Target Begs Customers to Come Back With One-Day Sale, Building Special Transgender Bathrooms

The boycott is biting.

Yesterday they offered a first-time-ever storewide sale. And that comes on the heels of them suffering their first time ever quarterly decline.

And that seems to be due to a boycott over their crazy Whatever Bathroom You Like, Zir policy.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS
Their anti-2nd amendment policies frosted my b*lls, but then they announced their LGBTQABCDEFG stance and have lost my business forever. Well until I can escort my wife or daughter to the bathroom with my open carry weapon of choice into the store and have the store manager compliment me and my accessories.

9 The best part is that it's not an organized protest, they've just pissed off most of the country by shoving their leftism down America's throat and America is answering.

Makes me wonder what's going to happen in November when that many people are so pissed off at lefties they'll just quietly stop going there.

A real people's revolt and it's ticking off all the people who've been hoping for it.

74 this was such a strange stand to take... one thing I'm very grateful for any time I am out of the house without the wife and have the kids along is a family bathroom. I have three little girls. It's difficult when we are out, since I don't want to bring them in the mens room if I can help it, I can't go in the ladies room.

I took my oldest to her first big league baseball game this summer, we picked seats right by a family bathroom, it was great. We go to the movies, they don't have them, it's not so great. We went to a different theater, a bit further away that happened to be near a Target. 85%+ of their stores already have family bathrooms, so we went there after the movie to use the bathroom and look at toys. It was great.

Why take this stand when it's a fairly minimal effort to upgrade the 15 or 14% of your stores that don't already have the separate rest room?

102 Building Special Transgender Bathrooms

Which all Target employees and management should be forced to use. They belong with the perverts and mental defectives.

I wouldn't go to Target unless I was sure that every purchase I made was costing them money.

Speaking of perverts and mental defectives, I had been watching the golf tournament yesterday and left the TV on CBS. When I turned it back on it was 60 Minutes. I was just about to change the channel when I saw that it was this insane piece about a girl swimmer (with all-American high school times, they claimed) who got into Hah-vahd to swim on the girl's team. But ... by the time she got to Hah-vahd she claimed she was a guy. She wanted to swim on the girls team, still, and just "be a guy" the rest of the time ... but for whatever reason that was eventually nixed and the chick decided to swim on the boys' team (LOL).

The whole piece was about how everyone at Hah-vahd was so accepting of the mental cripple (who had a double mastectomy .. but kept her hoo-hah). The idiot coaches were "amazed" that none of the guys on the team had any objections (as if having a slow swimmer who would only barely make the team, if that, would bother anyone). It was hysterical.

And she was a really cute girl, too. Shame. But the punchline came at the end when the chick said that she hadn't ruled out having kids! So much for "wanting to be a guy".

The way certain segments of society are having a grand old time making fun of these damaged personalities by humoring and encouraging their insanity is really something.

Anyway, glad to hear this girl will have a special bathroom at Target, now. After all, she is probably pretty embarrassed when she has to piss and has such problems with the urinals in the boys room.

One brother took control away from the other (Arthur) (who was running everything) and the customers and employees reacted. Market Basket lost serious business. Arthur scrounged up financial backers and bought his brother out and everything is right in the world again. These protests work. Maybe not quickly, but they are effective.

I certainly stopped my occasional shopping there, and I certainly hope their situation is related to their absurd, arrogant, and offensive behavior.

But regardless, it's sort of one more log on the already-broken camel's back, when it comes to respect for the country and its institutions (which, via the normal responsiveness of large businesses and their boards/management to mainstream American culture, used to include iconic retail outfits).

Ace alluded to this below in his national anthem/NFL post. For cause, and only recently, I have my own serious change of comfort level with even symbolic aspects of "patriotism". The alien, loathsome behavior of American business (Apple is particularly despicable, as is Google) regarding basic values of freedom, human dignity, and an open society puts them in the same category as your garden variety Third World dictatorship.

You know that separate restrooms are not satisfactory to the LBQTWTFBBQ crowd, right? This has been the fight all along--"making" someone use a "separate" bathroom makes them feel separated.

They MUST be permitted to go all the way across the line. It cannot be enough to have an option to not use the men's room if you're not sure you're really a man, despite what your nether regions look like. It's actually understandable that a man who dresses like a not man might not feel comfortable in a men's room.

