Tell me one thing that this politicized Press is not capable of doing.
Including faking poll numbers.

They add words to quotes.
They remove words from quotes.

They attribute the actions of one candidate to the other candidate.
They refuse to be intellectually inquisitive concerning events in the past, and in the present.
They donate money almost exclusively to one political party.

They are the unpaid volunteers of the democratic political machine.

So to lie about poll results?

Why the hell not.

FWIW:

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, said in a Facebook post that former Republican President George H.W. Bush told her he's voting for Hillary Clinton.

Townsend, a Democrat who served as Maryland lieutenant governor for eight years, posted a photo with the former president to Facebook: "The President told me he's voting for Hillary!!" wrote Kennedy Townsend.

Jim McGrath, a spokesman for Bush, did not confirm nor deny the claim. "The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days," McGrath told CNN. "He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim."

21 I wouldn't get too upset by that latest NBC poll that shows hillary in the lead. It is a survey monkey random online poll of adults and they are "counting" registered voters as likely voter because of this:

"Screening too tightly for likely voters can create unrealistic shifts in demographic composition"

They are jacking around with the methodology to get the results they want to get. At least they admit it.

23 The thing to remember about state polls right now -- the good ones that use the correct percentage of republicans, democrats, and independent voters -- can be extrapolated to other states based on 2012 results.

So if last election Romney got 48% of the vote in both Florida and Ohio last election (as example, but educated guess) and some poll shows Trump +4 in Ohio and -1 in Florida you know one of the polls is gaslighting with bad percentages.

Keeping this in mind, from what I've seen, Trump has 270 right now. Perhaps 300.

Cornered Animals Lash Out

I've said it before and I'll say it again - if President Trump doesn't punish the MFM, whether it be with RICO suits, pulling their broadcast licenses, pulling all of their WH passes, hitting them with libel actions, hauling them up on in-kind contributions to the Democrat party - IOW, if he doesn't punch back twice as hard, he deserves every single bit of sniping, snarling and outright enemy action he gets from them for the next four years.

If Trump doesn't deal the death blow to these pernicious enemies of the state, no one ever will.

The big opportunity - and the big question mark - is that masses of people from all political stripes know that something is desperately wrong with America. What they don't know is that it's all tied to Big Government/Statism/Democrats/Socialism etc.

If, and it's a YUUGE if, Trump can square the circle, we truly have the chance to at least begin the process of fighting to turn this thing around.

Frankly, I doubt he has the mindset to do this but that said, his speeches and statements over the past few weeks give me at least a glimmer of hope.

For that, I'm grateful.

CNN added the word "racial" to Donald Trump's Monday comments on terrorism and immigration, and is running headlines reporting that the GOP nominee is advocating "racial profiling".

But a review of the transcript of Trump's comments to Fox News that CNN quoted, however, shows that Trump never put the word "racial" in front of "profiling."

The decision by CNN to add "racial" to Trump's comments comes in the wake of intense criticism this weekend, after the network edited out a key portion of Hillary Clinton's Saturday night statement following the terror attacks in New York and New Jersey.

I didn't say that. I just have a fear that if not handled properly it could be used against us. Like every other weaponized branch of the government.

Damned good fear. Though I'm beyond cynical at this point and am pretty solid with the idea that if our enemies are going to weaponize government against us, we should do double against them and win this thing.

We seem to be the only side here that worries about weaponized government being turned against us at some future point. That calculation never seems to enter the minds on the Left.

81 The Bushes are pissed that Jeb! got beaten, that's all. They thought they were going to get a dynasty and didn't. In fact, I think, in the Bush family, Jeb was always the one they thought would be president not George and he was encouraged that his time would come--sorta an intrafamily Hillary figure. Even the Kennedys didn't get the level of dynasty that the Bushes wanted. Besides GHW is mostly dead, not as mostly dead as Ruth Bader Ginsberg or Bill Clinton, but still mostly dead.

But a review of the transcript of Trump's comments to Fox News that CNN quoted, however, shows that Trump never put the word "racial" in front of "profiling."

And here's Exhibit A. You've got to hand it to the Left - they think of everything. When their base is demographically weakened by abortion, their solution is to import millions of new voters. When the people vote against gay marriage, they use the courts to circumvert the vote and then use the media to browbeat people into celebrating the change. When old media's credibility is at a record low because Internet users can now find alternatives to relying on the crap the leftists shovel, they seek to regulate the Internet.

For every move, they have a quick countermove. They're damned good at this. Too bad they are not good at actually governing.

145 The way I see it, if a President Trump does nothing to the media, they will take away the lesson that they can lie, distort and blatantly insult a GOP candidate during their run and will suffer absolutely no consequences for doing so.

Trump has to punish the media. Denying them any White House access would be a start. But ONLY a start.

193 Democrats need to be careful with putting out stuff like "H. W. Bush is going to vote for Clinton" and/or the ad where establishment republicans insist they can't vote for Trump. They need to win the undecided and regardless of the political affiliation of the undecided, many (left and right) don't necessarily think highly of either the elder Bush, Bush Jr. or Clinton (or any of the Republican establishment). The last president we had that pulled support from left and right was Regan. Given the progressive nature of both the establishment Republicans and the Democrats in general I don't think statements like this help Hillary. In fact I think it is actually going to help swing undecided voters to Trump.

215 All right. Let's stipulate that, for argument's sake. Now, how should the GOP / Trump approach CNN for their selective editing of Trump and Clinton? What real-time consequences are appropriate. And spare me the "other news organizations are calling them out" frivolousness - that's the same as the herpes-ridden hooker on Main Street calling the chancre-infested hooker on Elm Street a skank. It's a "tsk, tsk, you naughty news organization" wink, not a punishment to dissuade them from lying again.

