Kind of a rice cooker, steamer, pressure cooker combo. I got one for my sister and her new husband because they'd been using my old $7 rice cooker I gave her from the Pearl Harbor NEX and this one looks nice. I'll ask her for first-hand feedback from using it.
She says it cooks well. Just in case anyone's in the market for an electric cooking pot that does rice and is also a pressure cooker. Being able to steam things off in the corner of the counter and free up a burner on the stove (and have it turn itself off when it's done) is pretty handy.

States have their own rules, usually triggered at a certain percentage of closeness in the vote totals.
Election officials or states pay for recounts.
Private recounts can be done also, don't know the machinery for that but the Miami Herald did one in Florida after the Bush-Gore set-to.

Clearly something so huge, Dems would pull out all stops, pull in every favor from every crooked pollster, to change results. But MI and WI alone would not change results anyway. Still, sine Stein said they found no indication of fraud, I don't see how they could do an official count without better reason than having the money.
But I guess if a private count (they have access to the ballots?) found miscounts, that would be evidence. Hopefully they just go away, or if they want accurate elections, fight for voter ID and verifiable tamper proof systems (which Dems seem to always oppose)

My great grandfather's name was Frobel. On the other side, one of my grandfather's middle name was Celeste (and he was career military, so I assume he heard about that a time or two.)
Both of my grandfather's first names was Ernest (hence my middle name.) As a kid I did not like it as much, but these days I miss having it around.

Recounts are handled by the same people and procedures that did the original counting. The expenses are paid by the appealing party, unless the vote is so close that a recount is mandated by state law. Which these are not.
In general, recounts do not shift the vote by more than a few hundred in one direction or another. The recount in Ohio in 2004, for example, resulted in a whopping 300 extra votes for John Kerry, who still lost by 118,000 votes in that state.
The exception that makes everyone nervous is Florida in 2000. However, in that case the margin really was microscopic, and the Democrats attempted to steal the state by only recounting in a couple of Democrat strongholds where they could gin up extra votes with hanging chads, undervotes and overvotes.
These recounts, if they happen, will be statewide. And most of the counties in the states in question voted for Trump anyway. So they will probably look more like Ohio in 2004 than Florida in 2000.

She was a dumpy, silly girl he only married out of pity and a kind of affection for her because she was so sweet to him, then went through the motions out of a sense of duty. Eventually when she died he was very sad, not because of loss but because she was such a nice girl who never really had anything beyond a very handsome, successful husband. I liked her, much more than his second wife. But career-wise, not a great choice for an ambitious, climbing captain.

Both they and the NYT admitted Bush won. There was no question about it, just a driving need to keep counting until Gore won by radical leftists in charge of those counties.
The Florida Supreme Court lacked the authority to allow the continual, repeated recounts to begin with, they just did it because they didn't like the results. That's why their ruling was vacated by the Supreme Court of the United States not just overturned. As if it never existed.

IIRC, that's why he wanted to keep recounting and finally the SCOTUS said the votes had been counted to death and get over it.
The Miami Herald did their own state-wide recount much later.

I remember seeing a news show that talked about the recounts they did on Florida. The only recount that Gore was the one by the methodology he DID NOT want done. That's the only one. All other recount methods ended up with Bush winning.

Gore only wanted recounts in 3 counties most favorable to him. Bush argued no, you don't get to do that, if you want to recount Florida votes, fine, let's recount *all* the Florida votes. And there was no time to do that.
What the MSM never reported was how shabby Gore's legal case was. The only court that he "won" in was the very liberal Florida Supreme Court. Only that court kept the debacle going. All other courts told Gore to go pound sand.

I've watched a few videos by this guy and can't really stand him, this video he mentions that Stein had up a fundraiser for $2.5 million, and then once she got that, her fund went up to $4.5 million.

Sorry, those were Buchanan votes that got double-punched. Palm Beach county left their historical voting records up for a few months after the election and you could see that the number of chads exactly matched the number of Buchanan votes that seemed to be missing. But the voting trends were unchanged for other offices.

There's a fun website that tracks the popularity of names through the decades, and they've noticed that there is a 100 year cycle. Names become wildly popular, then as their owners age, become old lady and old man names and then, after those people die off, the younger generation, dusts them off and starts giving their kids those names again.
I've seen it happen with "Sophie" and "Max" which were definitely considered old people names when I was a kid.
My name places me pretty squarely amongst the boomers - I know lots of middle aged Donnas, but nobody in their 20's with that name. Same goes for Mary Beths, Karens, Maureens, Gregs, and Jerrys.
It seems like every other millennial I meet is named Ryan or Brittany.
