Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | McClatchey Reporter: Yes, Jim Asher Told Me to Look Into Obama's Alleged Kenyan ConnectionHe doesn't say that Asher told him Blumenthal suggested this avenue of investigation, but why would Asher tell him that? A reporter doesn't disclose to a much-more-junior reporter what confidential source is pushing a tip on him. This is certainly a mile of confirmation for Asher's story -- many of the doubters, both the acknowledged Hillary supporters and the unacknowledged NeverTrump Hillary supporters-- knocked the story down by claiming "Well where's the reporter who looked into this, huh?" First of all: McClatchy ran the story on their own former editor's statement. They would have said something if their investigation had uncovered the fact that no one at McClatchy ever looked into this. So, the very fact the story ran at all strongly suggested -- more or less proved, for those of us not shaking pom-poms for Hillary -- that McClatchy had, in fact, verified this part of the story. Second of all: Well, you were wrong, guys. Again. But keep spinning for your gal. Still vigorously spinning for Hillary: Politico, naturally, and even more naturally biased hack Blake Housnell, who plays stenographer for Blumenthal, and credulously relays Blumenthal's claim that he didn't push Birtherism, no, certainly not, he merely urged reporters to look into Obama's connections to Kenya. What? Housnell pushes this crap despite his own reporting disclosing the fact that two McClatchy reporters say they were well aware that Asher and Blumenthal were talking during this period -- and then Asher, just coincidentally, sent one on a wild goose chase to Kenya. I guess, like Ahmad Khan Rahami's motive, we can just never know for sure.Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)Posted by: Mr Macca Bean (Make deplorable adorable again!) at September 20, 2016 01:01 PM (4ng05) 2
The amazing thing to me is that, for all the hate thrown at Trump and the narrative that he's a giant orange racist clown, he's been the only one to bring up ANY actual policies or policy issues in his campaign. Hilldog and the #Nevers haven't done anything but beat the same stupid, boring drum for months on end. It's one ginned-up story after another.

I really don't think this buys Hillary much of anything, my guess is most voters do think Obama was hiding something there and just reminds them.
I also don't think the love affair with blacks and Obama is anywhere near what it once was, most have written him off as their standard of living has not been improved. If you could trace back all the news all the time from multiple outlets you would discover that most news comes from a single source who whispered something into a reporter's ear. In some cases you might find two different sources who have some common connection. All the news is orchestrated. News repeaters don't do investigations and uncover the news. News repeaters take phone calls from unnamed inside sources who are not authorized to speak to the press, but do anyway, and have knowledge of the situation and confide in the one priviledged very import news repeater before the source hangs up the phone and calls to the next guy on the list. I watched an episode of Johnny Carson's show from 1974 I got from YouTube yesterday. One of his guests was that sanctimonious, hypocritical asswipe journalist Jack Anderson. In 1974, the Nixon administration was imploding due to the Watergate cover-up, and Anderson spent a good 5 minutes piously proclaiming how an adversarial press was necessary for the health of this country. Mrs. Muse laughed as I kept screaming at the TV "yeah, that 'adversarial' bullshit only lasts until you get someone you like, you pious prick!" I was consumed with ungodly rage.

