Donald Trump is a dangerous, bigoted, misogynistic, narcissistic

wreak irreparable damage on America and the world.
      Ms. Clinton

Obama also tried to charge and arms dealer who was not part of her operation to cover up Obama and Scankles part in the operation. But you can do anything when there is no opposition party.

36 Hillary is currently getting more of the vote from college graduates. So, just for shits and giggles, I thought I would look up how the latest polls stacked up against the demographics.

Susquehanna has a poll of Pennsylvania out that shows Hillary in the lead. 74.3% of PA citizens have less than a college degree.

In the poll, 72% surveyed had a college degree.

In Virginia, Roanoke College has a poll up with Hillary in the lead. 35% of Virginia citizens have a degree. In the poll, 83% had a degree.

NBC has a nation-wide survey. Although the national average of degree holders is around 25%, their survey uses 54% college graduates.

Of course, there is no attempt to cook the numbers.

Posted by: jwest at October 12, 2016 07:27 AM (Zs4uk)

37 Wifey ordered a 1950 Betty Crocker cookbook. First thing I had to do was check what a common can size was then. It seems that the ubiquitous can then was the #2 can. I had remarked previously that in the new Betty Crocker Cookbook can size had decreased from 16 oz to 15 oz and actual cans are now 14.5 oz (with a price increase). Well the #2 can used in the 1950 recipe for spaghetti sauce was today's 20 f.o. can that doesn't exist. But inflation does not exist. And I suspect they got rid of can sizes by number to hide that fact even then.

My take on it was they said that unelected bureaucrats could not be delegated to make law.

Kavanaugh notes with alarm the vast powers of the "headless fourth
branch of government" of agencies that are independent from presidential
control, and thus not answerable to American voters. He continues, "Because of their massive power and the absence of Presidential
supervision and direction, independent agencies pose a significant
threat to individual liberty and to the constitutional system of
separation of powers and checks and balances."

I can't see how the outcome of this battle results in a Trump win.

At this point though, I'm thinking a Trump win was never possible. Gope might see it as a victory, if he doesn't win the White House, but they appear to be remarkably short-sighted small-brained twits, who haven't learned anything from the last several erection cycles.

I believe that is the first time I have said that here.

I have been pretty much pro Trump and holding head up despite it all.

But something I have said many times. Parties survive bad candidates, they don't survive schisms. Just like ace has been saying about anti trumpers in the conservative journalist class - they can't claim that their influence means nothing.

Open warfare between Trump and Ryan is not a confidence builfding situation. I don't care if they hate each other behind the scenes but out in front of everyone it doesn't bring more votes.

60 Deplorables with Trump signs and loud speakers gathered today to greet Bill Clinton as he arrived at the Community Center in Safety Harbor Florida at 6:45 pm. His motorcade passed us and he got out 200 feet away and looked at us and walked in. We personally welcomed each of the 350 people in line with a simple question: "Why are you hear to see a rapist?" We confronted every parent with children asking "Why are you talking your children to see a rapist?"

There were 100 Hillary supporters gathered in a park across the street and my wife and I had to walk right through them to get to our car. I was wondered if my wife was nervous until I heard her click on the loud speaker and ask them why they supported a rapist. There were several fathers with daughters and I asked them father to father how they could support a rapist?

LOL. Yes, she was so "able and experienced" during her husband's administration that she accomplished . . . what? Getting her socialist healthcare plan torpedoed? That was her biggest non-accomplishment as "co president" to Bill.

For those too young to remember, during his first term as president, Bill put Hillary in charge of coming up with a new healthcare law. Hillary held hearings (in secret) and met with healthcare bigwigs, but she was so tyrannical and unreasonable and secretive and nutty that the whole ball of crap she came up with ended up being scrapped.

Then there was Hillary's tenure as a U.S. Senator where she accomplished . . . nothing.

Then there was Hillary's tenure as Secretary of State, where she ran an illegal e-mail server which compromised national security, sold arms to ISIS, totally f*cked up Libya, worsened the bad situation in Syria, set back our relations with Russia, etc.

