Trump Pivoting to Eff Over His Voting Base on Deportation?

He seems to be preparing everyone for that blow -- or at least letting this out as a trial balloon, to gauge the intensity of the blowback.

I only say that he "seems" to be saying this because Trump frequently seems to not know what he's talking about, or realize he's directly contradicting things he's said before.

For any normal politician, I'd say he's definitely repudiating his long-standing promises.

For Trump, who knows.

Every day is a new reinvention.

Trump's immigration plan: Deport 'bad ones,' treat 'the rest' like Obama does

Jenna Johnson
The Washington Post

After spending a few days reflecting on his immigration stances and consulting with Hispanic supporters, Donald Trump on Monday detailed how he would deal with the millions of immigrants illegally living in the United States: Enforce laws that are already on the books and continue to do what President Obama is doing, although "perhaps with a lot more energy."

This strategy marks a sudden change for the Republican nominee, who has presented himself as a politically incorrect outsider who is not afraid to take extreme measures to combat illegal immigration, such as deporting 11 million people or constructing a massive wall along the southern border. For more than a year, Trump insisted that all illegal immigrants "have got to go" and that he would create a "deportation force" to carry out the task.

Trump struck a starkly different tone during an interview with Bill O'Reilly of Fox News that aired on Monday night. Trump said he would separate the country's undocumented immigrants into two groups: The "bad ones" who would be kicked out of the country as soon as he takes office and "everybody else" who would go through the same process that the Obama Administration is currently using.

"The first thing we're going to do if and when I win is we're going to get rid of all of the bad ones," Trump said. "We've got gang members, we have killers, we have a lot of bad people that have to get out of this country. We're going to get them out, and the police know who they are. They're known by law enforcement who they are. We don't do anything. They go around killing people and hurting people and they're going to be out of this country so fast your head will spin. We have existing laws that allow you to do that."

AllahPundit asks if there's any difference between Trump, the GOP establishment, and Marco Rubio on immigration anymore except for the unlikely promise of The Wall.

Warning: I have seen these threads devolve too many times. Accept this not so friendly warning: Use of emotionally charged, bullying tactics to get people to shut up and silently accept your narrative will be responded to by a banning.

You can disagree with each other all you like. Shouting at each other to shut people up is not disagreement and won't be tolerated.

6 It shouldn't be so complicated - E-Verify, fine and jail business owners who give illegals jobs, no welfare for illegals - none - no public housing vouchers - none - tax the shit out of remittances to ALL other countries (to be fair) - offer free transportation back to home country.
Problem solved.

38 I don't think Trump is changing. So much of what is written about him and his plans comes from enemies that it is difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff. Nobody was going to deport 11 million people. He always said it would be those committing crimes and the rest would get some sort of treatment like green cards after paying a fine and identifying themselves.

96 Deporting between 11 and 18 million would be logistically impossible.

______

It's not impossible, but you have to start somewhere and it has to be politically palatable, so why not start with say the ones with criminal records and move down the list.

If you had a President willing to make some high profile deportations, you would see them leaving in mass numbers on their own once word got out.

106 here's two ways to get rid of illegals:

1. Make companies verify the documents submitted, instead for forbidding them to.

2. Go after private citizens who hire nannies, housekeepers, gardeners, pool guys, etc, w/o documents, payroll deductions, 1099s, etc.

you could nail somewhere 1/2 to 2/3rds of my neighbors with that, and the fines collected would be YUGE.

it would also dry up the labor demand, sending the cerotes back to their home sewer.

Pretty typical nowadays, so if the MSM says it or writes it, color me skeptical.

As I haven't researched it, i don't know what Trump's current position is and how if differs from what he said before. This I do know. however. whatever positions people like about Trump (and I never thought he would deport all illegals or expected him to) every leftist media outlook will put out information saying "Trump won't do such and such" between now and the election. It's a way to depress votes. Hillary is a money laundering serial liar who sold out American interests and left people to die in Benghazi. Where will he be in a year - how much more "mildly" will he be enforcing things when his big biz pals convince him the status quo is fine? Make a few high profile busts but, other than that, no mass deportation like he promised my parents and in-laws in order to get them on his Crazy Train to the White House. 175 Trump constantly tells you how great he is at negotiation, how spectacular he is at making deals.

