Obamacare Premiums Surging By Double Digits... Again

Surprise surprise.

They'll be going up an average of 25%. Some will see hikes lower than that, but many will see hikes higher.

Last week, President Shits and Giggles said that Obamacare was like a cellphone -- if there are problems, you fix them. You just don't pull it off the market.

Unless, he said, realizing the latest news, your phone is on fire. Then you do pull it off the market.

Hey asshole:

Your phone is on fire.

Plus OT: Photographic evidence of voting machines changing votes AND email released explicitly showing conspiracy to undermine the Benghazi hearings.

16 There are also a lot of second order adverse effects from ObamaCare.

e.g., it can present a Big Toll on starting a new small business, often prohibitively so.

Note that in much of the country, especially in flyover states, the per capita expense of healthcare is more than housing and is the largest expense per person.

But it'll improve when we add millions of Illegals to the plans. We'll make it up in volume.

I posted this in the thread below:

I couldn't resist calling in a response (which I'm sure our lib paper won't print).

"To the person complaining about her 67% increase in Obamacare premiums on Ronald Reagan, the mental gymnastics you performed to come up with that conclusion were breathtaking. I hope you didn't hurt your brain."

And, as I said in the previous thread, the only people who will care about this and damn the Democrat scum who forced it down the country's throat are the Horde and those like us.

For the rest of the lo-fo mofos, the hikes will be blamed on the greedy insurance companies (big business, therefore Rethuglican, therefore Trump) or on a racist GOP who hate poor people (therefore Trump).

The Dems have spun this too successfully as "caring for those who've fallen through the safety net" while the nickelfuckers in the GOP stand around with their thumbs up their asses hoping president Hillary will put a stake through Trump and his army of flaggot meth-heads.

I'll have to go through my plan with a fine tooth comb but IIRC, there's a base $6,000 minimum deductible and that may go all the way up to $15,000 for major stuff.

Our copays doubled and the premium increase was around 25% as well.

So. In effect I now have the very same high deductible high copay plan that I was told was an abomination and must be eliminated.

The Limbaugh Theorem in action. Somehow the Dems are able to dissassociate themselves from their clusterf*ucks, and campaign against them, which explains Obama's approval rating.

99 "The timing for this is pretty bad for the Dems because folks are going

to be even more motivated to vote for the guy who is saying he is going

to get rid of Obamacare (at least that is my hope)."

Most of the LIV's and Dem base will blame it on greedy insurance companies and by extension big business which means Republicans. So Trumps fault. Some of the brighter ones might figure who is screwing them.

100 My insurance premiums doubled every year up until I went on Medicare. And now my Supplement Premiums are going up every year as well as what they deduct from my SS payouts every month.

My grandson was just diagnosed with a bone-spur in his shoulder which they said could also be cancerous. They sent him down to MUSC in Charleston. We got some good news from there yesterday. They are farily sure that it is not cancerous but they still have to operte to remove it and then they can run a biopsy and get confirmation. And he has not been covered by any insurance since he was 18. When working he has simply paid the IRS penalty.

Wifey wanted to get involved and give him a few thousand dollars. I laughed at her. I asked her had she cecked what our real medical bills were BEFORE insurance. When I told her my hospital charges for the heart attack alone was over $200,000. She thought better of getting involved. I told her that was the worst thing we could do as it may impact him getting Medicaid that our taxes are paying for.

Trump should shift gears to change and how Hillary is more of the same, I believe. Leave the rest of the stuff he's said behind and give people a clear choice:

-more of what people dislike, fear, and are uncomfortable with; more unemployment, more radical leftist social engineering, more foreign policy incompetence, more government meddling in your life, more failure, stupidity, and insanity.
-move away from it with something new.

Because if there's one thing nearly every American agrees with, its that what the government has been doing is clearly not right.

Blow me, respectfully.

Fuck the polls, for reasons already posted.

