I think that probably the only thing standing in the way of Trump winning it is massive fraud by the usual suspects in the usual places.

That said, a lot of unusual places seem to be within our reach for the first time in decades so that might have caught the Cheat Machine off guard.

Trump might even surprise and win by a wide enough margin to thwart the cheating and even create a mandate (not the gay pron mag).

We shall see. But on the whole, feeling generally positive.

I am very familiar with thyroid issues since my wife had hers removed and is on thyroid meds now. I don't think I have a thyroid issue since it started when I quit smoking.

But not so surprising once you dive into the data. Carter cleaned up with the major urban market newspapers while Reagan took the smaller ones in flyover country.

There were so many newspapers back then, it skews the data when you try to compare with later elections. Most of the media did hate Reagan.

141 Saw "The Magnificent Seven" last night.

I have mixed feelings about it, but overall a good (not great0 movie.

To tell you why exactly would get into spoilers, so in a general way, here's why.

Fuqua can stage an action scene very well, but can't seem to stage private scenes all that well. Thus, the camaraderie that a movie like this depends on is severely lacking.

and the actors except for the two big stars rarely move beyond their assigned SJW-stereotype, which is used to define them as characters.

We get lots and lots of scenes, where they're all eating together and laughing. Ha ha ha ha - Jolly mercenaries all!

And the movie never tops the first Sergio Leone inspired stand-off/shoot out that comes at the middle of the movie when the M7 first arrive in town.

That was an great scene.

So, the big shootout winds up being a lot more yet less at the same time.

Two big dislikes:

1) I hate the current Hollywood cliche where all plots have to come together in a neat little spiral where the hero and villain have to have a frickin" backstory to be resolved at the climax.

The backstory is literally thrown in at the end for effect I suppose.

If you're going to rip off Leone (OUATITW)at least, throw a memory scene.

2) A sucker punch right at the very fucking beginning where the villain's villainy is blamed on EEEEvil "Capitalism" and obliquely God-

when what's really going on is a misuse of law and law-enforcement ala Hillary! and TFG's looting and destruction of the middle class.

So, you get that nice big sip of dog piss right at the beginning.

But it never comes up again after that.

But still....Mmmmmmm, Hollywood dog piss messaging.

As a transplant who has lived in CA for 30 years, I think there are significant differences in the way noo yawkers specifically, and a East coasters in general, communicate, express, and present. At first I felt really bad having someone tell me that everyone thought I was rude, since I was raised with pretty good manners, by NY standards.

Well, that's part of the problem. The Star System of Golden Age Hollywood created stars and had a huge backlog of great character actors to draw on.

Once you get beyond Pratt and Washington, the pickings are very slim.

The others just can't suggest anything beyond their SJW-stereotype.

Though I did like, the Jeremiah Johnson -stand-in actor, he was great. Vincent De Onofrio. He's a great character actor, who was able to suggest a lot about his character in the small amount of time he got.

265 I have family in Burlington, and hat mall is just north of me. Not exactly yuuge. There's a collection of stores and outlets that aim for weekend shoppers and Canadians stocking up. Very odd place for Mostly Peaceful people to show up, actually, but I could definitely see Hispanic, and possibly domestic violence related.

It is also odd because that area has a *high* concentration of CCW and general gun enthusiasts. Someone who would know told me close to 30% of the elegible population is licensed. Maybe bozo got lucky, or maybe he knew exactly what he wanted to shoot up and knew those people would not be armed. Lots of hunters in the area too. Shooter's life expectancy is not good.

Fifth person died this morning was a man. Photo of shooter on RT certainly doesn't look Hispanic. Maybe they are trying to pass him off as Hispanic, like Zimmerman, yeah sure like the WA shooter must be some kind of Islamic hispanic;-) cuz he sure don't look hispanic with that unibrow. Press conference from WA sheriff was scheduled for 8am, PST, but that was an hour ago. Wondering why the silence? Why the networks & papers aren't reporting this? Usually the gun scare de cats are all over this "gun violence". Makes me think it is Islamic insanity. Or is that the TFG speaking at the opening of "first" AA museum is more important than their guns are bad agenda? President B.O. working his pathetic last days trying to be relevant, ha!