The thing is, people who are great at making deals are great at helping themselves. They're experts at getting more out than they put in. They get the long end of the stick, and leave everyone else with the short end.

Trump's negotiating with you for your vote. What makes you think he's going to let you have the long end?

At one point, O'Reilly asked Trump about expanding the court system
to adjudicate all of these cases and setting up detention centers to
house people as they wait for their immigration cases to be heard. Trump
quickly batted down the suggestion that he would house people in
detention centers.

237 The thought had occurred to me. That's why I say, clarity is easy. If it came from them, all he has to do is send out his proxies to say clearly, "they will all be deported". But that's not what we're hearing. We're hearing equivocation and hedging. That always means one thing.
Posted by: pep at August 23, 2016 07:44 PM (LAe3v)

Where in his policy does it state that all illegal aliens will be forcibly deported through some specially created deportation force for this purpose? As far as I can tell, this is the claim that the media is making.

Now, do I believe Trump has been vague on this? Yes, probably intentionally too. He says, "Ike deported a few million", "We need to enforce our laws", "There will be a big beautiful door for the good ones after they leave". What does that mean? It depends on the listener obviously. And I'll admit that Trump was probably more than happy to let some ambiguity remain.

I, for one, have always interpreted his position as someone who does not want to address any questions of legal status until the priorities of border enforcement, deportation of criminals, and sanctuary cities are dealt with. In other words, non-comprehensive reforms (reforms, at least in relative terms to what is happening today although much of this can be accomplished without legislation).

Beyond that, I suspect - but do not know for a fact - that he intends to use other mechanisms short of physical roundups to induce self-deportation (eVerify, denial of benefits, etc.). I also guess that he will take some subset (aka "the good ones") and give them some sort of worker/non-citizen status through a touchback or touchback like program. These are just guesses though. I also would not be shocked if he requires fees to be paid and applies these to the costs of the wall.

Again, the idea of mass physical deportation through a coercive force of human law enforcement is not spelled out the way the media originally (and even his competitors with their "jackboots" comparisons) cast his position, which has remained (and yes, that Trump has allowed to remain until now).

I'm willing to wait to hear what he has to say.

254 6 It shouldn't be so complicated - E-Verify, fine and jail business owners who give illegals jobs, no welfare for illegals - none - no public housing vouchers - none - tax the shit out of remittances to ALL other countries (to be fair) - offer free transportation back to home country.
Problem solved.

That and eliminate automatic citizenship for babies born to illegals.

Oh, and start a bracero program. People who meet the qualifications can come and work here but there is no path to citizenship. Enforce the Bracero program on those already living here but who haven't committed crimes.

As a Texan who has known many, many illegals throughout the years and who has seen enough of Mexico and Central America to know that they're horrible places, I have a lot of sympathy for illegals. However, sympathy and basic human decency does not mean granting citizenship to anyone who comes here.

Posted by: Flawless Male Logic at August 23, 2016 08:03 PM (lKyWE)

Harry Truman deported 6 million illegal aliens.
Ike deported 5 million.

Both at a time when the total American population was less than half of what it is today.

And forgetting the people crossing from Mexico, we have several million people here who have violated their visa requirements.

We don't have to round up everyone all at once and ship them out.

We have to enforce the laws already on our books, cut off all benefits and severely punish anyone who knowingly employs illegal aliens.

The problem will solve itself within 2 years.

We know that both Democrat and GOP-e parties do not want this for differing reasons.

If Mr. Trump can be blunt about Black America and its problem, why can he not just state what I just did and stick to it?

Simply looking at the comparative rate for young Latinas of all economic strata blows the needle out of the meter.

"The rate of childbirth for Mexican teenagers, who come from by far the
largest and fastest-growing immigrant population, greatly outstrips
every other group. The Mexican teen birthrate is 93 births per every
1,000 girls, compared with 27 births for every 1,000 white girls, 17
births for every 1,000 Asian girls, and 65 births for every 1,000 black
girls."

