Wow: Leaked Email Shows Huma Abedin Admitting That Hillary Clinton's Morocco Trip was a Pay-for-Play for a $12 Million Donation, and that Hillary "Created This Mess and She Knows It"

But we'll get to tell our Department Heads that we don't "own" her otherwise.The email from Huma Abedin, Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff at the State Department, was addressed to Podesta and campaign manager Robby Mook. Hillary Clinton was a director of the foundation at the time. Singapore and Hong Kong officials reportedly were also vying to convene the CGI meeting in their countries, but the North African nation ultimately hosted it in a five-star hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco, in 2015. Abedin told Podesta and Mook that Morocco was not CGI's "first choice." [CGI = Clinton Global Initiative -- ace]Hillary wound up not going to the event, even after cadging so much money out of the King of Morcco and this shading mining company; but she did send her ex-president rapist husband and charmless daughter.
The actual meeting was paid for by OCP, the Moroccan-government-owned mining company that has been accused of serious human rights violations. Clinton vigorously supported the Moroccan King when she was Secretary of State and the U.S.-financed Export-Import Bank gave OCP a $92 million loan guarantee during her tenure as Secretary of State. The mining company also contributed between $5 million to $10 million to the Clinton Foundation, according to the charity’s web site. Abedin described the arrangement in the email as having been organized by her boss. Hillary Clinton "created this mess and she knows it," she told Podesta and Mook. She said the Moroccan deal was entirely dreamed up by her boss. "This was HRC's idea, our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approx. $12 million both for the endowment and to support the meeting." HRC stands for Hillary Rodham Clinton.
... The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice charged OCP with "serious human rights violations," including exploitation of workers by not "adequately compensating the impoverished people who live there."

--Yes, the releases seem to be coordinated by wikileaks people outside the embassy. The tone and frequency of the wikileaks tweets also indicates that its being run by someone else. Some speculation that uploading onto wikileaks (i.e., information from leakers) has been compromised.
I don't think that the DDOS attack is a coincidence either, not with the releases and the highlight of obama's personal email address yesterday. But I'm not a part of this world, and am following it for entertainment as much as anything else.

The linked article does say at the end, however, that she wound up not attending because it was so close to the launch of her presidential campaign. So I think it's one of those things where technically, no conflict of interest, but they knew as we all knew that she was running for president.

As a not voting for Trump guy, I don't understand the argument against Trump for not paying taxes that he doesn't owe. Neither do I, neither does anyone. I hate the idea that a candidate must release their tax returns, so I am actually glad he pushed back on that and has held firm. I wish more would do that in the future. And I think this idea of not acknowlding a winner is just plain stupid - just as much as the pledge promise was. While I may not vote for him, I do like some of his tactics and my hope is it starts a future trend (though I doubt it will).

According to the latest Christopher/Newport University Poll reported in Real Clear Politics, their representative sample of voters in Virginia has 35% with a 4 year college degree and an additional 25% with advanced degrees, for a total of 60%.
Of course, this election cycle has a tendency for those with college degree to vote more heavily for Hillary, along with those who hold advanced degrees polling very heavily towards Hillary.

Jeb Bush was supposed to be the GOP nominee, the Annointed One. He had a $125 million campaign war chest advantage starting out. He had his father's and brother's national political connections, a vast money-and-logistics support network, a last name that still commands respect in certain quarters of the Republican Party.
The problem is/was Jeb Bush himself. Hecomes across as pudgy, wishy-washy and weak. Hillary Clinton would've eaten him alive. And the others? I think Rubio would've been competitive in the general. Walker, on the heels of his struggles in Wisconsin,wasn't ready. Cruz maybe would've had a shot(I backed Fiorina then Cruz so it's pretty to think so).

I've seen how government works, up close and personal. The waste is so enormous that it's hard to describe. All it would take to fix it is the desire.
The most telling action that drew me to Trump was the skating rink story. After New York City government fucked with it for 6 years and millions of dollars wasted, Trump took it over and had it operating in a few months, under budget.

I think elections actually tend to provide so much action for media that things get lost in the shuffle (and it's hard to get certain things noticed in the first place.). Presidents always seem to get hung up on something when stuff slows down and there's no daily action to talk about, at which point news cycles get stuck in loops. The media could not have talked about Iran Contra or Lewinsky as much if they'd broke during the reelection years instead of two years into boring gridlocked terms where nothing was happening.

I agree with bluebell-get outside tomorrow. Even if it's just a playground, make sandwiches together, grab some water bottles and a blanket, and have a picnic at the playground. If there is a church or organization having a harvest festival in your area-go!! They are usually free, and have games and facepainting!! Plus, you can get some good pictures of the kids doing fun stuff.

Can't remember how many attended but no one from the RPV showed up and made themselves known.
No one to see who was speaking, to recruit for maybe a state house seat eventually or anything like that.