The only thing Hillary is "able and experienced" at is screwing things up.

140 "Open warfare between Trump and Ryan is not a confidence builfding situation. I don't care if they hate each other behind the scenes but out in front of everyone it doesn't bring more votes."

Ryan as Speaker never had any business at all grumbling about the duly chosen nominnee in the first place, but he and Trump reached an understanding months ago and Trump kept his side of the bargain. But now, less than a month to go, Ryan and friends are openly opposing their own candidate, which is treacherous and insane. And it's pretty clear to me they've been planning this all along.

Trump has no choice but to hit back. It's both his only chance and it's an appealing underdog storyline. I honestly not see how it could hurt his votes, under the circumstances. Hitting back harder is almost always the right response.

As for other GOP votes, they can support the Presidential nominee or they should lose.

Instead, you have essentially joined forces with those who view the Republican Party as just that: a club. A combination fraternity/sorority and country club whose members - self-selected Congressmen and Senators, wealthy donors, consultants, and lobbyists - see themselves in high-school terms as the "in crowd," and all the rest of their fellow Republicans - not to mention conservative Democrats and Independents - not as allies and supporters but as outsiders. Outsiders for whom the "insiders" have a fundamental contempt - a view that is strikingly similar to the view of Americans held by Hillary Clinton and the American Left at large.

Eh, after all the times it's been revealed that Obama and Hillary colluded with and/or strong-armed the press to get their preferred narrative out, one would be naive to think that whatever is reported is the full truth.

Polls are particularly easy to manipulate - the MSM has been using them for years to plant a story instead of report it. For example, flood the zone with a story "Candidate X hates women". Then do a poll that asks "Do you think candidate X hates women?" (the key being it's an opinion they're polling). Followed by news story: "Poll confirms that candidate X hates women" (reported as *fact*).

Healthy skepticism is warranted without indicating one has gone full-on tinfoil hat-wearing conspiracy nut.

I doubt that has changed much in 12 years.

The question above my pay grade: If approximately 25% of the population has a college degree and those with college degrees vote 75% of the time, how many people with college degrees should be included in a poll to give the most likely outcome?

Interestingly, Romney won 51% of college graduates while Obama won 55% of postgrad.
Romney also won with groups at $50k and above.

      Perhaps, perhaps.

If Trump or some other tees off on these, she's likely done. Yet another example of why what Ryan did is so shitty. he doesn't have to campaign with Trump. He and the Stupid Party leadership can take turns reading these out, demanding answers as to why the dem frontrunner regards the American people as peasants.

Corner her VP and ask him if he's a "good" Catholic in the eyes of her boss. Ask him when he'll resign, considering she's an anti-Catholic bigot.

I work with numbers, probabilities, projections and analytics for a living. There is just way too much error for it to simply be bad methodology. Some of it is outright propaganda. Anyone who can look at how the results were derived and understand the process knows this.

      Good point Lizzy.

Dana Loesch made a great point last night about how Stephanopoulos injected himself into the debate and manipulated the entire race with a loaded question on birth control -

"Governor Romney, do you believe that states have the right to ban
contraception? Or is that trumped by a constitutional right to privacy?"
Stephanopoulos asked the slightly bewildered-looking former
      Massachusetts governor.

You bet your ass they use polls to manipulate opinion. Americans are easily led fairweather sports fans who just want to be on the winning team.

Remember, it is now FACT that NYT gave Hillary editorial rights over her own remarks , a privilege accorded to no other candidate or interviewee.

Actually, the research Emerson College and PPP cite to justify this a Pew Research study from 2010 that said that liberals had more cell phone only lines and liberals also had more land line only lines.

Conservatives led in dual use users.

And of course, you need to remember that the study is back in 2010, when most people were in flux with their phones instead of today, when most people have settled in to a mixture of cell and land lines.

Also, the strong conservative showing of mixed use came during a tidal wave year for conservatives.

All I know is that phones don't account for a 6 point swing between liberals and conservatives.

They report polls as fact now, when a lot of these are *opinion* polls.

