"Hillary's Bitter Tears" Drink Recipes Thread

MAGA asked about how to make a drink called Hillary's Bitter Tears.

Zombie offered the first recipe:

Hillary's Bitter Tears

2 jiggers absinthe (wormwood liqueur)
1 jigger grapefruit shrub
1 jigger 180-proof gin
Angostura bitters
Celery bitters
tears from an old sow

combine all ingredients in a pewter goblet. Do not stir. Drink while weeping.

Here's another one:

Hillary's Bitter Tears

18 parts vodka. Any kind of vodka. VODKA!
3 parts Binaca to disguise the vodka smell
4 more parts vodka
Pulped Whitewater Billing records
a few more parts of vodka in case you were drunk before and miscounted
Three drops of BleachBit extract
Olives pre-soaked in vodka. Squeeze the vodka out of the olives into the drink, then throw away the olives.

Rub the drink's lip with the dried genetic material of a former US president recovered from a befouled cloth. Then wipe that genetic material off the lip because, eww. Man-stuff.

Pour into a large empty "Energy Drink" can and pretend you're just getting you're caffeine on because all the Millennials will think that's cool or whatever.

Serve chilled with Provigil and an epipen filled with Armour Thyroid.

Both of these recipes have a lower alcohol content than Hillary's actual tears

11 So: When Hillary loses, and the weeping and wailing becomes outrageous, it would be well to remember ancient Jewish custom of paid mourners who would walk behind the corpse and wail like their own spouse had just died.

Then they went home and drank a lot of wine, counting their shekels.

Who, really, will be upset that Hillary loses? Besides the people she owes money too, of course?

I mean, there are very few times it's okay for a grown man to cry. Especially in public.

Maybe a few tears at a close family members funeral.

Maybe a little sob when his dog dies.

Maybe a quick pity party cry when his canoe flips and all of his guns disappear in to the murky water.

But that's about it. I don't trust a man who regularly cries over bullshit.

112 Crazy cocktail trivia:

Prior to the popularization of the concept of "the cocktail" in the late 19th-century, almost all "mixed drinks" were made in large bowls and then ladled out to individual cups -- in contrast to "cocktails," which are each made individually in glasses.

The name for the communal alcoholic drink, especially in the 17th and 18th centuries, was "punch." Punch was always alcoholic back then; the concept of non-achoholic "punch for children" was only invented after WWII, which is why most people these days think punch is a kids' drink.

But here's the interesting part:

True "punch" always have FIVE ingredient categories:

a hard liquor
something sweet
something sour
a flavored liqueur
spices

And in fact, the very word "punch" comes from Sanskrit "panch- which means "five" -- same root as "pent-" (e.g. "pentagram") in all Indo-European languages!

7 days ago:

The Democratic National Committee asked a judge to block the Republican Party from supporting efforts to discourage minorities from voting based on Donald Trump's claims that the presidential election is "rigged."

In a preemptive strike against what it called a coordinated effort to intimidate voters, the Democratic Party's governing body alleged Wednesday that the Republican National Committee is violating a court order in a case that started 35 years ago.

The RNC is supporting Trump's recruitment of so-called watchers at polling places, which is in breach of consent decrees going back to 1982 that forbid the group from engaging in ballot-security measures, according to a filing in federal court in Newark, New Jersey. The DNC said the watchers are really intended to deter registered voters from casting ballots.

"The filing is completely meritless," said Lindsay Walters, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee. "Just as in all prior elections in which the consent decree was in effect, the RNC strictly abides by the consent decree and does not take part directly or indirectly in any efforts to prevent or remedy vote fraud. Nor do we coordinate with the Trump campaign or any other campaign or party organization in any efforts they may make in this area."

Smuggle out as many oranges as you can from the mess hall - peel and throw the fruit part at your cell mates

Next, smuggle out 2 cans of fruit cocktail. This is a high priced commodity so you may have to sexually gratify a guard to get it back to your cell.

Combine the orange peels, fruit cocktail, sugar cubes, ketchup, and pieces of bread in a plastic bag and mash it all about. Close the bag first idiot.

Put the bag in the toilet, pour warm water over it (helps the fermentation process) and cover toilet seat with a towel. Note: for God's sake, don't forget to remove the bag when you have to No. 1 or No. 2.

Repeat the warm water over the bag for 5-7 days. Strain the contents and voila! You have Hillary's prison hooch that will send you to the moon and back.

As someone who does business in Russia, travels to Moscow, has close friends that are Russian, hosts Russians when they come to the U.S. and who understands that most Russians don't want to return to a communist way of life, I would like to take this opportunity to thank their hackers for stealing the emails they did.

If this was done under the orders of Vladimir Putin, he deserves a great deal of credit.

It should be the position of every American to acknowledge the service these Russian hackers have done for our country and to invite them to continue using every avenue they can find to obtain and expose all corruption in our government.

We pledge to return the favor and help hack and publish anything that will help end the corruption and self dealing in the Russian government.

By keeping each other transparent, both countries will benefit from honest government.

Trump went to VA yesterday and is planning more stops.

The VA Conservative Watchdog group reported that McAuliffe had one million extra provisional ballots ordered and delivered .

"Virginia Department of Elections is overpreparing for worst-case

"In 2012, Fairfax used 2,500 provisional ballots. In 2016, they received over 265,000. This is ridiculous."

Hillary's Bitter Tears

1 oz vodka (Use Tito's - it's from Texas*)
1 oz Campari
2 ozs blood orange juice
1 ounce grapefruit juice.
2 dashes of Angostura bitters

Pour all ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker - using two hands, like you were wringer her hag neck, shake vigorously. Strain and serve in a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.

This drink will be slightly bitter ~ but should be quite drinkable. I will experiment this weekend and let the Horde know how it goes.

Why would the RNC ever consent to such a thing? A consent degree is a "we don't want to go to trial, nor do we want to admit liability/guilt, so we consent to x"

And why the fuck wouldn't they violate that and then appeal their contempt of court and get in front of an appellate court? You know, at some point in the last 30 years.

415 Publius Redux, you're on the right track -- let's come up with something drinkable here. So that we have something with which to toast the evening of the 8th, no matter what the outcome.

I like the idea of Campari, for bitterness. But this recipe (at OregonMuse's comment 196) seems a little light on spirit.

Let's stick with a bitter profile. Doesn't the old twat like bourbon? Here's a starting point for an idea:

2 parts bourbon (Woodford, maybe)
1 part Campari
0.5 parts...maybe ruby port. I'll have to think about this one.
2 dashes aromatic bitters
2 dashes orange bitters

Stir with ice, strain into chilled coupe, garnish with lemon twist.

Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison'd entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone

Boil thou first i' the charmed pot....

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and owlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,

How did FDR get away w/ not throwing out the first pitch? I'm pretty sure it was a tradition by then. And Obama has done it what, once and not made it to the plate?

490 I like Zombie's recipe, except I'd replace with bathtub gin, which is (1) stronger and (2) not taxed.

491 I know sad, awful stories from friends who lost the plans and doctors they loved, and are paying out the ass for the "Affordable Care Act."

We didn't go on "Affordable" CA but kept our own, grandfathered in and kept our high deductible w/ BC/BS. It has skyrocketed since ACA. Come Jan. we will go up to over $1500/month.

We would have to drop it as we simply can't afford it. That's w/ a $3500 deductible and about $13,000 stop loss.

Fortunately we can can go on Jules' state retirement ins. this month. We'll pay 20% as she retired early, but it's better than the alternative.