Statistics drawn from Heather MacDonald's piece _Hispanic Family Values_, which puts paid to a whole lot of that "natural conservatives" crap, with hard actual realities about how much Hispanics adore and rely upon the welfare state.

LOl, agree completely. I don't see any of what Trump has said as being backtracking. What he is currently saying is rational and moreover realistic. What wasn't realistic and was NEVER uttered by Trump was that he was going to depart every single illegal living here, including parents of 3 year old children who were born here and would be snatched from momma's desperate arms as she was being dragged across the Rio Grande.

It's only the people who were shrieking that Trump was going to deport every Mexican living here, and let Mexico figure out if they were in the US illegally or not, that now are shrieking that he is backtracking on immigration and he is going to give amnesty to everyone who hasn't murdered at least four people .

Reasonable, thinking people have known all along that there is no way the gov. is going to be able to round up and put 11 M illegals in boxcars and ship them to Mexico, or stuff them in a cargo plane and fly them back to the ME. What the DO expect the gov to do is to follow it's exisiting laws, allow the border patrol to do it's job, stop encouraging people to come here illegally by offering them everything from free school to free health care to free food, and to finally get serious about passing a law that prohibits instant citizenship to any baby born here in the USA.(something that happens no where else on the planet).

Plus, the story came out during the primaries, he market-researched it. He listened--or had analysts listening--to conservative talk radio for like 2 years, to find what was popular among conservatives. He never had to believe the stuff he was selling, he just had to sell it. Now the product is before a more mixed market, and the appeal has to be broadened.

Follow the law in sending home those caught breaking the law and wala. We are back on the road to having a sane, organized immigration policy which is a far cry from the tragedy that the lawless pile of mung is today.

336 Trump's very good at crawfishing, but I'm not sure if that is what this is, or if it's just a softening of his rhetoric. The Wall, at least, is still non-negotiable.

I mentioned this a couple of threads ago, but it bears repeating -- NRO has published an opinion piece by "The Editors" that makes the case that Hillary needs to be criminally investigated and soon. I'm assuming that The Editors is the same group that wrote that vicious anti-Trump issue of their monthly rag.

http://tinyurl.com/z36wgs4

At almost the same time, VDH, writing at NRO, penned a piece taking on

Conservative columnists and analysts are so turned off by Trump that they resort to sophisticated metaphors to express their distaste - like "abortion," "ape", "bastard," "bitch," "cancer," "caudillo," "dog crap," "filth," "idiot," "ignoramus," and "moron." Some of them variously talk of putting a bullet through his head given that he resembles, or is worse than, Caesar, Hitler, Mussolini, or Stalin.

Well, enough about Kevin D. Williamson. But VDH does suggest that people, supposedly on the conservative side, writing like that should lose their jobs.

*Kevin, time to update the ole resume*

Anyhow, here's VDH's piece:

I was watching CNN this morning. And they quoted Trump's line about black and Hispanic people getting shot in the streets. And I knew--I just knew--they were going to play a montage of umbrages over this statement. And I was right, clips of people who live in black neighborhoods saying yes, there is some crime but it's not so bad "and I felt really insulted..." I wish I had those odds on a roulette wheel.

Meanwhile, Black Lives Matter says that cops are hunting young black men down in the streets, and no amount of black cops you can parade in a montage will change the "legitimacy" of this inflated fear.

It's really this long term hypnotism of the liberals and their media: Be open-minded, and "open-minded" means this position...accept this position and feel the pride of being open-minded...(close your mind on the other position as "close-minded"...shun the unfashionable "close-minded"...).

How about directing the Dept of Education to cut off funding of any university that enrolls anyone who is in the country illegally? Including, say, Saudi's who overstay their student visas?

The DOE has no problem threatening universities that receive federal funding with cut off if they don't have transgender bathrooms, or don't have sufficient minority enrollment or any number of progressive ideas.

