More noos. Today is Tuesday, December 20, 2016. On this day one year ago the big news was the Democrat Debate. Scankles had really turned in a poor performance and the general round of comments at our site here was that she had been a poor campaign performer. Indeed, at that time I was saying that she would never get the nomination. But I did not count on the DNC pushing her through despite the Democrats not wanting her. There should be no question in anybody's mind why she lost to Trump. She was not going to get the black turnout (I did predict that) and her own base was not exactly in love with her. Add that she was a really shitty campaigner on top of that and you have the big lose.

Choom wasn't just playing golf yesterday. While we had Scankles getting her nose rubbed in crap and Russia having an ambassador murdered in Turkey the Choom was busy pardoning and commuting sentences of hardened criminals. He has pardoned and commuted more criminals than the last 11 Presidents combined and has showed to intention of slowing down. But what really galls me is that these people are all somehow "victims" of being excessively sentenced under old drug laws. No one in the press had gone to the trouble to look up what these people were originally charged with and how it was plea-bargained down.

Perhaps most idiotic response to the election I have seen. A liberal acquaintance, in protest of Trumps victory, copied and posted some supposedly memorable 10 page screed by TaNisi Coates or whatever his name is. It was done in longhand in a very elaborate style with a fountain pen and this was somehow his tribute to the suffering of minorities at the hands of privileged white males (like hi , a UW college professor.)
What a brain-dead monumental waste of time and effort. But it was no doubt a hit with his fellow libs and moved him up a notch or two in their hierarchy. Also could be the first time anybody ever read that whole screed by Coates. Posted by: Ripley at December 20, 2016 07:16 AM (1BQGO) 72

A few years back I read an erotic SF story about a sexbot and a fellow who had arranged to be a beta tester for it. The problem was that the bot took his orgasmic groans literally and when he moaned that a certain sex act was "the best ever!" it concluded that that act was the only thing he wanted and that he wanted the bot to perform continually with barely a break for food and bathroom duties. By the end of the story, the sexbot had sealed off the house and cut off all outside communications ("I'm all you need now!") and the man was desperately messaging the company on his last working laptop to please, please come over and take the sexbot back to the factory! There were more faithless Democrat electors than Republican. I think it is time to speak of the civil war that is consuming the Republicans. When a major political party refuses to abide by the wishes of its betters and abandon its elected candidate it is a sign that it is not long to remain in its current form. On this I think we all can agree, the GOP is doomed to become a regional party without broad national appeal. - The MSM

In my nic is a link to short article/interview with an American moderate muslim. She's a Dem, and has been given an award by TFG but her words are still worth a read.
She wants the Muslim Brotherhood outlawed here, doesn't accept sharia law, and thinks that the Saudi pushed Wahhabi version of islam is a problem. So far so good. On the downside, she claims that the extremists take the teachings of the Koran 'out of context'. She doesn't mention that majorities of muslims in almost any nation you care to name believe in sharia law and want it imposed. Finally, she acknowledges that islam needs a reform movement, but makes no mention of how to get it started. Anyway, food for thought. Posted by: GnuBreed at December 20, 2016 08:10 AM (oZEJt) 140

