22 Ah yes, Chelsea the charmer. Remember back when her then new hubby wanted to dump her? He went off to Vail to become a ski bum.
It was in the tabloids.

And who could blame him. I wonder what kind of promises were made to him?

Then there was this, when she was a child in the WH:

Chelsea was on the phone. 'Oh, I've got to go,' she told her friend. 'The pigs are here.'

The agent turned 'crimson,' [White House florist Ronn] Payne recalls. 'Ms. Clinton, I want to tell you something. My job is to stand between you, your family, and a bullet. Do you understand?'

She replied: 'Well, that's what my mother and father call you.'

Like I said, a real charmer, from a family of charmers.

The Bernie supporters (some of them anyway) feel exactly as we do about the uniparty, the rigged system and so on. Their ideas of what should be done are, of course, far different than ours (I don't see how you can believe that the answer to corrupt government is more government) but I'd rather not argue about that right now. Seeing the problem still makes them smarter than the Dems who are comfortable with corruption.

Many of them will fall mindlessly into line - but some will not. I'm encouraging the Hill haters whenever I can - the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I hope my theory is correct. Trump is both petard hoist and divine punishment for the Democrats.

They dumped civics to create a stupider, more pliant electorate. They changed the rules of public discourse to where private immorality didn't matter, to protect Bill Clinton. Now the Clintons are trying to get back into power, and their dumbed down electorate has instead gravitated to someone who can speak their language, and who was only able to run for office at all under post-Clinton rules due to his seedy past.

They are on the verge of being defeated by their own hand. All we have to do is give it a slight push and put Trump over the top on election day.

I think that first debate shook up the race, but his campaign's response in the ensuing days, talking about that Miss Universe character instead of politics, was the real blow.

The level of desperation by them is incredible.

And if I remember right, the audience was responding very favorably to Trump, and not responding at the planned applause lines to Hillary.

And that is when, IMHO, the media realized they were about to lose their candidate to the peoples wishes.

171 This is what really angers me: we've had terrorist
attacks on home soil, targeting of cops, rioting and Obamacare is
falling apart. And that is all forgotten by many dopes because Trump
said pussy. Yes, the media is lying to us - but look at how many people
still swallow the bs. There are a lot of Hill signs in an upscale
neighborhood near me. Those people aren't on welfare, or badly
educated. They're probably quite smart professionally. But they eat
the crap they are shoveled while looking down on the blue collar people
at the Trump rallies. It's maddening.

Exactly. I mentioned that in my post about fundamental unseriousness in the previous thread. We've got several existential issues hanging over our head (debt, rule of law, medical system collapse under 0care, runaway federal powers, racial tensions, new housing bubble, impending financial crash), and what are people talking about?

Fucking transgender bathrooms and Trump talking like a frat boy. It's such a level of unseriousness that it goes past all language that could be used to describe it. It's nonsense's nonsense. It's the apotheosis of balderdash. It is fundamentally incapable of addressing objective reality and living in a world of where everything runs on butthurt.

I'm certain that out of a population of 330 million, there is one woman in New Jersey who was on the fence about Trump and swayed by the Miss Universe discussion.

Everyone else had already made up their minds.

I firmly believe the "undecideds" in this election are about .02% right now. The people who are going to vote for Hillary say so. Most of the people who are going to vote for Trump say so. The balance are people who are going to vote for Trump but who are in circumstances that dictate they plead "undecided".

There will be soon, but a nation of butthurt babies will be utterly unequipped to deal with it.

The WWII generation grew up during the Depression. The prosperity and frivolity of the Jazz Age must have seemed very distant in 1943. Many of those servicemen had already been though tough times before they ever donned their uniforms.

I don't see how a nation of mewling quims suddenly becomes a tough and serious people if adversity strikes.

Trump "talked like a fratboy" 10 years ago in a private conversation with a buddy. However, the media knows that the population has been dumbed down to such an extent that everything is at the level of 9 year old boys' and 13 year old girls' interest if they were mildly retarded.

This is why the pussy revelation backfired. It only made even more people eager to watch the debate. And Trump absolutely destroyed Clinton with her and perv-hubby's record as well as solid policy statements. Also, Raddatz and Cooper confirmed with many how the MFM are just hacks that are not to be trusted.

Let them drop another October surprise at their own peril. If Trump performs like he did Sunday next Wednesday in Vegas, it could seal the deal.

I think Trump has learned his lesson. Be calm, be yourself and fire away with the facts.