Romney lost FL by 1%, OH by 3%, and PA by 5%. He won NC by 2%. The FL, OH and PA numbers had some measure of fraud baked in because of shenanigans in D-controlled cities like Miami, Cleveland and Philly.

All of these states have a lot of rednecks who didn't come out for Romney, who will come out for Trump. (I consider myself an inner city redneck).

So tell me how Trump loses these states.

Trump has also put a few other states into play like Iowa.

Hillary may actually need PA more than Trump.

So how does Trump lose? College educated whites defect more than new rednecks show up? Possible, but not likely, because there are a lot more rednecks including in the swing states (by nearly 3x). Hillary cheats more than Obama? Possible, but it'd have to be so large as to be obvious, no?

So how does Hillary lose? Her turnout is less than Obama's. Probable.

========================

My businesses medical insurance costs have doubled in the past five years, just in premiums alone. That's not inflation, that's corruption and government meddling.

Outside of premiums my employees have seen their own costs absolutely skyrocket, in deductibles and co-pays. When government dictates what's in the coverages and who can sell insurance, crazy price inflation is just plain obviously going to happen.

Soon it won't matter, as small companies will (I believe) not offer health insurance or do so only as a buying coop for employees. Already, with individual pricing, it doesn't matter if our census has x participants or y, so offering employees insurance at their cost is a real probability. In that case, we would probably make a fixed payment to each employee to help in their insurance purchase and continue to offer an HSA match and a Section 125 plan, to cut the agony, if they remain legal.

What could be more grotesquely stupid than the Clinton-Trump coverage? As for Brexit, the result was magnificent, but it is not accepted by the BBC or Sky News because they object to a public that cannot be hypnotised by BBC or Sky nonsense. A candidate who lets his people be dragged out of their houses in no-knock "John Doe" raids and says fuck-all and does fuck-all to stop it is, likewise, goddamned not perfect.

254 I've said I would repeat this as often as possible, so here I am.
2006 my spouse was out of a job. We bought our own policy rather than pay astronomical prices for COBRA. I paid $484.00 per month with a $1500 deductible and RX coverage after $250.
I paid this until 2011. When Ocare PASSED, my plan went up to $632/month. I could not afford that increase as I was self-employed and trying to grow our business. I canceled the insurance. In 2012 instead of dropping, it increased again to $841/month. No go. THEN, in 2013, I was going to have to pay $1632 per month with a 6500 deductible, no RX increased copays for ER and office visits. No go, again. Now, we're not employed for the last year, but, my premium is $1800/month, $6500 deductible before ANYTHING is covered and no RX. It amounts to 30K per year. And now, in NC, there was no exchange, and only 1 insurer left--- and the new rate increase is a minimum of 20% up to 30%. Calculate that out. Around 2250 per month...that is equal to two mortgages or one --depending on your salary. FY Obama, And FY again as IF you had nothing to do with it.

290 Just a thought re: electronic voting machines.
You know the ones housed in what used to maybe be 'space invaders' or another pub video game.

I think we've heard this in previous elections but say 'nay-nay' to just doing the top level straight party affiliation. That's seems to be the obvious flip-it-all tactic and makes sense since software people can be lazy like that.

So, what to do? Run down through the various pages voting or abstaining (which I do down-ticket sometimes) as appropriate (see also referendums(?)) but then upon review or just go back to some random page and re-select something.

Finally, do a full review before you do push the nuke button.

Not sure that helps, but then again, slimy software 'engineers' gall me and I know they don't revere the art of software as I do.

Two cents and sorry for OT. And the last two lines of the lead says Ace is, maybe, going to have a TREE-MENDOUS day of movie critiques, etc.

I think Obama is a lying liar who lies, but I gotta be a little skeptical on this one - for years, my email application auto-completes email addresses wherever possible, and all I see is their names. When they get an email from me, all it shows them is my name.

In fact, I've sent lots of work emails from my personal address accidentally, and people have responded, often without either of us realizing that I had accidentally used my personal email address instead of the work email address - I do consulting so my "work" address is changing constantly.

