Just wading through comments at some Bernster sites. (I subject myself so you don't have to!)
A lot of them say they are not voting period, but a surprising number of them say they are voting Trump. Oh, sure, they go through the requisite Virtue Signaling first ("I wish I had a better option," "I despise Trump but not as much as HRC" etc etc.) but they seem to like that he self-funded through the primaries and that he will take on corruption in DC. And the rigged-election talk from Trump, they are certainly down with that. Either way, whether they stay home or vote Trump, it's a plus. Well after an exuberant October murder rate of 80 homicides, Chiraq is off to a rousing start with 23 killings to date in November.
Apparently the Cubs winning didn't solve any long term social disorders there. In Dallas, the city's police are retiring as fast as they can, since the pension fund is almost out of cash, and to top it off they are taking lump sum retirements. The mayor estimates that the property taxes need to go up 130% this year to keep the Ponzi scheme a goin' a bit longer. My musical pick for this one is Panic In Detroit. A lot of them say they are not voting period, but a surprising number of them say they are voting Trump. Several years ago I was at a local Miami pool where my children went for swimming practice. They also conducted classes for younger groups of children. I remember that it was a sunny gorgeous day when I noticed a group of noisy and happy young kids with their parents surrounding one of the young coaches after practice, and there among that group I recognized Reno ' s niece holding one of her kid and the other next to her. I was surprised to see her there, and all I could think of were the children that were murdered at Waco. As this was going through my head, I looked up at her and noticed that she was looking back at me with a serious look on her face. I wondered then if she ever even thought about or felt any guilt for those innocent murdered by her aunt. Posted by: Martell at November 07, 2016 08:36 AM (d8yeJ) 171

I've been trying to steel my spine for Tuesday's outcome. I don't feel good about it. I just don't think there is any way this crime organization will let Trump become President.
I don't know what's left, except wishing the states would do something. But they've had plenty of reason to do something so far and they never have. Not even, big, bad, GI-Joe Texas has done anything. Arizona came closest with what Jan Brewer did, but it was her vs the Supreme Court. I feel really worried about what Hillary is likely to do in office. We've never had a President who's ethics are such a joke and who so openly despises everything this country was ever founded on. Everything Obama wasn't able to do, she will do. People woke up too late. Posted by: AlaBAMA at November 07, 2016 08:47 AM (2PHKP) 196
60,000 felons? I thought at first someone had misplaced a decimal point. That's a lot of felons. You know what poetic justice would be? One of these sociopathic Democrats getting bumped off by one of these thugs that they gleefully inflict on society, in order to illegitimately hang on to power.

This might be a delicious example of the Dems' devious strategy coming back to bite them in the ass in a big way. The Dems didn't want to make Hill's coronation too obvious, so they set up what they thought would be token opposition to make Dem sheep feel like they had a choice. They didn't think Bernie would draw more votes than that cipher O'Malley, but to their great surprise (and Bernie's too) Sanders gave Hill a real run for her money. She wins the nomination, but then it comes out that she was always going to win it. And now at least some Bernie supporters really do feel the burn and are not going to line up behind Hill the way they are supposed to. The Dems might have really smacked a hornet's nest with a stick and for once, they're faced with voters they can't control or manipulate. If Trump manages to win tomorrow because of them, I will never stop laughing. Posted by: Donna&&&&V(deplorably brandishing ampersands&&&&and so there at November 07, 2016 08:47 AM (P8951) 201

