Chaser: Confession of a Hillary Insider, by Larry Johnson.

I am shocked at the audacity of Hillary Clinton to decry Donald Trump as a birther because her campaign not only pushed that item in a bid to discredit Barack Obama, but mounted a sustained campaign attack Obama on a broad array of issues. How do I know? I was part of that effort and was in regular email and phone coordination with Sidney Blumenthal. Sidney was the conduit who fed damaging material to me that I subsequently posted on my blog.
In some cases Sid Blumenthal actually provided a piece that I would slightly modify and publish under my name. Most of the time, however, Sid provided background information and researched material that I would use to craft pieces. How many? I am providing the links to 63 blog articles that I posted (and in one case was posted by Susan Hudgens, who assisted with the blog) between January 2008 and June 30, 2008.
Here is simple summary of material (in writing or through a verbal briefing) that I received from Sid?
1. Information surrounding the corrupt business relationship between Barack Obama and Tony Rezko.
2. Information about Barack Obama's ties to Palestinian radicals.
3. Information concerning Barack Obama’s longstanding ties to the American terrorist, Bill Ayers.
4. Information concerning Barack Obama’s close ties to radical clerics--i.e., Jeremiah Wright and Father Michael Pfleger.
5. Information concerning allegations that Barack Obama was not a natural born citizen.
6. Information concerning Barack Obama being adopted by Indonesian Muslim Lolo Soetoro.

There's more -- he says Sid pushed him the Michele Obama "Whitey" tape too. ( A fiction, it turned out -- Johnson says Sid "played" him on that.)

Now, I think he might have published this before my tweet, meaning, well, my bold prediction was about the past.

But still I'm going to mark this up as a hit.

But we know who DID start it:

Barack Obama.

He himself in the catalog listing for his first book stated that he was born in Kenya.

Once that was uncovered and people started whispering, he PURPOSELY withheld revealing his birth certificate in order to stoke the rumor and make his opponents looks like kooks and conspiracy theorists.

Well, consider the Dem push to let felons vote. If the felons are going to vote D, the least the Ds can do is make life a little easier for the felons, by disarming their victims. They don't want a Hillary voter to get shot by some deplorable while he's breaking into a house.

As someone who followed the various birther theories as they went along, my impression is that Blumenthal was just thoughtlessly pushing the stupid stuff, not any legitimate questions.

The idea that Soetoro adopted Barry in Hawaii doesn't make much sense. If you read his FOIA immigration papers, Soetoro from the time they were married was always just one INS notice away from being sent back. And then he was sent back, and they were living in Indonesia. When Barry appeared in Hawaii again to live with his grandparents, the Lolo-Stanley Ann marriage was deteriorating and he certainly would not have adopted him under Hawaiian law at that time.

But did Soetoro adopt Barack under Indonesian law when they first moved there? That we do have evidence of, and it makes sense. We have Barack's school enrollment in Indonesia under the name Barry Soetoro and as an Indonesian national.