408 Hill of beans:

From the internet:
"Before machine planting, many vegetables were planted in groups of four to six seeds. This group of seeds was called a hill.
The purpose of planting in hills was to make it easier for the young sprouts to push up through the soil.Together, five or six can break the dry crust of the soil, where one might not be able to. Also, much of the home grown seeds did not germinate, so planting five or six together assured that a couple would grow.
In a large field of many millions, one hill didn't amount to much, therefore a hill of beans was worth just about zero."

Anyone know what "slump" is?

As in "concrete slump."

Slump refers to the stiffness of the uncured concrete before it is poured. From a scale of 1-10. They dump a little a pile on the ground out of the truck's shute and check how much it spreads out. The wetter the concrete, the more it spreads or slumps. The dryer (stiffer) the concrete, the more of a conical pile it makes.

And what's different now? The fact that he wants to deport convicted criminals first because they pose the greatest danger? Did people actually think that Donald Trump was going to mobilze the Army to go through each and every neighborhood, busting into homes, and apartments, dragging anyone sounding foreign into the streets, zip tying their wrists and then filling up trucks with them to haul to an airplane hanger if they don't have "papers"?

The country has existing deportation and immigration laws that if followed, provide a procedure to deport anyone in the country illegally who is found either by being involved in a criminal activity or some other event requiring government interactions with them, such as hospitalizations, schools, etc.
What we are not doing now is actually deporting those caught at the border, Not providing enough of a barrier at the border to stop illegal crossing, not allowing the border patrol to do their job, including defend themselves when attacked by illegals, we alllow sanctioning cities for providing safe havens for illegals, we are allowing states to issue drivers licenses, CA. actually allows illegals to attend law school and pass the bar, we are ignoring illegal status of those applying for food stamps welfare, school vouchers, etc., on and on.

This is why we have the number of illegals here. IF we don't address the above situations first, we will continue to have more people arrive here than we can physically deport.

Your circle of friends and family does not include many, if any, supporters of the opposing team. That is fine. That is what most people's circle of friends would likely look like. That doesn't invalidate the polling. That just means your circle of friends is not representative of the state as a whole.

Posted by: chemjeff at August 23, 2016 09:27 PM (5p18q)

463 Well Trump very early said the wall only would be about 1000 miles, due to other natural borders. And he had Giuliani with a plan for added security ... so Trump has not changed on that.

Back when I was hoping for walker, Walker said we'd stop the flow, THEN decide what to do with those here later. They were sure that was the smart approach ... to not promise amnesty nor deporting, it would be figured out after border control.

Trump said they'd have to go back but never explained how easy it would be to come back through that big beautiful door in his beautiful wall. He always said he'd be humane with those here illegally. "Trust me, trust me"

All he has changed now is he is starting with those that are criminals, gang members. Trump now puts emphasis on deporting "LEGALLY", and some emphasis on increasing demands for e-verify. And still must be fair to US workers and those waiting to come in. Just no emphasis now, on forced deporting 11 million, humanely.

POTENTIALLY that is no change at all ... unless he was promising mass deportations by force, which I don't recall. A deportation force ... he had said that and still will, using current law. So there is softening a little ... but he had also said he would negotiate. I just don't see this as "OMG he is copping out, he is just like Rubio". That could still happen, but he does want to get elected first.

But I guess the Trump haters need to get in a lot of "see we told you so" ... but I was never sure who he was going to let back in through his beautiful door. In that sense he took the Walker approach ... border control first. Close the border, gangsters out, Americans first, the rest slowly "self deport". Still the best option, more realistic now. He needs to say "no amnesty" to make me happy, but he always had the "touch back amnesty" on the table.

472 Fair enough, but most of the money for education is allocated at the state level. I'm not sure what the current federal law is on education funding but President Trump can't order the Dept of Ed to disregard the law.

Well, I guess he could, but I'm not sure I like the idea of disregarding laws that are inconvenient. If it's an impeachable offense when Obama does so it would be for a Republican president too. I think throwing out rule of law for turnabout is fair play would be a disastrous path to follow.
Posted by: Baron Von Ottomatic at August 23, 2016 09:03 PM (fn3+

I'm talking about universities. They accept federal funding with only a handful that don't. Hillsdale doesn't and it's possible they may be the only college in the country that refuses all federal money, including accepting students who take federal grants and loans.