I had a talk w/our pastor after his sermon yesterday. He was talking about how no political party has a franchise on Christian values. He mentioned abortion (which by our doctrine should be absolutely be the end of discussion) and contrasted it with "racial reconciliation" (whatever the hell that is).
Me: How can you draw a moral equivalency between abortion and racial reconciliation? Him: Oh, I wasn't, killing a baby and pulling someone over for driving while black are different. I was making a larger point about how Christian values are at odds with both parties. They're actively campaigning in PA too. Some of her hollywood peeps are doing their best to drag her carcass over the finish line. Last week Katy Perry and somebody else was here. But that wasn't enough "persuasion", so they pressed Springsteen and Bon Jovi into service. Springsteen had vowed never to repeat his last minute concert for the donks because the last time he did it Kerry lost. They had to send volunteers to GOTV in Chester. That means they're not expecting the same turnout from minorities in Philadelphia, so they have to mine votes in the much smaller town. Trump was in Chester months ago. ============================ Silver explains that. His model takes older polls into account, so it takes a little time for changes to show up in his projections. This race couldn't get much closer, though I suppose if a big state in her "firewall" were all tied up, like Virginia or Michigan, it would truly be a complete guess for the pollsters. Posted by: MTF at November 07, 2016 09:09 AM (sCBEO) I never got how a SEPTA strike would suppress voter turnout, because in the city polling places are easily walkable. Maybe for those who intended to vote after work it would be a hassle, because most people in the city use SEPTA to commute to work. In any case, since the donk GOTV is so strong and legendary, the precinct captains would have stepped in to get stranded voters to the polls. Don't be sad. I just finished reading The American Thinker piece written by Jerry Brown listed above, "At Risk Is Nothing Less Than The Right Ever To Resist Again".
I disagree. It should be noted the 'right to resist' isn't written down anywhere and doesn't need to be. It's in our blood, our bones, our national DNA. What he means, I think, is that Hillary Clinton is going to bring the hammer down. Good people are going to lose their livelihoods. Then, when the 'hate speech' laws kick in, their freedom. If she's elected, things are going to get very bad very fast. Saw a movie last night on Amazon called 'Anthropoid', a historical drama meticulously based on factabout the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich by a cell of SOE-trained Czech resistance fighters. As they were planning the hit, one of them asked the other about escape routes and the like, what happens after. The other, played by Cillian Murphy, looked at him for a long time, shrugged, shook his head."It doesn't matter what happens to us," he said. After Heydrich's assassination, nearly all of those involved were hunted down and killed. In reprisal, the Nazisexterminated all males over 16 in the village of Lidice and sent the women and children to concentration camps. We will always have the right to resist. It's a God-given right. Just don't expect a happy ending. Posted by: troyriser at November 07, 2016 09:25 AM (OGbEB) 307

For instance, Bloomberg's latest Trump v. Clinton poll gives Clinton a +3 lead. But ... Bloomberg's latest Generic Congressional Vote gives Republicans a +3 lead. A generic +3 lead for Republicans means a huge surge for Republicans. Dems usually need a 0 to +2 advantage to stay even. Trump continues to trail Clinton in the dead demographic. While her outreach to the Dead-American constituency appears to have paid dividends, Trump's campaign has not scheduled a single cemetery appearance. Additionally, Trump has not included any pro-dead issues in his campaign literature, and his unliving-oriented t.v. buys have been noticeably absent. Neglecting a constituency like that has cost candidates dearly in the past--Trump may rue the day he chose to ignore the needs of the dead.

The Waco Siege had many of the same agencies, officials, and other 'players' as did the Ruby Ridge incident. With one difference.
Geraldo Rivera. Yes. In 1992 Geraldo Rivera's helicopter did a flyover of Randy Weaver's property for his TV show 'Now It Can Be Told'. It was falsely claimed "by media sources" that his helicopter was fired at, and this report was forwarded to the US Marshals and this "fact" later played a part in the decision-making process which led to the deaths of Weaver's son Sam, his wife Vicki, and their dog. Fuck Geraldo. He can go to hell along with that slag Reno and they can waltz together to an orchestra strung with their own bowels. WRT Oklahoma City: McVeigh said it was in return for the Waco massacre.
I recall a picture of McVeigh at Waco prepared to hand out leaflets to any who stopped by to see the site of the massacre. He was alone. All of the Self-Proclaimed Exceptionally Wonderful (SPEW) stayed away. They wept bitter tears over Matthew Shepard and Trayvon Martin. But the infants of Waco were insignificant. Not actually people. Not worth worrying about. I wonder if we'd had as much national outrage about those kids as about Shepard, would McVeigh have done what he did? He was wrong to do it, but one of the reasons not to eff with somebody is that there's likely to be a nutcase who'll take it too far in return. Cadillac Ranch is the only song on that album that doesnt suck.
He played every song he had recorded. Then he played every song he wrote for other people. Then he played every song he heard on the radio growing up. I'm barely exaggerating. Springshit was always being praised for his marathon concerts but it was 3+ hours of the same f'ing song over and over and f'ing over. And he has like 12 people on stage to play what is basically simple, 50s-style rock-n-roll. It was excruciating. Just excruciating. Can't play guitar, can't sing, sucks bags of dicks. His first couple of albums were at least inventive and somewhat interesting, even if his sub-Dylan-knockoff lyrics were just silly. And I'll give him "Because the Night." That's a great song and the only song I liked in concert. Posted by: WhatWhatWhat? - Takin' My Time on my Ride at November 07, 2016 09:47 AM (WlGX+) 384

