She's disappeared until Sunday. I think Trump too knows LA was not getting the coverage and help it needs and wanted to shine a light on it. It does make him look presidential though and that was an obvious goal.

You pick a place and have that much rain and see if you aren't flooded. It is classified as a 1,000 year flood. Exactly. The entire northern front range of Colorado flooded a couple of years ago because a massive storm system fed *feet* of water (in a region that usually gets about 12" for the year) into the headwaters of every east-flowing river in a 60 mile line. There's just no way to prepare for that (the ground was so saturated it was causing, admittedly small, geysers) yet it happens *somewhere* in the nation pretty much every year.