Why? Because they ended up being told by the Feds in 1984 to start counting the race of the students. Hillsdale was one of the first colleges in the nation to prohibt discrimination of gender race and religion and was anti slavery from the beginning. After a legal battle, Hillsdale lost and decided the only thing they could do to remain independent of govt. interference was to stop any funding by the gov.

So, yes, the Federal gov. funding is able to be removed at will from the college level educational experience.

Thanks Ace. I've been coming here for years and years. Because of your sense of humor and quick wit. Thought you were a real gem. You had God's gifts, I thought.

It pains me now.

I don't care if anybody accepts my narrative. Especially not silently! So you got me, and my kind figured all wrong. I am not a bully, never have been. Just an angry dude, like you - about to use some angry language (like you do very often) to make my point.

Lately - you, and a good number of my friends - cannot stop beating down, vilifying, and degrading our candidate.

Sorry you don't like him. Sorry he won, fair and square. Sorry he's the only guy in the last 50 years that understands fighting and WINNING is dirty.

I didn't like any of the RINOs I was forced to vote for for the last 34 fucking years. But I voted for the R anyway, like a good and dutiful R, conservative should, right? Everyone on the right said, "he's not perfect, of course, but he's better than the liberal opponent."

Now you and your fellows abandon that philosophy and have turned. Now I am supposed to suffer your righteous indignation while you retire to the fainting couch? Our guy ain't good enough all of a sudden? Fuck you!

The "conservatives" and you have asked us to swallow liver oil for so many elections, for the collective good, for America,

But this one election is too much for you, right? You won't swallow the liver oil - it's only the stupid rubes who do that, right?

I've had it with your bitching. I've supported you and your ilk while you sat silently, helped the left rape me and mine thru your proxies Boehner, McConnell, McCain - who else? (Nice show they put on, bro).

Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

In case you don't understand, you tender-feeling fuckwit, THIS IS THE LAST STAND.

And yet you continue every day to chip away at our own block.

Have you learned nothing from 50 years of "Progressive" progression? They never, EVER fail to circle the wagons. They never, EVER fail to support their felons, their murderers, their sodomites running prostitution rings in fucking congress. And they WIN. Always.

No, Miss Manners, you are focused on on your personal image. Polite and upright to the end, right? Nice strategy.

Now fuck off. And fuck off again.

Keep fucking yourself until Hillary is in office and takes your life savings that Trump thought you had a right to keep. But he's a fool, right? An ignoramus? Uncultured brute?

I guess he wasn't nice-nice enough for you when he tried to defend America and her principles so inelegantly, right?

So you'll gladly give up the republic, all of it to preserve your righteous image of yourself.

Trump wants a triumphant America but you can't get behind it, because why??

Inelegance?

Did I mention, fuck off?

In case I didn't, because maybe I forgot, let me announce again, "fuck off!"

And how bout this? "Suck Hillary's dick!"

Have you noticed that you've been banning an ever growing list of once-supporters??

Hmm. We're all bamboozled and befuddled. How can it be? What a complete fucking mystery!

When you decided to question my integrity for deciding to return to this place, that was too much. Yes I was insulted by that. I don't mind a few jokes at my expense. I do mind people accusing me, in a passive-aggressive manner, of lacking principles or ethics. And even if that wasn't your intent, that is how it came across.

514 506 Polls cost money and usually involve corporations.

This is a logical fallacy. The sponsor of the claim does not de-legitimize the validity of the claim. That is just another form of the ad hominem fallacy.

The polls are using 2012 methodology and not methodology based on the primaries.

What is your evidence for this claim?

Posted by: chemjeff at August 23, 2016 09:58 PM (uAvJJ

No Jeff it is not a logical fallacy but common sense and proven that people pay pollsters for the desired results. It is reality in this election. 45 million in Wall Street donations to Hillary. 19k in Wall Street donations to Trump.

