Military Upset With Brain-Damaged, Absent-Minded Old Woman's Disclosure of US Nuclear Response Times

But Trump said pussy!

CNN's Barbara Starr reported Thursday that the U.S. military is unhappy with Hillary Clinton discussing nuclear weapon launch times during Wednesday night’s presidential debate, calling such information "extremely classified."

...

Starr reported that the Pentagon would not officially comment on Clinton's remarks since they occurred during a political campaign. However, many officials who spoke to Starr off-camera said they were not happy with Clinton's comments due to the secure nature of what she was discussing.

"We went to the military this morning and asked them. A military spokesman told us that they do not discuss operational timelines for launching nuclear weapons," Starr said. "This is some of the most classified information. I asked Defense Secretary Ash Carter at a press conference earlier today. He declined to answer the question because it involved politics."

Hillary's team claimed there are "open source" news articles "discussing" this, though those would of course be speculation in the press, not confirmation from someone in a position to know the actual fact of the matter.

But definitely, let's trust this woman's judgment.

18 There's a Hillary ad with a similar theme, a retired nuclear-button-pushing guy who says that when the order comes from the President he has no choice but to push the button.

I would think there'd have to be some other chain of command input, like yes you push the button but only if the generals have already raised the state of alert or something.

Forms acknowledging the briefing? She never received those forms. Had she known there were forms, certainly, she would have signed them. Why wouldn't she? Look at all the other forms she signed, like all those authorizations to dispense cash to terrorist orgs and donors and such. Hillary is not afraid to sign things! What, do you think that because she's a woman that she doesn't know how to sign stuff? Sexist!

Besides, does "classified" really mean? It's really nothing more than an arbitrary decision made by underlings out of an abundance of caution and, as Secretary of State, she could decided if something needed to be classified or not. So really, if she spoke it out loud then it must not be classified.

Of course, none of this gets decided by who donates what to the CGI.

Well ... SH is here. Let's just ask him.

Its a pretty harsh comment to label all non-Trump backers with. But I've come to accept that on this board right now, there is nothing really to be gained from trying to explain my position. I'm not trying to sway anyone from voting for Trump. I get it. I think Hillary is awful. And I am certainly not one of these people who think everything Trump does is bad. I've agreed with a lot of his political moves - starting from the beginning and refusing to answer the stupid pledge question.

But look I'm in the minority around here. I don't see much of Red or CJ anymore. I may be a prick at times, but I'm a pretty conscientious voter. I don't subscribe to the if I don't vote for Trump I'm voting for Hillary argument.

I mean, if Jeb had been the nominee, I'd have been in that boat. As much as I don't want Hillary to win I just could not support Jeb Bush, never. Kasich, any of those GOPe squish guys. I tried to support Romney but I just can't do it again.

Everyone laughs (at whatever the R is doing, or saying, or once said, or was reputed once to have said) because everyone's supposed to laugh, except the "sucker" who doesn't know the joke.

Except all those laughing, who "know" the correct positions and all the accepted virtue signals don't realize that their point is a non sequitur, and they are only following the social imperative: don't be ostracized, stay with the herd.

338 How do we keep losing to Democrats?

Two reasons:

1. Democrats are far better at politics than we are.
2. Republicans are pussies who run for cover at the first sign of trouble.

There is no mystery here. We keep losing because we are inferior and we never fight. Until now. But only some of us.

3.

Donald Trump can then settle in as the ring master, sort of apprentice / American idol for candidates in 2020.

So 2020 there could be a candidate that Trump picks on a TV show, along with call in votes of course...running against Ryan/Rubio and Hillary/Michelle. Or Trump's children will run for the office.

Then we really do have the 1860 election!

355 We're also seeing a change in the meta-game of elections. Yes, character does matter. But in the last election, the GOP ran the political equivalent of a boy scout. A clean milquetoast boy scout with sterling character traits.

Was the GOP rewarded for this? No. The media dragged up stories from Romney's high school days (HIGH SCHOOL!) to claim that he was a bully. They turned a legitimate effort to promote/employ more women candidates into a slur ("Binders of Women!"). Romney got dragged through the mud even though he had nothing in his background compared to the current candidates.

Its understandable why a major faction of the GOP now says "Fuck you. We'll take Trump."

I disagree, I say that you should try to stop Hillary with whatever tools you have -- some people live in states their vote is irrelevant if they aren't the Democrat, but if you can make a difference, you have the moral duty to fight.

But I'm not going to hate people for holding that position or cast them out like some horrendous heretic that must burn. We've got a long, hard fight ahead of us. We need to work together, fight side by side, even if some of us are more annoying.

398 People are understandably wary (to put it mildly) of Trump because of his personality and penchant for saying what he thinks. ... Long ago I was as USAF fighter pilot and had the misfortune to be doing an airshow when President Carter showed up because the SR-71 was also going to be there. My wing and I happened to be parked next to the SR-71 who taxied in a bit after us. We we waiting for a crew truck to take us to VOQ (visiting officer's quarters) when The Limos came toward us and parked in front of the Blackbird. Our crew truck was stuck somewhere and not allowed in, so we decided to go get in line with the Blackbird crew (crap ton of people in addition to the pilot and RSO (Recon Specialist Officer) and shake hands with "The President".

From where we were standing we could hear some discussions in the the POTUS mobile as the door was open. Carter was swearing a blue streak because it was so hot outside and there were not enough reporters/cameras there. My guess is that the dog/pony show was to bolster his image as being strong on defense... Anyway, we were truly shocked. Carter was a preacher (at least that was my understanding).

That and Clinton's blowjob blew (pun intended) my image of not just POTUS, but all politicians. They have an awful reputation these days because they earned it and then some.

Point is once the election is over if Hillary wins, a *lot* of genuine Americans who hated Trump, will be begging for him. As they say, Trump says bad things, but Hillary will gut you like a pig.. I means "does bad things".
