Leaked DNC Emails Discuss Pay-for-Play Scheme For Ambassadorships By Cunningly Using the Codewords "Pay for Play"

It's hard to claim you're not talking about a pay-for-play scheme when the actual words you're using are "pay for play."

payforplaydnc.jpg

This just proves more than ever that Trump must release his full medical records.

The Washington Examiner writes:

The same Democratic law firm working with Google to provide people with election information helped the Obama administration to run a "pay for play" operation that could explain how ambassadorships were awarded during Hillary Clinton's tenure at the State Department, according to new leaked documents purportedly from the Democratic National Committee.

...

A separate document lists the presidential appointments that were doled out to donors. That list notes the highest bidder, Matthew Barzun, contributed $3.5 million to President Obama's first election in 2008, and subsequently received an appointment as America's ambassador to the United Kingdom and Sweden in August 2009.

Julius Genachowski, who donated a little more than $3.4 million, was appointed chairman of the Federal Communications Commission in June 2009. Frank Sanchez, who donated nearly the same amount, was awarded a position as undersecretary at the Commerce Department in 2010.

All I see here is a strong, capable woman POWERING THROUGH a list of pay for play donors and courageously doling out ambassadorships.

No. Trump hasn't even been the sos, so he can't make any kind of promise not to participate in any pay to play scheme like he did during sos days. Hell, trump even admitted to giving money to Hilary's election campaign in order to get favors from her at a later time. This is way worse. And trump is fat and needs to release his tax returns.

A lot of these donors are bundling money from smaller donors together. They pitch in a couple hundred thousand and the rest comes from checks that they've collected from friends. That's what those $1000-a plate dinners are all about.

Second, even without a direct payout, an ambassadorship is a status symbol. It demonstrates to all your friends that you know the right people and have some measure of influence. Plus, most of these ambassadorships are basically paid vacations. You spend a couple of years in Europe or Asia going to lavish parties and cultural events, while your staff does all the real work.

Power. Not direct power like the Presidency but you are at least in the game with all the power players without having to run for office. And you pretty much have zero accountability unless you get something like Libya. But they usually go to lifers and not the people who buy in.

I would take the ambassadorship of a bunch of places before the Presidency.

101 Ambassadors can be bribed, especially for visa approval in certain foreign countries. And for their presences at events and parties - in third world countries, dictators love to have the US Ambassador as their special guest at parties - to impress their guests and show off clout. 151 This scandal is beyond outrageous. Absolutely impeachable offenses for both Obama and Hillary.

Prior to Watergate, the most famous and "outrageous" scandal in American political history was the Teapot Dome Scandal. It was considered absolutely shocking.

What was the Teapot Dome Scandal?

A "pay for play" scheme in which a SINGLE donor bribed a SINGLE federal official to get a no-bid contract for oil drilling on a small parcel of Federal Land in Wyoming.

That's it.

Compared to this DNC pay-for-play scandal, Teapot Dome was small potatoes, total amateur hour, mere 1% of the bribery and payouts of what the Democrat Party does as a matter of course.

And yet the Teapot Dome Scandal almost brought down the government and was considered to gave shaken the foundations of democracy itself.

This one "document dump" alone, all by itself, is enough to completely disqualify Hillary for office. In fact, she should be in jail right this minute.

Forget about the private email server and compromising national security and all the rest of it. The DNC's pay-for-play scandal is a thousand times worse.

"We get up to a hundred calls a day from Hillary's low-income supporters complaining about multiple unauthorized charges," a source, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of job security, from the Wells Fargo fraud department told the Observer. The source claims that the Clinton campaign has been pulling this stunt since Spring of this year. The Hillary for America campaign will overcharge small donors by repeatedly charging small amounts such as $20 to the bankcards of donors who made a one-time donation. However, the Clinton campaign strategically doesn't overcharge these donors $100 or more because the bank would then be obligated to investigate the fraud.

Please remember that your mission is to support Hillary Clinton's election, at all costs, and to do otherwise will make a lot of trouble for us, what with your scheduled audits to he dawn of human history, your required OSHA compliance audits, EPA reviews of your electrical usage and the bathrooms in your basement "office", and-- lets not forget -- the really distressing "chair test", wherein we chain you to a chair and throw you in the Hudson to see if you float. The good news is that, if you do, that result will have some dispositive impact on the remainder of our interrogations.

So, please! We have lots of other stuff to do! Don't publish any embarrassing material about Democrats, and support Hillary with all your heart, and we might just be able to leave you alone.

Wouldn't that be better?

196 I saw this "pay to play letters" thing the other day. It appears to refer to compliance with the SEC "pay-to-play" rule, and letters from the donor acknowledging that they're aware of the rule and that they will comply with it.

I haven't dug deep enough to know whether the rule requires that political donees need to keep records of these letters for compliance, but it does seem like a legitimate explanation. I wouldn't go too far out on a limb pointing to that email as a smoking gun without understanding the P2P rule better.

