The Morning Report 10/19/16 [J.J. Sefton]

vv.jpeg

What a week it's shaping up to be. I don't know if I'm depressed and sickened by everything that's been revealed either through O'Keefe (PBUH) or Assange, or because what's been revealed comes as absolutely no surprise at all. Anyway, Debate III is tonight in Vegas. It should be interesting to see how Krankenschvester Ratched reacts. Have a better one.

    >>>>>459 The last poll had a D+6. Remember obama only got a D+7 in 2008 with record setting Dem turnout.

Posted by: The Great White Scotsman at October 19, 2016 06:43 AM (iONHu)

    He

only had D+4.5 in 2012 yet they are giving Scankles Dem+10 in those

polls where she is leading by 10% or they don't even give the number

because they are embarrassed. They say they are basing their split on

2012 which is what most reputable pollsters say. They are lying.
    .
    .
    .
.And hillary is not going to generate anything close to those numbers because no one likes her.

    One
thing we need to remember is that Trump is not down anywhere by double
digits even with the shenanigans they are playing with polling samples.
That plus the fact that it has been nothing but a 24/7 Trump hate fest
in the media since right before the first debate.

    No other
candidate would have lasted this long and be anywhere close to hillary
in the polls no matter what the Debbie downers on here claim.

Point taken, J.J. I simply don't believe this was done as anything other than crass PR. But, as you said above, this election is ratcheting depression, sickness and (in my case) rage up to 11.

And you know what's really awful about having these feelings? In the past, you might have been able to see a therapist or even your clergyman for some counseling or advice. In Obama's America, I'd never dare say a word to some "mental health professional."

She'll pause, get that smug little smile on her face and come back with some quip about The Donald's purported sexism or his taxes or his "stalking" - something. She can't deliver a joke to save her life, so it will sound completely phony and rehearsed to us, but the media and her dippy female followers will be laughing and cheering because "hey, she just put that pig in his place! You go, girl!" The media will treat it as a devastating comeback, worthy of Dorothy Parker.

I used to love going to the Smithsonian. Actually, I used to love to visit DC. So much history, so many things to see. Now that our country is nothing but a backed up toilet, I could care less.

As for Clarence Thomas, it really is disgusting. The 'we can't tell every story' is such unabashed BS. The R's could do what the Democommies would do and scream raycissss! loud enough and long enough until this was rectified...but they're R's. They don't do much of anything except draw a taxpayer paycheck.

I went to high school with that witch (she was a year or two behind me.) She was a big-mouthed, pushy broad even back then.

She was very involved in the Latin-American club, ASPIRA. That group, along with the African-American club, came to my graduation, wore black armbands, gave the black power salute, and stood up and turned their backs on Terence Cardinal Cooke, who was officiating the ceremony.

    Yeah, she's a real peach.

There are still some good people. Just apparently not enough of them to overwhelm the evil and naïveté.

In today's world it pretty hard not to believe people don't have access to information that would open their eyes to truths. But they are prone to be topical and the people running thes campaigns know it. They didn't dredge up these frauds against Trump accidentally. They picked a poll tested issue they knew would inspire just enough pathos to overcome the intellectual and policy arguments, which work in Trumps favor.

They apparently don't care about lies, manipulation and the stealing of freedom from future generations. All they see is a "woman" not even admitting that people irrespective of gender or race can be good or bad.

It's just sad so many people have been made into dupes and useful idiots. These are the group that is willing to "trade freedom for alleged security". They will be responsible for destroying our great country. It's hard not to be disgusted and cynical about that.

Posted by: Brave Sir Robin at October 19, 2016 08:22 AM (SeD0w)

155 For everyone who is depressed listening to the MSM declare Hillary the winner, just read the fine print...

The polls are right if Hillary can get the people of America to like her the same way they liked Obama before his election.

The polls are right if the same number of independents believe that by voting for Hillary, all racial issues in the country will disappear overnight as they did before Obama got elected.

The polls are right if everyone is lying about wanting change.

The polls are right if the mix of cell phones and land lines are the same as 2010 and the bias of respondents are equal to a conservative wave election.

The polls are right if Hillary can generate the same enthusiasm that Obama did prior to his election.

If these things don't happen, the polls, which are the source of all this troubling news, may be wrong. There are no other indications that Hillary is doing great and Trump is failing.

When asked in tv "man on the street" interviews, Trump supporters seem to be even more determined to crawl through broken glass to vote for him. Rally crowds are bigger than ever. On Hillary's side, she still can't attract more than a small room full of people even with a paycheck and a box lunch.

Three weeks is a lifetime in politics. Pollsters know that they can do whatever they want with the polls prior to the last days before the election, just as long as their last poll is somewhat correct. There will be a "miraculous" rebound that "no one could have predicted" and a very tight race the night before the election.

What they are doing now is trying to swing the weak minded into early voting for the "winner". There are a lot of stupid people in the country and they want to milk each one they can.

