More Emails: Hillary's Team Answers Why Hillary Tried to Hide Her Secret Server Instead of Revealing it Long Before the Election: "Because They Wanted to Get Away With It"

Wow, you'd almost think they were discussing a federal crime here.

"Speaking of transparency, our friends Kendall, Cheryl and Phillipe sure weren’t forthcoming on the facts here," Podesta says in another email to Tanden. He is referring to Hillary’s attorneys David Kendall and Cheryl Mills and also to Philipe Reines but it's not clear if he is talking about them not giving much information to the NY Times or about some private exchange. Perhaps expecting how Tanden might respond Podesta adds, "Don’t be mean."

A few minutes later, Tanden replies, "This is a cheryl special. Know you love her, but this stuff is like her Achilles heal. Or kryptonite. she just can’t say no to this s**t." She continues, "Why didn’t they get this stuff out like 18 months ago? So crazy."

Podesta replies, "Unbelievable."

And then Tanden sends a response answering her own question. "I guess I know the answer," she writes, "they wanted to get away with it."

As Sexton notes, the "they wanted to get away with it" refers to Hillary's Star Chamber of very close fixers and enablers. But of course the statement that Cheryl Mills "can't say no to this s**t" can only mean she can't refuse Hillary's requests to help her break the law -- who else could give Mills orders to break the law except for her alleged law client?

28 In all seriousness, I think what gets me about all these reveals is how unsurprised I am. Even though I'm principally outraged, I have very little emotional response to them anymore. I'm beyond disgust, beyond rage about it. I've come to feel that I'm living in some world that some how has two universes playing out at the same time. The people that excuse Hillary and cover for her and hate me for wanting it exposed live in one world, and I live in another. We share physical space, but there's some metaphysical boundary that separates me from these people. This whole damn election has been so fucking surreal I can't even begin to describe it. It's as if starting a year ago there was some glitch in my brain and I've entered some dream dimension.

44 I posted this just now in the last thread, but I started typing before it got bumped, so I figure I'll throw it out there again.

I don't know where this belongs so I might as well post here.

Anecdotal stuff, I know is whatever you make of it, but i'm curious if anyone has similar experience. I know the early voting stuff doesn't look great thus far, but make of it what you will.

I feel like something has broken in the last 24 - 48 hours. I don't know if it's the 11th accuser and the media pushing these accusations too far, or just general sense that you are being sold a bill of good by the media, but something just broke.

I have had reliable and great conversations on the election with outside of my immediate family and spouse, 3 people. 1) a hard core Bernie supporter that went all in for Stein, 2) a feminist female engineer, that is supporting Johnson. and 3) a conservative reliable republican, with a libertarian streak, that voted for Cruz in the primaries, and just early voted for Trump. his wife is a Mexican immigrant who was #nevertrump and decided at the last minute to vote for Trump to stop Hillary.

The Johnson supporter seems to be having an existential crisis. She can't see voting for Trump because of the issues e has with women, but I can see cracks, I can tell that she is seeing the waste of her vote, and Clinton/Media machine needs to be stopped. I promised her 16 months ago when I outed myself as a Trump supporter and she didn't understand because "I'm smarter than that" that I wouldn't ever tell her to vote for him. I'm curious though, that over the next two weeks if maybe she comes to it organically just based on what she's seeing in the media.

Stein supporter is full on secret Trump voter, as are his kids and wife, who were all big Bernie/Stein people up til now. Will still promote Stein on social media, and he is a prolific poster for his sphere of influence, but he's all in for Trump on the down low in hopes something kooky happens. They all hate Clinton with the fire of 1000 suns, and think she is a secret conservative republican... so you figure that out.

I saw the same cracks with my friends nevertrump wife that I see with the Johnson supporter a few weeks ago, we watched the second debate with them, and she was pissed, saw crack forming, early voting the other day, she went for Trump... and she must have had a bag of clothespins on her nose to do it.

So I'm curious to see how this plays out. I'm not one for the rigged polling conspiracies, I've been there before in the past.... I've been wrong before. they are what they are, but I have a sense the ground is seismically shifting, and the usual assholes don't see it, or don't want to see it. The Titanic is unsinkable afterall.

I found it absolutely incredible that I was given these three data points within a few hours... now the Bernie guy, I knew he was rooting for Trump, but he had previously stated he'd only vote for him if it was close... in NJ. Well it's likely not close here.

The Johnson one, also, it was like she's trying to say "I'm looking for a reason to get over my issues with the guy, but haven't found one yet.. but I'm open to suggestion" She previously suggested a vote for HRC if it was close in CT... it's not likely close in CT.

I had them both messaging me within a half hour today, crazy. Then I took a stab at asking my buddy if he knew how is wife voted, and he replied in the affirmative, with the third data point.

