there are differences between voluntary and involuntary muscles.
For example, tasers use a current waveform optimized to immobilize someone but be the least dangerous to the heart muscle.

I believe that some states allow the "dead man walking" his choice - chair, needle, etc - or used to, but that may be out of fashion now.

Having been there a couple of years after the Viets kicked out the KR, I would say that you do NOT EVER want to see socialism in its "pure" form in action, especially in your own country.
Unfortunately, the US may well go through such a time in the foreseeable future. It will not be pretty.