I don't know anyone in that group who believes Hillary on this, nor have I seen anyone in that group say that. Not sure why they were included, yet again, in a story that has nothing to do with them. Many of them would most likely find a way to vote for Trump with story after story coming out about Hillary, but instead every story includes a catcall to them, which just makes them feel like they've made the right decision. I don't get Birtherism. The SCOAMF set out to destroy American medical coverage, manhandle the nation's economy, aid and abet one invasion of Mexican and Central American thugs and a second invasion of Muslim terrorists, and degrade our nation's military. He has single-handedly set back race relations in this country a hundred years. He has assembled an Administration full of race-baiters, incompetents, cronies, rentseekers, and anti-American panderers.
In light of everything destructive toward this country the sonuvabich has done, going after him because he may have been born a Kenyan is an awful lot like going after Capone for tax fraud, and disregarding all the murders and the rackets. The only difference between the two is that the strategy against Capone worked to some degree. It moved the headquarters of his criminal empire to the inside of a prison. ABC's Martha Raddatz interviewed Pence a couple of days ago for the ABC Sunday Show and she kept pushing Birtherism, after Trump punked MSM last Friday, while Pence wanted to move on. It's a real insight into MSM thinking. Read Raddatz's comments below with a tone of nasty indignation. She also has a face made for radio:
MIKE PENCE: Well, and I -- I know there's news reports that -- traces Birther movement all the way back to Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2008. But -- MARTHA RADDATZ: You believe that -- Hillary Clinton started the Birther movement? MIKE PENCE: I -- look. I -- look, I -- I'll let the facts speak for themselves. MARTHA RADDATZ: Well -- no, I wanna talk about the facts. MIKE PENCE: What I will tell you -- MARTHA RADDATZ: What's the truth of that? MIKE PENCE: What I will tell you Martha, look, I -- as I travel across this country, I say this very sincerely, verily -- very respectfully to you. This is not what the American people are talking about. Donald Trump put this issue to an end yesterday in Washington D.C. He respectfully said -- MARTHA RADDATZ: Why did it take him so long to put it to an end? MIKE PENCE: It's over. MARTHA RADDATZ: It's not over. This is, yet again, Trump learning something from the Democrats that other Republicans should have learned decades ago: when Democrats accuse you of something, it's probably partly because they are trying to blame you for their own sins. Which means it shouldn't be hard to turn the tables on them, and hang around their necks the evil they're trying to hang on you.
This has been a staple of blogitry for years now: the left accuses their opponents of what the left is already doing. But it has remained somehow uncouth to call them on it. Posted by: Stephen Price Blair at September 20, 2016 01:30 PM (2lndx) 168

neither is civility Posted by: Anon a mouse... at September 20, 2016 01:19 PM (C9pBZ) 100% disagree with this. Good lord, George W' civility and refusal to "sully the office of president" and fight back against the daily accusation of the left helped win the WH for Obama. Of all the things one could accuse him of, not being civil is about as far from reality as it gets. He has been virtually underground during the entire Obama presidency. He has steadfastly refused to comment on Obama's two terms, stating that he knew what it was like to be criticized as president and would not be engaging in it. His mother has said more about Obama than GW has, in that she doesn't like the criticism he was receiving from Obama even after Obama won the WH. It has been rare to even find an article about what Bush was doing currently during the last 8 years. Opening his presidential library and attending funerals of politicians, etc. is about it. My father told the other coaches he thought they should give me a shot at shortstop, because I had a strong arm, and could field the ball cleanly. He later RECANTED when it was discovered I had trouble going to my left, and transferring the ball from the glove to my throwing hand.
I mean, sometimes a father knows best, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt. Posted by: BurtTC at September 20, 2016 01:28 PM (TOk1P) Every fielder has a weakness (going left, going right, weak arm, whatever), just as every hitter has a hole in his swing. It's just something that needs work. In your case, besides implying work on going left, you'd just needed to cheat left a little bit until you improved. If you have a strong arm, you can still go into the hole and throw someone out. So your dad was off base. Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara at September 20, 2016 01:35 PM (SRKgf) 198

Harvey says he has no involvement in this lawsuit, which is being brought by Diversity racing owner, Terrence Cox. He said Harvey wanted to start a Nascar team and was denied by Nascar because they won't allow black owners. One problem. Harvey says it's a flat out lie, he never wanted to start a Nascar team. He simply wanted to expose underprivileged kids to Nascar and this Cox guy is using his name in his lawsuit. LOL. The Cox guy in his lawsuit is suing Nascar and and it's teams for racism...including the one team partially owned by Brad Daughtery, a black former NBA star. LOL. This is the general election. Electoral votes are apportioned and voted by state, not proportionally. Posted by: mustbequantum Maine and Nebraska have taken a slightly different approach in recent years. These states allocate two Electoral Votes to the popular vote winner, and then one each to the popular vote winner in each Congressional district (2 in Maine, 3 in Nebraska) in their state. Those who depend on the welfare state for survival, understand that the welfare state will be less generous when there are more dependents. It might tend to make them less that enthusiastic about open borders. I disagree. Internal pollsters get paid to try to be objective. Here are my assumptions, which if I were a pro I'd charge to validate: 1) Black turnout, especially among black men, will be lower. Trump should get at least a smidgen more of those who vote than Romney. 2) White non-college will have a higher turnout and a larger R vote than Romney -- this was Mitt's big problem, as this is the largest cohort by far. 3) Hispanics and Asians will be a push. 4) Youth turnout will be down, and many of those who do vote will vote for the Pothead. 5) Trump's challenge is with White College. Many of the Women here are die hard Hillary. Between now and November Trump can keep driving up her negatives, to suppress turnout. Hopefully the Rs in this cohort come home in the end.
