Two good interviews on Levin last night. Former NFL player Burgess Owens talking about the black "troubles" and then Mike Pence in hour 3.

Worth a listen.

11 It would be interesting for someone to compare the so-called "cost" of the economic fallout from the bathroom law on Charlotte versus all these peaceful protests. My guess is you could fit 10 or better NBA All Star games in that hole.

28 God must have a sense of humor. I get to Germany last week, having spent the run-up period worrying about ISIS pulling more terror attacks over here and maybe getting blown up. I arrive here and turn on the news and find there's bombs going off in NYC and mostly peaceful rioting in Charlotte, and next to nothing on the European front. Whatevs.

Posted by: T at September 23, 2016 07:17 AM (IKdzI)

29 So I was sitting here watching video of the Charlotte rioters, and their absolute refusal to acquiesce to proper authority.

And for some reason, I suddenly realized that in some cases, if not many cases, these individuals were students in High School just a few short years ago.

Now mentally change the scenes of the rioters responding to police to a scene where a High School teacher is attempting to maintain discipline in a classroom.

64 For those of you participating in the boycott, in NFL nooz last night, the New England Anti-Goodells beat the Don't Mess With Texans, 27-0, WITHOUT the best player in the league, Tom Brady.

Brady is still suspended for one more game, and America's Team is now 3-0 without him.

To add to the irony, they were led by a third string QB (after their second string guy was injured last week), a rookie. Black dude. I do not know whether he stood, sat or knelt , or what he was doing with his hands and fists during the playing of the National Anthem.

They don't. When they want an area, they force the blacks out like in LA. I remember reading in the late 90's to early aughts how the cops were surprised at how the Mexicans moved out the blacks. They said that black violence was pretty random while the Mexicans were a lot more organized.

It's ironic that two groups who massively (as a percentage of their population) support the Dems, blacks and Jews, are supporting policies that are going to lessen their political power.

yeah, the guys that say "we'll do communism the right way" in refuting the gulags of past commie regimes, need only look at Obama and Hillary to see they are off to a terrible start.

But communism IS rather absurd as a goal, in that it has the state deciding so much of how people live. Well treated slaves are still slaves, even if they have modern conveniences. Whethere 'tis nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of poverty

What is more nobel than hunting and gathering the things that make life worth living? For what is life without loot, I ask.

So go fourth and seek your loot, I say. Take what you find, because you can probably trade it for something else.

173 Just a comment in response to persona who said Trump is to the left of Clinton on trade.

The idea of left and right don't apply to Clinton when it comes to trade (and foreign policy in general) because we know without a doubt under a Clinton administration our trade policy will be sold to the highest bidder. Indeed based on her record we can be absolutely certain that every policy of Clinton will have but two goals, the maximum financial benefit of the Clinton family and maximum political control of the levers of government.

Who do you think worked the mines?
The Dominican Republic/Haiti became a shithole because the Spanish slaves escaped and were able to hide in the mountains that run down the center of the island. It then became too dangerous to move around anywhere on the island without a huge protective force. The Dominican side sort of survived that over time even after it lost its "first port" status to Havana. Haiti didn't and is, to this day, populated by escaped slaves. All the "black hispanics" of which there are many are descendants of Spanish/French slaves. In fact, the importation of African slaves seemed more humane at the time than working the natives, who tended to die easily. There was even some guilt within Spain, re Charles V in exploiting the labor of the natives.

I think it is more likely to motivate the white vote than to increase the white guilt or black vote. There isn't a lot of guilt when you see whites being beaten and tv's stolen ESPECIALLY since the white-guilties know the guy had a gun.

The real trouble doesn't come from the actual black population in the city but bused in outside Soros funded communisty agitators. They have only so many votes, although they are also responsible for a lot of fraud, but will do that regardless of riots.

Both use real and perceived historical slights to engender sympathy and spawn guilt in the gullible.

Both insist on being paid for those slights , with no apparent cap on the total amount of reparations to be paid, and have no problem using blackmail, lies and violence to encourage speedy payment.

Both will allow the "infidels" to march with them and serve their purposes, but not in the "inner circle."

Both insist on their special snowflakeness , convinced that they just can't function in society because victimhood etc.etc.

And they would still prefer to go back to Somalia. But if he hadn't asked these polite Muslims these pointed questions, they'd be Hillary's perfect example of the glorious magic of diversity.

The UN standard for refugees is to keep them as close to their homeland as possible till they can be returned. Why does Hillary want to bring more here at $65K each, plus maintenance, and all the inherent risks that come with lovers of sharia with high tendency to support/protect/become terrorists?

It was the way of the world, and had been for all of time. The only reason Charles felt a smigen of guilt was due to his being fairly religious for an emperor, retiring to a monastery and literally giving up half his empire to his brother.

The modern inclination to condemn the conquistadores/colonialists is quaint. Projecting modern moral concerns on a different time and culture is the height of arrogance. The stupidity of actually carrying around guilt because the world had different concerns and standards centuries ago is mind boggeling. Of course, that was created by the left to explain why some countries were "richer" than others. It can't be because certain civilizations or geography are better or stronger, it has to be because of "profit" which the communists always wish to demonize.

