Limbaugh's strictly a radio guy and usually performs poorly whenever he's out of his element. That said, he did a good job several years ago doing some celebrity sportscasting for one of the networks but I think he started out as a radio sportscaster, so there's that.

Best case, this ain't moving a needle for most folks. Both will continue to poll around 43%.
In the end, it's really coming down to who excites the base into actually driving to the polls. Trump may have the advantage there. I don't see the people Hillary needs to vote going out to vote. So she'll be depending on the typical democrat voter fraud of bussing people and dead people.

I read a book called "Nerve" about the brain in high-stress situations. Pretty interesting. One interesting thing is that adrenaline shunts blood *AWAY* from higher cognitive parts of the brain, to push blood to absolutely-vital sympathetic nervous system parts and fight-or-flight instinct parts.
People really do become blood simple in a fight. When cops give very very different accounts of a shooting, they're not lying (usually) -- it's just that their brains were so drenched in adrenaline their perceptions were altered (tunnel vision, time compression, and for some reason people stop HEARING in high stress situations) and their memory function went to shit too.
Anyway, just wondering if you've read a nonfiction book about keeping one's wits in a battle. Case studies, that sort of thing.

If you think Trump should have a prefect rejoinder to all of them, it's an unrealistic expectation.

But it IS a good example of not accepting a loss... which if you read Scott Adams and understand "persuasion", it could pair him in people's minds with a loser - Al Gore. And from a persuasion perspective, he doesn't want to be paired in people's minds with a loser!
All he's trying to demonstrate is the straight spine of a leader. This business about "not being prepared" is ridiculous. He's walking a tightrope.
I was also promised - GUARANTEED - by some real smarties here and elsewhere - that he would run as a liberal in the mold of Hillary Clinton. Tonight in front of the world, he hammered Roe v Wade, an unabashed 2nd Amendment, illegal immigration, not to mention the corruption of his opponent. Most considered third rails by our so-called "conservative" candidates during the General.

There is no way he is Secret Service. If you freeze up on stage - a Secret Service guy isn't going to walk over to you and say "Keep Talking" like he did - when she froze up at a campaign stop. She hates the SS and the feeling is mutual - they'd let her fall flat on her face on stage while quietly laughing at her before going over to drag her to her van and toss her in.

My son stopped at a local pub after work a little after 4:00 this afternoon. There were 4 men at the bar and one asked another guy if he intended on watching the debate tonight. He answered "no my mind is already made up, I'm voting for Hillary Clinton". The man sitting next to him got up and punched the guy smack in the face, and the Hillary guy fell on the floor. the other 2 guys not in the fight yet jumped up and started stomping on the Hillary fan.
At this point (apparently), the bar tender came around the bar and broke up the scrum. When he had our Clinton guy standing up he marched him to the door and threw him out yelling "you get out and stay out, I don't want no Hillary voters in my bar"
I believe this story as my son would not lie about a thing like this. LOL.

Grossman's books have already been suggested upthread. I have a corollary suggestion for you. It is called "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin de Becker.
It is available as an audiobook, as is "On Combat", Grossman's book.
I love audiobooks; it is a luxury to have a book read to me right from my iphone as I do other tasks.
And as long as you are getting put some knowledge, check out "The Creature from Jekyll Island". Guaranteed you will never look at the news, or the world, the same again after taking in that book.

I've actually done a debate in front of other people. My opponents were a student union VP and a much more experienced leftwing activist. I still had to take a bathroom break just to get my head back together, but came back and crushed pretty well. At this level, if you can't stand up and challenge the other guy even under klieg lights, you're done. Trump stood up well in the GOP primary debates: I'd have loved it if he prepared more against Hillary. But things are what they are.
