772 767 Vic, I can't help but wonder if FOX hasn't been "allowed" to exist as a sort of counterpoint to the alphabets in order to give some semblance of credibility to the fourth estate. But things are now so crucial and the election so close that they can't allow this any longer. Nothing we are witnessing is exactly what we see. There are so many layers of deception at work in this election it would be impossible to divine the truth. Posted by: creeper, the deplorable at October 20, 2016 07:20 AM (MXDw6) They have never been "conservative". But years ago when they first started they were only slightly left of center. But as the years went by the moved further and further left. When Ailes left they just gave up and became part of the alphabets. Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at October 20, 2016 07:26 AM (mpXpK) 9

Why conservatives will need a new party if/when Hillary wins
Well JJ I already had a long response for this one typed out so I am glad you addressed it. Conservatives needed a new party long before Scankles and her organized crime brigade came in. They needed a new party as soon as Reagan reached his final year in office. Bush 1 told us he would continue RR's policies and proclaimed for all to read his lips. He lied. Was he a RR Republican? Hell no, he was a NE liberal RINO/Diablo who kissed the Democrat's ass and gave them everything they wanted for which they promptly stabbed him in the back. He lasted one term but the Republican Party was back on the road to what we have now. The Rove wing of the Party took over and barely won against the worst candidate the Democrats had fielded in modern times after 8 years of the first criminal Clinton. We have never recovered from the Rove crap and it is got us where we are now, Trump. The fact is; conservatives have never had a Party. The RNCe has always hated them as far back as Goldwater. They tried their damnedest to give us RINO Rubio or Jebbie the Hutt this time. The NE money men poured out the dollars for Jebbie and he squandered them by the double handfuls as he crashed and burned from voter hatred. The primary voters did not want to see another Bush even more liberal than the last one. Cruz was the best chance the RNC had but they hate him almost as much as they hate Trump. I will never vote for another RNCe stooge. That Party is dead. Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at October 20, 2016 07:35 AM (mpXpK) 29

I thought the second debate he performed for his base, he was scrappy and didn't pull punches, and we liked it. The 3rd and last debate, I think was for any independents left out there who are still on the fence. He was calm, he seemed prepped and not at all crazy. I think that helps with the "independents" I would have preferred a MMA style cage match, but I think they made the right choice.
I thought clinton did well by not falling down, but she was off her game and seem to ramble on about weird stuff. She also looked tired and smiled and laughed at inappropriate times. Of course, all you will hear today is about how Trump didn't say for sure whether he would accept election results, good for him. I would also expect to see a fake rise in polls on Clinton's side to fit the narrative that she won. They will eventually revert back, and I wouldn't be surprised if we went into election day with a dead heat. Voter turnout wins this election IMHO. Now I must get coffee. William McCants, a senior fellow at the
Brookings Institution policy research group in Washington, said the idea of asking "the community" to get involved with stopping violent ideology implies Muslim communities are aware of who may be violent jihadists and have the responsibility to stop them. See, the word I have trouble with isn't community, it's "aware." Such a passive word, given that we know that the whole "self-radicalized" explanation is a crock - they are recruited, trained, weaponized within the community. Why do you, who live isolated from the daily dangers that face Israel, think you have the right to demand that they endanger themselves?" That's what pisses me off about liberals. Whenever they feel strongly about some "cause", they always demand that someone else pay the price.

