The media is always fretting that ginning up "white rage" will produce "backlash" -- violence -- against minority communities. Okay, let's say I accept that's a possibility. Is it not also a possibility that ginning up minority rage over agrievements, both those that can be characterized as possibly real as well of those of the #FakeNews contrived paranoia variety, can spur non-whites into their own "backlash" mode? If not, why not? Are whites singularly evil in this world? Are they alone the only race capable of being whipped up into a hateful, violent lather by racial paranoia and racial grievances? Geraghty notes that the OSU Killer had a lot of "fears" of "The Other" -- and he acted on them. I don't hear the media talking about this kind of "whitelash."Take a good look at the Facebook post of the Ohio State University attacker. Sure, there’s plenty of that familiar jihadist rhetoric. "America, stop interfering with other countries, especially the Muslim Ummah. We are not weak… By Allah, we will not let you sleep unless you give peace to the Muslims. You will not celebrate or enjoy any holiday." But what comes through most is this whining sense of victimhood, that he’s forced to commit these atrocious, barbaric attacks on innocent people out of a righteous sense of self-defense to protect his feelings. "I am sick and tired of seeing my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters being killed and tortured EVERYWHERE. Seeing my fellow Muslims being tortured, raped and killed in Burma led to a boiling point." See, Muslims aren’t being killed and tortured everywhere. It would be nice if someone close to him had told him that, and if fewer people helped fuel that rage-inducing falsehood. If he ever bothered to read a book or the news about places like Syria and Iraq, he would have learned that Muslims are mostly being killed and tortured by fellow Muslims.If it's dangerous for a strain of white identity politics to nurture a fear and hatred of "The Other" -- different races -- and that such a strain of grievance-mongering and paranoia may result in the murders or assaults of minorities, why is it (as the media and mediating institutions seem to believe) not dangerous at all for minority ethnic groups to gin up their own fear, paranoia, and hatred against whites or society in general? Will the media or any government official ever address this, given the weekly assassinations of police, and the newest barbarism committed against OSU students due to one lunatic steeping in the hatreds of identity politics? Or does the media simply believe that White Lives Don't Matter, especially when compared against the Democrats' keep to make Identity Politics Grievances and Hatreds Against Whites the central organizing principle of their party? (By the way: Cops are widely considered "White By Association" by many of the people ginning up racial resentments, no matter what their actual ethnicity. So blue lives are essentially white lives, and no, they don't seem to matter. As Kurt Schlicter noted, media interest in the OSU story dried up immediately upon discovering the attack did not involve 1, a gun or 2, a white perpetrator who could be characterized as "Trump voter" harassing minority victims.)

Active Shooter training today. It was useful and the advice was situational awareness is your first protection. Then it was know your location and the immediate exits, know the compass directions within your building. If bad things go down your options are run - evacuate and get others to go also, but if they won't you just go. Hide if you cannot evacuate. And if you have to fight go all in. If you are going to shove the flagpole in his face aim for a spot behind his skull and drive it home.
I thought it was useful advice.

It's one thing for a media elite to get wound up about an attack at a state university in the middle of all those Rust Belt deplorables. Having read his writing, Quayle actually is quite intelligent and very conservative. He just wasn't a great public speaker and got flustered easily. This morning on F & F, Doocy interviewed an American tactical trainer that spent a lot of time with the IDF. He now teaches IDF tactical methods of removing terrorists , LOL, to police and security departments. He had spoken with the OSU police department and Columbus PD, Franklin County Sheriff, and determined that his IDF training methods were being handed down through the department's training for officers and the officer involved was trained in the methods, and utilized them.
When dealing with a terrorist , the IDF knows that you must kill them immediately and do so by rendering them so that their hands are paralyzed. Which means head shots through the CNS. (you want to paralyze the hands so they can't detonate a bomb). This OSU officer did just that, when his command for the jihadi to drop his knife and freeze wasn't immediately heeded.
The tactical trainer was quite pleased.

Their "thing" was that most people cannot tell difference between ME illegals and Latin Americans...except when you speak Spanish to them. But, we don't, we meekly pay our taxes and go about our business. In genetic reality, Indians (from India) and Middle Easterners (Arabs, Kurds, Jews, Turks, etc.) are all "Caucasian." The ethnicity borderline does not match the geographic borderline.
If you add up all of Europe, about 90% of India (excluding Tibetans, Dravidians and Nagalanders), about 90% of the Middle East (excluding Hazaras, Tajiks and Kyrgyz), plus all the places that Europeans and Arabs and Indians have colonized - -Australia, Canada, 40% of South Africa, 70% of the United States, etc. etc. etc.), you're getting close to 40%/50% of the global population.

Hey, I didn't say it made sense. But back in the Cold War days it made sense to those looking for someone to blame or throw off their colonialist masters.
The Soviets were very involved in the formation of the ANC in South Africa that eventually brought Mandela to power.
It's a strategy that worked for them for a long time. Still is to a certain extent. And the radical Islamists, no stranger to totalitarian governments, have picked up on it too.

You're right about the racialism being a part of USSR propaganda but it was complicated. The Russians, after all, were white, as were Castro and Guevara. So the propaganda was selectively applied.
You never saw the black=good/white=bad mantra used INSIDE of Cuba --- for the obvious reason that the ruling class in Castro's Cuba was almost exclusively white and blacks were at the bottom of the heap. The fact that Batista was mulatto, like Obama, further complicated things. So the colonialist (Cuban) vs. imperialist (American) line was the one pursued with rigor.
But for OUTSIDE consumption and agitation that could morph conveniently into white vs. black, European vs. Asian, Jew vs. Arab, etc. --- and it did.