My proof is reading the internals. They all use and "weigh" polls based on 2012 general election.
Using the model based on the Primary turnouts the republican ticket ie Trump is expected to get over 73 million votes. See the Monster Vote. Also look at the republican primary that shattered records for voters and had many new registered republicans and many of those were cross over democrats and independents.

I'm done arguing. Put up the wrestling mask or make up and eat crow over Georgia or don't. Take the bet or don't. You are super convinced that Georgia is a swing state so it is a fair even bet. Hillary takes Georgia I eat the crow. Trump wins and you eat the crow.

Georgia's been getting a lighter and lighter shade of pink for years now, its perfectly possible for it to become a toss-up state with depressed Republican turnout and/or a split conservative vote. In a few years, Atlanta will turn it into Virginia.

538 People telling Trump supporters that the polls are lying are lying. One or two polls may be outliers, but the general trend is clear.

A lot of Conservatives took the wrong conclusion from the (true) idea that the MSM is biased. The useful conclusion is that every outlet, left or right, is biased to some extent. The honorable outlets are those that (unlike the MSM) are as open and honest about their bias as possible and attempt to avoid outright falsehoods. Ace, for instance, is quite honest.

A lot of conservatives seem to have decided instead to absolutely reject anything that comes from the MSM or other outlets that say things they don't like. Instead, they put absolute trust in right-leaning sights that lie about their bias. They don't undertake the much harder task of trying to sift the truth from multiple biased sources.

This is why GOP voters seem so susceptible to con men like Trump.

550 Is there any evidence Trump was ever a true believer in the immigration hawk position outside of this last Republican primary? In the month of the 2012 election (2012! Not 1984, not 2004, not 200 he was telling the media that Mitt Romney and other 2012(!) Republicans were too mean-spirited on immigration http://tinyurl.com/p5lz5k3 . That same year he was gushing to the media, on camera, about what a great president he thought Hillary Clinton would be, and how terrific she is ( http://tinyurl.com/z3dvlat ). He's expressed other paleo-conservative sentiments before then, like the isolationism and trade protectionist, but as far as I can tell never on immigration. People assumed by filling in the blanks, but it turns out he was always too fond of employing them.

The man has a grab-bag of applause lines that he knows works, and he knows how to pander to certain crowds. People seem to have a hard time grasping that the man doesn't have an ideology, and to what little extent he can simulate one it's always very fickle and, of course, always negotiable. He brought out the immigration lines when he was playing to a Republican primary audience, but he'll never, ever have to run in a Republican primary again. Now he's pandering to the RNC and the general election voters, as he will for the rest of his time as the Republican party's presidential candidate (be it it 2.5 months or 8 years). Just make the sale, that's always been his only goal here. If the client wants a wall, you promise a wall, and if something else comes up, we'll have to see where we are and renegotiate. He doesn't have any secret rich guy tricks he's gonna pull off in October to turn things around, he just has this one trick: tell the client what the client wants to hear, and get the deal in writing.

Everyone saying "wait and see", this is exactly who and what his 70 year biography (including 30+ years as a highly visible public figure) tells us he is and always has been. There are still some Ace-style cynical arguments to be made for voting for him, especially against Hillary, but if you're still thinking dad just went out to buy cigarettes and he'll be back any day now, then you are 2016's version of the lady saying Obama was gonna pay her mortgage back in 2008. Everyone else knew Trump was exactly what he seemed to be on the surface since he first poked his head into public consciousness, and aren't gonna apologize for seeing it clearly. If you think Trump is an effective blunt instrument, argue that, but don't lie to yourselves or to the rest of us.

553 chemjeff,

With all due respect, why are you here? It seems like an emotional issue or something. Do you post ten times as often when the topic is Trump and his supposed betrayals or mistakes than anything else? Why? And you basically take on surface value the position of an established institution with a vested interest that is going against Trump, even though the main theme of the election is the establishment/insiders against the rest of us. The theme isn't the Constitution or rolling back the size of government or our Judeo-Christian values, which have fallen into desuetude anyway.

First, to be accurate for 2016 the polling models and methodology should reflect the numbers from the primaries in 2016. Not the general election in 2012.

