27 I'm tempted to live stream the debate, just in the hope of seeing Illary pull a vapor lock. But I imagine her docs will have her brain chemistry so botoxed it wouldn't dare to misbehave.

And since my last comment got willowed from the ONT...

Here's a really long but thorough write up of the 1993 Hillary! health care plan. As with anything Clinton, there were calls for a special prosecutor after key players committed perjury or covered up perjury. And you'll see plenty of names you recognize, such as Eric Holder, blocking the way to the truth. Shredded files, all of Hillary's emails turn up missing, etc and so forth ad nauseum.

My thinking is that in this election more than other recent elections, there is a very small slice of the electorate that can still be swayed at this point, and it gets smaller by the day.

So I have a hunch this first debate will be more important than it might in a different election.

My gut tells me the debate is his to lose. A) people expect the media to fuck with him and he's laid the groundwork by playing them like a Stradivarius these past months. Plus, we all remember Candy Crowley.
B) Hillary is detestable. Trump just has to hit her with the facts - which I assume he is armed to the teeth with.
C) Her health. By 9PM tonight she will be pumped full of more chemicals than a DuPont tank car. And considering she's 70 and feeling the effects of Parkinson's or whatever the hell is causing her seizures, those hot lights and no breaks are not going to help.

Go Orange!

That worked for Hillary in her Senate debate, when her opponent walked over to her and the media spin was that the big, bad meanie man was trying to intimidate the delicate little woman.

But how many voters want a president who can be easily bullied? I doubt Trump will repeat Lazio's mistake, but I also think Clinton will want to avoid appearing weak and in need of protection.

There's a big difference in running to be one of many senators, and running to be president. People want their president to be tall and strong and robust, not weak and sickly and squatty.

If that's their strategy, once again they're trying to 'win' a group that they should already have solidly in their corner.

The D strategy this campaign seems to be constantly trying to win over the people already in their camp.

She has not tacked to the center in this election cycle like most Dems would have done. She has stayed on the leftish fringe.

Her latest call for a 65% estate tax means she is trying to reign in voters who are historically 100 % in the Dem camp thanks to Bernie running on a complete Socialist platform and taking his voters with him when he left.

Probably no one would say she looks comfortable standing in front of cameras or taking aggressive, unprescreened questioning from the press.

The hard part will be for her to keep the kids from trashing Hillary's performance. Most of the kids come from conservative families but there are a couple who are staunchly Democratic.

Or it will create a yet another point of contention , provide another location to bus American schoolkids to and forcefeed them guilt, and be jammed down American citizen's throat , probably with it's own national holiday, widening the chasm between black and white and wasting taxpayer dollars that frankly would have been better used just paying off the loudest and noisiest of the racial grievance-mongers directly.

Witnesses say the suspect is firing at cars and other vehicles in a

He is described as a black male armed with a revolver. The gunman is reportedly still at the scene and bullets are being fired.
Emergency
vehicles are in the area of a strip center bordered by Weslayan,
Bissonnet and Law Street, with a large police presence seen near a
shopping centre.

178 Fenelon, getting teenage boys to wake up in the morning is ridiculously hard. And if the poor kid has to get up at 5:30, I don't blame him one bit!

You can try several things - maybe you already have. Like putting his alarm clock across the room so he has to get out of bed to turn it off. Or using more than one alarm clock. Or getting one of those alarm clocks made for deaf people where the light flashes, instead of a noise alarm.

If he has a smartphone (my 21-year-old does, but my 16-year-old does not), he can get an app that plays an alarm and you have to pick up the phone and solve some sort of puzzle before you can turn it off. Like a multiplication problem, that sort of thing.

Other than that, short of dynamite, I got nothin'.

Officers on the scene now seem less tense as we await confirmation that the suspected shooter is down, and our crew reports there have not been any addition gunshots for some time.

The HPD bomb squad has been dispatched after a suspicious vehicle was located near the scene.

No need to go to Hotgas; I have two article concerning that in the morning links.

The Choom King packing of the courts is felt again as the 6th circuit court of appeals reverses a lower court ruling to declare OH's purging of voter rolls IAW the Motor Voter Law compromise is unconstitutional. This is a common practice in many States to purge people who have either moved or have died by striking names of people who have not voted for a number of years. It has been around since I first started noticing these things decades and decades ago. And since the Democrats want to get rid of this then the Republicans should repeal the Motor Voter law. Most blue States do not do this anyway in violation of the law.

And here is a prime example why these purges MUST occur.

Up through college I had to have a clock with two alarms. It wasn't because I was a night owl either. As I've reached 29 like ace, it's easier to get up in the morning. I figure it has to do with the changes your body goes through as a teen.

251 It doesn't even matter what is said at the debate. The media will declare Hillary the winner. What matters, though, is what people perceive. The same thing happened in 1980. The chattering class declared Carter the winner, but the public saw a Reagan who was different than the doppelgänger the MSM and the left presented. The election ended that night.

Well, this was sent to NBC-

Dear Mr Holt:

Please excuse Hillary's absence from tonight's debate. She has been feeling a little under the weather.

Well, truth be told, that is not entirely accurate. Actually, she saw her doctor this week and has the following dianosis:

Pneumatosis, ichthyosis, halitosis, osteoporosis, scoliosis, idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, nephrosis, brucellosis, psittacosis, pneumoconiosis, neurotic psychosis, psychotic neurosis, deep vein thrombosis, failed re-anastomosis, bilateral proptosis, psoriatic anhydrosis, hemosiderosis, and supercalifragilistic expialidosis.