If the RNC wanted to withhold any Republicans from going on the channel, that would be feasible, though they would have to make sure they aren't hurting their own interests. I'm not wild about Trump withholding their press credentials, but that would be legitimate.

Trump Will Have to Win 2 Against 1 in the Debates

It couldn't be more obvious that Donald Trump will have to battle not only Hillary Clinton but the mainstream media in the three presidential debates that start next Monday.

pjmedia

yup - if he pulls this off, well, by golly, he will be "King"

Trump is lucky he had a tv and mogul "personality" already well known by all of the nation. Because the media would have already buried him by now, alongside the GOPe.

People are not fooled by the anti and never-Trumpers because they feel like they already "know" him to some extent. He was not an unknown (with a blank canvas as TFG) to destroy at their will.

Whether he will do a good job when he wins is one thing. He's very lucky otherwise.

This includes supposedly pro-Republican Fox News, which is filled with the kind of allies that exemplify the hoary chestnut "With friends like these...."

And strangely, the closer Donald gets in the polls, the more they seem primed to stick the shiv in his back (Sean Hannity excepted, of course, and, occasionally, O'Reilly).

278 Dear Debate Moderators,

Please excuse Hillary's absence from the debate this week. She is a little under the weather.

Well, actually she got overheated and dehydrated, felt woozy and required a teeny bit of assistance walking.

Okay, if you really must know, she had a slight upper respiratory tract infection and felt lightheaded.

All right, to tell the truth, she had right middle lobe pneumonia which her doctor diagnosed several days ago and as you know, she tried to power on through as any other extraordinary woman would do.

Well, if you want to be picky, she has had chronic recurrent pneumonia for several years, but totally not related to any other chronic condition.

Seriously, I'm going to be brutally honest with you. Hillary had a concussion that she suffered while dodging sniper fire in Sarajevo several years ago. This predisposed her to chronic aspiration due to central nervous system dysfunction and that's why she got pneumonia which led to her getting dehydrated and triggered a full blown convulsion and collapse, requiring her entourage to throw her bodily into the van.

Okay, here's the God's honest truth, she is at death's door, not to mention falling down drunk most days. So please excuse her absence from the debate last week.

Okay, I lied. She won't be there because it's THAT time of the month.

By the way, she probably won't be at next week's debate either.

296 All Catholic priests and orthodox priests, I would think, have to genuflect to the eucharist, not the cross or the crucifix (as it would be in a Catholic or Orthodox church). If they can't then they make as much of an approximation as they can. All other people also genuflect to the tabernacle (holds the Eucharist) and make profound bows to the altar when passing in front of it. During ordination, priests/deacons fully prostrate themselves, but I haven't seen it otherwise. I don't know what they do in the various orthodox churches re prostrating.

Are you going to argue that a "news" organization, which portrays itself as an honest broker, should not suffer consequences for that act?

439 >>American Sovereignty remains the biggest obstacle to their shared goals. Now - the Bush and Clinton families will disagree with how to use a stronger World Govt - but they both agree we need one.

The sad thing about this is it has all been happening in broad daylight for years but anyone who points out what is going on is branded as a loon or a conspiracy theorist. Global Warming, for example, was made up out of thin air (no pun) by a the globalists at the Club of Rome, where Bush was a member, for the express purposes of population control and worldwide income distribution.

This isn't hyperbole, they came right out and said so. And then they used their partners at various NGOs and of course the UN to push it around the world. They've been so successful doing this, with the absolute aid and comfort of the vast majority of "news" organizations that AGW is taken as fact by most people and those of us who point out the obvious, it isn't getting warmer, the seas aren't rising, etc., are called lunatics.

Sure the msm is fighting Trump. They fight anyone who isn't of the body.

God alone knows. This has been such a different election cycle neither of the candidates can be predicted accurately. First, Trump is a great actor and you do not know which Trump will show up - it could be the reality show boss, the celebrity magazine showman, or the sober businessman and negotiator. He uses different personalities to get himself a certain effect and which effect he is looking for I don't know.
Second, Hillary is usually predictable because she projects a wonkish image about herself; however she also has a fierce temper and is having medical issues which can affect personality control.

Which candidate you will see is up in the air: Trump chooses which character he is going to be; Hillary may not be able to maintain her choice of character.

503 In late October 2012 I came out against Romney and Ryan, based on some calculations which I knew most of the HQ wouldn't agree with. I absented myself from arguments about that here. I posted about them on my blog but didn't bother you guys here.

I think that might be a model for #nevertrump this year.

I agree with this.

And Clinton is a lying power-hungry schemer who belongs in prison. I'd make that my signature, if I could.

508 Dagny, are you and the cobloggers willing to let things slide in the name of solidarity to whatever we call ourselves now if I called your mama a whore? Would you make preparation H jokes about your own butthurt?

509 Just wondering, because what Trump repeats about Cruz's is warmed over, far left, KGB/Oliver Stone bullshit that's not only a lot worse than that, but was part of their long term plan for dividing up the U S. And Trump was winning without it and still felt the need to spread that shit.

510 I wonder about that shooting in L.A. There is quite a lot of tension and war between the Af Americans and the Hispanics. Since no race of the shooters was mentioned, I assume this was the cause here.

511 "This secret monster vote shit isn't as crazy as it seems."

I had the same experience last weekend at dinner. Two diehard Dems are looking at Trump. Hillary's collapse and her lying reasons cited.

The Zombie Press: "OMG! He just compared WWII to a minor house fire!!!"

Learn some tricks, poodles--your act is so stale.
