The mealy-mouthed evasions of what this means spewing from Samantha Power's mouth mean nothing. Obama allows United Nations to condemn Israeli settlements, and with that he has emboldened renewed attacks on Israelis, Jews throughout the world, and given tacit support to Iran's explicit policy aiming for the destruction of the state of Israel. By lending support to the notion that Israelis are living in the land of Israel contrary to International law, he emboldens the Palestinians to increase the frequency and intensity of their attacks on Israelis. Obama is now directly responsible for any deaths that occur because of his cowardly, anti-Semitic, anti-Western decision.House Speaker Paul Ryan called Obama's decision "absolutely shameful" in a statement released after the vote. "Today's vote is a blow to peace that sets a dangerous precedent for further diplomatic efforts to isolate and demonize Israel," Ryan said. "Our unified Republican government will work to reverse the damage done by this administration, and rebuild our alliance with Israel." Israeli officials accused Obama of overseeing an "abandonment of Israel" in his final days. "The U.S administration secretly cooked up with the Palestinians an extreme anti-Israeli resolution behind Israel's back which would be a tail wind for terror and boycotts and effectively make the Western Wall occupied Palestinian territory," one official told the Associated Press.For those of you who are interested in an excellent explanation of exactly what is going on, here is Abu Yehuda's recent article. UN resolutions are famously impotent, unless they are backed by follow-up resolutions explicitly authorizing the use of force. That won't happen.
But what will happen is the terrorists will be emboldened at the expense of Western and Israeli lives.
I am cautiously optimistic that one of Trump's first actions will be to repair this damage, but it will take some time.

The author is very even-handed, but IMO it's easier to be so about the Crusades not just because of the chronological distance, but because the Muslims of that day were actually noble warriors (at least by the standards of the time), not suicide-bombing restaurants and hotels.

I'm sorry to hear that. But why would having a hard time finding a job in a time when jobs are hard to get mean the last 20 years of your career were wasted?
Lots of good people are out of work right now through no fault of their own. Like record amounts of people.
Don't get discouraged and don't be down on yourself. As someone who has hired a lot of people during my career I can tell you one of the most important parts of the interview is attitude. If you did something for 20 years you were obviously good at it so try to stay positive. You just need to find the right opportunity and you will.

Yeah, she was throwing up all the food she ate yesterday. And then she didn't want to eat this morning. So she got a shot and a humpback full of fluids and some medication and special food. She's been eating it and keeping it down though so that's good.

This will sound really stupid, but try it. Set your self in front a mirror, smile and tell yourself affirming things about yourself specific to what you have done in your work also in your life as a parent. Also try deep breathing-in through your nose and slowly out through your mouth every time you say something. You might also try it for about ten minutes in the morning and evening. This helps sink the thoughts into your brain. And write them down in the journal and look at them everyday

So you adopted the spawn of my Dane? Mine had the exact same problem. She has a sensitive stomach and rejected the very expensive, high quality Canadian dog food I bought for her. She got dehydrated bc she stopped eating or drinking and kept throwing up and had terrible diarrhea. The vet gave her one of those backpacks of water too and the same treatment as yours is getting and I had to make her homemade dinners of chicken and rice while she recovered. That must have cost me about $200.

So it's a weakness, work on it. Seriously.
If you were bad at other parts of your job you would work on them, so work on improving your attitude. I know that sounds trite but I'm telling you a positive attitude goes a long way in an interview and a negative attitude is a killer. People are looking at how you will fit in the organization as much as they are looking at your resume.

People sometimes try to guilt-trip you for not being positive (or not being an extrovert, or having food allergies, or a pegleg, or whatever).
It would be nice if that *didn't* happen, but it would be nice if Bull Sharks couldn't adapt to fresh water (thanks for nothing, mother nature).
I cannot even describe to you the process of how I largely de-stressed. I don't know whether I simply took so many hits I got numb, or whether it's the deliberate tactic of filling my time with more fun stuff.
The dangerous part is when you have to come back out and work hard. Hell, almost killed me last time.
I hope these guys come back with an offer, in the meantime.

It really makes me wonder about where Americans Jews are going to go politically. It seems almost certain that the Dems will continue to tilt more and more towards Islam. Yet, most Jews in this country are socially on the left and are very hostile to the GOP. How will they resolve their conundrum?