So Crapperdick is a big hero for shitting on the anthem but someone who speaks the truth has to be shut down. Welcome to our little banana republic. Fark the Mariners, MLB, and all of the little PC jock sniffers. Oh and if Seattle slid off the face of the earth it would be a much better world

318 Re that King David Gallery story, I don't know that site the story is on, so I checked a couple things.

Yep, according to Google Maps, it is there where the bomb was.

And here's an article that backs the idea that the owner is Jewish. I mean, sure, it seems obvious, but better to know.

NY Slimes link:

>>Some might perceive a roomful of broken mirrors as an unlucky omen. But Mr. Peretz disagreed. Because the explosion took place on a Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, the store was closed, and none of the employees were exposed to the blast. They were lucky, the owner said.

"God was watching us," Mr. Peretz said. "There's no question about it."

There's a church next door, too.

Agreed. The SoTU proposal I slightly agree on. I don't think it's necessarily bad for the president to make an appearance. But I don't think we need one every year either. They should only be given when needed. Like if we're in really dire straights.

Trump has an opportunity to change a lot of things like this for the better. I hope Milo is right about Trump just being much louder and bombastic version of Calvin Coolidge.

Well the middle class will be the "revolution" as I see it. The others are the "internal security force as powerful and as well funded as our military", that Obama wanted. Holder and Lynch back the other guys, along with Hillary's billionaire pal Soros. They are also taking control of local police departments under their racism BS allegations, using "disparate impact".

If they manage to break down law and order any further, real revolution would probably not look like riots in the streets. I'd guess their strikes would be more precisely aimed at the sources of the government coup, and at those trying to take our guns.

Come to think of it, I may be wrong to say Trump should end the SOTU address.

So Hillary's goggly-eyes is a thing, not a Photoshop trick.

How will she compensate at the debates? Watch and see if she turns her entire head when she wants to look around for effect. Another trick would be to shut her eyes briefly while she turns her head, then open them when she reaches the end of the turn. I bet she's taking all this time off to practice these tricks and keep her train of thought at the same time.

I don't know that much about (Lazurus?) .... but there were a lot of limits on immigrants, and Ellis Island checked them closely. The homeland concept for Israel makes sense for traditional America ... or any nation state really.

Pat Buchanan has a chapter on "The Triumph of Tribalism" in "Suicide of a Superpower", that mostly extols the virtues of avoiding forced "co-mingling" of diverse cultures. Obviously (from afar) the multi-culti thing is actually used as a weapon, while being forced on us "deplorable xenophobes". Hard to say if Europe is already lost. Some assure me even our own demographic destiny is set .. and not in "our" western world favor.

In the film, Bette Davis and Celeste Holm (as Karen Richards) are supposed to be best friends, but Holm despised Davis. As she told it, very early on in the shoot she arrived on set, saw Davis and said, "Good morning."

Davis glowered at her and replied, "Oh, shit. Good manners."

"I never spoke to her again after that,"
Holm later recalled. "Not ever."

That wouldn't work. If the eyes are open and you turn your head the eyes tend to stay looking at whatever you were looking at as the head starts to turn, and then the eyes shift to where the head is turned and refocus on something new. A better way to fake that would be to close her eyes as she turns her head, then re-open. Well, I guess Trump is the perfect candidate if you want a "no effort/no money spent" campaign. It's working out really well for him, too!

I shouldn't say he's not spending money. What he is spending is going to his properties by holding campaign events and meetings there and hiring consultants that work for his companies, etc. It's looking more and more like this was just a money-making scam.

Trump got a gift when Hillary collapsed and they had to throw her carcass in a van. That caused her support to shrink (didn't raise his own numbers so much). Trump decided he wanted to get that off the news (which he seems to always do when Hillary gets in trouble), so he brought up the Birther issue again and pretty much ended the race then and there.

I don't think even the biggest Trump fans will be happy when we see the final campaign financial reports and see just how much money went to pocketing it himself indirectly vs what was actually spent on the campaign.

They looked miserable. But I can easily imagine a woman who wears the chador (by choice or by force) might want to come ride the giant ferris wheel. Everyone wants to ride the giant ferris wheel.

Too late in my case but, my vote is set so it doesn't matter if I'm happy about it or not.

539 I've been binge watching Boardwalk Empire lately, and the similarities between the probably erroneous portrayal of the early gangster/politician methods and today's gangster/politician methods are quite entertaining.

It also makes me wish I could win the lottery so I could afford all the ammo and MREs that my family will need.

While I was at the gym this morning, I caught (without sound) the Hillary "Trump Will Start a Nuclear War Ad."

Nuclear war with whom? I thought Trump and Putin were supposed to be buddies?

534 I believe someone on Hillary's campaign staff hates her. That's the only way that screeching video got out. Fox has shown it several times, with accompanying grins by the hosts.

555 So Kerry knew that the State Dept was funneling millions to Kerry's daughter, but I think we can all agree that there likely was no intent to engage in your normal, everyday corruption that everyone who is anyone in the ruling class does on a daily basis.

We should just let the water pass innocently under the bridge. Are we clear?

I said, ARE WE CLEAR?

Yeah, watching that I got the feeling that *this* is the moment when everyone realizes she has lost. Thought that with the collapse, but the screeching about "Why aren't I 50 points ahead, you ask?!?!?" was epic - Lt. Cmdr Queeg/Mommy Dearest level cray-cray that cannot be unseen.