250 From Market -Ticker
He berates Shillary, then says about Trump

The other choice in this election is a man who has never in his life backed down. He took a billion dollar business loss fairly early in his career -- a loss large enough to destroy virtually any businessman and render him destitute. I remind you that the loss he took happened when the commercial real estate market was detonating and the SL crisis was a roaring, raging forest fire that consumed many people and firms. But this man buckled down, sucked in his gut, dug in his fingernails and toes, and did not go over the cliff or into a bottle, a bong or a syringe. He pulled himself up and out of the financial abyss that he fell into and ultimately triumphed to the point that today he flies around on his own, privately-owned widebody jet whenever and wherever he wants. He clearly has a big swinging dick and whenever the call presents itself he is willing to use it to get the job done. Further, he has demonstrated through this campaign that if you **** with him he will lay traps for you, he will bait them to entice you to step in them and if you are stupid enough to take the bait he will eat you alive exactly as he has now done twice to the media and to both Hillary and Bill last night.

Anyway, we were in the basement, talking about everyone who worked there blah blah blah....lots of shit-talking like teenagers do.

Soon, we heard footsteps upstairs and we high-tailed it out of there. After getting outside, we figured it may have been another employee, Virginia, who lived right across the street. Out biggest concern, though, was whether or not Virginia heard the pussy talk.

307 Macca Bean,

Krauthammer was a dem who advised Mondale against Reagan in 84 so it is a return to his roots.

In part, the Trump take down video was aimed at undecided voters and weak Trump partisans to drive down their turnout and maybe cause some to switch to Hillary. It is easier to discourage someone not to vote than to switch which is why both parties use negative advertising. Strong partisans simply ignore it.

308 Is the NBC poll one of the polls that shitbag Silver uses in his calculations?

If so, much as I hate it, we can't discount it too much.

(Yes, yes--I know he adds his secret sauce and that secret might totally discount an NBC type poll.)

There is only one thing I'm sure of this election: Who ever turns out will determine the winner. That is, what level of turnout from which groups?

Will the blacks and urban white women turn out like they did for Obama?

Or will the white men, who haven't been voting, turn out for Trump like they did for Reagan?

I don't have the time, but one way to tell is to go back to 2008 and 2012 and look at the evidence other than the polls that showed historic turnouts from key groups for Obama.

Off the top of my head, I'd say: Rallies, yard signs, shirts, bumper stickers, donations, donations and donations.

The problem with most of that is you can only measure it by anecdotes.

Hello there SP, how do you be?

As far as I can tell GAB has a random algorithm for selecting new gabbers. Somehow I got in fairly promptly even though I drew a very high number when I applied. I think they are experiencing growing pains because they have launched a live online interactive software experiment that has drawn a remarkable response and that is melting their server farms! That said, they've done a helluva job with patches on the fly and keeping the site on the air almost all of the time (very high up time for a developing system).

They also "forget" that the most horrendous part is that hillary thought it enhanced her personal achievements, while laughing about it in an interview a decade later.

368 Remember a few things;
- This isn't 2012 and Hillary is no Obama. She will not bring out the same demo or the same numbers.
- There has never been a time when historic primary turnout didn't result in a large general turnout for that candidate.
- This is not going to model with traditional elections of the past. There are people who voted in the primary who have not voted in other elections. There are a lot of disaffected people who will be voting.
- There is a lot of ground between now and the election. The information coming out on Hillary will keep dripping and have an impact either in turnout or voters. Remember thes are two of the most unpopular candidates ever.

In the end, this is closer than most people believe. That is why Dems want to try and suppress Republican turnout by floating the lie this is "over". It's not until the people have voted.

Either way the Republican Party is finished with its voters. The GOP knows it and it's why they are sticking with Trump- so they can try to stay neutral while pulling the #nevertrump strings in the background.

By the way, the big lie is that Dems will retake the House and senate. Look at the way the local polls are breaking. It will. Ever happen, especially the House.

I doubt something like that will happen under a Trump presidency. Unfortunately or fortunate, depending on your view, Trump will need to take a hard turn back the other direction to even get us back to where we were 20 years ago.

You are not going to be able to do that without using the exact same methods that your enemies used to get us here.

And....

Please don't tell me that if you use your enemies methods , you become just like them. Anyone that has studied the Revolutionary War knows the untruth of that.

In a Rumsfeldian philosophic analysis, I'd say 'You go to the general with the candidate you have, not the candidate you want!" If you're not willing to do that, winning the electionis not what really motivates your participation in the contest! He's right, I personally have no clue on that point, but I guess Russia has been all but saying so for weeks to the Obama administration. My guess is no one is paying attention.

Apparently in Syria the Russians think we secretly want terrorists to win in the civil war and the Russians think that's a bad idea. They continue to want that scumbag Assad to win, on the "devil you know" theory of the middle east.

So they are thinking of barring our aircraft from Syrian airspace and openly bombing areas where American special forces are operating.

408 I think the moral in all this is that government generally, and the President in particular, is not there to give your life meaning. The reason why so many must virtue signal through their Presidential choice, and why so many feel "shamed" at "low class" behavior by a candidate, is that they invest far too much importance and ultimately far too much ego invested in the government.

