FAQ: Why Are Leftists Such Pansies?

You talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded.

I mean, really, why are they such pansies?

Here's my guess. A right-winger turns on his favorite television show and has his favorite character tell him his favorite candidate is demonic. He turns on the news and hears "journalists" edit out stories of Democrat malfeasance while emphasizing Republican corruption. He goes to the movies and has his political beliefs insulted and derided. His favorite singer hates him. His professor excoriates him. His employer would fire him if he knew what he thought.

It makes you tough. It makes you smart. It makes you educate yourself as to why you believe what you believe and what the arguments for and against it are.

A leftist? He floats in a candy-cane cloud of self-congratulating self-reinforcement. Hollywood, the news media, academia, they all tell him: "You're smart. You're good. You're right. You're nice. You're going to win the election. Anyone can see that. How could you lose? Anyone who disagrees with you is bad, stupid, mean, wicked."

No wonder these people whine and cry when things don't go their way. Spending their days in a pink haze of bias, how could they ever have seen it coming?

Eh, maybe. But I think mostly they were Born This Way. There are soft people and there are harder ones. The soft people seek to Herd Up, like lesser animals, because they're soft and in need of protection from the group. They also seek help from the government, because they need to be subsidized and championed.

The harder people just take care of their own shit.

Some are born makers, others takers. Yes, culture reinforces these attitudes and makes it easy to be weak, but some are just born weak.

I don't hate them for that.

I hate them for taking the Weakling's Vengeance any chance they get.

I don't think the Captain America movie was right that only a weakling can properly handle being given the gift of strength. I think the strong, long living with strength, develop a code of restraints on their strength -- chivalry, the rules of war, bushido, etc. -- and thus have some experience with having power, and exerting it in an ethical (or at least) restrained way.

But give a weakling who's never had power before in his live some power and control over another, and what checks exist inside him to restrain him? None. None at all.

All he's got is grudges, anger, and an opportunity he knows won't last long to inflict pain on his (real or imagined) persecutors.

That doesn't mean the strong are always just and noble -- they aren't. And it doesn't mean they don't use their strength to hurt others, or at least to advantage themselves. They do.

But it does mean they've had previous experience in being in a power position and have probably developed at least some ethical boundaries as far as the exertion of their power.

But lifelong weaklings haven't, and so there is nothing so vicious as a weakling who's temporarily been gifted with a little power to get payback and live out his Weakling Revenge Fantasy dreams.

And for eight long years, you've been living in a Weakling Revenge Fantasy.

But all dreams come to an end, don't they?

19 I think Klavan is spot on. It's easy to be a leftist when virtually every source of entertainment and news says you are not just right to believe as you do, it's virtuous.

People on the right have to work to understand the facts and find evidence that what they believe is true. That's why you can't argue with a leftist. They don't argue with facts, its all just emotion and appeal to their media and entertainment sources who also justify their beliefs on feelings.

44 People, if you have not yet seen the following link from the "Morning Report" earlier on AoS, misleadingly titled "Buzzfeed Bad Grammar," then you MUST see it.

BEFORE you click the link below, a couple of points you need to know -- read all of this before clicking the link at the bottom opf this post:

1. If you are not in the mood for seeing something horrifying and depressing, DON'T click the link below, because it is horrifying and depressing.

2. People are passing this link around to show how toxic Buzzfeed is -- as if they're blaming Buzzfeed for the content of what is displayed. And while Buzzfeed does indeed seem to APPROVE of what is displayed, that is of minor significance compared to the core issue -- that that the things displayed exist in the first place. So ignore the meta-issue of "Why is the media assaulting us with this awfulness?" and concentrate more on the important issue of "This is proof of the end of the civilization." In fact, in my view, Buzzfeed has done us all a great service by documenting all this -- just as moonbats often will document their own misbehavior at protests and post it online with pride. They're doing my work for me.

3. At least on my computer, several of the images (or what I assume are supposed to have been images) don't load. So if that happens to you as well, don't worry about it -- apparently something is wrong with the page design. If the non-appearance of the images to happens to all of us, then it's the page's fault, not your computer's fault. So, as much as we would have liked to see the missing images, just shrug and move on to the next ones, which are revelateory enough.

4. As you will soon see, this is conclusive proof of the end of civilization as we know it, and that things in the education system are a million times worse than even we imagined. To be discussed later.

