Not to be nitpicky. Okay, no, I am being nitpicky.
But when I see headlines like "DHS Buries Report", isn't that an oxymoron? They obviously didn't bury it too deeply. I've seen this story in about 4 places so far on the internet since yesterday. Should probably change that headline to "DHS ATTEMPTS but FAILS to bury report", right? It's like when they say "Secret Documents Reveal blah blah blah" Secret documents. Uh huh. President Obama has enlisted Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) to help him make a final push for his stalled Asia-Pacific trade agreement. Kasich will attend a bipartisan meeting on Friday at the White House meant to tout the benefits of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The Ohio governor will also appear alongside White House press secretary Josh Earnest at his daily briefing. "Frankly, I welcome it," Kasich said of backlash to his decision to join the effort, speaking of putting the country over the party. The Hill Figlio di postino. Back in 07 when 0bama came out of nowhere to snatch the nomination away from Hillary Clinton I predicted that was the end for her, because of her age. She's done her damndest the past year to make it appear age wasn't a factor but she finally got caught.
From placement of reporters and photographers away from her getting in and out of cars and planes, limiting her schedule, limiting or eliminating questioning, the MSM has gone along like the complicit idiots they are. If not for the muttered grumbling of a few, amplified through the efforts of Matt Drudge and Breitbart, we would hardly have had an inkling of what was going on. We deserve to know the truth damn it. But if Hillary Clinton somehow puts together the massive voter fraud required for her to win she will find some means to shut down Drudge and Breitbart, the only people willing to stick their necks out in a nation of over 300 million. Obama created the misinformation that started the entire "birther" thing. Yeah, the Hillary campaign did pass it along, but It seems pretty obvious that not only did Obama's publicist but Obama, himself, probably used his faux Kenyan birth to further his fortunes while in college (all of that stuff is locked away, of course).
The irony of all ironies is that Obama's opponents ended up picking up his lies, mostly because they were so convenient, only to make themselves look silly. The Lame Stream Media is on a "birther" boner today.
The issue is the someone in the Obama family lied. One side said he was born in Africa, the other that he was born in Hawaii. Both can't be true. So an Obama LIED!!!! The way to strengthen the claim of the Hawaii sect was to provide his birth certificate. They declined to do so, even though it is a constitutional requirement to become President. If nothing else, the whole "birther" issue proved that Barack Obama is anal-retentive when it comes to providing legally required documentation. Further evidence to that effect accumulates every day. A possible cause of this disability is (RCF) Rectro-Cranial Fistula, AKA "head up one's ass". Posted by: MachiasPrivateer at September 16, 2016 08:15 AM (EMi53) 91

Posted by: Misanthropic Humanitarian at September 16, 2016 08:12 AM (voOPb) I think we can get back there again, but it's going to be a process of decades. There's not going to be a single hero, a perfect candidate that will pull us back from the brink and restore our system to what it's supposed to be. We need an entire party dedicated to reforming our government to be in line with the Founders vision, and (the selling point to the moderates and undecideds) fighting the corruption that wastes their hard-earned money. And hey, the Reform Party's already on the ballot in just about every state, despite being effectively defunct. A bunch of Morons changing their registrations could take it over, draw up a platform, and automatically be on the ballot. The Republican Party is already a big-government, european style globalist party that only differs from the opposing party over which constituency it lies to.
It's not going to suddenly turn back into the party of Reagan again. There's nothing we can do to get it there. We'd be better off destroying it and trying to build something new the way we want it. Posted by: Cato the Rebel Without a Party at September 16, 2016 08:09 AM (J+mig) --------------- No, the Republican Party is a party that ostensibly follows a Conservative (that is, classically liberal) ideology. Too often that ideology is sacrificed by go-along-to-get-along weasels who are preoccupied with maintaining their own position and power. The party does contain some people - few in the upper echelons, a lot at the grassroots - who actually fight for Conservatism. And occasionally, the party does actually achieve Conservative goals - when the weasels can be persuaded to help. Under Trump, the weasels will remain. Their main skill is in survival, and they'll adapt to the new tone and thrive. Trump will work with them, just like he'll work with Reid and Pelosi - he certainly won't ostracize them for being insufficiently Conservative. The party will embrace big-government ideals (expanding Medicaid, paid child leave, etc.). Conservatives at every level of the party will either give up their ideals or be cast adrift, replaced by Trumpians. The Trumpy party rump will have the electoral machinery of the GOP and the "conservative" media voices like Hannity and Rush. You might not think Conservatives can be worse off, but just wait. Howie Kurtz makes a great point, saying Americans are perhaps desensitized to the terrible things politicians say about each other. At least, they seem not to be listening to Hillary Clinton.
Hillary has spent the last few weeks calling Trump a loose cannon, racist, misogynist, unfit for office, frightening, a clown, a reality show cut-out, dangerous and a business failure several times over, but-- despite all that -- Trump keeps rising in the polls. So what to do next? Has she anything left to say, that will effectively vilify him? Or (horrors!) is she going to actually get out there and compete? Of course the MSM is in the tank for Clinton. All the way and then some.
Which means the GOP candidate needs to be very, very smart and not help them. Like, say, by refusing to support his own campaign's stated position on an issue. That Hillbot has gone from posting glowing stuff about Hill all the time to a sort of pathetic "But, please give her a chance..." posts about once a week. She is wealthy and early in the campaign, she and her wife got several photos taken with Bill Clinton--I have no idea what that cost them. It was very disturbing to see Bill clutching these middle aged lesbians as tightly as he could.

