All modern-era "reporters" are running dog communist shills, whether then even know it or not. They job description is to be biased. What good cam come from speaking with them? None. I learned that one can say "people of color", but one cannot say, "colored people." If one says "colored people," one must humble themselves and apologize to the entire world (of course the apology must be effusive and adequate contrition must be in evidence). In addition, one must observe proper grace and protocol when saying, "people of color," by extending their pinky finger toward their audience, as if at tea. You have to treat these "news organizations" like the enemy. You need to do research on the who is doing the interview, who each one is, their political beliefs, etc.
I think the GOP sort of understands that part, the problem is their strategy for dealing with it is all wrong. They think you should play "Turtle". They will then hold up any Republican candidate who is aggressive and steps on a landmine as proof they should have played turtle as well. My view is instead of playing "turtle" they should instead play "fox". View the interview as a chance to draw the reporter into their own trap. Use the intelligence gathered on that reporter to your advantage before the interview. After they swallowed the bait, then be the aggressor and ask them questions...after a few defeats they will be scared of you. Posted by: William Eaton at August 22, 2016 08:34 PM (KhJh8) 301

303 My view is instead of playing "turtle" they should instead play "fox". View the interview as a chance to draw the reporter into their own trap. Use the intelligence gathered on that reporter to your advantage before the interview. Posted by: McCann at August 22, 2016 08:37 PM (MRJyM) ++++ Educate yourself, ignorant one. In the United Kingdom, Canada, and islands under the influence of British education, punctuation around quotation marks is more apt to follow logic. In American style, then, you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's "Design." But in England you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's "Design". The placement of marks other than periods and commas follows the logic that quotation marks should accompany (be right next to) the text being quoted or set apart as a title. http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/marks/quotation.htm Posted by: Anon Y. You can snake down the air vent as well, especially if its down into the bottom of the sewage line, any crap (literally) then is on the roof outside.
The lines just before they exit my house have a hard bend, 1 is definitely not a code as it makes a hard 90 degree so it clogs often. Posted by: Skip at August 22, 2016 09:00 PM (0G2eQ) 369

Posted by: grammie winger at August 22, 2016 09:02 PM (dFi94) I had a bee swarm here last year. Couldn't get a local beekeeper to come round them up. Stated concern being "wild" bees might harbor a virus that could spread to their other hives. Permethrin-based flying insect killer did the number on them. And according to a beekeeper who I consulted, when bees swarm this late in the season, they are doomed to die of starvation anyway, because there is not enough time, nor pollen available, for them to put up stores to see them through the winter. I don't normally like mowing on weekdays after working all day, but I looked at the five-day forecast and saw that I would get two or three decent days, then it's back to 90 and humid by Friday. Do we still use cannons?
======================= There was a documentary series not too long ago that had an episode devoted to the Chesapeake v. Shannon frigate battle. The show went into the reasons that the Shannon won, and one of them (the Chesapeake was clearly outmatched) was that the hull of the US frigate was made white pine, which was cheaper than the oak hull of the HMS Shannon. To prove the case, the production team found a muzzle-loading cannon and a re-enactment team that fired solid shot into large squares of white pine and oak. The pine shattered on impact, sending large splinters flying in all directions. The oak was far more resilient, with less splintering. Posted by: mrp at August 22, 2016 09:42 PM (JBggj) 519

Posted by: Cheri at August 22, 2016 09:41 PM (TmVQX) It's really hard to say. It depends on the bank and how many foreclosures they have in the works. Also, banks have been a little more circumspect about foreclosures after some of the foreclosure mill scandals that cropped up. I've seen people in default be in their house for months. However, my recommendation would be to start your search for a new residence immediately. Posted by: Insomniac at August 22, 2016 09:48 PM (0mRoj) 543

Unrelated question, but is Ace still doing the podcast? I'm a fairly new reader, but I came to the blog by randomly finding the podcast. It's been a few months since the last episode and I was just wondering if that was still going. Anyone?