Now tell me again why a President Trump should not bring down the Anti-Trust thunder gods on Google, Amazon, Apple, and a few others. Before that we give them the IRS underworld gods to play with.

I know, I know, we are conservatives and capitalist and must stick to our principles of small government. My response: In a war where one side plays by no rules, we are under no obligation to play by them either. The only way to compel a enemy to play by rules is to make them feel the consequences of not playing by the rules. Hence they must suffer rule-less world too.

They wanted big government, then lets give them big government. Start making examples of a few American now turn loyally International corporate giants, of the consequences of being for big government. It is also justice, because all these companies have no problem supporting big government for the rest of us, why not give it to them as well.

And giving it a fair reading, my hypothesis is that their process for handling donations from people who are subject to the SEC Rule is special in some way due to recordkeeping requirements; and they want to make sure that after the recordkeeping process is handled, the checks then get deposited in the account. But I'm not a securities or elections lawyer, so hoping someone with more expertise will chime in.

How do you stop an opposing army from just giving dirt naps to your captured troops? The threat that you will do the same in retaliation for their captured troops.

For too long the upper class progressive Democrats have not had to live under the consequences of supporting big government.

Democrats obviously don't make them suffer under the rules they created for the rest of us...see Pay for Play above. Conservatives don't make them suffer under it because of their "principles".

So right now they have the best of both worlds. They support Democrats to give them passes in terms of tax laws, regulations, etc., while forcing the rest of us to live under those rules (including their business rivals), while giving us a nice heaping helping of social justice. If Republicans win they know the GOP will lower taxes for them while they still support Democrats to take out the GOP to give us Social Justice utopia.

No. We don't have to feel bad for making them live under the same rules they made us live under. We don't have to feel shame to give them the world they created for us.

To me principles should never stand in the way of common sense and equal justice.

I think we're arguing here at cross purposes. The childcare thing is another entitlement program. To try and fuck it and suck it as something else is not being honest with oneself. The sad truth is that we have for all intents and purposes a liberal running against a Marxist criminal.

There's no choice there. But again, I'm not going to suddenly cheer the guy for this program when I know it's wrong. And if he's such a great communicator and has the ear of the nation, surely he can explain WHY it's warmed over big government socialism.

But, no. I'm defeatist and an asshole.

Posted by: J.J. Sefton at September 15, 2016 06:07 PM (9P3OG)

315 Lest we forget why we hate Progressives, a new report is out detailing the ongoing train wreck that is ObamaCare. In it, they forecast (and these are the people who like the program!):

"Premiums will need to increase, but in a market where 85 percent of enrollees get financial support, maybe there's been too much focus on premiums," he said. "The exchanges will triangulate toward a sustainable midpoint-- which will likely include higher premiums, Medicaid--like provider networks and utilization controls, and a federal government willing to disappoint other stakeholders in the interest of improving the risk pool."

So, high costs, rationing, prevention of access to necessary procedures even for people who can afford to pay on their own, and continued narrowing of the available networks (meaning you might have to go a long distance to find an in-network doctor and even then, you'll wait a long time for an appointment.

These are the people talking who think this program is great. Matt Bevins might have been right.

Did I even mention childcare Or that you are a "defeatist and an asshole"? Maybe someone else did, but not me.

I am talking about certain big companies based in America who have decided to join big government for profit and for social justice. Yes you can obviously profit a lot off big government. For example German companies loved it and one of the reasons they loved them some Hitler.

Sort of a hitch in the whole, "big corporations are always right" view the GOP has taken the last 20 plus years. Principles that get the country destroyed are not principles, just blind stupidity.

357 And, worse yet: I believe the voltage is so high coming off the turbine, that by the time it's stepped down, like 90% of the energy produced gets dumped as heat into the ground.

Posted by: Brave Sir Robin at September 15, 2016 05:32 PM (SeD0w)

Uh, no. That's what transformers are for. Transformers, like the utilities have used for the last century to drop voltage from transmission line level to end-user level.

Wind turbines are more than sufficiently bad in their own right; we don't need to go making up easily-refuted bullshit against them.

362 BLUEBELL the vid was removed after I'd watched about five times. AND then poof GWTW and frankly my dear it is a clintoon slayer. The link was in comments section. Gone. It is much worse than the right rear vid by Mr. Cedenza. When I viewed it I knew it was extemely telling of how sick she is. There was no metal barrier or personnel to obscure my view of all her, head to twinkle toes.
They also briefly did a flip of the cedenza vid so it appeared as a left rear view point.
Too obvious so it vanished the same day. I know what I saw. Gaslighted I was. As Mr. Universe says , can't stop the signal Mel. Can't stop the signal.

Looked like a gran mal seizure. My 2 cents is Huntingtons corea-for the win.