But we have to agree to their mad assertion that they are actual women now, with full rights and privileges accorded thereto, including being considered to be women in every part of the public sphere, in every way.

Having a 'door number three' puts them in a "none of the above" category, which apparently hurts them in their feelings.

One reason to continue to shop at stores is because kids are constantly growing, so they need to try on clothes to make sure they fit. But, Target has made sure that the changing rooms there are pedophile friendly. So, what to do? Just buy it on Amazon and say it fits well enough.

199 You've been duped, Ace. The new $20 million single-occupancy (one per store) bathrooms are for NORMAL people who don't want their children exposed to perverts. Everyone who doesn't use them is potentially exposed to any sex offender or other pervert who claims to "feel like a woman" today. One of them, in a dress and wig, was already arrested filming teen girls changing swim suites in an Idaho Target.

Target is down from $84 when the controversy started to about $70 today. Sales in Q2 were down 7.6 percent. Target has resorted to unprecedented one-day desperation sales to get foot traffic back up in the store. Both the COO and the CEO have both admitted that declining traffic since the boycott kicked in is their number one problem.

These are hard core pervert enablers, though, and why not? The CEO already got rich last year with an $18 million bonus. He really cares more about his perverted agenda than stockholder interest at this point. Moreover, Target is run by the mentally unstable trust fund liberal baby Mark Dayton.

Don't expect any common sense from these folks any time soon.

Another reason Amazon sucks. They wanted to put distribution centers in all/most of the states, so were going to be subject to sales tax in most/all sales anyway. So, they've done a 180 degree turn and now strongly support the federal internet sales tax initiative. It should be taught in textbooks as to how big corporations use cronyist government to crush small businesses - the innovators and the jobs creators.

299 I use to have a weekly Target habit, still have my Red Target Visa card. It's been gathering dust for months now. The leftist idiots dismissively blew off their bread and butter customers like my SIL, my sisters and me for less than 1% of the population. That is what you call a really stupid marketing strategy. They can discount out the yin yang. The thing is, many of their customers, like me, have found alternative places to shop. It's called voting with your feet. Of course, they will never admit that their transgendered bathroom policy has been a complete debacle, they will blame it on something else (I read somewhere, they were blaming soft iPhone sales). I have to say, in light of the Christian businesses that were forced to participate in gay weddings, I'm finding Target's woes rather delicious! In one case, you have the government infringing on the rights of private businesses, on the other you have a private business trying to foist their PC social engineering on consumers. I love that there are still some people in this country who are standing up for what's right!

314 To be honest, we quit shopping at Target a long time ago, long before all this trannie-in-the-ladies-room nonsense. Before we moved out here to the lake, we lived very close to the Meyerland Plaza shopping center in Houston, and there is a big Target store there. Problem was, after the Target opened there it became very popular with the "PoC" crowd.

And truth be told, it was worth your life to walk across the Target parking lot to get to the store. This because the "angry black females" (as the wife so euphemistically put it) would try to run your ass over if you were of the Caucasian persuasion and trying to get to or from that Target. Not worth it then, certainly not worth it now.

It's not like the media reports, i.e. that dudes in dresses can use the women's restroom, while dykes in buzzcuts can use the men's restroom. No. Not at all.

The New Way of Being is that ALL restrooms (at least in liberal areas) will become ALL GENDER, so that, basically, anyone can go into any bathroom.

Which, actually, defeats the purpose of restrooms, which is to give people a private place AWAY FROM THE PRYING EYES OF THE OPPOSITE GENDER to do your business.

With this new system, you might as well just shit on the sidewalk.

(Which is what half the residents of San Francisco do anyway, but that's a different story.)

I've never "made" a new thing in my life.

Now - I've taken controllers and sensors and motors and such and wrote simple little programs that used them all in new ways. One patent-pending new way (come on baby, hit for daddy, one time).

But all just putting together stuff somebody else made. I just looked at 'em with my College Redneck eye and said "Hey, hold my beer. You ain't gonna' believe this shit."

You don't use your schooling ?

Posted by: ScoggDog at August 29, 2016 06:21 PM (fiGNd)

333 And I still say I am not boycotting them. I may be imbuing the word boycott with extra meaning; but in my mind if I signed a boycott petition that would mean the company or store could take an action or reverse an action and win back my business. I don't know that Target could apologize enough in addition to changing their "Xe can use whatever changing or bathroom Xe wants" to get me back.

