If Trump can make Hillary stumble with women tonight and the future debates, he wins the election.

It's the "educated" women she is overwhelmingly winning over. I hope the Trump team really did their homework on this.

45 My take on the debate:
Trump will attack Hillary and defend Americans;
Hillary will only attack Trump;
Trump will parlay her attacks as an attack on all Americans.

If you're worried about how Trump will do, watch his stump speeches.
That's all you're going to see tonight; Trump will turn every question and attack back to his stump speech points.

Trump has been testing those for applause lines; defense of Americans, attacks on Hillary.

Look a Hillary's stump speeches--her applause lines are attacks on Americans and Trump; the "deplorables" line was cheered.
The media will love it--will the rest of the country?

A Deeper Look:

What about the girl in the right background wearing a buff colored dress with black lace. She stands before a mirror admiring herself as she wears The reluctant Bride's discarded headpiece of orange blossoms. She is completely unaware of the emotional drama that occurs behind her. Or if she does, she does not seem to care.

In a sense, she, a younger woman perhaps or a girl, still believes in the fantasy and ideology of the wedding in contrast to The Bride. This younger woman or girl gazes upon herself relishing the day when she will wear such a headpiece. Her passive, narcissistic look expresses the traditional femininity of the dominant fiction that the central figure in white satin does not wish to enact through a wedding and marriage.

84 Love the painting, especially the composition. It looks like a visual version of a Jane Austen plotline. I'd imagine the girl trying on the flower headpiece is a little flighty; the two consoling the bride are caring sisters helping her through it, but maybe not understanding exactly why she is unhappy; and the bride herself is mourning the fact her single party days might be coming to a close.

Who wants to grow up, anyway?

99 Need a little help here!

Any of you morons have advice on which Hawaiian destination is best for honeymooners? (No, not me!)

Oldest son and his finance want to go there in April, and were thinking the Big Island would be best for them. I thought Maui. But truth be told, none of us has ever been there and we really have no idea.

They are young (late 20s,) but not the hiker type--maybe a little snorkeling and boat excursions. Would also like to see the waterfalls, volcanoes, etc. Looking for relaxing beaches, pretty sunsets, and a hotel with all the amenities.

yeah, and while Trump is direct with "Crooked Hillary" (provable that she lied repeatedly on several "crimes"), they are more devious. "Since it is fact Trump lies, we need special rules to spot check his constant lies". They move right past the false premise, and right into whether or not Trump lies will be fact checked.

Facts not in evidence ... except for Hillary. Of course "commies" wrap everything in such tactics, so they are accomplished at it.

291 so Hillary had CENTCOM and TFG intel on her little devices available to the world. This harkens back to Chinagate. Their excuse for letting the Chinese see out tech, (and taking money from them even then) was "multi-polarity".

They claimed the world was safer if we all shared our weapons tech, since apparently commie/Democrats believe the UN should really be running the world. (and of course the pay for play there pays well, and doesn't answer to our silly sovereign laws). "Leveling the playing field" was the excuse for declassifying critical nuke tech, and opening doors for China's spies to walk right out the door with laptops full of it.

So $150M get Russia our uranium and their own Silicon Valley (passing thru our defense tech as a bonus) .. but don't worry, it's all for your own good. And since you patriots are irredeemable and deplorable, we gonna need those guns, since you won't pass our psych eval.

309 This painting makes me think of Downton Abbey espisodes and Masterpiece Theater and good God that stuff bores me to tears.

The saving grace of this painting is, of course, the bride's expression. She's imagining the wedding night before her, when she consummates her marriageto the frail, slightlyneurotic and horse-faced Reginald, the son of Lord Henry Pinchbottom of the Mayfair Pinchbottoms.

Her family's position and estate are secured. All that remainsis the bribe to the apothecary and unhindered access to Reginald's ivory snuff box.

Soon, she thinks. Soon.

A review - from a client (One star):

"I would NOT recommend this firm to anyone. My initial interview was with
Desai. I was asked to pay a $1,500 retainer, which I paid under the
impression that things were going to be taken care of. The end result
was that nothing could be done to help me. I don't understand why I was
charged so much money for them to simply tell me, Sorry, we can't help
you. Besides that, Nathan Desai acted very unprofessional by asking me
(a paying client) out for dinner and drinks. I understand that attorneys
cannot guarantee outcomes or results, but I was very offended by the
lack of professionalism. I asked for an itemized printout showing
exactly what I was charged for, and they e-mailed me and charged me just
under $200 for giving me an itemized."

I called them and to let them know of the error, and simultaneously informed them that I would be billing them my standard consulting rate of $100/hr (or part thereof) for my time and effort on their behalf.

Their office manager laughed, and when I asked why she realized that I was serious and became flustered, recognizing, I suspect, that it was unreasonable and yet SOP for their own office.

I didn't do it, but just making the call was very satisfying.

It's like a beautiful woman with facial tats and ear gauges.

Well, I remember my elderly aunt looking at a picture of Brad Pitt in the early 90s when Pitt was looking as grungy and hoboish as possible - wearing long greasy hair, a beard, and a puke colored sweater with a hole in it.

She signed and said, "They sure don't make movie stars like they used to. Can you imagine Gary Grant going out like that in public?"

383 If he has now switched allegiance to Trump, I can only assume he's beefed up his personal security...

It's Uralic -- you can google it. Too hard for me to explain that's for sure. From some region in north central Asia.

I have never been able to conquer it. But I think (like with Russian) once you learn the alphabet it might make more sense.

I spent a lot of time in Central Asia and those native languages are challenge also. I am a very poor linguist.

386 I really like all the paintings by this guy that you've been using these days. Otherwise, I might be complaining that it's been entirely too much Toulmouche....

389 "Scott Adams"

Adams says he switched because of Hillary's estate tax. Woopee Goldberg once complained about estate taxes also. Could be a reflection of sentiment change in California and the estate tax gave Adams cover to switch.

I think the TV coverage of the riots hurt Hillary significantly. Everywhere.

391 "Any of you morons have advice on which Hawaiian destination is best for honeymooners? (No, not me!)"

That depends on what they like. If they refer resort-style comfort, then Oahu or Maui probably is for them. If they're a bit more adventurous, then the Big Island is the place to go.

My wife and I had our honeymoon after 35 years of marriage (we were dead broke when we were married, then had five kids to raise and educate). We spent two weeks on the Big Island, and loved every second. There's an enormous variety of landscape on the island, everything from prairie, to volcanic plain, to rain forest. The snorkeling on the southeast part of the island is fabulous; scuba diving off Kona is great (I strongly recommend the manta-ray dive). If you're interested in history, the former royal palace in Kona is worth visiting, as is the coffee farm maintained by the Kona Historical Society; not to mention Cook's Landing, and the Place of Refuge, and the various sites associated with Kamehameha the Great. And if possible, they should do the day trip to the Mauna Kea observatory - it's pricy, but worth every penny. And don't miss the volcano!

As you can see, we have a wonderful time, and would go back in a heartbeat.