Some of the polls for the McConnell election were off by 10 points. Bevin won when every single poll said he was losing. They missed his win by 6 points. All of theses errors were blamed on poor voter turnout and lack of daily polling and not the poll models themselves.

There used to be a rational reason for this (not sure it's still there)--they were there to assist Iraqi legal with best practices in evidence-gathering, site exploitation, drawing up cases, and prosecution. Article 4 of the Iraqi constitution specifies terrorism as a crime, and it was prosecuted legally. Some FBI types advised on such things.

The one thing that I think will or at least should drive Trump to victory are the millions of GOP voters who did not vote in '08 and '12 but more importantly the millions more, Democrat and Republican who have not bothered voting in perhaps 20-30 years.

That is the big "X" factor, IMHO.

255 There was some real hate for Scalia out there ... which in a sense might be a good comparison to Trump.

Not that they are the same, but in how the left viciously and systematically attacks any that are a threat to their "commie" assault on our country and culture. And people should recall that Trump was called in to testify to a congressional committee, spoke right after Bill Seidman, on details of how to revive the local economy and building. They praised him, and Trump was prescient on NAFTA bad deals and tax policy causing stock bubbles.

Robin Leach on Cavuto yesterday praised Trump ... "never a hint of impropriety", even as he worked with female field producers 18 times. Many women he worked with have praised Trump. So exactly what the celebrity setting was for him to be kissing women, then pussy grabbing (when they LET him) ... seems like a salacious setting, not normal business or social venues. Where was the list of women trying to get money from him before a month ago?

this is Leach saying the assault on Trump's character is a pack of lies.

For or against Trump, there is no way to know whether any of Trump's primary opponents would be more competitive against Hillary at this point.

It isn't being a 'Debbie Downer' to recognize that most pollsters try to beas accurate as they can since getting it close to right is theirbusiness and they won't stay in business long if they deliberately skew results.

It's also true some polls (I'd guess a tiny fraction) are voter suppression tactics disguised as polls. Most are not.

Trump is behind. Whether or notTrump continues to fade depends largely on his debate performance this evening. If he can stop fucking up long enough for the WikiLeaks scandals to percolate, he might bring his numbers to within the margin of error with Hillary. And by 'fucking up' I mean shit like staying up until 3:00 AM on Twitter blasting the fat former Miss Universe or whatever. That's ridiculously un-presidential, punching down, an unforced error, a self-inflicted wound--and he keeps doing it.

He might jazz up the headlines (like Drudge does) ... but he mostly just links to things, and adds a few comments.

He says Soros is mentioned 50 times in wikileaks podesta files. Seems significant that HRC knows the "Syrian" immigrants are trouble, but as in Europe, Soros wants to introduce more chaos to the west ... so Hillary promises to bring them here, against the will of ~75% of Americans.

Beck in one of his moments of clarity perhaps, listed hundreds of basically leftist subversive groups that Soros was funding. He's like a James Bond villain, always able to meet with Hillary on policy, or to fight wars I guess.

    .
    .
    .
.Every single poll here in Kentucky had Bevin losing on election day, but he won by 5 points. The polls were off by a margin of 7-9 points. The same thing happened in 2014 with McConnell. Most polls had him winning by a slight margin but he went on to beat Grimes by 14 points. Not a single poll came close to that. The polling was so crappy the 538 guy and Wapo both did a series of articles on what went wrong. They blamed depressed voter turnouts.

The single common thread during all of that crappy polling was they skewed the Dem turnout up by a tremendous amount based on the turnouts during 2008 and 2012. Pollsters are doing the exact same thing once again.

369 OK - can someone stuff a large sock filled with manure into Rubio's mouth. WTF - he actually is taking the position that the GOP should not "use" the Wikileaks emails because that means that - in the future - someone might use a similar leak against the GOP. Seriously? OK - so lets ignore high treason, corruption, election fraud, anti-semitism, perverting the Catholic Church, graft etc. because someday it might leak out that the GOP is doing equally bad things and we wouldn't want anyone to use that against "us," now would we. Who the f*ck are these people's PR folks? Who are their advisors? Seriously - that is thought of as a "good argument?"

    The "Stupid Party" indeed.

Oh and btw - I am sure his advisors, and the advisors in the GOPe are soooo certain if we unilaterally surrender on this issue, today, the Dems, and their propaganda arm the MSM, will be sooooo gallant as to not use anything uncovered in a later hack episode against us. Pinkie swearsie!

Stupid Party thou hast earned they name!

Rubio - please when the other side is self immolating the standard practice is to SHUT THE F*CK UP and let them. Just. Shut. The. F*ck. Up.

    That is all.

374 for those despondent with the voter suppression polls, I suggest listening to an excellent podcast by Stephan Molyneaux on polling.

Pollsters have figured out how to game in the internals beyond the party affiliation sampling that the world has caught onto, inside the party affiliation, they oversample the demographics that support hillary (college educated making over $135K) over bluecollar $75K which skews the results to Hillary than Trump but overstates the real population split within the demographics.

This is why the LA times poll is more accurate indicator of intent.

    Math don't lie. Never does.