Holy Moses! She has a bad prognosis!

Oh, and just a heads up, she will probably not be at next week's debate either.

Signed: Hillary's mom

My daughter will just keep going back to sleep.

I couldn't go back to sleep if I tried, most of the time. But she can sleep late, through noise and light, etc.

Most times when there's an event to go to, she'll want to get up. But even sometimes then she falls back to sleep.

Reviewed the plans to renovate the house we all inherited in RI. There has been someone from our family on that piece of waterfront for over 100 years. Zoning board is giving us shit over a variance, but hopefully we've paid off the appropriate people to smooth things over.

Stopped on the way out to look for a convertible for the wife. Great Aston Martin in Cleveland, but not what she wanted. Paid $28 in tolls to get to a dealer in Bayside NY to look at a Maserati, but that car was beat up. Maserati of Westport, CT had a very nice one that she test drove, but she's not sure she likes the color. The search goes on.

Colors were just about to change on the drive. This next week would have been the ideal time to go on that trip.

yeah, they could fill a book documenting their accusations actually are cover for what they do on a much larger scale.

It is "projection" in part probably, where they do it defensively without realizing it. But it is also planned misdirection, keeping in front with the narrative. 347 CNN's Brian Stelter says Lester Holt is signaling to his NBC colleagues that he may enter the fray in Monday night's presidential debate as a participant rather than a moderator -- thanks to intense left-wing backlash over Matt Lauer's performance at the "Commander in Chief Forum" weeks ago.

But, again, it shows just how dumb all the TV personalities are, except for a handful, like Bolton, Gorka, people with real life field knowledge.

The Graham Norton show (British late night celeb show), has a segment at the end. A big red chair where audience members can come on and tell an "interesting" story. If it sux, then Graham flips a lever and they get dumped from the chair backwards, off camera of course.

It's hilarious.

Would be great for the debate. Say something stupid, bye! Lie to the public, buh-bye!

415 I don't know why we have these phony debates anymore. The idea that journalists should even be moderators is ridiculous as they are all just partisan hacks posing as objective, informed questioners. We should to drop the facade and just let each side pick two or three people from any field BUT journalism to ask the questions and they can be as partisan red meat or serious, thoughtful questions. I want to see the candidates dragged out of their corners and questioned hard by uncomfortable questions from knowledgeable people and have their answers analyzed. Lets just drop BS "objective moderator" format or drop these clown shows altogether.

Mr. Trump, the riots in Charlotte showed that black people are feeling threatened by the police and are exercising their rights by protesting.

How many unarmed black men have you shot this week?

420 "That's the usual pattern with celebrity poilticians.

Posted by: V the K"

Trump does have celebrity, but that came after decades of success in business, and already made a name for himself on that level. If you watch his testimonies to congressional committee on C-SPAN, you see both parties clamoring to compliment and thank him, for advice on tax issues and real estate stagnation.

He also brings up a huge issue, that tax incentives favored the stock market, which was driving a bubble, which Greenspan spoke of a couple years later as "irrational exuberance". But they never acted and we got dotcom bubble.

Trump also pointed out that incentives for real estate would have to be watched and reined in if it got too hot ... of course now we have zero interest rates for seven years, after $4T in TARP type easy money.

Arnold was only a weight lifter that married a Kennedy, outside his "celebrity" career. Bad comparison.

428 I wish we could have real debates, Oxford style.

Why the hell do we have to put up with media teleprompter readers as moderators? I say the RNC and DNC should agree on a list of topics/questions and employ a timekeeper only. Tell the media when and where the debate will be held and tell them they are welcome to broadcast it live if they wish.

yeah, we should have shot or hanged more commies for treason back in the 50's, before they took Hollywood and media and marched through our institutions.

They tore down that wall, but we mostly lost the covert domestic cold war, with men like McCarthy shamed to this day.

From the pictures I saw they put the boat up on a rock breakwater.

This summer we got tasked one morning to look for a buoy that had been hit. Some guys struck a buoy at night while on plane and did not slow down until they got to Pt. Mouillee in Lake Erie to fish. When they set down the water started pouring in. Towboat got to them as the water was at the gunnels and had to put three or four float bags in to stabilize that boat for the tow to Gibraltar. When they got it slung up there was a hole big enough to put a bucket in.

We found the buoy they hit (unlighted) in the channel between Grassy Island and Mud Island leading to Fighting Island Channel. It was all dented up, they rolled that buoy. I guess the Coast Guard wanted to send a bill for repairing the ATON.

Night is tricky for boating.

444 333 Honest question for the Trunpbots. Odds are very high Trump will be a one term President. There is going to be violence if Trump wins. Come 2020 Elizabetgh Warren will win. There will not be a Republican President for a generation.

Will it have been worth it? The enemies you are making will hold grudges and 2016 will be the last horrah for the angry old resentment set. Will it be worth creating a movement based on revenge against you?

I may be old, but not as old as Fauxahontas. She will not be running in 2020 - unless it is for a safe space in Costa Rica. And nobody will be holstering the limp noodle of McConnell/Ryan by then. So, yes... bring on the wailing and the gnashing of teeth, and the sounds of the screen door hitting #NeverTrumpers in their collective arse. GHWB, I'm looking at you!