Is Hillary more trustworthy than Trump? Coming out on top of that poll doesn't mean one of them *is* more trustworthy, only that the polled people *believe* it.

If 51% of the people polled say they believe Bigfoot exists, does that mean Bigfoot exists, or does that mean that 51% of the people polled have been convinced Bigfoot exists?

Not saying it's not valuable to measure what people believe, since that informs their actions. However, the way polls are reported on can be very manipulative.

In 2012 it was the same. This year I believe the polls.
      Hope I'm wrong.

The voter fraud will be made to match the polls. Watch Nate Silver's final polls to see the level of fraud needed to give the beast a 4% popular vote win, which should translate to electoral collage victory.

Remember you only have to commit fraud in 5 states, and if you do it in democratic strongholds in that state, they will just talk about what a great ground game she has.

No, what I mean is, of course there'll be election fraud both at early voting and during the regular day. Is it really that much likelier to happen during the early voting? Is there some fundamental diffference, some easier way, that the Dems can fiddle with the results during the early voting -- some way they don't have as readily available during the regular?

424 This latest Trump foofaraw is a last ditch highly coordinated effort to take Trump down by the GOPe/Dims/MSM-

the polls will be cooked in ways subtle (as jwest points out) or not so subtle.

The idea that these folks would lay down and let Trump win are laughable.

They simply never give up. So Trump may indeed lose. Again he may have to beat vote-fraud by both parties.

The point is not to let them get you down. Not to let them depress your vote.

The one thing I learned from moving around a lot as a kid is that-

you must deliver the punch to the bully's nose hard.

You may lose the fight but that one hard punch must be applied to the bully's nose

No ifs and a or buts.

Even if you lose the fight.

That makes the bully in this case the GOPe much less likely to keep trying to fuck you over.

      Trump may lose.

But, I'm not going to let them win by getting me to defeat myself.

I still going to deliver the punch.

      I'm voting for Trump.

Then at least I know I did what I could on my end.

453 There is too much media flack over Trump losing the whole election, especially after the last debate. I can't help but think:

      1) Release of the tape was a coordinated effort behind the scenes at the GOP to try finally to put a torpedo under the waterline of the Trump Dreadnaught;

      2) The mass GOP defections were meant to metastasize into Trump dropping out of the race, with a hurried GOP replacement;

      3) It didn't work as effectively as planned;

      4) The TV talking heads are in an odd between-post narrative place where they are still reading from the prior script even though its just not relevant anymore.

I hate to get onto the poll dissection bandwagon after the 2012 debacle, and I'm not going to reprise the whole "unskewed polls" nonsense. But some of the information I'm hearing about these polls is odd: registered voters who didn't make it through the likely voter screens being added to likely voter samples anyway, massive oversampling of democrats, massive undersampling of independents, etc.

The entire media is trying to bring Trump down. I don't think it farfetched that some of this attitude will bleed into the polling.

The election can be boiled down to a basic question: do the elite/nobility (represented by Hillary, or McMuffin) "win"? Or do the peasant's (represented by Trump) "win"? The media clucking makes more sense if you look at it this way.

"Officer stated that she detected indicators in subjects behavior

Autopsy showed presence of PCP in suspects remains.

Not seeing too much of an issue here."

*Cue the disclaimers about how rogue or incompetent cops need to be removed/suffer the consequences for their actions if they are improper*

That said, three common denominators I see in every one of these cases,

      (1) there was a logical reason for the suspect to be a suspect or he had done something blatantly wrong to involve the police in the first place

      (2) he was ignoring repeated commands from the police

      (3) we can't know for sure, but if the suspect had simply obeyed the cops, they in all likelihood would have been alive and ok after the police encounter

Would be interesting to see some sort of organized compilation of this stuff.

468 Latest Rasmussen Poll has Clinton up 4, down from 7 two days ago. Also includes Sunday in the polling, which must have been a awful polling day for Trump.