Second, I knew Romney was going to lose after he took a drive in the second debate. He took a dive. He was a ringer. It made me sick to my stomach.

Romney has gone after Trump harder than he ever went after Obama. Makes one think, yes?

I have no idea why he did not run for re-election. My guess is that he is a puppet playing his role in the Uniparty.

559 Seems like my respectful and polite comments are being deleted.

Whoever is moderating this blog: if you feel the only way to win an argument is to suppress the other point of view, you have admitted to yourself that you are wrong.

Like millions of former GOP voters, I won't vote for Trump. Trump is corrupt and has lied about everything. He was an amnesty guy in 2012, was, get this, not truthful in the primary, and his supporters who bashed Rubio as worse than Hillary really shouldn't complain when I say Trump is worse than Hillary.

Trump has historically been a very loyal friend to the worst democrats, Hillary and Weiner included.

But it's more complex than that. Sure, Hillary and Trump are the same politically, but Trump stabbed us in the back, and destroyed the GOP and many conservatives down ticket. It would be terrible for the GOP to be led by him, and he would purge it of conservatives. He's already promising to spend millions to destroy Cruz.

It would be healthier for the GOP if it opposed President Hillary. Remember the late 90s and how the GOP was actually decent for a while.

Anyway, I am very surprised to find the comments I left have been removed. The paranoia that insists 'fake' about everyone saying they are conservative but do not support Trump is pointless. There are a lot of polls confirming we're pretty numerous.

Kelly Anne Conway is being exposed as we speak for infiltrating Trump and giving him the shiv to destroy him just like the GOPe stated they would do.

Kelly Anne Conway is a puppet, but she is carrying the knife. SAhe was first part of Team Rubio. Then after the GOPe meeting in secret on Sea Island March 3rd-*6th she jumps to team Cruz telling all of Team Rubio to jump aboard. On March 8th only a couple of days saying anti Trump is no threat to Trump and down playing it, she begins to attack him. She is pro amnesty and pro women issues. Professional pollster specializing in Womenz.

Nice Try GOPe. Nice Try Uniparty.

561 Here is the deal. We'll keep voting for people who support our positions, until we eventually get a son of a bitch that will do what he says he's going to do. Trump may or may not do what he's said he would do, well see, and if he doesn't then we'll 'next' him.

562 I think Trump is doing an exceptional job in a difficult position. I think the Universe has answered my question as to how we got here and why politicians are so corrupt. Adam Smith spoke of invisible hand. Collectively we have an invisible mob. Trump is getting himself elected by that mob. Hillary, Romney, Bush family et al are trying to rig that mob. Similar to what the Federal Reserve is trying to do with the invisible hand.

563 Trump polls really, really badly with demographics that he needs at least a portion of to have any hope of winning. These changes in tone and substance are designed to get new voters. He's betting that his base will accept this tactic or not care, perhaps believing that it's all just words to get votes.

The whole point is to get elected. He is an adherent to the BAMN principle.

564 I could have told you the Festung idea is a just another shovel-ready job waiting to happen.

But noooooo.

566 He better watch it, trump's tough stance on immigration is a big part of why I haven't sided with that butthole johnson yet. He goes too wishy-washy on that and he loses one of his main positive points.

567 Warms my heart to see so much love for the Marco Rubio border-security-then-amnesty-discussion position!! I am happy to see folks here so open minded!

569 I get such a kick out of everyone trying to parse every word that Trump says. He will build a wall. Mexico will pay for it. Are we going to round up 11 million people at gun point? Maybe. Maybe not. We will definitely not keep doing whatever the hell you call what we are doing right now. We have laws. I think, from the twinkle in his eye, that Trump has been reading up on the laws that are existing. And we can extrapolate from that that he's going to come out with a plan that makes sense.

So please, take a chill pill. I remember lots of politicans making lots of promises and we got none of it.

570 Trump has now endorsed McCain over Trump's own supporter, Kelli Ward. McCain was one of the original members of the Gang of Eight.

That is one more piece of evidence that Trump is the con man we always said he was.