284 "One of the commenters mentioned a county in Michigan that has long been considered w bellwether for the state and that Trump is something like 20 points ahead in that county. Does anyone know which county that person was referring to?"
The bellweather for Michigan is Macomb County, home of the original Reagan Democrats. Obama took this county by 5 or 6 points, but in the last two polls Trump was ahead by 20 then by 12. Bernie was big here. White, non-college educated working class - custom made area for Trump. The rally last night in Sterling Heights, MI was Macomb County. Right now, the City of Detroit is about 95% Hillary, but the remainder of Wayne county and Oakland are either tied or leaning Trump. With Macomb going to Trump, there is no way Hillary can get enough out-state votes to win. Posted by: jwest at November 07, 2016 09:51 AM (Zs4uk) 394

Just to see what the opposition is saying, I went over to Fox this morning. Krauthammer--that huge piece of shit--says the election will be over early. He says Hillary wins big early on. It made me cry. How can people be so damned F-ing stupid as to elect a criminal as president? I know Trump has had an up hill battle against nearly everyone except the people. I guess we don't count any longer. I know this seems "troll-y." It's just that it's all so discouraging. I apologize. Is there any glimmer of hope?

When Trump wins, besides punishing the traitor elite republicans that remain in Washington, he needs to adopt a way of introducing every new or changed program...
Trump should say: "To fix Obama's mess, we are going to..." or: "In order to clean up Obama's failed program, we are announcing..." Everything he does, from restructuring healthcare to ordering a cheeseburger, needs to prefaced by how Obama was a totally failed president and that everything he did during his 8 years in office hurt the country. Beat him down at every opportunity. Make Carter seem like Ronald Reagan compared to Obama. ====== People need to quit saying that--it IMPOSSIBLE. If Trump wins the popular vote, he wins--no ifs, ands or buts. Hillary can win the popular vote and still lose, though. BTW, did anyone here really, in their heart of hearts, think Hilary would do anything but skate?
I thought the information had to be significant enough that it could (slight chance) conceivably impact the election, and that there was a decent shot it might bring down Huma Abedin, who would be the "big fish". Probably not Cheryl Mills, and no way would Hilary go down. I knew that, the same way I knew the Eagles would cough up a 4th quarter lead to the Cowboys last week, and that they would not overcome a similar 4th quarter lead by the Giants yesterday. Romney made a few stops in PA, but mostly at the end when he knew he needed a boost. Trump has tried for MI and PA and OH from the start with his populist trade talk.
Tough to say you are on the side of the normally DEM voting union guys when you wants to have corporations ship more jobs overseas. Romneys message was less "I will fix it" and more "I can manage it better." Also, Trump has campaigned and stumped in the rust belt throughout the election. Many GOPers stop right after they get nominated (except Ohio) and then come back at the last second. Trump did not do that. Posted by: Nick in South Bend at November 07, 2016 10:12 AM (H43MS) 469

Also, Trump has campaigned and stumped in the rust belt throughout the
election. Many GOPers stop right after they get nominated (except Ohio) and then come back at the last second. Trump did not do that. =========== And he mentions trade in every single speech, multiple times with specifics for nearly every state in the Rust Belt--to great cheers. And, he's took great pains to shoehorn the same into every debate. While Hillary used the debates to address specific demographics (gheys, Hispanics, women, etc.), Trump used the debates to address specific states (FL, OH, PA, MI). Result: Trump's polls in each state has went up. Posted by: RoyalOil at November 07, 2016 10:24 AM (e2Rx3) 504

Trump has an EC advantage, because smaller states get weightred more. There's almost no way Hillary can win if she loses the popular vote.