Apropos of which, I had to go to the local Barnes and Noble yesterday. I will be so fucking glad when this whole "Hamilton" craze is over. During one trip, I saw ever-more-elaborate tomes about the silly show, at least three bios of Hamilton, another couple about Hamilton and Washington, one about Hamilton and Burr and, finally (as you knew was coming) a love story novel about Hamilton. All swallowed by a bunch of idiots who couldn't spell "Federalist" if you spotted them the "F," the "D," the "R," the "A," the "L," the "I," the "S" and the "T" and let them pick a vowel. ========================= I think you're referring to the staged "coup" and not the purge. Erdogan was behind the purge, obviously, and probably also organized the coup (as a pretext for his purge). Gulen is a political opponent of Erdogan, who is an Islamist enemy of America and the west, and while Gulen may also be a bad man he isn't regarded as such by our government. Lena wishes she'd had an abortion so that she could lecture pro-life people with the so-called moral authority of having made that choice herself. She's already faked being raped in college so that she can tweet and lecture about rape.
Never mind that she's identified an innocent guy as the rapist and he's now being harassed, and never mind that she's expressing the desire to kill a living being - getting that moral authority-thru-victimization is just so powerful one can't fret about who's hurt in the process, ya know? Finally, she acknowledges that islam needs a reform movement, but makes no mention of how to get it started.
========= 1) islam had it's reformation--that's what we see today. There is no liberalizing, modernizing, humane version of islam: This is islam as it was and always has been--how their founder wanted it. 2) this idea of a reformation assumes the wrong things about what Christianity is and was. 3) this idea that islam can have some sort of moderating change, a reformation, never examines WHAT needs changed about islam. Because, if you changed islam in the ways to make it compatible with modern life--there would be nothing left. It would be like telling the Catholics they have to give up communion. Re Mooch's dress: first, it's too loud and bright. One doesn't wear something like that at any somber or sacred event.
Second, it's gaudy, and looks like the common joke that Mooch gets her dress material from sofa, chair, and drape material. And it shows the willing suspension of disbelief necessary for the media in general and fashion media in particular to pretend that Mooch was some sort of fashion icon. Abortion isn't a front burner issue for me. I have had to help several women (not my partners) get one and have seen the pain it caused them. I would not want to have to decide whether or not to get one.
It it is so far down the list of reasons that I would vote for or against someone that it barely registers. That being said, the late term stuff (and H and O's strong suppor of it) boggles my mind and makes me think they're evil. More Re Mooch's "fashion choices". Try this thought experiments. Take just any of the outfits she's worn that stand out like this. Imagine Sarah Palin, or any white Republican woman from flyover country, especially the South wearing something like that.
Imagine what the fashionista high-priestettes and high-queen priests would be saying. Ever heard Joan Rivers' commentary on the women at the red carpet? That would be tame in comparison. I would like to do that experiment for real. Get Mooch's dresses like the above, and put them on some white women and claim they are flyover Republicans when you have some of those haute couture loons at some function. Me too. I hope Melania wears a big fur coat. It'll drive the PETA people nuts. Posted by: grammie winger - Glad Tidings of Great Joy at December 20, 2016 09:39 AM (dFi94) Not only am I looking forward to seeing the pretty dresses she'll wear ( she has an elegant style, favors solids and avoids tacky prints...yes, I'm talking to YOU, Michelle...), but I cannot wait to see all the press photos for the next 4 years. She's gorgeous and almost never takes a bad photo! The press will try to spin them 5 ways to Sunday, but her beauty will be undeniable. And Merkel said, "We don't want to live paralyzed by fear of evil." Umm....
Posted by: m at December 20, 2016 09:26 AM (3jGss) at least her statement didn't say, we can absorb the losses. she also backhandedly admitted what was an evil. Posted by: willow at December 20, 2016 09:55 AM (R7cwD) 354

Let's not forget, this round of crap with the Muslims started in 1973 when Palestinians executed Amb Noel on Arafat's orders (cough KGB cough).

And Merkel said, "We don't want to live paralyzed by fear of evil." Umm.... We can't do anything about them, so let's only talk about what we can do. Okay. I've waited patiently for weeks now, hoping someone would slip and reveal what FAB means in relation to Hillary--but no joy. I know once I find out what FAB stands for, I'll think "derp!" or "duh!" or some such utterance meant to express complete stupiditude. And yet, I gots to know.
So please! somebody! Tell me what FAB stands for! Posted by: jwpaine at December 20, 2016 10:07 AM (hoJm7) 361

Lena Dunham's possum-faced children would have just as much right to live as anyone else's non-possum-faced children.

get 250 pounds of dog food and a couple of flats of canned meat. When I get home I'm grilling steaks, getting containers filled with kibble, scrubbing down two of the pens inside the kennel, topping off food and changing water in all the pens and stringing an extra length of water hose before we do the night feeding.
That is one spoiled Chi-Weenie. Posted by: DaveA at December 20, 2016 10:25 AM (8J/Te) Posted by: jwpaine at December 20, 2016 10:27 AM (hoJm7) 367

I caught a gander at the dress Queen Moochie was wearing to a posthumous Medal of Honor ceremony. Looks like the fifth place finisher in the third race at Belmont lost his horseblanket. How did it wind up in her closet?
