Will the Press Ever Ask Hilary Clinton To Explain Her "Dream" Of "Open Borders" Throughout the Whole World?

In fairness, the Chicago Tribnune's John Kass is asking.

But candidates are only forced to answer if the press -- a lot of them -- keep asking until it's too embarrassing or politically damaging to dodge any further.

Think that will happen here?

"My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, sometime in the future with energy that's as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere," Clinton reportedly said to investors in a paid speech she gave to Brazilian Banco Itau in 2013.
Here's the thing about borders. If you don't have borders, you don't have a country. Americans are beginning to understand this. Europeans understand it now, quite clearly.
Clinton's dream also includes a Western Hemispheric common market, like the European common market that is dissolving in chaos, fear and debt.
If that is indeed her dream, then she dreams the internationalist dream that would end America. But Americans aren't talking about this, perhaps because there is no video involving sex and Hollywood and Trump.
I would love to hear Clinton's explanation. Perhaps she could put it in some proper context.
Or perhaps she was merely telling the Brazilians something they wanted to hear, because they were paying her a good chunk of cash.
And if there is a way for America to maintain sovereignty without borders, Hillary might be just the one to tell us. But the Clinton campaign isn't commenting. And reporters aren't really pressing, preoccupied as they are by that vulgar video of a boorish Trump.

He notes that Clinton press flack Robbie Mook has been telling the preposterous lie that she merely meant there would be "open borders" for green energy only, which makes no sense, because no one speaks of "open borders" with respect to free trade in goods -- we just say "free trade."

"Open borders" is specifically used in the context of the free migration of people.

the party could make arguments in favor of sovereignty and borders but they do not. They make throwaway assertions in election years, which do not persuade anyone, but merely reassure those who care about this issue.

Because they don't WANT to. Their corporate masters don't want immigration laws enforced and each four years we have a kabuki of Republicans claiming to be for strengthening the borders but very noticeably not trying to WIN on the issue and explain the WHY of it to people who think it's just about racism.

So far, all I have seen of the emails and other information coming out of Wikileaks or Snowden, has only been embarrassing to this government. I've seen nothing that would be considered damaging to the security of this country.

Independent, sovereign nation states is another thing they don't like. All of these things are a threat to their control and ability to predict. It's uncertainty.

The Anti-Trumpers are convinced that the majority of Trumpers are just ignorant hicks who are caught up in the cult of Trump. I would disagree, we have principles, and one of the most important is protecting American Sovereignty, Laws, and Citizenship...without which we have no country, no constitution, and no space for liberty to thrive.

It will be a America controlled by Internationalist Oligarchs who answer to no one, or a Dark Age America of tribes warring with one another. Internationalist Utopia sounds like hell!