      471 1) Release of the tape was a coordinated effort behind the scenes at the GOP to try finally to put a torpedo under the waterline of the Trump Dreadnaught;

      2) The mass GOP defections were meant to metastasize into Trump dropping out of the race, with a hurried GOP replacement;

Interesting. They would be putting up a sure loser for a variety of reasons, but maybe it could play in some sort of narrative that sanity has been restored, this is who the GOP really is, we've realized we weren't in tune with today's sensibilities, we're changing, just wait till you see the great candidate we put up next time, etc.

But as badly as they have bungled this election cycle (not the Stupid Party for nothing), I just don't think they are that smart or organized.

I see it as more of a media/Democrat effort, sort of like the 2000 GWB October surprise with the past DUI.

472 Daily Mail is saying the Jordanian pilot died and it's the instructor who survived and is talking. That's not what they were saying on local news. Well I guess that makes more sense then for the instructor to be talking about the student pilot. I was confused because the Jordanian already had his pilot's license. Conflicting information from the media, big surprise.

473 I am grateful for Wikileaks, even if the guy running it is nuts, for they have proven this country is in the hands of tyrants and criminals. We are occupied by a hostile power, and it is not the Russians.

One of my biggest annoyances now with the GOP is the fact they keep bringing up Aleppo and Putin. Seriously who give a Flying F%$&! We are living in a nation state now which has gone off the rails, and most of the government, and the media are in on it.

Ten years ago, only the most lunatic of conspiracy theorist would have come up with what we have found in the e-mails. Now we see the joke is on us.

474 The Rasmussen right direction of 30% this week was significantly lower
than it was for the same week in 2012, and that was pre-Sandy. This is a
      Unhappy Electorate.

Let's say you go into the voting booth undecided.
And all you know are the slogans.

      "Make America Great Again."
      "Stronger Together."

Who do you pull the lever for?

      Add in the smears.
Note that there is almost as much negative for each side.

So, it's back to "who do you vote for" not "against."

Adjust for most women who often vote for such very serious reasons as color of shoes.

      Chaos.

This will likely not end well.

475 The Repubs need to learn to Support your nominee no matter what, unless they do something blatantly illegal like steal classified information or selling your office for pay to play. In which case you just say it was a mistake and just support him even more.

It could be that. I might be reading too much into it. I find it suspicious that, of all people on that tape, it was a member of the Bush clan that Trump was talking to. We're talking about a piece of a silly celebrity show that didn't air, that's a decade old.

I don't trust the Bush family at all. They have infected much of the upper echelons of the GOP, and we're all supposed to bow down to them for some reason. The rumors (and they are not more than that, as far as I can tell)
placed the release either to a former Romney aide, or to a member of
Ryan's staff. (I find it odd that Ryan's staff would be involved in
something like this, frankly. But I could see it coming out of Romney).

477 Forgive me for repeating, but the Uniparty thinks that defeating Trump and throwing the Tea Party to the IRS wolves will discipline the electorate. They couldn't be more wrong.

Trump is not their worst option and, in fact, he might well turn out to be their best option. The citizenry is not going to like the result of this huge and coordinated effort (now a proven fact post-Wikileaks) to manipulate the vote and there will be an even more definitive reaction.

478 Billy Dale is glad to know that Democrats are against gratuitous political prosecutions to railroad the innocent.
Scooter Libby is glad that anyone who names a spy in her unsecured emails is prosecuted.
Richard Nixon is glad she has a right to counsel like she tried to deny him by hiding documents.
Sheriff Joe is glad the DOJ takes obstruction of justice seriously because "no one is above the law".
Robert Menendez is glad that anyone taking influence money from donors is prosecuted.
Martha Stewart is glad that making false statements to the FBI is a jailable offense.
And the FBI is glad that destruction of evidence is no longer a crime, but policy.

      If your name is Clinton.

If for example all the FPO APO ballots come in and are kept in a

closet, and then they are deemed to have "arrived late" and DAMN those

military incompetents who disenfranchise our brave servicepeople by

      mishandling mail .

It's possible that there is a hurdle in these two states, long known for the voting integrity:

"local elections offices segregate military absentee ballots to the Chicago International/Military Service Center gateway and the Miami International Service Center"

Who oversees the fpo apo military ballot processing?