Anyway, this looks horrible, and good!, but I can see how POTUS may have emailed Clinton and never realized he was emailing a non .gov address, but then again I haven't seen what email app they use at the White House.

Lol jk. "It might embarrass POTUS USED to not be a legal defense.

Still, I feel like the left has been trolling us for a while. Obama is the troll president. He's perfectly happy to let the right wrap itself up over a birth certificate forEVER and then, eventually, very late, produce one. It happens again and again with this admin - someone detects shenanigans and instead of correcting a misunderstanding immediately they'd rather give us enough rope so we look foolish to LIVs when they eventually produce a plausible alibi.

So whenever I see a smoking gun I worry that it's actually a booby trap. That's all.

357 On vote changing machines:

The really concerning thing is instead when the machine displays to you all of the selections you made, and you agree that they're all the correct ones, and you authorize the filing of the ballot.

Then the machine silently and invisibly changes your selections without informing you on the display, before it actually formally records your ballot. You walk away none the wiser, thinking, hey, these things aren't that bad after all.

This is utterly technically trivial to accomplish if the machine has been compromised.

Well the wellness plan portion of the PPACA/ObamaCare/HillaryCare is, get this it's funny, discriminatory against older workers. Since it seems since you participate in a wellness programs and don't meet set guidelines (like BMI, cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, and other items that are affected by age as well as diet+exercise) then your premiums go up. That is until you can prove after a certain set time limit defined by HHS that your actions have reduced those numbers below the pre-actionable date.

Well some items can't be fixed once the damage is occurred and instead you work to prevent the premium increase again and again.

It's infuriating, isn't it? Why does he want to move to AZ? Seems like a nice place, lower taxes, less regulation, etc.

But the instant he gets there, he'll vote for programs etc. that result in higher taxes and more regulation, never making the connection.

438 But hey the GOP voted to repeal it 57 times.

I caught on that they were not serious after about #42
Posted by: Yo! at October 25, 2016 12:32 PM (GwIKd)

So, what were they supposed to do? Seriously, folks, I don't mind the anger at the Republicans for a lot of things, but this one really is a head scratcher for me.

The House sent a bill to repeal Obamacare to the Senate at somewhere around 50 plus separate attempts. Finally , one of those bills managed to get through the Senate and onto Obama's desk, where it was promptly vetoed. It went back to the Senate, where it didn't have the required number of votes (which required Democrats to join in) to repeal it.

None, as in Zero, Republicans voted to approve Obamacare. If you all remember, it took lots of bribery at midnight to get that lone Michigan Democrat , whose vote was needed to push it over the threshold to pass , to vote for it. To get his vote, he was promised that zero money was in the bill earmarked for abortion. Which was a lie, but being a dishonest Democrat, he repeated the lie for weeks.

Bart Stupak continued to defend his vote for this bill even in 2014, in an interview with Neil Cavuto, when all the problems with Obamacare were being revealed as truly evident. Stupak claimed the health care should be a RIGHT in this country, just like all the other communists that make up the Democrat party.

He was so unpopular in his district after that vote, that he ended up not running for the seat again, and said he could no longer go out to eat in restaurants, etc. in his district because of the personal attacks he was encountering everywhere he went.

What is Bart Stupak doing now? He's a visiting fellow to the Harvard's "Institute of Politics". Where he is warmly welcomed and treated as a scholar.

Obamacare went through the federal court system as being unconstitutional regarding forcing states to participate, etc. It was a clear cut case as far as what, I think 27 state AG saw. But who saved it?
John Roberts, calling the Obamacare forced participation a "tax" instead of a penalty, the exact word that was written in the legislation. Roberts said, oh, that wasn't what the Democrats "intended". Just like Hillary didn't "intend' to divulge secrets on her server set up.

We currently have an extremely corrupt government at all levels , so blaming Obamacare on the Republicans not repealing it by those on the right just boggles my mind.