The whims and personality of a President matter far too much, precisely because we've invested much too much unchecked power in the Executive in our post-Constitutional phase. The phrase "elected dictator" is really not too far from the mark today.

But "Limited Government Baby!" doesn't seem to be catching on as a slogan.

Hillary is exposed as hating Bernie voters as much as the deplorables ... she is Wall Street. Even Bernie wanted closed borders ... they have to flip Trump with all that is coming out on how Hillary lies, knowing they are a "bucket of losers" and will fall for her crap.

Landslide Trump is in the making ... he can move as far left as he wants, at this point. We could actually sacrifice a virgin a day if that was needed to save our country from Hillary. Fortunately only the Clintons have to be feed like that. ha

They despise Hillary and know what is at stake but still consider not voting the top of the ticket. The soft R's find his remarks all the more reason not to vote for him.

Be scared, be very scared.

Now I must ready myself to go out and walk my precinct -- a living nightmare of people who won't answer the door, a few won't take my literature, and others are "undecided." I am skipping any Democrat primary voters and still can't find support from our side.

It's expensive to print up letters to my precinct, stuffing bags to leave on door knobs, exhausting walking, and now pointless. I do it for my children and grandchildren. My heart aches for what they have lost. I didn't do enough early enough.

I live on the conservative sites to console myself with the comments. Thanks for the uplift and the laughs.

449 2012 all over again. We have another psychopath identified. Research has shown that internet trolls are psychopaths. Psychopaths are very vulnerable and fragile once identified - since they know they are psychopaths. The only way a psychopath can get the illusion of power they seek is if people don't know what they are.

WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE.

450 "accompanied by Gloria Allred"

Either Trump leads regular people to take out all these (whatevers) from positions of power or war breaks out everywhere and all these (whatevers) find out why they should have backed off. DC is unsustainable without massive China and Saudi Arabia subsidies. See Venezuela.

451 Have they started checking your gas tank when you

to avoid the NJ gas taxes?

Back in June, NJ was a fuel bargain. I know because I checked prices when planning a trip to New England.

See BJ Clinton's picture when confronted by 3 women he raped. Guess he suddenly realized that God might judge him harshly.

453 "people who won't answer the door"

Might be having sex.
Might be taking a shower.
Might be sleeping.
Might be cleaning the kitty litter.
Might be running through the house naked.

Hang your literature on the door knob and go on.
One ring or one knock is enough.

454 For those familiar with Miami, maybe you can help me figure this out: In 2012 there were more signs for Romney in the combined areas that I drive through on a daily basis: East Kendall, Pinecrest, north Palmetto Bay, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. Sure, there were Obama signs, but the number of Romney signs was somewhat shocking to me. There was easily a 5 to 3 split for Romney. Especially surprising were the large quantity of "Fire Obama" signs in Pinecrest and Coconut Grove. And these were extra large signs, not the usual lawn sized signs. The only place we're I saw more Obama signs was in the High Pines area.

Now, surprisingly to me, in my very middle class neighborhood of East Kendall I have seen very few lawn signs for the presidential election with about 7 Hillary to 2 Trump so far.

What's going on?

455 453, "people who don't answer the door"

Your points are valid and I have considered them. Many have "no soliciting" signs and, as my daughter said, "If I don't know who is at my door, I don't answer." That would be typical conservatives.

The discouraging thing is that the folks I expect to be willing to vote Trump to stop Hillary, are not sure now -- very skittish or saying they won't vote or will vote for Hillary. When I offer, "At least Trump loves the country," they respond, "I'm sure Hillary does too." Yikes!

Off I go.

457 What will we as ordinary citizens be able to do to throw sand in the gears of the left's plans to harm this country? Or do we take the opposite approach and hurry things along faster then the slow boil the left can/thinks they can control?
In short do we grab knives and begin poking holes in the fire hoses or do we just start setting the proverbial fires ourselves?
As much as I hate it is it a better idea to burn things down now while we can still rebuild after it is over or to we follow the slow path like Venezuela?

458 Sure 11 points ahead.. also the 2010 midterms were going to be close... also the 2014 midterms were going to be a tossup.. furthermore the election in Britain looks like another coalition government for the Tories and finally Brexit is going to fail.. why bother yourself when the polling system is biased, bankrupt and a failure and the media perversely corrupt...

459 25 As I scan the scum and vermin in the GOP who are showing their true colors, I find it ironic that perhaps the last man standing who is defending Trump is . . . Ted Cruz.

Not to worry, J.J. Cruz is squarely in my sights come 2018; he's Dead Man Walking.

460 98 Gah, that pic of Hillary at Drudge. What a hideous clothing choice. A giant Weeble festooned in couch upholstery. Mooch will be jealous.

Lady, most of Hilarity's outfits appear to be made from purloined Motel 6 shower curtains.
