I think it is more likely to motivate the white vote than to increase the white guilt or black vote. There isn't a lot of guilt when you see whites being beaten and tv's stolen ESPECIALLY since the white-guilties know the guy had a gun.

I live in lefty la-la land. I also belong to a list serve where people ask questions and try to "upcycle" things they want to get rid of. Lately, there has been a rash of "does anyone know how I can donate this (whatever) to refugees?" I hesitate to say I'd take it for my college student, because I think they are really married to the idea of helping "refugees." Agreed. The SoTU proposal I slightly agree on. I don't think it's necessarily bad for the president to make an appearance. But I don't think we need one every year either. They should only be given when needed. Like if we're in really dire straights.

I don't know that much about (Lazurus?) .... but there were a lot of limits on immigrants, and Ellis Island checked them closely. The homeland concept for Israel makes sense for traditional America ... or any nation state really.
Pat Buchanan has a chapter on "The Triumph of Tribalism" in "Suicide of a Superpower", that mostly extols the virtues of avoiding forced "co-mingling" of diverse cultures. A better way to fake that would be to close her eyes as she turns her head, then re-open. That would end up looking odd at best, and with a weak abducens nerve the eyes might go full wackadoodle when she reopens after moving her head (trying to refocus, if you will)

Trump got a gift when Hillary collapsed and they had to throw her carcass in a van. That caused her support to shrink (didn't raise his own numbers so much). Trump decided he wanted to get that off the news (which he seems to always do when Hillary gets in trouble), so he brought up the Birther issue again and pretty much ended the race then and there.
I don't think even the biggest Trump fans will be happy when we see the final campaign financial reports and see just how much money went to pocketing it himself indirectly vs what was actually spent on the campaign.

I haven't seen that but that could also be the result of a 4th cranial nerve (trochlear) palsy, as the affected eye would tend to deviate down and in, and a backward head tilt could help compensate for that. Once again though, doesn't appear to be continuous, rather is intermittent if real.

There's not just beer and pork. There's a midway with rides and games and stuff for kids, an agricultural fair (with goats!), a tent with just cake and coffee...I saw two chador-clad women there last year, they appeared to be waiting for the men to come back from having fun. They looked miserable. But I can easily imagine a woman who wears the chador (by choice or by force) might want to come ride the giant ferris wheel. Everyone wants to ride the giant ferris wheel.
And then I can easily imagine people who want to blow up the giant ferris wheel taking advantage of people trying to be understanding about that.

Yeah, watching that I got the feeling that *this* is the moment when everyone realizes she has lost. Thought that with the collapse, but the screeching about "Why aren't I 50 points ahead, you ask?!?!?" was epic - Lt. Cmdr Queeg/Mommy Dearest level cray-cray that cannot be unseen.
