Community Agitator in Chief: Obama Orders National Security Workforce to Take Up the Critical Issue of "Intersectional" Identity Politics Theory

As in -- they should practice it.

President Obama is ordering all national security agencies to expand the use of “unconscious bias” training and address "intersectionality" in a late push for diversity and inclusion in the federal government.

The president issued a memorandum on Wednesday entitled "Promoting Diversity and Inclusion in the National Security Workforce." The memo requires all 17 intelligence agencies, including the Pentagon, State Department, and Department of Homeland Security, to report back in four months on their progress in collecting information about diversity in their workforces, such as employees' sexual orientation and gender identity.

Obama listed "diversity" as "our greatest asset" in keeping America safe.

Less important assets in keeping America safe: Intelligence, warriors, weapons.

As we all know, the enlightened, True Conservative serious-about-policy position is to support Hillary Clinton this election cycle. To save the party or whatever.

The end of the story, he gives up, resigns, after successfully getting a ban on ice cream through Congress.

Posted by: Colorado Alex In Exile at October 05, 2016 02:10 PM (FYrz1)

63 >>>Obama listed "diversity" as "our greatest asset" in keeping America safe.

As I've said before "diversity" is not an unqualified good. It is a neutral attribute, neither good nor bad. Or sometimes good, sometimes bad depending on the situation. Soup, salad entree is diverse. Soup, salad, entre, and a plate of dogshit is even more diverse.

In this context, "diversity" which includes people who subscribe to worldviews that insist that the west is evil and that the entire world be brought into submission to their unconstitutional, anti-constitutional worldview, is obviously a great *liability* with regards to keeping America safe.

I don't care about diversity of background, but with regards to our ethical values, a *monolithic* society is our greatest asset in keeping America safe.

The fact that Obama throws out this vague, equivocating rhetorical bullsh*t just shows what five star turd of an assclown he is. He has made the Presidency more diverse, but again in a bad way.

The "inter" part is a lie. It's a the cake is a lie level lie.

Intersectionality has NOT ONE TINY LITTLE THING to do with noting that we each, as individuals, contain multitudes and that those multitudes help from who we each are as individuals.

Nope. Nope nope nope.

Intersectionality is about reducing each lump of human DNA into composite parts and then decreeing, ever so gleefully, that each of those parts are more important that the whole.

It's dehumanizing.

It's reducitive.

It's anti-intellectual.

It's horrifying.

It can only thrive when those who push it have no sense that there was history before them and that history teaches us exactly and precisely happens when people are told to view themselves as parts in a subgroup rather than part of humanity as a whole.

82 Why doesn't anyone think "diversity" is an objective good? It's a proven detriment.

*Real* diversity is an objective good. Thomas Sowell makes a strong case that the cultures that advance the most technologically and politically are those that are not isolated from other cultures. American Indians were relatively backwards because they had no draft animals; no draft animals meant they couldn't take advantage of rivers for mass trade.

Similarly, you can map the places in Africa with the highest incidence of slavery by overlaying the spread of the tsetse fly; the tsetse fly tended to make trade difficult because, again, of pack animals; they were likely to die en route; and sub-saharan Africa had the added difficulty of not having navigable rivers.

Of course, actual diversity is the direct opposite of what the left means by diversity.

94 Intersectional?

Like having a black father and a white mother, but you are confused as to which race you identify with?

Or having a female wife and still yearning to be with a man? (I'm looking at you Reggie Love)

Or growing up in an affluent tropical community but trying to identify with the poor inner city neighborhoods?

That kind of "intersectional"

Once again, Barack's own psychological defects manifest themselves as public policy.

WTF?

These are people who went to high school and college in mixed environments, where such mixing was never even a topic of conversation (nor did it appear to be on anyone's mind).

It's remarkable to me how dumbed-down otherwise non-stupid Americans have become. Measurably, concretely, just in the last 20 years. They absorb the increasingly idiotic and pernicious crap churned out by the usual suspects, without question.

When I am in the mood to truly bat people around like a cat with a mouse, I explain to those in HR that I know how they must, under no circumstances, look at candidates' Facebook pages or other social media accounts as that reveals personal information, such as race and gender and age and orientation and religion and marital status, that must never be used in hiring.

Then I explain to them, in loving detail, just how hard they would be sued for failing to do the obvious due diligence of looking at Facebook and other social media accounts when performing even the most perfunctory background checks on a potential hire.

Because I'm a good person.

Show up and talk yourself and your diversity cred up. Look like the sensible, not-too-crazy person you come across as in your comments.

Yes. If you do it, it's illegal and prosecutable.

But it's okay if the government does it and mandates that you do it on their behalf so that they can more efficiently engage in behavior that is also illegal for you.

Let's say I were to require all my customers to fill out a form that is identical to the government mandated HR forms (or course, you are not required to disclose this information and none of it will be... blah, blah, blah). Then I proceeded to created marketing tailored to target these characteristics, promote division between classes, and solicit "donations" to profit from these divisions.

What do you think would happen to me?

However, if the government does it...

305 LGoPe, don't bother with his Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors, better to read Edwin P. Hoyt's two books that Hornfischer used as part of his source list. The Men of the Gambier Bay and The Battle of Leyte Gulf.