Obama probably still managed to hide things on his birth certificate, other than place, but who knows. I'd like to know more about his college career and what subversives were his mentors and financiers, that saw such hope in their young clean little commie.
Barry never seemed to really write anything on his own, except some 6th grade level poem, and then the Ayers ghost written "auto-biographies" that painted the dreamy vision of his (drunk bigamist) father. So Trump can pin the birther issue on Hillary, then say he got some truth on Obama. "But it's Hillary that hates the Obamas still, have you seen the recent emails? Ai yi yi!" Then Trump can pivot to "still waiting on the truth about Hillary's records" ... when did she covertly start the war in Libya, before we got involved publicly months later. And why was she getting intel from Blumenthal, and what were his interests. Posted by: illiniwek at September 16, 2016 09:11 AM (niOEf) 302

There are some articles today about how the Clintons and Obamas sold ambassadorships for campaign contributions.
I don't care. There are a group of people who believe ambassadors should be chosen on merit from the diplomats in the State Department. That would be a disaster. Ambassadors, from the beginning of civilized society, should be people who are close to the ruler of the country sending them. Most preferably, a relative. Ambassadors should be people who could get the ruler on the phone even without the appointment. They should be people who can talk honestly and on par with the president. They need to be a buffer between the host country and the State Department "head of station" who is an ongoing fixture and might have a totally different agenda than the president. An ambassador needs to be someone who can correctly convey the tone and meaning of a president's message or actions. Let the State Department provide an aide who can fill in the details and provide local knowledge, but as far as being the president's personal representative, leave that to close friends and family. Then we know our duty: It is to help those like Stephanopoulos by continuing to spread the message he was sent with, shouting to all who will listen how deeply concerned we are by the message that George Stephanopoulos has been sent with, and that if this message is not treated with the seriousness that George Stephanopoulos wants his message treated, then it means trouble for Donald Trump, who should drop everything and address that message. I am a concerned Christian conservative that has concerns, fear, uncertainty, and doubt about Donald Trump not continuously addressing the messages of George Stephanopoulos and I approve this message. And yes, I also feel Trump is unfit for office. He's a lying, vicious narcissist with no coherent ideology and a fondness for authoritarians as well as being a con-man who preys on the weak with various scams.

Where do the trolls get the word "vicious" to describe Trump? They all do it. "Vicious" how? Compared to the left? Comical. It has to be an assigned word from OFA, the use among trolls is too consistent. I notice it because it makes no sense in context.

Clinton is going on now about Trump owing Obama an apology over the birther thing, and how unfit he is. She is going to base her campaign on Trump and his voters being racist and every kind of ***phobe.
Trump can respond we needed to know more about Obama than his place of birth, just as we need to know Hillary's History. Let's see who she worked for ... various commies in her early days ... she has never apologized for her radical past or her crimes. Trump has a long history of working WITH blacks and has Jesse Jackson on tape praising him, was grand marshal for a Jewish parade, only running for office changed the Madison Avenue narrative. Obviously the one unfit physically and mentally is Hillary. She calls half the nation irredeemable, claims the "minorities" face systemic racism, and she thinks THAT divisive racist language is "stronger together". Trump has so much evidence of Hillary Hate and Hillary the Liar ... but of course she has the lying media. Posted by: illiniwek at September 16, 2016 10:05 AM (niOEf) 455

They accidentally make it a point a couple of times in the article that one of a very few high-performing females is performing (had performed) at a level similar to the bottom half -OF the bottom half- of the group. They're not trying to draw attention to it that way, of course, but that's what they're telling everyone in each of the four or five instances that they kept pointing out how 10-15% of the men fail this stage and 1/3rd of them fail overall. Someone else had this quote recently. "the best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves." Vladimir Ilyich Lenin
That happened to the GOP a long time ago. It was never Reagan's GOP, they hatted him. The Women's group looking to stop Trump also fall into this category. To paraphrase Sally Fields: They Hate us...they really really hate us. We have to go our own way. The Establishment GOP has all day to keep control of the party. Or, move in to takeover whatever we set up. We have JOBS. They are the idle rich, or very well off. We are screwed blued and tattooed. Posted by: Paladin at September 16, 2016 01:02 PM (WujO7) 467