Wrangling to keep an NFL team, in a game that is as rigged and phony as professional wrassling. Those of you who are Raiders fans, the league doesn't care about you, the owners don't care about you, and even the people who might want to keep the team in Oakland, really, don't care about you. The conservative name is one we need to drop for several reasons. First and foremost is the damage done to the brand by "conservatives" like Ryan, Boehner, and McConnell who also claim the label. We wouldn't overcome the damage they have done to it for decades. I know tradition is kind of our thing, but we seriously need to re-brand. Second is that we're not actually conservatives anymore. Conservatives fight for the status quo. We are no longer the status quo, the globalists now are. We are the outsiders. It's an obsolete and damaged label, we should be rid of it. Not the ideas, just the label. Posted by: Cato the Rebel Without a Party at October 20, 2016 07:45 AM (J+mig) Posted by: Hairy Reed at October 20, 2016 07:45 AM (J+eG2) 61
I was polled again last night at approximately 7:00pm.
Once again, it was an automated poll, with general election questions followed by demographic information. This followed the same format as the polling call I received last week, with all the republican/conservative/Trump answers first (press 1). If you don't wait to hear all the choices, you will get through the poll rather quick. Normally, this would be all well and good. However, the pollsters are using this little provision: ******************** "First, all respondents who did not finish the survey is eliminated, then anyone who finished the survey in under 4 minutes is eliminated (based on 2 standard deviations and length of survey). " ********************* As I said, it was the same order as the poll last week. All the answers for a committed right wing voter are situated so that only Trump voter's responses would be eliminated for completing the survey too quickly. Of course, this is just coincidence. I wanted Wallace to ask a question like this: "The health of a Presidential candidate is always a concern for voters. Trump will be the last Republican I ever vote for. When I say shit like that, I mean it. When Jane Fonda tried to help N. Vietnam demoralize American troops, I vowed I would never watch anything with the traitor in it. I haven't.
What this election has exposed is that our political system, to me, is nothing more than a giant scam perpetrated on the citizenry who are being produced to be unaware and compliant. There are two sides to the story and if you get your news from any of the MSM, including Fox, you are getting only one side. The side that has the emails and the videos of Americans being subverted by their betters, you aren't getting. The day before the debate, Brit Hume was on at least two programs on Fox extolling the virtues of polling and how historically accurate they are and how Trump is fucked up for saying the election (including the polls) are being rigged. This is while he was defending Fox not reporting on the videos of Clinton campaign workers bragging about rigging the election and how they have been for 50 fucking years! The story that the MFM is reporting - all of the MFM - is a totally different story than the other one that isn't being reported by the MFM. Say what you want about the provenance of the other story, but when there are clearly authentic copies and videos, I'm going with the other one. You are aware on at least a subconscious level that everything you say is bullshit, but you are driven to this level of virtue signaling to silence the little voice in your head that tells you that you are nothing to them but another useful idiot that they will dispose of when you are no longer needed. And for a moment in time we had the perfect storm in PA: GOP governor, house and senate. That's what it took to abolish Philadelphia's Traffic Court, a notorious black hole of corruption and graft. I am not a fan of the national GOP, especially how they have revealed themselves in this election cycle. But I think it's counter-productive to put all of them in the same bucket of ineffective RINOness. Posted by: kallisto at October 20, 2016 08:22 AM (nNdYv) 171

Jeb Bush and Kasich raised their hands. Posted by: blaster at October 20, 2016 08:19 AM (v9J1p) I didn't watch any of the debates (no TV). One thing that really struck me on the debate was the discussion (if you want to call it that) on the Supreme Court.
The Hag positions the court, and ultimately her nominees to the court, as a fight of the little guy vs. big corporate and big money. I don't recall any mention of rule of law. Trump however did try to keep it around the rule of law, preserving the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I sure wish the LIV would see that. But then again, many of the LIV like their free shit and they know who will keep giving it to them. All for the price of their souls, their freedom, their country. Y'see, when people talk about disbanding the Republican Party, it sounds great until you get into the nuts and bolts of it.
You have the, "We have to tell the Socons to pound sand and create a socially liberal, economically conservative party." But on the other hand, when you tell the Socons to pound sand, that's like a quarter of the electorate. And it amounts to a de facto surrender to the left on all social issues. And then you have a huge component of the Republican Party ("moderates")that loves them some Big Government. In the absence of a Republican Party, they'll just attach themselves to the Democrats. So, what you're left is, a group of social liberals who want limited, fiscally responsible Government. In other words, The Libertarian Party. The desperate push to drag Hillz over the finish line is killing down ticket races for the Dems. If she looks like a guaranteed win, the LIV's will split the ticket to keep her in-check. We know better, but the LIV's don't.
Best of both worlds, the push optics that Hillz will win, the Dems get killed down ticket and Trump still wins. Posted by: WOPR - Nationalist at October 20, 2016 08:50 AM (J70i0) 250
Fox was so weird last night. I'm watching some reruns of recordings after the debate. MeAgain was relentless about talking about the "woman" issue. She's sick, mentally. Really, she can't stop attacking Trump. Mentally deranged at this point. Hemmer was talking to one of the Trump sons and they cut his mic when he starting talking about Donna Brazille - literally cut his mic while Hemmer talked around him and over him until they cut it. I can't wait for weekly episodes of The Presidential Apprentice with President Donald J. Trump.
First episode will be an election recap with every flabby Republican primary contender in the East Room. Then Hillary calls in from prison and Trump yells at her for about 3 minutes. Then after the last commercial break there's a tearful scene in the Rose Garden where Trump personally duct tapes Michelle Fields' arm back on. Last night while having dinner, I mentioned to mom something negative about Hillary to see if I could provoke a conversation from the next table, and whee did it work. At that table were a couple of 40ish women, and the best part was how well informed they were about the Clintons and their numerous crimes. Which they were more than willing to cite.

