State Department Spokesman Straight-Up Lies About Findings of Corrupt Purpose in Iran Edit Scandal

From Fox News, John Sexton digests the latest episode in, get this, the State Department straight-up lying to cover up its previous lies.

Kirby added: “There’s no evidence to suggest [the deletion] was made with the intent to conceal information from the public and … there is no evidence to indicate who might have placed that call or why.”

What Kirby omitted was that the legal adviser’s report — shared with news organizations on condition they not publish it in full — did indeed contain evidence to indicate why the unidentified supervisor demanded the deletion, in a section of the report captioned “Evidence of Purposeful Editing.”

“The technician did not recall a reason being given for the edit request,” the report stated, “but did believe that the requester had mentioned in the course of the call a Fox network reporter and Iran.” The report continued: “The technician indicated that the requester may also have provided the start and end times for an edit.”

But the number of no-longer-operative statements has soared to levels astronomically beyond that of the Nixon years. In 1974, it was just the White House itself which was getting caught in lies, then lying about the lies.

In 2016, it's the White House. State. Justice. Pentagon. EPA. FBI. CIA. IRS. The entire federal mechanism has been infected.

It is the media that is the true enemy, with the "apathetic populous" coming in a strong second for allowing themselves to be led around by the nose acting like a bunch of circus seals, clapping for their treat.

Plus the rest of the justice system. Special blacks-only courts with all black judges, lawyers, juries, bailiffs, you name it.

And, public schools on the same lines. All black. Overseen by monochromatically black school boards.

Really they were proposing to parallelize and ethnically purify the entire model of local governance and services.

185 "When someone mentions that they heard something on NPR, I casually
comment that I used to listen to NPR, but then came into possession of a
shortwave radio and found that I could get less biased 'reporting' from
Radio Havana."

Our local NPR affiliate rebroadcasts the PBS NewsHour.

Yesterday, Judy Woodruff (longtime Clintonworld affiliate) had a brood of giggling hens "reviewing" and "discussing" the latest election news. The subject came up of Hillary Clinton claiming that Colin Powell told her to use private e-mail when she was setting up shop at State.

They talked about this for several minutes and made jokes about it, but not once did any of them ever mention the central factual point of that matter.

Which is that Powell has entirely disavowed and distanced himself from Clinton's version of events. Powell noted that the chronology has her using private e-mail, on a private server, for classified traffic, something he says he would never have recommended. And to have done so for a full year before she ostensibly asked for his advice. Powell said Clintonworld is trying to "pin" the scandal on him. Using that specific phrase.

Not a word of any of this. Radio Havana indeed.

Why would Hillary campaign or have pressers? No need. The electoral college is locked up at this point and the press sure isn't going to ask her any tough questions or question her unavailability.

Combined with Trump running a presidential twitter campaign, at this point what difference does it make?

211 Boom times are coming! --Krugman

This is a minimeme of mine. BIL and SIL talk all so-con, but at the end of the chat there's always the One Reason they have to vote for the liberal Dem. And there's always an "economy's doing great!" line in there. Like the time I took them for Sunday brunch at a crowded restaurant, and she had to comment on how great things are in my town with you-know-who in charge. Three other restaurants had recently gone under, leaving the after-church crowd limited in their choices...

So, BIL bubbled up with John Deere's terrific quarterlies the other day, evidence that the farm and construction sectors must be prospering. If my eyes had rolled any farther back, I'd have never got them back. JD is cutting back everywhere, and beat their "guidance" because they're laying off even faster than scheduled. Slapping these people down is a lot like whack-a-mole. Next week there's a new line.

265 Hillary is played out.

She has nothing to run on except "four more years" when a commanding majority of Americans want change. Obama won't be able to transfer his Immunity Cloak to her.

MSM is all-in for Hillary, but they moved too much too early. After you've called the guy a racist sociopath unfit for office, and published nude snaps of his wife, you've played all your cards. The bias is already too obvious, and swing voters will see through it.

Hillary will now give an anti-alt-right speech this Thursday. Her instinct will be to implicitly attack "bitter clingers" while playing to the cheap seats in states that are already Deep Blue. Stronger together, indeed.

Hillary owns all the bad things that can happen until November, some of her own making.

She'll get schlonged in the debates. People expect her to beat Trump with her wonkiness on the issues, but Trump has so many lines of attack on the Obama/Clinton foreign and domestic record, as well as her and Bill's personal corruption. Bannon and Ailes know how to smooth off Trump's rough edges and reduce his attack to polished sound bites -- think NY Post cover headlines and work backwards.

I've seen one where she talks about her economic plan to somehow increasing the corporate tax rate (and making an exit tax for companies who try to leave), while at the same time making jobs.

It's disheartening that more people can't see the obvious contradiction in those 2 statements in the same 30 second clip.

She has nothing to run on except "four more years" when a commanding majority of Americans want change. Obama won't be able to transfer his Immunity Cloak to her.

I see zero evidence to date that a commanding majority wants change, unless it's more Lefty shit.

The secret to judging polls, particularly RV polls, is to compare them to 2012 demographic and party weightings. 2012 was a scorched earth campaign that depressed voter turnout. There is nothing on the Dem side that would indicate anything different. So if a RV poll is assuming larger D, college educated, young turnout - you know they are skewing it for Hillary. Since June I've noticed an average 5% Hillary skew in all polls - with some really obvious ridiculous polls showing her up +18 (Bloomberg). Back out the skew and you have Trump ahead around 8% nationally.

The Gaslighting by the pollsters this year is quite surprising. My guess is it is caused by all that Saudi money the Clinton's are throwing around.

This is hard to get right, even if you wan to get it right.

Pollsters will often not count someone as a Likely Voter if they didn't vote in the last Presidential election. Especially if they skipped the last two Presidential election.

A lot of blacks voted in 2008 and 2012. 66% in 2012.

A lot of non-college whites didn't. Only 57% in 2012.