Hornfischer muffs a very simple fact. If he had merely written that USS Gambier Bay was the only US carrier sunk by naval gunfire he would have been golden. Instead he wrote that the ship was the only carrier sunk by naval gunfire which is factually incorrect. 1940 HMS Glorious with a deck fouled by RAF fighters was overtaken off the Norwegian coast and sunk by a German pocket battleship.

Then oddly he uses a fictional character from one of Wouk's works to criticize Halsey's actions to chase Ozawa's carriers. And then in another paragraph he compounds this by speculating it was this action that got one ship named for Halsey while Spruance got a whole class of ships named for him.

Speaking of sources, strangely Hornfischer doesn't use a third Hoyt book on Nimitz and his admirals as a reference.

I ordered some of those B-27 targets for the postal match since ya'all won't accept my standard target (Surplus UN Blue helmet shot clean out).

This week has been exciting and expensive for me. I was doing the pre election ammo and firearm stock up and purchased but have not received yet, a Finn Sneak Mosin (M-39), a P marked (Private Series) Swiss 1911 long rifle with the troop tag given to its owner in 1957 when he retired from the military, a Nazi marked WWII K-98 (S/42) born in 1936, a Po Po surplus Remington 870 Police Magnum in 12 gage and a Spanish 1916 rifle in 7 mm mauser.

I also ordered a Smith and Wesson model 10 that was a surplus prison marked guard gun (1 left) with a little brass hang tag but they called me back and that may not be available. I'm waiting to hear on that.

I collect military and Police surplus weapons. A word to the wise...get the Po Po surplus. Regardless of what BLM propaganda you may read, the police rarely use their firearms. The Police surplus are low priced, in great shape and rarely fired. The worse thing you find on them is some holster wear, or a scratch on the stock and a plethora of easily removed coffee and doughnut stains. heh. I'm not kidding about the coffee and doughnot stains either.

Oh and I found some surplus British 303 and some 7 mm mauser ammo so The UPS or fed ex guy is going to hate me.

Woo Hoo, I'm broke but happy as a Fat Venezuelan beauty queen in a mudhole.

322 I may be off base here, but I sincerely believe that within the next 10 years (especially if Hillary gets in) that a small airplane flying the Iranian flag will fly over either NY or DC and veer off course. Red flags will go up and just in the nick of time, some admin honcho will state that the Iranians are our friends and should be left alone. About a second later, the guys on the plane will detonate the two nuclear warheads on board and vaporize whichever city they're over.

This will be the legacy of our government class. All that work to accrue money and power and virtue signaling will end in a radioactive crater filled with the charred remains of hundreds of thousands.

Obama says he wants a report of ANYTHING within the next four months, and the government agencies should kindly send back a memo stating that it takes at least 6-18 months for whatever report he suggested and that they'll get right on it. Then they'll toss his memo in the trash and ignore it.

If Trump gets in, he should look back at the last government shutdown (when King 4Putt barricaded the national parks because fuck you, minions) and see that 17% was considered non-essential. Fine, he should say, starting there, all 17% of you are fired and blackballed from future government employment. That's the starting point, and he should only work out from there. Slash and burn through those agencies and departments and you watch how fast those assholes buckle to his will.

I've read somewhere that one of the issues preventing government agencies from firing people (aside from all the bullshit we already know) was JFK's exec order saying govt employees could unionize. In my fantasy world, Trump or whomever has the stones, would repeal that and everything else he, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Clinton, and both Bushes and TFG came up with that hampers hiring and the market at large.

I'd prefer this last option to happen, though I strongly believe we're due for the first one instead, unfortunately. Maybe if that does occur, enough Americans will stand up to the crybullies and say that's it. It sounds weird coming from a fatalistic start, but I do believe in the inherent goodness native to America's sons and daughters. Freedom isn't something that we just believe in. It's written in our DNA at this point to look tyrants and would-be kings and lords right square in the eye and say, "fuck you."

325 Those camps Hillary is planning? Are those the same ones in Tommy? Are we going to go through the same retraining that Alex went through in A Clockwork Orange? Too many literary examples of what the world may be like under President Hillary, I can't begin to name them all, but they all scare me to death!

326 The #NeverTrumpers like Kristol, Goldberg (hell, NRO) are still right. even though a President Hillary will allow the entrenched SJWs to go eleventy!11! on this important national security measure. "Diversity and Good Feelz is Strength" is a strong message to Putin. Very strong.

327 Obama cannot DO anything that cannot be UNDONE by the next president, so why do it? In hopes that Trump or some other prominent Republican will say or do something stupid that can be widely publicized in favor of the Democratic candidates. Keep your cool. Vote. Only a few more months.

328 Ive been out of full time work for over two years. Filling out job applications has become my new pastime. Every time I get to the ridiculous EEOC forms that want to know my ancestral origins, biological predisposition, and mental/physical health status I never answer correctly.

Right now a bureaucratic drone at the department of labor is puzzling over the high number of mentally ill, paralyzed, transgender, Pacific Islander combat veterans looking for work in my midwestern town...

329 The Princess Bride, as is often the case, gives great insight.
I am not sure that word means what you think it does.