28 Why conservatives will need a new party if/when Hillary wins
Posted by: Vic We Have No Party Thanks to the welfare state, the 47 %, the ill/uneducated sputem from the school and university system, open borders/amnesty, the new normal of no growth, there will never be the votes to elect a conservative majority. A successful Trump presidency would yield a last chance by demonstrating conservative principles through constitutionalist scotus picks, and major economic and employment growth through lower taxes. The Hillary Admin completion of the institutionalization of corruption in the judiciary, DOJ, IRS, EPA, FCC, FBI (very disappointing) means electoral fraud will be facilitated. How can you win at the ballot box after that? Posted by: Dirks Strewn at October 20, 2016 08:58 AM (kfcYC) 275

Read Lincoln's Cooper Union address. The Republican Partywasn't formed to compromise or reach across the aisle or play parliamentary games. It was formed to fight--literally if need be--because no one else would: not the Whigs, not the Know Nothings, none of them.
The issue then was slavery. The issue now is Marxist-socialist takeover of the federal government. We keep pretending this all can be solved at the ballot box, but that process has been proven corrupted. And maybe it can: maybe the election process can be cleaned up, its credibility restored. Just about anything is better than a violent alternative. Posted by: troyriser at October 20, 2016 08:49 AM (cCEFD) I don't often agree with you, but this is spot on. Trump's best move, I think, is to answer with "I will accept the final, certified ballot of the Electoral College". Posted by: artisanal 'ette at October 20, 2016 09:17 AM (qCMvj) Krauthammer is afraid. They all are. We should be. If an American government is proven illegitimatethen social and economic collapse follow soon after. Worse, it would prompt our foreign enemies to make their move. It's a nightmare scenario, a hostage situation gone bad. That's what Ryan and Krauthammer and others are looking at and that--I think--is why they're willing to tolerate Democratic Party malfeasance up to and including a rigged election leading to Hillary's inauguration. Nixon conceded the 1960 election to Kennedy even though he knew voting had been rigged in several key states (at that time) such as West Virginia. He conceded for the good of the country as he saw it. It was a hard call and he made it. Whether it was the right move no one can say. It's wrong to view Ryan and Rubio and others for being unpatriotic. They aren't. They just think they have the bigger view. Posted by: troyriser at October 20, 2016 09:29 AM (cCEFD) 365

The "accept the election outcome" was a BS question, feeds the left talking point about "unfit for office", especially in the face of Dem operatives admitting they work at cheating.
If Trump was in office and refused to step down, that might be different (more like what we actually have, with executive refusing to prosecute) ... but what can Trump do other than object, maybe get some lawyers? He does not have the levers of power to throw around. That's the whole problem ... the "soft coup" has occurred. (or "velvet coup", I heard as well). The media has also been taken over, and are tied directly with the levers of power. They coordinate talking points, media heads are married to government bureaucrat chiefs ... all planning the "private agenda" Hillary speaks of to Goldman Sachs. The "global governance" plan, meaning their schemes escape our courts, we lose sovereignty. Posted by: illiniwek at October 20, 2016 09:30 AM (O2rG1) 367