5. What you are about to see is this: In the modern world, students aren't required to "write essays" very often any more, because they are illiterate. So instead, they are required to "make PowerPoint presentations" and show them to the class -- because no writing skill nor narrative structure is required for a PowerPoint presentation, which is often just a list of bulleted points you then discuss verbally. So, someone at Buzzfeed compiled a photo gallery of PowerPoint presentations given by high school and coillege students to their classmates.

6. Ignore the issue of the illiteracy of the students, and focus on the content and intent of the Powerpoint presentations. I only mentioned the illiteracy part as a explanation of why these presentation even exist in the first place. Apparently, they are the new "essay." So these are just random scenes from radnom classrooms on random days in the modern educational system.

7. Once you've looked at the pictures: Can you imagine even being alive as a young student in modern times? I believe this is producing generations of people who are going to be so insane in so many corrosive and ruinous ways that we as a society are in big trouble.

Anyway, having prepared you properly for the experience, here is the link:

I agree with the weaklings revenge thing completely.

I think a lot of the youth we think of as soft could be much stronger, they've just been socialized into being a soft part of the herd.

67 Reality is a stone cold implacable force. It is what the Terminator fears. It respects no safe spaces, no ideas, no beliefs, nothing. Reality is.

The Left does not acknowledge it, believes it can create alternative universes where Reality will bow to their Will.* And with enough tyranny and self-delusion they can insulate from Reality for a time. Reality eventually breaks through all insulating illusions and is terrifying when it does.

The Left just got slapped with reality and are trying to come to terms with it, dissonance is too weak a term for the upending they just got. Think of all of the contortions NeverTrump went through from the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire Primary to the GOP Convention. Every plan to stop Trump got ever more outlandish and unbelievable and Reality-Denying and even now some cannot mentally adjust. The Left, like NeverTrump, is trying to adjust to Reality and coming from further away than NeverTrump ever was, they are going to have further to go.

Enjoy the bat-guano crazy while it lasts because (but for a few die-hards) it will eventually end.

74 I saw a leftist in a comments section the other day insisting that really, the left won on Election Day. Because Trump's really a liberal and is going to screw us all over and we're too dumb to know it.

Well, if that's the case why has the left been blubbering and raging and calling for playdoh and therapy dogs for the past month? If they really won, shouldn't they be popping open the bottles of bubbly and toasting that sly old dog, Trump?

I don't think that lefty really believes that. I think they are so incoherent, emotional and immature that their argument is reduced to this:

Conservative: I'm sure happy Trump won! I've been laughing at liberals for the last month!

Libtard: No, we won and we're laughing at you, so there!

Con: Boy, you're really angry, aren't you?

Libtard: No, you're angry!

It must be great to be able to think like that:
Hilllary won - yay, we won!
Trump won - yay, we won (or we'll say we won)

77 Fear of force runs through ALL liberal arguments. It's the true passion of liberals to avoid the fight and although they disguise it under all sort of agenda bricabrac, it adds up to the same thing: I AM AFRAID TO FIGHT. So they've made a politics and a religion out of it, and are now (forcelessly, of course) trying to gyp the warrior class out of its leadership role and turn the culture against it. But Justice and a restoration of Alpha rights, is coming.

79 Here's the thing: In the circumstances that have been in place for quite some time, the "weak" have, by means formal and informal, been the "strong"--but still hold on to the pretense of being "weak". Thus they justify tactics of "the weak" being used from a position of initial strength. This is a difficult thing to counter; it's also ridiculously dishonest, and relies on a certain code of honor, ethics, and/or morality on the other side to work.

Once that other side re-examines the situation...or just ditches their code...things revert to the norm. Brutally. And with massive collateral damage as a result.

These fuckers are fucking everyone for a long time and don't even realize it.

80 I watched PBS's "Frontline" piece devoted to the beginnings of ISIS.

Not bad. At least the producers zinged Barry's administration for not responding to their questions. No mention Barry's reference to ISIS as "the JV team", though.

Klavan's column deals with part of that - the constant self-referencing of a commander-in-chief who is the antithesis of the myth created for Obama by his sycophants in the MSM.

"Frontline"'s production values were first rate - beheadings (complete with the first cut then the screaming of the victims), car bomb after car bomb, and it went on an on. And Frontline didn't hold back on Barry's very own "mission accomplished" speech and it's responsibility for the mass slaughter that followed.