I can forgive honest mistakes but with the snooty nose in the air responses of "you are just being phobic" they had to warnings of "this is a mistake" they can join Woolworths as chains that don't exist anymore. And AFAIK poor Woolworths never told any customers that they were redneck misanthropes.

336 Did not sign the petition but just quietly boycotted Target and stopped going there. Actually prefer Wal-Mart as it is closer and cheaper on most items.

Since there are soooo many clueless CEOs around, I hereby offer to be a sounding board for their next brilliant retail idea. And for the bargain rate of only $500 per hour. You know, just to help them get in touch with that small niche of, what, 50% of the country. As a public service!

When the President says that to his handler, not so much.

340 Posted by: ScoggDog at August 29, 2016 06:25 PM Well yeah, I was only killing time until the health thread came up. Which is a bit weird since I am not very health gain oriented but I want to thank Ace for introducing me to the concept of of intermittent fasting. Even if that is a just a fancy term for routinely skipping 1 or 2 out of 3 meals per day it seems to work and be easy for me to do.

343 Haven't read the thread (had to make dinner) but I'm pretty sure those bathrooms they are building are for US. Transgenders can use them, too. But they are for those of us who don't want to go in a restroom with the opposite sex in there.

And this does NOTHING about the dressing rooms.

344 You don't use your schooling ?

Posted by: ScoggDog at August 29, 2016 06:21 PM (fiGNd)

Sadly, not for a while. Been doing the full-time mom thing. I'm looking for paying work now, but it doesn't have to be in what used to be my field.

Truth is, I only picked those degrees coz they came with scholarships. Always out for a freebie, that's me.

Posted by: @votermom at August 29, 2016 06:38 PM (Om16U)

345 The ironic thing about the separate bathrooms is that is EXACTLY what the Obama administration has said schools can't do.

Posted by: MayBee at August 29, 2016 06:39 PM (v2BrT)

346 Let's review the last few years:

1) SJW call for boycott of Chick fil A = stores have surge of customers
2) SJW call for boycott of Hobby Lobby = stores have surge of customers
3) SJW take a beloved movie, remake, and turn it into social commentary while insulting half the country = movie tanks
4) SJW influence big box store to go 'anything goes' bathroom which doubles down = store stock plummets from lack of sales

What is the correlation?

Posted by: Astronaut Achmed at August 29, 2016 06:46 PM (Kiz9M)

347 Yes, Target is tight with the Obamas.. Remember when Michelle did her photo op "shopping" at Target?

That reminds me of way back when my daughter was going to her firs day in first grade. She was afraid to go . I asked her why she was afraid, and she told me she did not know everything the first graders knew. I calmed her down and told her, that you will learn it when you go to first grade.

351 People will always make decisions like this so that the SJWs will love them, apparently unaware that the number of SJWs has been vastly overinflated by the Media.

Conversely, they are aware of the huge stink the SJWs can make if they're not catered to.

I just checked the pj thread, and it appears they have banished those guys. It took three days, but good.

I'm not going to frequent a web site where men (or women, for that matter) are allowed to call women body parts, comment about their body part's smell, etc.

Again, kudos to the AOS staff for being quick in moderating when necessary.

365 Anyone can use any bathroom
they "identify" with, they're just putting a $20 million fig leaf over
it with a third bathroom option.

Can't wait for Dodger Stadium to create 20,000 individual bathroom stalls. Should come under cost projections.

Posted by: Corona at August 29, 2016 08:23 PM (ragzU)

366 Target is not "building special transgender bathrooms." Wherever Target does not already have private (or "family," as they call them) restrooms, it is building them, for those who don't feel comfortable sharing the "anything goes" restrooms. Ghettoizing normal people, in other words.

The policy has not been reversed. The pervs still have the run of the place. Picture usually-empty "whatevs" restrooms, and a line to use the one-holer.

Posted by: Chas C-Q at August 29, 2016 08:32 PM (Y0Piu)

367 Fill up a shopping cart with perishable food and goods and then abandon it in a lonely corner of store when you suddenly realize you have to go to the bathroom and remember their policy so you have to run home.

Posted by: doesky at August 29, 2016 08:37 PM (XDfB3)

368 From what I read on social media - yes its about the bathrooms, but its also about the company basically telling loyal customers to fuck off with their concerns.

People are REALLY pissed. Most I hear from aren't going back no matter what.