The Trump accepting election results questions was so clearly a set-up.
We've just had an undercover video where Hillary's own operative admits to committing voter fraud for 50 years (was it an exaggeration - who knows?), that they will do anything necessary to "win this mother f#cker." Oh, and then the ongoing revelations such as there being over 40,000 people registered to vote in both NY and FL, easily identified by requesting FL absentee ballots be sent to their primary NY residence. That's ***40,000*** - and GWBush won FL in 2000 by fewer than 1000 votes. Yeah, Trump was right not to walk into the trap and invite harassment when he questions super-shady election results. Turnout is what matters. Hillary has appalling likeability numbers (and, yes, Trump's are just as bad, maybe a little worse). But Trump has the wind of a change election on his side, and real enthusiasm from his base.
In a low turnout election, where Trump's base shows up (and brings their friends), he wins. The GOTV effort will have to be organic, because Trump doesn't seem to have invested in the conventional apparatus. But, with his enthusiasm, perhaps it will be enough. Maybe there will be a surprise or two also to come. And, I've seen several polls now where he hits 15% black support. The game isn't over until the votes are cast and counted. (And maybe not even then). Posted by: Revenant at October 20, 2016 09:47 AM (3DSAh) 428

All of their policies are written by aides and staff. All of their press statements are drafted, and re-drafted, and made anodyne.A politician isn't a citizen who stands up and says whats on his mind and convinces people to join him or her on a quest for elected office. At least, not anymore. Now, a politician is a poll tested lawyer who has a staff of people to weave a convincing backstory and craft what they think they can sell others. >>Not sure if anyone else read this but the doctor that treated Hillary
for her blood clot in 2012 , Doctor Sandeep Sherlekar, was found dead of an apparent suicide. Geez. He was involved in some sort of kick-back scheme. Back when the Platte River Networks stuff came out it was curious that she would select some rinky-dink start-up in CO instead of going with one of the experienced N. VA forms that back-up classified/confidential materials for agencies like IRS. But that's what Hillary does: she purposely does business with inexperienced and compromised people, because that gives her an out, someone to blame should someone question the business she's doing with them. Sure looks like Sherlekar was open to being compromised - likely willing to take Clinton cash in exchange for keeping her medical info hidden because he was willing to cut other corners from some extra cash, too. And gosh, it makes it so much easier to say, "Of course it was suicide, he was a criminal - no foul play here!!" Not being a conspiracy theorist here, just noting that that would be an excellent strategy when doing sketchy business deals like the Clinton are known to do.... If you think Trump did poorly last night, re-watch the debate. I watched part of it again last night before I had to go to bed, and was amazed how weak Clinton came across.
I think during the first watch, I really wanted Trump to smash her with some zingers and was disappointed that he didn't, thus "feeling" that he didn't do well. Did Trump miss some opportunities? Well, yeah, but his answers were not bad. They could have been better, but overall he did pretty well. Chris Wallace, IMO, was more than fair to Clinton, seemed to give her more time, interrupting Trump's rebuttals/answers to give Hills her "chance to respond." He also let Clinton off the hook about Bill's accusers, among other things, which I thought was odd. Just my opinion but I urge people to watch again. I mean, imagine where the Republican Party would be today if they really had secured the border back in 1990s/2000s like they promised... and if George W. Bush had done quick, decisive military retaliation for 9-11 instead of a long, futile occupation. --- That is like imagining a Hillary who is likable and means well. More like alternative time-line science fiction. The GOP is a globalist, corporatist party which thinks of mission accomplished as a marketing slogan to sucker the rubes, as opposed to a goal for the nation. Their only disappointment is that it doesn't seem possible to sucker the immigrant rubes the way they have American ones. So, no problem. Their kids can become Democratic politicians and operatives instead, and still work for the same owners. They just don't care about us, and it has been obvious for twenty years or more.