The current administration and their MSM dimwit courtiers will not be treated kindly when future generations have their say.

This morning the radio news feed featured Trump saying: "We're going to hire American and buy American!"

And it suddenly dawned on me that we have been living in an environment where government and media had been asskicking our country for eight entire years. I thought about what fraction of my life those 8 years represented. And then I considered the plight of the 16 year old who has lived under this indoctrination for half their existence on this planet.

107 In thinking about the Captain America story as presented in the recent films, Steve Rogers was a warrior in a weakling's body - all he had was that warrior's code. The important thing is that when he got the warrior's physical strength, he understood that it had become more important than ever to continue to adhere to the code, else he'd become a monster.

If he was a Leftist, he'd use his newfound power to "make things right," as opposed to "doing the right thing," even if it is infinitely harder.

That's my two.

109 One objection to the Captain America thing (because that's what's important in this discussion): he wasn't good at being strong because he was a weakling. He didn't change; he was a brave, self-sacrificing, and merciful person when he was scrawny and little. He got into fights with stronger people trying to protect the weak. The serum simply made his outside match his inside. (Counter -- the strong, handsome Bucky was completely broken and his enhancements just ground him down.)

That is all.

Posted by: sunny-dee at December 07, 2016 02:18 PM (QAOZh)

110 Actually I think the reason they picked Steve Rogers out of many they looked at to be Captain America was not because he was weak but because he was a good guy and a morally upright person even though he WAS a weakling and often bullied.

The thought being that because he was such a good person he would not turn to revenge and bullying if he suddenly became super humanly strong.

129 I had an epiphany and realized why everyone seemed like such pussies to me. I don't mean just leftists, but pretty much everyone except a very select few.

It was because of my formative years. I lived from 2nd through 6th grade in a subdivision immediately outside Ft. Bragg, NC. The rest of my life outside college I live/lived near the DC line on in NYC, but the formative years, those years when you learn to be a person, were spent in the company of other people who were either 82nd Airborne or the families of 82nd Airborne or, like me, the child of someone studying the 82nd Airborne because they were supporting them. So there were no children who were growing up in homes where their parents were the sensitive, don't scold the kids, omg a fight! types. None. The soundtrack to our lives was artillery going off in the distance every day but Christmas (which was eerily silent). Every single man on my street was "Colonel" either active duty or retired. Conversations concerned who had enough jump pay to buy a cadillac instead of a Buick.

I think pussidom is genetic and environmental.

152 The doctor's speech in Captain America was in the critical area of "almost true", which so often leads to "but mostly false". He *was* on to something, but that something is that someone with all the advantages of physical and social power does not have any *requirement* to develop inner strength of character. Roughly, adversity *can* make one strong, and if you can do what you want, you often... do.

The flip of that, that someone who lacks physical and social strength may be forced to develop an inner strength if he is to succeed - iron self control and discipline - is also truthy. But, there is a big problem there.

The inner strength that is thereby developed is not always a moral one. Ironically, we start going into Nietschean "will" and might makes right in another dimension. Further, if one's "adversity" does not actually adverse, there is no cause for inner strength to develop in the first place.

A man may be strong in all respects. A man may be weak in all respects. Without any means for external weakness to work inner strength in someone, weakness in all is more likely now than ever before, and when coupled with what inner strength does develop in a moral vacuum, the results aren't pleasant.

Steve Rogers was strong because he was weak *and succeeded*... but that's the 40s for you. Real adversity, and a man succeeding in spite of spectacular weakness is a man with a great deal of inner strength indeed. The SJWs of the world use the strength of others in service to their own social strength (gained through feigned and exotic "weakness") and poisoned will to power. No comparison.

155 Just to bring forth the nerd argument ace I would say that the movie was wrong in calling Captain America weak. He wasn't physically strong but he stood up for what he believed in and was willing to fight even though he was going to lose. A weak individual would have been running away from the bullies every chance, not getting up and going "I can do this all day."

Just further proving that when Hollywood makes a movie they really do not have a clue even what they are showing.

160 Here's my take on it.

First and foremost, for too many people politics has become religion. This is primarily on the Left though there are a few on the Right who act this way as well.

When politics is your religion and your politics have been rejected, your religion has been slighted and you react to the heresy.

Secondly, and relatedly, is the replacement of actual virtue with check box political beliefs. I am a good person because I believe x, y and z, not because I act in virtuous ways. Again, the rejection of your moral code is a rejection of self. Your position isn't being rejected, your very being is being rejected. For those who are not made of sterner stuff, that is a psychically wounding blow.