She's a good Christian woman, Pentacostal, and can't imagine a situation where she would take the life of anyone. I told her - look around. I've got three grandbabies here. We're out in the woods. Something happens and I go down, it's your responsibility to save these children. She's like me - ready to go and be with the Lord. But if the Lord says "take care of my sheep", you best be taking care of those sheep.

In my ultra-ultra-ultra left-wing neighborhood, I have seen ZERO Trump signs. That's the bad news.

The good news? I have thus far only seen TWO Hillary signs, and I am constantly out and about patrolling for evidence of political opinion. In contrast the the two Hillary signs, I have seen about 450 surviving "Bernie" signs, and maybe 5 Jill Stein signs. And, approximately, 3,000 "Obama 2008" signs, now faded.

So, around here in liberal-land, Hillary is indeed stomping Trump, but the enthusiasm level for her is bordering on zero.

At this point in the election, in 2012, Romney held a single day lead in the RCP poll average of .4 points.
Obama took a small lead, then Romney went up .1 four days before the election.
Then, Obama took the lead and the win.

But--sitting President, historical reelection, black--and Obama never, NEVER had anything but a .7 lead after the conventions.

But, Hillary--beloved Hillary? She sits at a MASSIVE 5.1 advantage right now!!

171 @85

The democrats have always been able to overcome the enthusiasm gap with straight up voter fraude.

They've litterally conjured up car trunks full of ballots and the GOP just kicks the dirt and says aw shucks.

That's why the left started weeks ago to trying to get Trump to say he would concede.

They know they have to turn the dials to 11 to get the FAB the result she needs and they also know that Donald is going to litigate the shit out of the crooked results.

347 IC to add to your portrait of CA, the "middle class" that's emerging is largely made up of over-paid, vastly over-compensated govt. employees. They were always part of the middle class, but the lower end of it, and the smaller part of it - the larger part being made up of small business people and skilled trades.

And of course, as elsewhere - though worse here - small manufacturing, which was a bulwark of the middle class (both owners and workers), has been squeezed down tremendously. Mostly due to onerous "environmental" and labor regulation.

VDH has outlined these trends pretty well over the past few years.

And I wouldn't attribute the political sea change mostly to illegals (or even their amnestied forebears). Not sure what explains all of it, but some elements are the virtual end of the aerospace/defense sectors, far smaller #s of military personnel, the sometimes paradoxical political behavior of legal immigrants (esp. Asians), and the growing impact of America's great dumbing down (via "education").

In coding there's a simple technique called a sanity check. You may not know the value your code should return, but you do know the range of possible values. If your result falls outside that range of sanity then there's something wrong.

Polls have been failing their sanity checks. Either the inputs are garbage, the methodology is garbage, or they're fraudulent.

449 Years and years of programming, either through the boob tube or our soviet education system have led us to this moment in history. Let's call it the, 'Ow, my balls' moment in glorious reference to Idiocricy.

We are literally at a time in history where YOUR team winning is more important than anything else. You'll overlook crime and crook in order to see YOUR team cross the finish line first. That's all that matters.

Nothing else can explain the cognitive dissonance of liberals. Their hypocrisy isn't obvious to them, because they are overwhelmed with a need to defeat the other guy, by hook or by crook.

So, rule of law is over. If tomorrow one agent of the FBI had the balls to stand up and say she should be arrested, I could be knocked over with a feather. But I doubt that happens. Instead, we will collectively stick our heads in the sand as criminals commit crimes and our defenders of the law turn the other way. In shame, I hope.

Get the license, it's really not that hard. You'll want a General class, so that's two written tests that you'll have to pass. The General class gives you useful HF privileges. Protip: Yes, your name and mailing address is tied to your callsign and is in a publicly accessible database; however, the key component is "mailing address". While you do have to list a "primary operating" location with the FCC, that doesn't get into the public database, so people that don't want their address out there use a PO Box for their license address.

There is a whole area of the ham radio hobby devoted to light weight and low powered portable setups. An interesting application is using 5w handheld transceivers (available on Amazon for about $30) and low earth orbit amateur satellites as repeaters, extending the range of the low power handheld from a dozen or so miles to many hundreds or even thousands of miles. Not good for extended conversations because of the short time the satellites are above the horizon.

Why does Joe Bob feel the need to follow the rule of law anymore, when the rich and powerful don't have to? He might just decide it's time to start allowing his inner criminal to have a field day, buoyed be the idea that his defense will be that Hillary gets away with it.

That's fine on a small scale, but like an atom splitting, it can get out of hand in a hurry.

That's a little tricky. The regs say that you can't "broadcast"...your usage is limited to two way communication. However, there are exceptions. One is in Part 97.111 (4) Transmissions necessary to providing emergency communications and (6) Transmissions necessary to disseminate information bulletins.

