Obama Administration: Of Course We Won't Be Firing Hillary's Fixer Jake Sullivan for Pressuring the FBI to De-Classify Classified Information So She Could Claim It Wasn't Classified.

Why would we start firing lawbreakers now, so close to the end of days?

FBI documents show that Kennedy discussed with an FBI official getting at least one email declassified in exchange for authorizing additional FBI personnel to be posted in Iraq.

"That's their prerogative, but I can say that Pat Kennedy is going to stay at his job and he has the full confidence of the secretary of state," Kirby said when asked about Chaffetz and Nunez' call for his removal.

So, likewise, I would have no compunction in pulling the lever to the trapdoor under their feet.

Difference being, our side would actually hold proper and correct trials in order to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, but their side would Star Chamber us at best.

More likely, they'd just round us up by class, neighborhood, relations or friends, and bypass the judicial niceties.

But yeah, this is all getting down to the levels of Rectification of Names.

Yeah, the irony......although it may be they are talking about primary voters.

Even so, they are being silly. I think there is a certain childishness that refuses to accept that a page has turned, that history is linear.

I remember in the election of 2004 how Kerry and so many kept concentrating on the question of whether we should have gone into Iraq in the first place --- as if it mattered in 2004, as if you could turn back the clock. We HAD gone in, so the only question was what to do NOW.

Many of the #Nevertrumpers remind of that. They are going backwards in fantasy to re-fight the primaries and are thereby failing to respond to the conditions NOW.
They are being irresponsible in the most literal sense of the word.

I use it when i have to because somebody needs to know who I am when I'm calling them or writing them. Otherwise, I prefer Pastor. I have a friend in another denomination whose official title is "Very Reverend" . I sometimes kid him by saying "Your prayers are probably more effectual than mine are because you're very reverend and I 'm only reverend", or else I call him "Your Reverence" sometimes. He seems to take it in good humor.

Interesting. But not surprising. Wonder who/what scares them the most? The "here and now" or other? From an urban POV of course.

394 I was looking at Dylan's lyrics to try to find a title to use. "Louie the King" was the most obvious, but I couldn't think of anything to do with it.

Anyway, OT but I stumbled across the fact that he's played the song "A Satisfied Mind" only once live, on 11/9/99, and I was there! I'm absolutely gobsmacked. That song was on his "Saved" album from 1980 and I assumed that he would have been playing it during his evangelical phase around that time, but evidently not.

399 Walked some more roads today, maybe about 50 houses.

It was a little better than last time. Today's most annoying answerer wanted me to know that as A Person With A Master's Degree she could not bring herself to vote for Trump.

I refrained from saying that maybe she should have learnt some maths along the way, and that "$20 trillion" should probably enter her mind, if there's room with that Masters Degree and all.

God bless you BTH - I really mean that.

You know the know it alls like this idiot have not fear.

Because we who work and pay for this shambles have failed to put any fear into them.

I'm on the verge of a new policy - "if you voted for this shit then STFU I will not help you. If you did not, then how can I help you?"

401 I'm early voting next week. After all the talk, anguish, and angst, it all comes down to just doing it. I know the dems will fraudulently vote, but mainly they're trying to demoralize us into staying home. So when I'm punching my ballot for Trump, I'll be saying FU to all of their corruption, insults, and general disregard of the average American. And I'll be happy doing it.

Posted by: Deplorable LASue at October 18, 2016 11:03 PM (wgFcF)

402 I don't do early voting. I'm a traditionalist. I believe in voting on Election Day.

I wish we would go back to that. It was a way to instill civic virtue. People from all walks of life, high and low, were all equal in the voting booth on Election Day.

All of these recent innovations like early voting or voting by mail have watered that down. Absentee ballots should only be able to be used in cases where people are physically unable to be at their local polling place on Election Day.

404 Did anybody expect Obama to actually start firing people? He hasn't fired anyone even after huge instances of incompetence why would he start now just because they commit illegal acts?

405 The sidebar article re: the NFL scrounging for excuses to pin on the spiraling ratings made a great point on the "color commentary" becoming little more than annoying PC babble. A couple years ago, I was watching a college FB game and something caused the announcer's mics to cut off. For several minutes, it was just the stadium sounds: crowd cheering, players hitting and shouting, referee whistles, cheerleaders chanting, etc....it was a wonderful few minutes of enjoyment. No one was telling me about the QB's personal family struggles in "the hood," or cutting away to a clip of Obama's upcoming interview with ESPN, or about the nose tackle's marriage proposal to the running back. It's been going on for decades but it's getting more and more unbearable and definitely is turning people away - from more and more sports.