This is why I get so enraged about the political being per se personal. It's is extremely damaging psychologically to place the locus of self in external validations such as political wins and losses.

Lastly, there's that too many people really do not have any kind of resilience. Mind you, I'm not the most resilient person on the planet and, in addition to loving my grudges, I'm in love with my sadness. But I view this as a character flaw, not as something to be celebrated for being so sensitive. No. Pick yourself up, brush yourself off and move the damn on with life has always been good advice. Now? Oh here sit down and let us analyze the depths of your feeeeellliiiinnngggss. In moderation, yes. If you don't lance that boil it will fester. But if you suck down the poison from the boil, you will rot.

Posted by: alexthechick - rrraaawwwrrr at December 07, 2016 02:27 PM (mf5HN)

161 >>And also, yes, the Captain America idea is bullshit. Give a weakling power and he'll abuse it, because it's something he's coveted his whole life.

Weakling isn't always a case of physical strength. Steve Rogers wanted to be a solider, he wanted to contribute but he lacked a lot of the physical attributes to allow him to do what he wanted.

He remained good because he always was good. He wasn't just some weak turd wallowing in pity. This is not a good example.

167 129 I had an epiphany and realized why everyone seemed like such pussies to me.

Posted by: dagny

Interesting! But ponder this:

My growing-up experience was basically the polar opposite of yours -- parents were beatnik-wannabes, off-the-charts left-wingers, who mostly ignored their children as they pursued their own hedonistic narcissism. So I partly grew up in neighborhood hippies communes where people smoked pot and lazed about in total squalor.

The Left is now discovering this undoing, their fantasy in pieces.

183 I don't think the Captain America movie was right that only a weakling can properly handle being given the gift of strength. I think the strong, long living with strength, develop a code of restraints on their strength -- chivalry, the rules of war, bushido, etc. -- and thus have some experience with having power, and exerting it in an ethical (or at least) restrained way.

This is a tangent but, exactly. Captain America was turned from "right vs wrong, America vs Nazis" into "weak vs bullies." Hollywood, horrified by the idea of absolute truth and ethics, repelled by the concept of America standing for good in a struggle against evil, rewrote the character's concept and origin into a mold they like better: oppressor vs oppressed.

No more was Cap a defender of liberty against tyranny. No longer did he stand for basic American values and principles. Now he's just a guy who doesn't like bullies.

And the movie shows that they know better. It wasn't a struggle against bullies that made Cap jump on the grenade. It was wanting to protect his brothers in arms and save their lives at the cost of his own.

It wasn't a struggle against bullies that got him out in that alley with a trash can lid fighting a bigger guy, it was wanting the military fighting for freedom to be show more respect. These are basic American values that they couldn't help but use to demonstrate his heroism. And then they cheapened it by saying it was about "not liking bullies."

I hated that.

228 I'm encouraged by the rise of superhero films, as flawed as they are. Hollywood does not understand good or evil and only understands heroism by accident or copycat, but they still manage to tell the story of people doing good against evil to protect others, at their own expense.

This society needs heroes, it needs examples of people doing right against impossible odds, at a personal cost. This story directly opposes the special snowflake bubble boy upbringing kids get. The good guy fighting the bad guy, using righteous violence to end their evil is an important lesson to learn.

244 I also think many, if not most people, simply accept whatever the Conventional Wisdom of their time is - partly because they're conformists and in the case of people who are not that interested in politics, because they're too damn busy getting on with life and so don't spend time thinking about Big Picture things.

In the Middle Ages, they would have accepted the Divine Right of Kings. In the ante-bellum South, they would have accepted slavery. In Nazi-era Germany, they would have accepted anti-Semitism.

The desire to fit in and not be a damn weirdo lasts past adolescence. That's why control of the culture is so important. If SJWs are laughed at instead of coddled, if they become uncool laughingstocks on campuses rather than figures to be feared and mollified, then public opinion will shift quickly. I'm seeing signs that it is starting to happen.

People are sick of the damn whining and bullying and the ruining of things that they have always enjoyed (ie, rock concerts, the NFL, movies) as an escape from politics.

262 The truth is, the more power you have -- the more authority, control, etc -- the more of a servant you become. Its kind of like Spider-Man's "With power comes great responsibility" but its more than that.