Can you run your own little radio station playing the best of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and today? No (you're not allowed to transmit music).

Now you could get a commercial license and do that, but you're going to need deep pockets.

HF = High Frequency, aka Shortwave

VHF = Very High Frequency, usually thought of as the area where FM broadcast radio and tv resides, also some public services, etc.

UHF = Ultra High Frequency, Broadcast TV, public services, the "Walky Talkies" you can get from Wally World and outdoor stores, etc.

Posted by: Country Singer (gab @BertG) at October 25, 2016 07:57 PM (GUBah)

489 I did a paper in school once on the value of Capital Punishment. My argument was simple. With no fear of the punishment, people would continue to commit the crime. It's a simple premise that was hard for most college aged students to overcome.

People who have not, want. They will take what they want if they do not fear consequence. Without consequence, we would all jump off Mt Everest for shits and giggles. But gravity is a consequence and broken bones from immediate stops makes us think twice of foolish actions.

Murder, as you'd imagine, is a crime some people severely wish to commit. They have a hate for someone and wish they could manifest that hate in ending the other person's life. But they don't. Because the idea of getting killed by Joe, the Executioner, was meant to stop them from getting beyond the point of seething rage. But then liberals started fighting for an end to the death penalty.

Like the children they are, they cannot fathom why it's necessary to end someone's life, painfully in order to keep order in society. They fucked it all up with talk of feelings and being humane, even though the murderers never followed such childish notions.

So again, rule of law and fear of consequence are powerful motivators. Both of which have now been kneecapped by the people in charge. As Hans said in Die Hard, 'Ladies and Gentleman, I give you the F. B. I.'

They know not what they have done.

507 Willow, the story is that Braverman is like the guy Project Veritas sends to get undercover videos of Planned Parenthood and the democrat dirty tricks brigade, except Wikileaks sent him and he got into (fairly high up) the Clinton Foundation.

I don't know how much of that is true, but that's what is being discussed.

509

There were huge conflicts of interest at the Clinton Foundation, and they needed to do an audit

Chelsea hires Braverman to clean up the mess. So he knows things, like their dirty laundry

There were leaks to the NYT and the WaPo about issues at the foundation

Fast forward. Podestas emails are being leaked. In one of them, Podesta says he thinks Braverman is the leak, a mole

MacFayden dies of cancer. And Braverman runs to the Russian Embassy and asks for asylum. People are wondering why a man with those connections would do that

Posted by: ThunderB at October 25, 2016 08:06 PM (+GOlG)

510 A guy who supported Wikileaks died of cancer on Oct 22.

Wikileaks released an email today, John Podesta called Eric Braverman a mole in the Clinton Foundation (he was CEO for a few months)

Eric Braverman is rumored to be seeking asylum at the Russian Embassy so he doesn't end up dead like Anton Scalia or Seth Rich (DNC Party apparatchik dead on a street, shot in the head)...

Posted by: willow at October 25, 2016 08:07 PM (R7cwD)

515 Not a baseball person. Willow if I follow this Braverman may have been a "mole" that fed Clinton foundation info to wikileaks. Considering Hillary's IT record *I* think a hacker could have got in w/o any insider help.

Regardless, Braverman knows he is suspected of being the mole and I'll guess that he also knows more than has been leaked so far so he was in fear that the Arkansas mafia would kill him now, apparently thinking that MacFayden is dead and can no longer be the failsafe to publish information Braverman may have.

The problem with the basic foxhole radio is that it has no selectivity (tuning capability) and basically gives you the strongest (usually nearest) AM (Amplitude Modulated) station with a lot of background noise/interference. But they do work and it's a rather neat experiment to try!

518 HF = High Frequency, aka Shortwave

VHF = Very High Frequency, usually thought of as the area where FM broadcast radio and tv resides, also some public services, etc.

UHF = Ultra High Frequency, Broadcast TV, public services, the "Walky Talkies" you can get from Wally World and outdoor stores, etc.

522 My foxhole radio got me to thinking. If something that simple can detect radio waves and translate them into sound who's to say that couldn't happen at random, like that time Gilligan got hit by a coconut and turned into a radio?

Just a simple arrangement of wires and bits of metal can miraculously pick up something generated miles away. Could people also be sensitive to radio waves at different frequencies in a way that's not understood? Is that how ESP could work? Are people who say they are sensitive to RF really not crazy?

Exactly, but rectifiers have no tuning capability (although you could act external circuitry) and give you the rectified value of incoming signals dominated by the strongest Amplitude Modulated signal (the headphones do act as an audio level filter). They will not let you listen to an FM (Frequency Modulated) station.
