Colin Powell On Hillary's "Colin Powell Told Me to Break The Law Defense:" I Don't Know What That Brain Damaged Bitch Is Talking About

Well he didn't quite say that but that's the gist.

Colin Powell rejected Hillary Clinton's assertion to the FBI that he had advised her during a 2009 dinner party to use a personal email account.
"General Powell has no recollection of the dinner conversation," the former secretary of state's office said in a statement Friday.

Instapundit had a simple explanation for this discrepancy: It's because she's lying.

But I find that explanation overly simplistic and highly partisan. A much more charitable and plausible explanation is that she is a frail old woman whose brains are garbage and all rotten.

I'm not a squid, but he showed me a picture of the boat he was on: it was the same size as a Navy Destroyer. He told me his ship was featured in a book called "Torpedo Alley" about the fight to rid the east coast of U-Boats. He asked me if I was a vet, I said yes, but I never saw action. "Don't let the VA screw you son, call the VFW and get them to book you an appointment." He was a cool old guy. Great nem too: Harrison Oaks. God bless you, Harrison Oaks.

More like added to it, from what I read. He had said before they talked about his use of a private server, and he advised her when would be good idea for her to use one. She came out and said he told her to do exactly what she did. He's just said, no, I didn't tell her that, and in any case, the conversation happened a year after she'd set hers up.

Unfortunately, there's no transcript of their conversation. He'll say it didn't happen the way she says, she'll say he's vindicated me, and her lies will be taken by the media and her supporters as evidence that she's telling the truth.
The only way it might go differently is if Powell actively worked to bring it to the public's attention, but after this flurry he'll likely never be heard from again.

He had his entire family visiting to see him getting an award, they got back to his and his wife's home, he got pissed about something (he was a thin-skinned bastard), and he said "Fuck you!" to the entire family, grandkids included, and went in the basement and blew his brains out.

He goes to visit his father once a year, due to he lives in TX, dad lived in MI. Dad had lymphoma, which was slowly killing him. Friend says to me, "I think this will be the last time I get to spend with him, I'd better make it good."

He gets to dad's, on the fifth day of his two week visit, goes out to pick up dinner, comes home, dad has blown his brains out in the living room.

I understand in a way why dad did it. He was suffering, in horrible pain. They had already watched mom be eaten alive by cancer six or so years ago.

But to leave someone with that vision for the rest of their life? He couldn't have been thinking clearly. I dunno.

Since his death, she's lost her husband to cancer, and their only child (from a good family, great upbringing, etc.) got in with a black gang (kid was white) and involved in a shooting that killed a little boy. So he's in prison.

364 Actually, Skip, me and my group also use 15mm with the Battlefront Rules although we upped the play level so IIRC an infantry battalion would have about six 3-man stand of figures for Soviet foot and 10 or so for the larger German units. We had a great Barbarossa campaign running for a couple of years.

He lost slight use of his ride side and his speech is slightly impaired. Could have been so much worse. He's doing really well. I just worry about him so much now. So afraid he will have another one.. that will be much worse.

You hang in there. I have a girlfriend in her 50's who had a stroke years ago and she's fine, and my mother had one in her late 70's that left her impaired, but she fully recovered.

I'll keep you and your husband in my prayers.

I'm on BP meds now after it hit 190/110 a couple of weeks ago. Scared me to death. As my husband says, "Better living through chemistry."

FWIW, I've had two friends now have strokes at relatively young ages, and they recovered well and never had another one. I so hope your guy has the same results!

380 We do all sorts of other periods too, Skip, although mainly in 25/28 with the Volley & Bayonet 'grand tactical' rules.

I've got a large collection of early and late WSS figures; and Spanish and Austrian WAS & SYW figures; and early WW1 painted. (And unpainted American War of 1812 -- both sides.) And the group has painted... early WW1 and Russian Civil War; Peninsular War for both sides; everyone else major in the SYW; and Franco-Prussian War.

We haven't been playing regularly for about 2 years now due to deaths in families and personal illnesses.

We might get back to normal soon. I hope.

Wow. I've gone for the Fletcher's corn dogs ever since I was a kid. It must be great to taste them for the first time.

Last year we got pork chops with the bone as the handle from a place near the animal area. I don't remember the name but they were wonderful and Mrs. Hobbit and I are already plotting to find them this year.

I've been to other state and local fairs but the Texas State Fair has them beat by a mile.