Freedom isn't a goal in its self. Freedom is a means to an end, we are free in order to do things not just be free. Power is the same way; power is a means to do things.

The more powerful you become, the larger your sphere of responsibility becomes and the more people you are duty bound to. People fail to understand that and use the power for themselves, but that does not change what they owe and are responsible for.

Its like being a dad: you're still a father if you are a lousy one.

Except for the fact that most of these racist presenters were Black, there is nothing there that would be out of place in a Nazi lecture about Jews.

I'm not quite sure they understand what the endgame is here. And if they do understand just how racist and genocidal they are and plan to act of those beliefs, I'm not sure the understand just how badly it will turn out for them.

Milo pointed out in some talk that it's an open secret that a lot of the most strident feministas are into S and M - as the submissive. Now, I'm not sure how Milo knows that, but it makes sense to me. Why wasn't there a feminist outcry against "50 Shades of Gray?" Could it be that since they are unable to see male-female relationships in any terms besides oppressor-victim that they might really get off on playing the little victim ordered about by the evil man?

I once knew a paralegal who was the biggest, most obnoxious feminist you can imagine, while wearing fishnets to work (she was finally told it was inappropriate office wear) - and it was rumored that she was very much into S and M with complete strangers.

406 Big ass bullies aren't necessarily manly men either. A real man is a protector of the weak. He is courageous but not necessarily bold. And the bold aren't necessarily courageous.

An excerpt from the book Tides of War sums it up for me. I've posted it many times. Just a bit now.

The bold man is prideful , brazen and ambitious. The brave man calm, god fearing and steady. The bold man seeks to divide; he wants his own and will shoulder his brother aside to loot it. In troubled times the bold man flails about in effeminate anguish, seeking to draw his neighbors into his misfortune, for he has no strength of character to fall back upon other than to drag others down to his own state of wickedness.

The brave man in dark hours endures silently, uncomplaining. Reverencing the heaven's seasons, he does what must be done, sustaining himself with certainty that to endure injustice with patience is the mark of piety and wisdom.

The Left is bold. The Right is courageous.

422 Because they gain power from pointing out things that are "broken" and need fixing. That's what toddlers do. The left is stuck in this mode of toddlerhood where they point out things but offer no help in actually fixing them, or they give crappy ideas on how to fix them, like a little toddler would. Because toddlers are also HUGE pussies.

424 From a culture perspective, we have a powerful framing of the strong person who abuses his power, the bully. There is not an equivalent iconic representation of the weak person attaining power specifically so he/she can become a bully. And of course, we live in a world where the stories are now constructed that anyone who wins does so on the back of a weaker person or by cheating. So only the loser is virtuous.

Posted by: IanDeal at December 07, 2016 03:34 PM (4yakC)

425 Here's another reason why Leftists are such deranged A-holes:

They are simply mentally unstable with a terrible psychosis:- they have a great need to control others and need to be told how great they are.

In short they are sickos who have to control everything and everyone or they are not happy.

Posted by: Unsk at December 07, 2016 03:40 PM (HzGJ6)

426 OT, but not really.

Ever think about how many libtards over the years, especially musicians, have been screwed over by managers and such?

Could it be that they have no ability to discern character, and choose people to run things for them becuase they "like them" not because they're "competent?"

I think this is a good example of what happens when "emotions" are more important than "logic" or "common sense."

429 I think the strong, long living with strength, develop a code of restraints on their strength -- chivalry, the rules of war, bushido, etc. -- and thus have some experience with having power, and exerting it in an ethical (or at least) restrained way.

Yeah, well.....Sorta. They also have a penchant for throwing their weight around if they can, which can pose problems for the weak that are not easy to address. I mean, look at Bushido: from Hagakure (The Book of the Samurai):
~"A real man does not think of victory or defeat. He plunges recklessly towards an irrational death. By doing this, you will awaken from your dreams."~ Its a psychological truth, but kinda rough on anyone in your way.

So: non-pussy. The lesson isn't that pussies know how to apply force, the lesson is as Aristotle said: But courage
is noble. Therefore the end also is noble; for each thing is known by its end. Therefore it is for a noble end that the brave man endures and acts as courage directs. "

434 I've often wondered at this strong vs weak thing. Men are, as a rule, more powerful than women. The powerful easily get used to solving problems directly with force whereas the gentler folk learn more subtle ways to get things done - what else can they do?
